Horrible Product
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Bought it off here, got it sent in today. Went to hook it up so I can use my 360 and my PC on my PC monitor, but it doesn't work AT ALL. I am very disappointed. I connected everything correctly, but my monitor won't turn on when it is hooked up through the switch box, but when I hook my monitor directly to the back of my PC my monitor turns on. I hook up everything correctly but the little lights next to the buttons on the switch box don't even turn on...I think this switch box is totally dead and I am very mad since I just got it in the mail today and it didn't work right off the rip.
Other Thoughts: I recommend people not to buy this product, but maybe mine was the only failure...

Solid Unit
Pros: I've used this little KVM switch for just over a year. It died today after many computers being swapped in and out. I believe a power surge may have done it in...but it was great for what I needed it for, and for the price.
Cons: Wished it would've lived a bit longer...
Other Thoughts: I can't really give it more than 3/5 because of the lack of longevity, but I am not an "average" user. For anyone who'll have it plugged into to machines and not swap them out daily, I'd recommend this one...especially for the sale I got it for at Radio Shack (I think it was $10).

Works great
Pros: Comes with all the cable nessary and the cables are really great quailty
Cons: I would prefer a bigger switch with more ports and USB, but you get what you pay for.
Other Thoughts: It works very well and seems well put together

Pros: Nice little package. Great buy. Picked up at Rat Shack for dirt cheap.
Cons: Mouse doesn't work with Dell Lattitude docking station as listed in review below. PC is fine. Using Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. Im not using it to switch my LCD monitor as my Samsung LCD has 2 inputs DVI and VGA. Keyboard seems to work okay but not fully tested. Mouse is totally unresponsive. Tried connection of logitech receiver right to docking station and both keyboard and mouse worked so definitely the Trendnet causing the problem. Looks like i need to use seperate USB mouse to docking station for laptop and can only share keyboard.
Other Thoughts: Trendnet should be more specific on what hardware this device does and doesnt work with.

DOA
Pros: Small and cheap to do basic functions. Does not require external power.
Cons: It was DOA. Tried it on several machines, nothing worked.

it works
Pros: Low cost Simple to use
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: It's a nice, simple, PS/2 KVM switch. I use it to share a monitor between a computer in my office at work and my Xbox 360 (when you're working 12hr shifts 7/0 for 6 months straight, you'd do the same thing). Haven't had issues yet, but time will tell how it survives in a combat environment.

good product
Pros: Its cheap, and it works.
Cons: ~ 1 second delay in switching between PC's... although it doesn't really both me much.
Other Thoughts: Watch how you hook up the cables, its doesn't go how you would think on first glance...read the manual.

Great for the price
Pros: It's cheap, does what it needs to do.
Cons: It dosen't work with the old IBM keyboard I have.
Ugly as sin.
Other Thoughts: I don't think the problem with the keyboard is the switches fault, this keyboard dosen't work with the other switch I had, so its probably busted, unfortunately, I have no other PS/2 keyboards. Mouse seems to work fine.

Pros: The switch seems to work fine with a standard keyboard. The switching hotkeys are a nice feature. It was relatively inexpensive.
Cons: The switch doesn't work properly with my old Gateway Anykey programmable keyboard. After a few minutes of operation, some of the keys are ramdomly 'remapped.' Also, the switch seems to have slowed the mouse cursor. Even with the speed set to max in Control Panel, it's still a bit too slow for my taste.
Other Thoughts: I realize that there aren't too many Anykeys still in use out there, so this won't be an issue for most.

Working really well - without a wireless logitech keyboard and mouse
Pros: Works really well. Cheap and very effective.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Iniitially I had issues where by taking a laptop out of standby would loose all connectivity with my kb and mouse.
Some times only a forced reboot of my laptop would allow my to use by keyboard and mouse.
This I believe was down to the logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. Recently I bought a Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 kb and mouse ....none of the previous problems have surfaced since. It I had of known to do this a year ago :-) So I put the blame on the Logitech wireless mouse and kb.
On another note - this was the first time I had any such issues with Logitech hw.

Great Switch for price
Pros: Price, reliability, easy to use. I've owned two for over a year and they both work as advertised.
Cons: Doesn't have USB ports for USB keyboard/mouse, only has PS/2 inputs. I wouldn't expect it to at this price, but it would be nice.

Won't work with docking stations
Pros: This KVM switch works okay with 2 desktop computers, but had to use a 'native' PS/2 mouse, not a USB mouse with a PS/2 adapter.
Cons: Would not work with an HP 6910p laptop in a docking station or a Dell Latitude laptop in a docking station. Keyboard sort of works with the docking stations as long as a mouse is not used, but NumLock and Capslock LEDs do not light up (even though they are engaged). Mouse wouldn't work at all: a loud beeping sound came from the laptop every time the mouse was moved. I had to use 2 mice, directly plugged into the docking stations.
Other Thoughts: After a long chat with TrendNet's phone support, I was told that this KVM switch would not work with docking stations, and that they could not guarantee that any TrendNet KVM switches would work with any docking stations.

Does what it says
Pros: As the title says, it does what I ask of it.
No degradation in quality on my screen (1280x1024 LCD, GeForce 6200 AGP) in Windows or Linux.
My keyboard and mouse work just as before through a USB-PS/2 adapter.
Buttons on the device itself for switching (big plus for me as there is no Scroll Lock on my keyboard), as well as hotkey switching.
Price.
Cons: It would be a little more handy if all the cables were in the back or there were some mounting holes to attach it to my wall or desk. But I knew what it looked like before I bought it, so I can't take points off for that.
Other Thoughts: I thought it may have been a little fuzzy on the PC2 side, but I was working on an abused PC with generic Windows drivers, so I gave the benefit of the doubt.
Even if it was the device's fault, I won't need much on the PC2 connection anyway as I bought this to quickly plug in broken/infected PCs to work on without having to disconnect any devices from my own PC.
I can't comment on the hotkey switching features, as I don't have a scroll lock key on my keyboard, and therefore don't use it.

Mac & Windows - no problem
Pros: It worked right out of the box with my PowerMac G5 (OS 10.5.6) and Dell Dimension 8100 (Windows XP). My keyboard is a Logitech "diNovo keyboard Mac edition", which is wireless. A small USB stick plugs into the KVM keyboard port. Everything works great. I was a little concerned that since this keyboard is a Mac specific layout, it might not work well, especially with the Windows machine, but everything seems to be good. No need to load anything off the enclosed CD. I'm not even sure what is on it. Didn't need to read the quick start booklet. Switching is fast with the buttons and the small KVM unit sits nicely on my desk. It is certainly less obtrusive than the two sets of keyboards and mice I used to have!
Cons: I had to adjust the "speed" of scrolling and pointer movements on both machines, but that is certainly no big deal. I could notice a difference in the overall feel of the mouse movement, but I am confident I will get used to it.
Other Thoughts: I should point out that I don't switch the display with it, because I am using 2 monitors. Each monitor has two inputs and both are permanently connected to the two computers. A button on each monitor quickly switches them both - providing extended desktop mode on both the PC and Mac. I bought this KVM switch based on the reviews I read here. That and the price. I have no regrets whatsoever. I mean, $20 for the exact feature-set I was looking for? Sweet. I am so glad I found these reviews, because I was about to pay $60 for an IOgear that would have done the same thing. Get one!

Works for me!
Pros: Works as it is supposed to. I got this for when I have a customer bring a tower to me, so it works solo. I hooked up a laptop with mouse and video only, works. I don't see any reason to think they won't work when I have a tower I can plug them all into at once. As long as this stands the test of time, it's a good buy for me! Got mine at Shady-o Rack on sale for $15
Cons: Needs some holes in the bottom so I could mount it to the side of the desk if I wanted. Audio sharing would be nice.
Other Thoughts: To the folks who claim to have high tech understanding, and are complaining about cable length... Try putting the cables on the right direction! The D-sub connector with the PS2 cables hanging from it goes to the PC, not the hub! The solo end goes to the hub. If your monitor plug is more than 18" away from the PS2 ports, that's one massive PC!

Works great!
Pros: Works as advertised.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I bought the 205 model instead of the 207. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that uses single a USB receiver for both. This way I just use the front USB ports on the computer I am using. Works just as good as plugging it into the 207 switch. In my case, easier to see too!!

Outstanding Value
Pros: Does the job.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Using on my two old boxes AMD 1700+ and Compaq P3 running WinXPsp3 and Ubuntu 6 with ATI and on-board vid, respectively. 17" CRT 1280x1024. Generic PS2 KB. Logitech USB mouse w/PS2 adapter. No probs with any of it; switches back and forth seamlessly.

Proper VGA Extension cable required
Pros: Small package, easy to setup and use, good price
Cons: 1. LCD 17" video display resolution slightly degraded 2. cables too short --- need 6 or 10 foot selection to preclude purchasing two vga cable extenders 3. Trendnet failed to give notice that a VGA cable extension (6 or 10 footer) must have all 15 pins wired (3C-7) to allow 5vdc on pin 9 to power device! Most retail stores do not carry this fully wired cable --- either in standard or extender form! Most cable specs do not disclose correctly the pin wiring configuration! Many DOAs may be attributed to this flaw. 4. Adding a cable extender may introduce noticeable 120hz hum bars causing "wavy" display on monitor
Other Thoughts: Device works well on low-end Vista media server with Logitech Media keyboard and Keytronic opitical mouse with slight degrade in display quality. However, on gaming system display has most noticable hum black bar and video smearing at lcd monitor display resolution of 1024 x 768.

Pros: Inexpensive. No color shifting, blurring, or noise - it does exactly what it claims to. Easy hookup.
Low cost + good functionality = a good value.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: The switch is powered via the connection cables, from the keyboard and/or mouse ports of the computers it is connected to. The switch may not show an indicator light if both computers are turned off.

Good Product
Pros: I've been using this KVM at my home for more than a year. It has not shown any problems in this harsh environment. Harsh environment you ask? We have two cats that are inside and outside cats. As such, these mousers eat all kinds of things and have a nasty tendency to throw-up what they cannot digest onto this poor KVM. They also like to lay on it. Their fur is full of all kinds of junk when they come in from outdoors and as such, a lot of it is shed into this KVM. Move the KVM you say, I have, the cats seek it out to barf, shed, yack up and clean themselves on top of it. The KVM still works wonderfully.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: We also use TRENDnet 4port KVMs at our shop. We abuse these too. In the 5 years we've been in the repair business, only one KVM has failed. Trendnet make great products. NEWEGG is Great

DOA
Pros: None
Cons: DEAD. If it did work, I was still disappointed in how short the keyboard and mouse cables were going into the computer.
Other Thoughts: I was going to place this switch somewhere close to the front of the desk to toggle computers, however the ps/2 cables includeded were way too short and wouldn't reach. I'd have to crawl back to switch it anyways, which is what I was trying to avoid by buying it. Ironically the VGA cables provided were twice as long and would have worked just fine, obviously this product was not Q/A'd. It's a non-issue as the product was DOA and I paid to have it shipped back.

well it gets job done
Pros: price, it works (at least in my situation)
Cons: no hot keys, decreased video quality.
Other Thoughts: At first i bought this in early 2007 because it's cheap, it worked great, except that the monitor image blurred a little bit on the monitor that's being shared by the 2 computers. another thing is that after awhile i did get tired of having to push the buttons on the kvm to switch signals from computers.

better switches out there
Pros: Great heavy duty cables. When it works, the display is very good.
Cons: It's picky about which MB it connects up to. Some computers will connect & switch with no problems, other computers it will not recognize at all. Even with restarts on both computers and fiddeling around- no luck. My personnal failure rate was about 30%, but many of the systems I work on are >4yo, for family members.
Other Thoughts: I thought this was just something to deal with as far as KVM switches were concerned. Then on a whim I thought I would get the IOGEAR GCS62 from BB (figured I could take it back if it were no better. This is 100X better- if I would have known I would have bought it from newegg and saved some$$. This thing connects up to anything I throw at it. It even worked with a Dell that had no ps2 ports using one of those Y adapters usb to 2 x ps2 ports. I was amazed

comp+Xbox360
Pros: it makes live so much easyer to just hit a switch and use just one montor for both xbox and my comp.
Cons: some times my montor will not sinc up and i have to switch back and forth to get it to work(this is a prob with my montor i think)
Other Thoughts: i seen someone eles say that had to have both there comp and xbox turned on to get this to work and i had the same prob untill i plucged in the kayboard and mouse wires into the comp (i dont use the k/m on this device sine i'm all usb and this is not) seem that is where it gerts the power to run :)

Works great
Pros: Been using for two years and no problems. Definitely makes building new systems easier (no more pulling out the box and switching cable saround only to find there were drivers on the old box I needed for the new box).
Cons: NONE

Great Switches
Pros: Allow you to run 2 computers with a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. Also allows the mouse and keyboard to be hot swappable if need be.
Cons: Doesn't work properly on some older machines (5 years or older).
Other Thoughts: I use 2 of them on workbenches in my repair shop and I am ordering 2 more. They work great. I would say they have worked on 97% or the computers I have tried. Can't beat them for the price.

Pros: I bought this product so I could use my Xbox 360 and Computer on the same monitor. But after hookup I found out that both My Computer and Xbox 360 both have to be turned on to get any picture/power to the monitor.
Cons: Both "Computers" have to be on to get a monitor picture.
Other Thoughts: Didn't test KB/Mouse support.

STAY AWAY!
Pros: It's cheap, as in inexpensive. Includes good-quality 3-in-1 cables.
Cons: It seems very picky about which computers it is compatible with. Tried with three sets of PC's (six machines total). On 4 of them, it was totally non-functional. The last set would work (mostly) for a few hours before locking up. Now I'm out over $15 shipping (both ways), to try out a $19 KVM.
Spend a couple dollars more and get a different manufacturers product.

Worked for 8 months
Pros: Cheap. Simple concept.
Cons: Cheap. Mouse stopped responding after about 8 months of use. Keyboard and monitor OK.
Other Thoughts: Worked great for about 8 months, and then mouse began acting erratically, occasionally freezing and requiring a system reboot. Should've spent a bit more and bought a quality item.

Works | 360<->PC
Pros: Lets me easily switch between my Xbox 360 and monitor.
Cons: Poor display(fuzzy text). Depending how you are this could be a major or minor annoyance. I'm still undecided at this point.
Other Thoughts: I have two ViewSonic 20" monitors(VX2035wm) running 1680x1050 res. I'm using the KVM on the right monitor and if you pull up a text page it's easy to tell the difference. The non-kvm monitor displays sharp text while the kvm monitor is fuzzy.

Beware
Pros: This unit worked for me for 2 years and 3 months.
Cons: Now my computer lcd screen is showing some waves going from top to bottom and sometimes from bottom to top. I guess they did they research and figured that it would only work for 2 years, hence the warranty. Unfortunately for me, I had to go out and buy another brand.

Worked fine for a while
Pros: Cheap kvm, simple/clean cables & ok hotkeys
Cons: Seems to have flaked out ofter a few months. Mouse randomly zooms off the screen. Have to reset KVM each time.
Other Thoughts: Checking with trendnet to see if it might be defective in some form.

Cheap
Pros: Only costs $xx. When it works it works as expected.
Cons: Mouse and keyboard seem to stop responding after a little while. I have to unplug the monitor cables and plug them back in to get it to work. If you have an extra $20 and want to take a chance on this product be my guest. If you need a good kvm don't get this one. I've only tried it on two machines.

More trouble than it was worth!
Pros: Cute package...
Cons: lose fittings, if you bumped it the mouse and keyboard would no longer work. Tried to tape it in place, but that rarely worked. Returned it to Newegg for a new one (great service as usual!) and it was no better.
Other Thoughts: I would not waste my money on this if I was you. I would love to find one that works, but this is not it!

Pros: Video and keyboard work great, buttons work great, also supports my high monitor resolution
Cons: Mouse skips all over the place... I don't understand why, I have a really basic 5 button PS2 mouse... I have to move it nice and slow else it will skip to who knows where. Also, it seems to "hit" random buttons... such as the mouse buttons 4 and 5. Seems to scroll randomly too.
Other Thoughts: Other than the mouse sucking, it works great.

Not Too Good
Pros: It sorta works.
Cons: It doesn't fully do what it's supposed to.
Other Thoughts: This device doesn't work too well for me. I hooked it up to the 2 PC's in question and it worked fine for the one, but the mouse would not work for the other. So now, I have to keep using two separate mice for the computers instead of being able to use one for both. Also, in order to get the keyboard to work on that same machine, I have to first connect the keyboard directly to the PC, let it boot, and then move the keyboard connection over to this KVM switch :(
For what it's worth, the machine that it doesn't like is an Intel Core2 Duo on an Asus motherboard.

It's cheap and it works flawlessly
Pros: Unlike many kvm's I've played with, this one has NEVER made the mouse or keyboard go wonky on me when switching computers.

It does what it's supposed to do.
Pros: Works great. Hotkey switching, or push button. Indicator on the box to show which one you are using. Easy to hook up.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Using a wireless USB mouse with a PS2 adapter, and it works fine. USB keyboard works as well. I need two separate monitors for what i'm doing, so I didn't hook them up to the KVM, but it works great for the keyboard and mouse. I would buy again, and probably will in the near future for my other systems...

Excellent!
Pros: Why didn't I get this thing years ago? It aint rocket science, but it does make life a lot easier (and my desk at work a lot less cluttered). Hot key works like a champ.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I use only the mouse and keyboard functions and kept my 2 flat panel monitors on the desk. Very good arrangement.

Pretty good
Pros: Nice unit, especially for the price. Works reliably as KM (I don't use the M b/c I switch between DVI and D-SUB via monitor). Never had any issues switching while fully booted.
Cons: If you switch right as one machine is booting into windows, it can lose track on that machine. Has only happened twice and easy to avoid if you just wait 30 seconds for machine to boot.

Works better than most
Pros: Cheap, and easy to control.
Cons: It cases jittering in game play (Counter Strike Source). Logitech SetPoint software does not recognize my MX 3100 keyboard and laser mouse. The special buttons on the keyboard, like volume control, still work though.
Other Thoughts: This KVM is better than most I've tried (and I tried quite a few).

Pros: Great little switch.
Cons: Little beep when changing, but not that annoying that I would give it a four
Other Thoughts: Has made life so much easier working on friends computers I no longer have to move cables from mine to theirs to troubleshoot. I can download drivers they are missing and then just switch back to theirs to install. Sweeet

Excellent little KVM
Pros: Small, no random switching mode Cable connections placed nicely
Cons: No sound? but I dont need that
Other Thoughts: For about a year I had been using a BELKIN KVM switch for my 2 PC's. It has this feature(That you cannot disable) where it'll randomly switch to a differnt PC based on some sort of signal it would receive from the cables. This feature was a nightmare for me. For no reason at all it would switch to another PC and when i would try to switch back, I'd need to wait for it to time out and switch.. at which point it would switch over and automatically switch back againm, until I unplugged ALL cables from BOTH PC's and rebooted. The Belkin cost me $xx+ and the TRENDNet cost me $xx.. and so far it's working GREAT! You don't always get what you pay for

Pros: I have a manual KVM that NEVER worked with the mouse or the key [it was fine for the monitor]. This one worked well out of the box. Reading the manual was only required to find the hotkey sequence. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat!
Cons: None so far.

BAh
Pros: none for me
Cons: I received this yesterday and installed it. It seems that i got a defective one or something. because its wasnt working at all for me. and the keyboard and mouse cables were too short for me. They assumed my computers were relativley close to each other, but they are not. so this product is useless to me now. If your computers are more than 2/3 feet apart. Then u cant use the ps/2 connections.. Newegg refunded the money naturally. Newegg rocks!

Works perfectly XP&Linux
Pros: Set up: - Rig1: Win XP Sp2, Asus A8V deluxe mobo, Radeon 9550 VGA out - Rig2: Linux Ubuntu 6.06 (kernel 2.6.15), Asrock K7S41, Sis Onboard video - Monitor: Samsung 753DF 17" CRT - Mouse: USB 3 buttons mouse (with USB to PS/2 adapter) - Keyboard: OEM PS/2. On both systems ScrlLock shortcut command works flawlessly. For such a low price ($x.xx) I can just but recommend it.
Cons: One of the LED plastic cover was slightly loose. Just rattles a little when shaked. However, functionnality remains 100% as the LED underneath its cover works fine.
Other Thoughts: This TK-205K has the hardware version V1.1R and the Firmware version A1. Should have bought the TK-208K which has also audio though!!

Look at the image of the cables VERY CLOSELY
Pros: Very inexpensive. Simple operation. Clear video sig.
Cons: Cables are too short. About 4 feet or so. I guess if the computers you intend to share are next to each other it doesnt matter, but mine are not. So it matters. Also, the cables are true KVM on one end and terminal on the other. In short, if you want to put longer cables on it, you're going to need to do it on the computer side, not the switch side.
Other Thoughts: They got cheap, and saved the cost of the cabling for the keyboard and mouse by piping it through the d-sub connector of the monitor. This is all well and good unless you need a longer reach. A simple monitor extension cable won't cut it. You'll need ps2 extemsions as well.

Very very nice little box!
Pros: Simple to hookup, nice lights for switching status and very inexpensive. Have a dual boot linux/billgates pc hooked up to a dedicated windows, no problem with either box.
Cons: none-can anyone help me with the cables and wires that are slowing taking over my life and giving me bad dreams?

Pros: Great product right out of the box. Just hook it up and it worked. It is very convenient to share keyboard/mouse/monitor between 2 computers at the push of a buttom or with the hotkeys using the keyborad. Another great product and service from NewEgg.

Pros: No ghosting on either display I've had - 15" CRT at 1152x864x32@75Hz, or 17" widescreen LCD at 1280x768. No visual defects, crystal clear images. Perfect for working on computers while gaming after work
Cons: Sometimes gets stuck if a system powers off

Great product, works with Linux
Pros: Fast shipping, very easy setup. Plugin all the cables and you are ready to go. Initially, my Linux box (Ubuntu)'s screen resolution decreased automatically to 640x480. But then I reconfigured and restarted my box and it was fine again at 1280x1024. I am not even sure that the x-reconfigure was required, may be just a simple restart with the Switch selected for the Linux box would have done the job.
Anyway, now everything is up and running and switching is fast. Hotkeys are work under both the operating systems and are simple too. Switching is about <=1 second.
I havent had any problems with characters missing when typing fast or anything like that.
Good buy. Would certainly reccommend it
Cons: None so far.

Good Buy
Pros: Not much to say about it but it works fine.
Cons: Look closely at the image of the front. there is a small rubber oval cover where the mouse and keyboard pass through before entering the device. This rubber cover is just a sticker. The holes on this cover are a bit too small. The mouse and keyboard do easily fit into the device, however, if you remove them, the cover always comes off. I just discarded the cover. The device still works fine though.

Absolutely worthless
Pros: Can't think of any good things to say about this KVM.
I have had a IOGEAR GCS612A & a Zonet KVM3004 for years. The IOGear locked up about once or twice a year. The Zonet has been on our servers for 2+ years with absolutely no flaws at all.
Cons: Ordered 2, one gave me trouble right out of the box, never did recognize my my mouse and only recognized the keyboard 1/2 the time. Rebooted both PCs several times, swapped out keyboards and mice and even tried a different pair of PCs, never did work. The 2nd one worked on co-worker's PCs for a few hours and locked up the keyboard & mouse once, rebooted both PCs and worked again. Within 2 days 2nd KVM was locking up 5-10 times a day. Did an RMA on the 1st one the day it arrived, replacement was useless also. We're computer geeks, so I feel if we couldn't get it to work, it's pretty much dead.
Other Thoughts: The only bright spot in the whole experience was the RMA staff at Newegg. We told Steve what the problem was, what we had done to get it to work. Steve was glad to send a replacement for the first one. After the 2nd one and the replacement for the 1st one both turned out to be junk Steve gladly issued a full refund.
I've only ordered from Newegg twice, but they are definitely number one in my book. I know that if I have a problem with an order, they'll do what it takes to make it right.

Works Great
Pros: Works just as i had hoped.
Cons: Slight text bluring. nothing crazy, just enough to notice.
Other Thoughts: This being my first KVM i was a little confused as to how to use it. The Cables look like standard monitor cables. but you have to use the end with the Kbrd and Mouse end at the computer, else it does not work.

KVM Switch

Cool
Pros: small, comes with cables needed, cheap, works great with an Xbox 360
Cons: fonts will become a little foggier, weird color
Other Thoughts: This product work fine, i havent had any problems other than the fact that fonts become a little less clear. I am currently using it wil my pc and xbox and havent had any problems. I reocmend this if you need one. I chose this one because it had the most reviews :P

Doesn't Accept All Kbds, Mice
Pros: Works like a champ. Easy to set up.
Cons: Recessed PS/2 sockets.
Other Thoughts: The recessed PS/2 sockets make it hard to fit keyboard and mouse cables. You must have small diameter plugs to get it to fit. If it wasn't for that, I would have given this unit a five.

kvm switch
Pros: Easy to setup and use. Nice overall design.
Cons: Major problem as stated with other reviews: optical mouse and natural keyboard ps2 connections fell out of ports. Logitec keyboard ps2 connection fits tight. Able to use 1 monitor for 2 systems, still have to use 2 keyboards and 2 mice.
Other Thoughts: May try and trim plastic on ps2 connectors to get them to stay.

Good KVM
Pros: Always works, no noticeable lag, even if gaming with it. Looks really nice, good price and cables were attached when I bought mine in Feb. 2005.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I would look into getting a KVM that also has USB. It simplifies things even more. But this brand is awesome and will buy more from Trendnet if needed.

Good little switch
Pros: small, very few cables, can switch from keyboard or switch, activly searches for PCs (I swap PCs a lot out of the second port, no issues)
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: for a little of $16 after shipping and rebate, its not really worth paying more for a name brand

Does the job, Makes life easy
Pros: all in one package easy to use easy to setup nice long cables
Cons: Makes a noise when you switch over
Other Thoughts: This thing saves so much time when building new computers and testing them. Also very handy to use with work laptop.
The one newegg has on here now must be a newer version of the one I have, since mine only has one button on it while the one shown is 2 buttons.

2 in a row DOA
Pros: Hard to say since I've never seen one actually work at all.
Cons: The cables are just stupid. The video cable is 46", but the kb & mouse cables are 18". The holes for the mouse & keyboard connections are too small for some PS2 plugs, and you'd better be sure it works before you void the warranty by drilling them out.
Other Thoughts: My first switch was DOA. Newegg's page says to contact the manufacturer, so I tried. As near as I can tell, the only thing working at Trendnet is "no one is available..." recordings. Newegg agreed to RMA it (thanks!), and I received the 2nd unit. It was dead too! I then spent a week trying to talk to someone at Trendnet who finally verified that it was indeed broken & I could pay to ship it back to them. I requested a refund from Newegg but by this point it was 30 days after my original order. They did at least give me a partial credit towards purchasing a different brand.
I'd recommend you NOT buy this or anything else from Trendnet. I know I'll never make that mistake again.

Good price
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to use
Cons: The molded plasic around the ps2 cables is almost too tight of a fit to get your plugs into.
Other Thoughts: No usb ports or adapters for mice or keyboards

Pros: quick swicth screen time. small enough to fit on the desk without making it look cluttered.
Cons: thought this was a hotkey switch too, but do not see anyway to set this up if it is.

Its quite horrible
Pros: Well it switches fairly quick between my systems.
Cons: The most awful thing about this is, it refuses to recognize my keyboard/mouse when I reboot my DELL workstation. This never happened with the D-link switch I had before. Their tech support was also pretty useless, since they had no idea of what to do & now I am stuck :(

Great deal
Pros: Very good for the price. Small.
Cons: I don't like the way the cables have to be connected but I can deal with that.

Funky package
Pros: Works well: push-botton or ScrollLock hotkey operation
Cons: The fluffy rounded packaging makes it difficult to plug some things into the PS/2 ports.. namely USB->PS/2 adapters.

no go with laptop
Pros: Small device with integrated cables. Good price.
Cons: Lacking its own powersupply, it is impossible to use the device to simply share a monitor, without also setting up the actual keyboard and mouse share. Since I needed to share a monitor with two modern laptops - which do not have keyboard and/or PS2 mouse jacks - it did not work for me at all. The device itself is very small, so it is a little hard to place it solidly since the weight of all the cabling moves it around at will.
Other Thoughts: If you have two PCs - this is a great little thingie, but anything more complex than that is a no-go.

NEWEGG 10 - TRENDnet 0
Pros: It got here, nice looking unit, mine was DOA so I cannot comment on it too much for the "pro's". But everyone get a bad egg sometimes ( no pun intended - NEWEGG ROCKS ). I gave it 2eggs because if it did work it would be a nice looking unit. NEWEGG is THE best place for ALL of you computer needs.
Cons: DOA DOA DOA The cables are kind of short also, video connection is "about" three foot whereas the PS2's are "about" two foot why were they made dfferent lenghts? they are going to the same machine? I could see a difference of a few inches but this much shorter is a problem. Cannot comment on the functionality of this switch because it was DOA hope the other info helps.
Other Thoughts: TRENDnet support is nonexistent nobody would even answer the phone-- USELESS! Just thought you might want to know that in advance.
Hats off to NEWEGG though, called them about this and customer service worked with me to replace it immediately. Don't let my review discourage you from this product, when it is made by civilians you are bound to get a bad one now and then, **it happens.
NEWEGG is absolutely the BEST company to deal with, great service, super fast shipping, & great products at great prices.

Pros: Hot key switching. Seems like it would be solid if it wasn't defective
Cons: One of the channels was ghosting the video. Nearly impossible to get a tight connection with the PS2 plugs without damaging the kvm.
Other Thoughts: If it dosn't work you have to go through the manufacturer to get a new one.
