Does not work as 2.0 only 1.1
Pros: New Egg's customer service was very good handling problems with this item. They shipped a second unit when the first one did not work at 2.0 speed. When that one did not work either they promptly refunded my money.
Cons: Does not work as a 2.0 USB hub will only work at 1.1 speed. Tested on 4 different PC's failed to function on any as a 2.0 hub. My 3 year old Sabrent 4 port 2.0 hub works great, but beware these current hubs are cheaply made - cheaper plastic, loose sockets, very short cables hardly reaches from the back of the PC, and they do not work at labeled 2.0 speed. The bright constantly flashing LED lights are annoying unless you want a nice decoration if you like that.
Other Thoughts: May work ok as a 1.1 hub. I usually don't write reviews but I think buyers should be warned that this is a Cheap piece of junk not like the older reliable Sabrent hubs. Buy a more reliable brand so you will not waste your time or money.

USB 1.1 only
Pros: The lights are very cool, the center one blinks which may be objectional to some people but it's easy to cover with tape and paper or turn the unit upside down. New Egg's customer service was very very good about the refund for this product when they found out it did not comply to USB 2.0.
Cons: The worst part is it is only USB 1.1 compliant. Yes, the unit has a sticker that says 2.0 but it does not work at that speed. Tested on a fast XP machine and a fast Vista machine. The power adapter is only 500ma which is good for only one device. NewEgg gave me a refund.
Other Thoughts: It seems to work with mice, keyboards, LED lights, anything that does not have to go too fast. I thought i would write this review so others dont make the same mistake as NewEgg sells other hubs which are going to be better.

Great Deal on a Worthwhile USB Hub
Pros: This is a great price for a Leet looking USB hub, when I bought it, it was cheaper than any alternative from Belkin, or other manufacturers, and it matches my usb mouse, and laptop which also have a number of lights on them.
Cons: If you don't like bright lights, don't get it.
But if you do like leet looking gear, (you can see the circuitry and all the connections inside the unit), and elite lights, (one different color for each USB connection) then this is your hub, don't think twice about it, I'm glad I didn't. (and gotten many compliments of how awesome it looks when active)
Other Thoughts: Note (it comes with a power adapter, which is a nice option in case you run out of power for external harddrives or the like) but I haven't had to use mine, plugging in about 3-4 usb items max at a time.
Also, if you go to sleep next to your computer, you might not want it (or just put a tshirt over it/unplug) it stays on as long as it's plugged in to your pc/laptop).
P.S. Likely great for showing off at a lan party next to (or inside of) your leet gaming rig. (Additional attractive lighting for your pc not included).

ugly
Pros: it dose its job ish
Cons: the power cable is to short like a lil over a foot its a joke cant even reach the floor from the edg of me desk ant center led blinks and is extreamly anoying i covered it with black tap lol the lights would be fine if they were all 1 collar of choice
Other Thoughts: usb hubs in genril have 1 big defect you can only plug in low trafic devices like a keyboard usb powered mouse pads a mouse but if you put say a web cam and a flash drive they go painfully slow because even thou it powers more devices all the info has to pass throu 1 usb port creating a bottle neck

Decent product
Pros: High speed, works well. Haven't had any real issues with it.
Cons: Plastic is cheap and will break easy. Flashing lights of different colors won't turn off, so if you are sleeping in the room it can annoy. I usually cover it up with paper.
Other Thoughts: The lights are kind of cool though, just depends on what you are looking for.

Cheap but get's the job done!!!
Pros: Great price for a 7 port hub. A lot smaller than I gathered from the pictures. Cool lights! Also great that it's powered.
Cons: The USB connection from the HUB is a little finicky. A little touch disconnects the HUB and then I have to reseat the connector. You get what you pay for.

Works great.
Pros: Works very well. I think the external power supply enhances the usb experience. Great price.
Cons: Flashy lights are high on the "cheese" factor.
Other Thoughts: For looking as silly as it does, it works extremely well. I think one could probably cover the lights somewhat with black electrical tape (though I don't know if this would make it heat up too much).

SABRENT SBT-UHPA 7port USB hub
Pros: nice bright lights, if that is what you are looking for - each port has a different colored led.
Cons: devices connected to this hub disappear after (long) periods of inactivity. I have an external Maxtor hard drive connected to it. When I get up in the morning, my computer has lost connectivity with the ext. hard disk. Very irritating. Re-power the hub & devices are recognized again.

Solid
Pros: My kids love the lights
Cons: Not always in stock
Other Thoughts: Vertical ports would be more roomy, though the device would be thicker.

Pros: pretty blue box
Cons: Not enough power. annoying LEDs.
Other Thoughts: This thing is a piece of junk, and is being described here incorrectly. I've mentioned it to newegg a few times, a couple weeks ago. they haven't corrected it yet. don't buy this.

Piece of junk!
Pros: In theory, 7 ports and external power supply. However, the power supply doesn't provide enough power, making the 7 ports not work if you actually try to use them.
Cons: UGLY. 8 super-bright LEDs, with one of them constantly flashing. The other 7 do nothing (NOT status indicators). Very annoying, and impossible to use if its in your bedroom. Doesn't work half the time. Even with power supply, it doesn't have enough power. 7 ports = 3A power requirement, yet its only able to provide 1.5A. Half my devices wont work due to no power.
Other Thoughts: Is everyone reviewing the same product? Mine has a TINY power supply (the size of one of those mini-candy bars), has 7 ports, and is a piece of junk. Other people talk about huge power supply, 4 ports, and how great this is.

Great Product
Pros: Easy to install. USB cord about 4 ft long. In-use indicator lights with each hub outlet. No problems using with scanner, printer and digital cam. Easy connect and secure fitting outlets and plugs. Great price, great quality.
Cons: The DC power supply is about 2-1/2" w x 3-1/2"w. A little bulky, but I turned the tail up and it doesn't interfere with the plug below.
Other Thoughts: I read the reviews before I ordered and that helped me decide on the unit. I would buy another if I ever need additional USB ports

Good, good
Pros: Small, inexpensive, sturdy, unobtrusive. Had it for almost a year, have had no problems, recommend buying if you're looking for a USB hub.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: Its power adapter is humongous. It is almost as big as the USB hub itself, and definitely heavier… in the end, it gets the job done.

for my carpc
Pros: works great, have it hooked to a 15 foot usb extension in my car for my carputer
Cons: none here
Other Thoughts: A usb hub isn't anything complicated. However some don't work very good. This one is a good one. Power adapter is 6V, but it works with 5V without any problems (I have to use 5V in my car).

Works great for me
Pros: Everything works great - had to buy USB 2.0 card for my Asus A7V because it did not have 2.0. Works great and I have my KB, Mouse and game pad hooked into it. No issues at all ever.
Cons: The power supply block is very large, but I dont care because I have the outlets for it.
Other Thoughts: I dont care for the blue, but that is preference only. Seems built just fine for me.

Compact & Cute
Pros: Great price. Fits unobtrusively below my LCD monitor. Wife says “It’s CUTE”
Cons: Should have gotten one long ago.
Power brick is much larger than for my SCSI scanner!

Pros: It's nice and works as intended. I tested it out on three computers, two desktops and one laptop. I bought it to be used on a IBM Thinkpad T20 which only has 1 USB port and its a 1.1. This USB hub works great, I was able to connect an external hard drive, a wireless mouse and a Flash drive at the same time. EXCELLENT!
Cons: Huge transformer (power supply)

Great - Works well for my intended use
Pros: This is my 4 player gaming adapter for PC! detects ALL controllers including the Nyko Airflo EX PC Gamepad. Just be sure you use the power adapter if your connecting 4 Nyko Air Flos. Works well for all my friends who come over and bring over their gamepads to play NHL 06. Who said multiplayer sports games on the same machine was just for console s anymore!
Cons: None really
Other Thoughts: It might be cheap and all , but it works for what it does , and without it , I would have a sore back all the time from having to unplug the gamepads from the back of my computer.

Perfect
Pros: Just plugged it in and it powered all of my USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices without any problems. Used it with internal, external, front mounted, rear mounted USB ports on the PC and with mice, keyboards, game pads, iPods and external DVDRW and hard drives. Works perfectly.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Self powered, so you don't have to worry about power consumption.
