Exceptional Value
Pros: Power Supply works great.... has plenty of power connectors for everything in modest gaming machines to more advanced ... Easy to install and very Quiet... Sons front on/off button has had some issues so system has just been left on for 1 1/2 months now with no problems at all...
Cons: Other than rebate no where to be seen yet, none with power supply

Impressive!
Pros: First thing that I noticed when unboxing this PSU -- outstanding quality. Looks good, feels good, runs good. Exactly what I wanted out of a lower power PSU.
Cons: N/A

Just Great, Man
Pros: About three months after I bought this power supply, my house was struck by lightning. You know how they say that you should turn your computer off during a thunderstorm? Yeah, they say that for a reason. My computer was fried. It wouldn't even turn on. I ended up replacing this power supply with an Antec, thinking it was the PS that was blown. Nope. The motherboard was the unfortunate corpse. I threw the Thermaltake in a bin because I didn't know if it was damaged or not. Fast forward to a few months ago when a friend needed an interim power supply in short order. I told him of the risks, but he still offered to test my derelict Thermaltake. Turns out it worked. I recently rebuilt my main computer and decided to put the Thermaltake back in, as it was basically a superior PS to the replacement (more SATA power connectors). Also the cable sleevings are quite attractive. The point of this rambling tale is that this power supply is reliable and resilient. Give this guy a chance.
Cons: Only the personal shame that comes from not testing it sooner.
Other Thoughts: This power supply bore the full brunt of Zeus' wrath and emerged unscathed. That speaks for itself.

Only 2 (basically 1) SATA
Pros: It works
Cons: As stated this units only come with 2 sata connectors, which is all I needed. The problem is, they are only 3" apart on the same cable.. so in almost all cases, you can't connect a SATA DV Drive and a SATA hard disk. So now I either have to replace the PS or purchase an IDE DVD drive.

it works
Pros: slapped this in an old A64 3000+ system that i pieced together for a friend and its done its job.
Cons: none, these cheap TT PSU's are pretty good for what i use them for.

Upgraded from stock 300W PSU
Pros: I have a stock Gateway w. Quad Phenom IIs. The stock PSU was 300W. I was looking to upgrade the components so I read the reviews which were overall positive. The price was good and decided to upgraded to this PSU. Thanks to the more technical reviews about the rails which was beneficial to know. Also liked the 2nd fan which cools my case and runs very quiet. Overall a good purchase for a quality item. We'll see how the rebate goes. Can't beat free shipping. Installation was a breeze. Also liked the fact that all the cables were wrapped in cover.
Cons: None.

Silent and reliable
Pros: Stealthy quiet. Extremely reliable PS that maintains its cool. Fans do an excellent job at keeping the PS well within operating temperatures, as well as helping out the case vent some heat too!
Cons: Not a whole lot of expansion capabilities, but if you are looking for a PS to replace a dead OEM unit or are doing a build and need to save some $$$ without skimping on quality or reliability, then this is the one!!!
Other Thoughts: First time I used this was in a Gateway tower to help accommodate adding a big graphics card and the OEM supply was only 250w and howled like a beagle. I popped this bad boy in and it has been running for 2 years without issue. Since then, I have used Thermaltake products whenever possible and I have never had to return a single one!

Pros: none : never worked
Cons: bought as a spare .went to use it a month later .never worked .sent for a rma 1-04-2010 .sent it out .they got it 1-14-2010 now it is 1-21-2010 and i just now get my tracking # and it says it will be here on 1-26-2010.WOW what a load.
Other Thoughts: they fought with me tooth and nail over the recipt .i had it thank goodness .even though i regestered it when i sent for a 10 dollar rebait.got the rebait way before i decided to use the power supply.funny thing is .i sent a rma for a ocz 700 watt .a day after i sent this one out .i got my new ocz yesterday .and ocz never wanted to see my recipt..well needless to say .I WILL NEVER BUY THERMALTAKE AGINE.

DO NOT BUY
Pros: 430 watts, sata, 20/24pin mobo connector, 2 fans
Cons: day after i cut the upc code off the box and mailed it in for my rebate i realized the fan that blows air out was not working. and newegg cannot take returns w/o the upc code on the box.
Other Thoughts: SORRY I WASTED the money

Thermaltake TR2 430W
Pros: Stable, all voltages where they should be, 29a total 12v rating. The 2 80mm fans are quiet and cool not only the power supply put your case as well. Very stable, awesome deal.
Cons: Minimal efficiency rating.
Other Thoughts: Core i5 750 4gb DDR3 1tb Hard drive GeForce GT 220 1GB Win 7

Awesome!
Pros: Awesome psu, I purchased this from ebccomputers, it was 46.99 there I didn't have time to order it online. I love this thing it's really quite and when my system is under a full load even for hours I still feel cool air comming out of the back, not warm air but cool air and my system temps are really low I think this thing actually made my temps go down quite a bit. I would for sure recommend this psu to anyone unless you plan to run SLI.
Cons: None what so ever.

So far so good
Pros: Fits in my Cooler Master case better then the original equipment plus the cables are well separated as well as being wrapped by function. There are plenty of connectors which was a complaint that I had with the original Cooler Master
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Good choice for a replacement for one that is getting to be a problem

Don't cheap out on your PSU
Pros: +Very cheap +Still works after 3 years of use. +Thermaltake has a great reputation
Cons: +Not active PFC +Not 80 plus certified +Low efficiency (65% at most loads!!) +Runs hot +Takes 500 watts to generate make just over 300 watts available to my computer. In comparison, my new 80 plus certified thermaltake takes 400 watts to supply the same computer.
Inefficiency = more electricity drawn (bigger bills) = more heat generated = louder fans
Other Thoughts: I used to cheap out on my case and the PSU because I wanted to invest the money in a better video card, CPU, etc.
But really, the PSU is the one place in your build that might SAVE you cash. Go for a unit that is 80 plus certified, you'll save up to 100 watts of power, saving you money in the long run.
I bought this 3 years ago when there were only a handful of active PFC units available and 80 plus certification hadn't taken off yet. You don't have that excuse anymore. Buy something better!

huge!
Pros: price
Cons: It's humongous! I bought this power supply in a shop, not on Newegg, and the box doesn't list the size. Pay close attention to where Newegg says that it's 11"x8"x4" because on my computer if I wanted to use this the options would be having a power supply OR having optical drives!

Amazing quality for the price
Pros: For the price (after rebate) this is a fantastic deal. Fans run quietly and seem to keep the PSU cool enough. Sleeving is nice on all cables. Plenty of SATA power connectors.
Cons: Short on old 4-pin power connectors if you happen to need them.

Why lacking in SATA?!
Pros: Easy Setup Nice looks Connectors galore! Decent power
Cons: Only two SATA Connectors and they're 4 inches apart on the same cable!
Other Thoughts: I installed this in my Gateway DX4200-UB101A and had to drop the Dvd drive down into the next slot and move my hard drive up into the 'floppy' bays and it barely fit and doesnt have any screws holding it in... but i really had to squeeze it in there so i shouldnt have a problem I'm looking into getting a Molex to SATA adapter so I can have this resolved, but other than that its a great product ---System Specs--- Foxconn RS780 Motherboard AMD Phenom X3 2.10 GHz (Tri-core) 6GB DDR2 800-SDRAM ATI Radeon HD 4670 1GB 500 GB Western Digital SATA 2 HDD

Very reliable
Pros: Priced right, very quite. I've had this unit running for over two years non stop now without any concerns or problems. Just bought a second one for a costumers new PC build and no concerns at all other than you'll need to make sure there's enough length in the SATA power cable. It has two connections but with this new build both DVD and HDD using SATA found I needed to purchase a extension cable to reach between the two units. I'll be buying a third unit soon for another build I have planed and recommend this product highly.
Cons: Nothing bad to say at all about this product, just giving all a heads up, make sure if you're using multiple SATA connections that you have enough length (you may need an extension cable) to reach between all the components. The unit has two SATA connectors but not a lot of distance between them.

Silent at a good price
Pros: Looks nice, silent and plenty or room for a day to day use or moderate power server.
Good packing.
If you want quality this is the brand.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Using it to power a Server 2008 at home in side my closet, meaning it's quiet to keep it on my room.

Super quiet
Pros: Remarkably quiet Good expansion Really good value
Cons: Gold plate on fan protection screen looks cheesy
Other Thoughts: This thing is ridiculously quiet. I'm only drawing about 1/2 the rated power right now, but it's quiet even if it had no load. It has a 20/24 pin connector, plus the 8 pin EPS. The wires are wrapped with mesh, cleaning up the install.

Better now that it's been updated.
Pros: Nice looking for the money
Cable shielding looks cool.
Works well for me thus far.
Cons: Not REALLY a Thermal-Take product, but no big-name budget minded model peice of hardware is (normally).
Somewhat over-inflated wattage rating.
Poor connector layout.
useless cable-shield as they are shorter than actually wiring length.
Other Thoughts: I lack the long-term use of this product to judge the dependability claims in the review on this site for this PSU.
This product was updated and revised, so a great many reviews here are outdated and don't apply to the current product.

overpriced
Pros: well, it hasnt died yet
Cons: i would not have bought this if I knew the rebate was a scam, they never send the rebate, just a couple of emails every month or so saying its arrive, filled out paperwork correctly, etc. etc. its been like 4 months now.

POC
Pros: It came in a box to return it in
Cons: Voltage problems 2 weeks after install reboots no power. RMA back to newegg.
Other Thoughts: Do not buy this POC. NewEgg Rocks they doing the dirty work for Thermaltake. I use to hold Thermaltake in high regard. This the 2nd PS from Thermaltake the 1st lasted 6 months before it smoked.

Pros: Overall a well made PS, dual fans A nice surprise on a lower priced PS.
Cons: More sata and power ribbos would have been nice.... but overall not a big deal for the system I built

Simply THE BEST bang for the buck!
Pros: * Reliable! * PRICE! * Power (wattage) * Cable sleeving * Dual fans * Plenty of power connections for basic computing needs and even some gaming. * Power connectors have clips you can pinch to get them out easier.
Cons: * Not good for full tower cases * Not enough SATA connections - needs more! * MIR? I HATE mail in rebates..just give me the discount/rebate up front * Cables aren't detachable, have to tuck the unused ones away which can be a pain. * Not powerful enough for a high end game rig. * Poor Efficiency?
Other Thoughts: I've bought several of these PSU's over the years, and it's hands down one of THE BEST ones for the money. No no, I take that back: it IS the best PSU for the money. The full cable sleeving takes a good thing and makes it miles better. Cable management inside the case is a breeze with it, and they are usually long enough to reach everything needed inside the case. I can't believe they still make this PSU, it just goes to show you how reliable it has become; people want it! Also, the price really hasn't gone up on it at all, despite the bad economy. Alright, I can go on and on about this PSU, but I won't. I just have 2 words for everyone: GET IT! If you don't need a monster PSU for a gaming rig, and just need one for your wife's (or your kids) computer so she can check her E-mail/Facebook, then GET THIS ONE! You WILL NOT be disappointed. (Unless it comes DOA, but then you can just RMA it and get another one.) GET IT! NOW! What are you waiting for? Christmas? Well, then hurry up!

Pretty nice
Pros: 5 year warranty. All cables have a mesh sleeve for easy routing. 8 pin EPS connector.
Cons: Only 2 SATA power connections which are very close together.
Other Thoughts: I installed this on an Antec 300 case with only a SATA drive and a SATA optical. The two SATA connectors were very close and I had to put the drives right next to each other in their respective bays. Still, this put a strain on both cables which was right next to the ATX power connector. I would suggest buying a Molex to SATA adaptor even when installing two SATA drives.

Great Power Supply For The Money!
Pros: This is a great little power supply. While I would not recommend it for a high-end gaming machine or server, it works great for an average workstation computer. I have purchased at least 20 of these from various vendors over the years, for customer's computer builds, without a single problem or failure. I would recommend this power supply to anyone. Best bang-for-the-buck out there.
Cons: This PSU is made with a bit dated, and inefficient technology now. It has average "expert" test results. The power supply is built by a different manufacturer, and rebadged by Thermaltake (like most products on the market are these days). This is in "reality" only around a 360 watt power supply according to test results. All that being said, it is still a very good power supply.
Other Thoughts: This PSU has been updated over the years. The first few I purchased had a single +12v/18a rail. The latest units have been updated to a daul +12v/15a and +12v/14a rail system. This should make it more stable for higher powered systems.

great budget power supply
Pros: plenty of peripheral plugs, plenty of power for average dualcore systems, dual fans pull air from front of case(doesnt pull hot air directly from cpu like most ps), always recieved mir, sleeved design
Cons: only 2 sata connections, wont power larger video cards
Other Thoughts: I have built 4 systems with this power supply with NO issues and i will continue buying it for future builds, my most recent system: GIGABYTE|GA-MA785GM-US2H, Thermotake 430W TRM-7317, CPU AMD|ATH II X2 240 AM3 2.8G, memory 2Gx2|Corsair xms2, HD 500G|WD SATA2 32M WD5000AADS, DVD BURNER LG | GH22NS50 BK SATA

Very good
Pros: Only using the 24pin and 8 pin for the cpu, a molex for the case fan and one SATA power connector. Lots of spare cables, dual fans, sleeved cords, the Thermaltake name of quality.
Cons: Not 1000w? MIR dissapeared?
Other Thoughts: Did well for a budget build.

Only has 2 SATA connectors...
Pros: It was cheap. Lots of molex connectors.
Cons: Only 2 SATA connector, 2 inches apart on the same cable... I had to move my hdd and DVD rom next to each other to make this possible.
The packaging sucks. Didn't even come with screws. Just a power cord.
Haven't started the machine yet, better not DOA on me.
Other Thoughts: Only buy this if you must.

Pros: Reasonable price, adequate power, nice looking cabling, pretty quiet, does what it should without any hiccups.
Cons: None applicable.

Just one SATA plug?
Pros: Works quietly
Cons: Only one (double) SATA power connector so If you have a SATA hard drive and DVD-rom you have to get a molex to SATA adapter. I know its only a $2 piece but now I have to wait 3 more days to get it so I can use my new computer.

Easy as pie!
Pros: Super easy installation, very quiet (less noise than the factory 250W PSU)
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU since the factory 250W in my HP isnt nearly enough to run a decent Graphics Card...and I didnt need to overkill my system with a ridiculous amount of wattage so I chose this 430W PSU and it works great, runs my PC without any issues! Installation took 10 minutes total, including zip-tieing the wires, and Im very average with computers.

Works well and it lasts
Pros: Had this power supply running a variety of different systems since December 2005 and it hasn't skipped a beat. Not once has it failed to turn on nor has it caused any instability in any of the computers it's powered. Sleeved cables are nice and the two fans run very quietly.
Cons: Wattage rating is inflated, way too many cables (not sure if it could even handle having every plug being used anyway), fans don't have that much airflow (but it's enough). From what I can tell, this is the exact same model that was produced 4+ years ago, so it's an aged design and the power efficiency is poor compared to modern units.
Other Thoughts: Even if you have to spend a bit more, I would go with an 80 PLUS power supply like an Antec EarthWatts. I replaced the Thermaltake with the 380W model and it did use less electricity.

Pros: I bought this a few years ago from a local vendor, and haven't had any problems with it. For about a year, I used it in a P4 rig that was overclocked from 2.4GHz to 3.8GHz (ram and graphics card were overclocked, too), and it ran like a champ.
Quiet, good looking, long fully sleeved cables, good build quality, switch on the back for the mains, etc.
Cons: The only problem I've had with this PSU is with one pin in one of the molex connectors coming loose. That was probably my own fault, though, since I have a tendency to yank on cables to unplug them. The rest of the pins in the molex connectors have held up very well, though.
Other Thoughts: Other than that, I've had two other qualms with this PSU, but they're minor.
-Only two SATA connectors. If you only need two SATA drives, then you're fine. I've had to round up a whole bunch of molex to SATA adapters to power my RAID array.
-Fan layout - There are 2 80mm fans blowing through the PSU, and they cool it rather well. Depending on the layout of your case, though, a 120mm intake fan on the bottom of the PSU may help to dissipate heat from the CPU. This was the case with my layout, and by replacing my old 600w PSU (that had a 120mm intake fan on the bottom) with this Thermaltake TR2, my CPU temps went up by about 1C. Not that big of a deal, though, unless you're doing some serious overclocking.
For a normal workstation, though, this PSU would be great. Very stable, very good quality, very reliable, very good PSU!

Thermaltake delivers another solid product
Pros: Powers all my gear without and crazy colored LED's.
Cons: Both of the SATA power plugs are on the same cable. So if you need to connect a SATA hard drive and a DVD Drive, you may want to pick up a molex to SATA adapter, because otherwise this may not reach both devices.
Other Thoughts: I have never had a Thermaltake power supply die on me, so I trust them with all my builds.

Lousy
Pros: Good while it lasted.
Cons: Went bad after 4 years, 4 days.
Other Thoughts: I bought an older version (same model) of this power supply on 11/19/2006 from newegg. on 11/20/2009 it died with a loud pop. I'm attempting to warranty it. This isn't an isolated incident. I have a friend who bought the same model as me from a different vendor, and his died 6-7 months ago. Don't purchase this power supply, they don't last.
Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer, Please contact ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com for warranty information. Best regards,

Good psu
Pros: Good quality PSU, have used several for builds and no problems.
Cons: Could use another SATA connector since almost all components are SATA these days. You'll need an adapter to connect a SATA DVD drive in addition to one or two hdds.

It Gets the Job Done
Pros: Quality, silent, helps airflow, and great price. This PSU powers a socket 775 Intel P4 2.8 with 1 40 gig SATA Maxtor HD, Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card, 1 USB/Firewire Pci card, and multiple case fans with no hiccups.
Cons: Shipping
Other Thoughts: Great bang for the buck!

Stay Away
Pros: Powered a computer for some period of time.
Cons: I've bought four of these, three for computers at my house, one for a friend. Out of the three at my house, two lasted a year and before they blew out; one of them fried the motherboard. After this happened, it was pretty much impossible frind a socket 939 board so I had to upgrade motherboard, RAM, CPU etc... I bought this PSU because it was cheap and seemed reliable. I will not ask for a replacement even though it has a three year warrenty. It's not worth it.
Other Thoughts: I'm waiting for the third one to blow out.

DOA
Pros: Difficult to say with a DOA.
Cons: This PSU was DOA. When I attempted to power it on for the first time, it produced an extremely unpleasant, high-pitched noise (transformer?), and no power was supplied to the system. Not even the fans on the PSU itself moved. I switched the PSU off, and back on. This time no noise, no power, just totally dead. I really hope the initial "power-on" did not fry my motherboard and/or other components. Big disappointment.

Love it!
Pros: Decent PSU, it's SILENT. Cables have jackets to hold the wires together. I just LOVE the tabs on the molex connectors- all you do to unplug them is squeeze and the plug pops out.
Cons: Cables seemed a bit too long for me, but I have plenty of empty spots in my case to hide them in.
Other Thoughts: Good buy.

Solid for 430W PS
Pros: I bought this PS to go into a Thermaltake Wings 1000RS case, with a GB MA785-US2H mobo. Good power for a system that draws little power from the motherboard and the Sempron CPU.
Cons: The front Audio connection is just two inches too short for the GB MATX motherboard, the SATA cables are too short, I had to connect the SATA DVD burner in the lowest slot and install the 1TB seagate drive in the slot just below the floppy drive.

My third.
Pros: Inexpensive/very affordable reliable power supply. Excellent for budget builds on gaming rigs or entry level case modding. Product is sleeved.
Cons: >65% efficiency...I guess its a power hog, I can't tell. Oh this thing is not modular and comes with an abundent amount of cabling which requires zip-tying the excess in the recess of your optical drive bays...see picture on Newegg Product Illustration.
Other Thoughts: Thermaltake can you improve the efficiency rating or make it modular while maintaining the same price?

Spend a few more bucks and get a better one
Pros: Price
Cons: >clip on 20(24)pin motherboard connector was too wide. This prevented it from wanting to be inserted into socket as it didn't have enough clearance between MB transistors. (Had to cut it down to size) >Peripheral molexs to short . This is not a mega case and I had to buy extensions for it to reach everything.
Other Thoughts: 2- 4 pin molex with 3 plugs tightly grouped together on each line. 1 -sata line with a similar grouping. This is a pretty basic board/setup and this PS was maxed out from the start. I replaced a 300 watt antec that was going out after several years and it was a better PS then this.

Good, BUT....
Pros: Nice unit, very quiet, functioning fine
Cons: Unit has two SATA power plugs, but they are on the same cable, and only about three inches apart! No adapters included to add more either.
Other Thoughts: This unit would have recieved 5 eggs if I didn't have to go buy additional power adapters for my purpose.

Good Power...funky cord layout
Pros: Delievers great power to my new system. I wasn't building a gaming computer, just something my wife could run. This is a good priced power supply for that.
Cons: The Sata (15 pin) connectors were kinda weird. The specs say you only get 2, which is fine, however if you've got an average size case you're going to need to buy an extension cord for one of the 15 pin connectors or get creative with how you store your hard drive. The SATA power supply is on the same cord and you have about 3 inches to work with. To make this work, my DVD drive is in the lowest slot of the case and I had to rig my hard drive in the floppy slot. Another solution would be to just get a 4 pin to 15 pin converter for power. I saw both of them on newegg for less than 2 bucks, but it still sucked trying to get this to work.

Great Supply
Pros: This is the second one of these I've purchased from Newegg. The first one is over 2 years old and is still running very strong. It survived riding in a truck 1000 miles up to New Hampshire, and then it survived a lightning surge that took out a TV and Wii console, but this little guy survived. That's the first one. The second one is a little less than a year old, and it's running great also. Both PSUs are running AMD systems with 2 GB RAM, and ATI PCI-Express x16 graphics cards.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: You can tell the minute you take the box for this from the UPS guy that you've got a quality power supply. This thing has some good weight to it. I used to buy el cheapo power supplies, and after I started replacing them every year, I started buying the good ones. If you buy a 10 dollar PSU and this one, you will notice how much heavier this thing is compared to the cheaper models - even if the cheaper model is rated for higher output. I probably wouldn't try to run an SLI or CrossFire setup with this unit - but any single-video-card system would run great off this supply. As far as I'm concerned, there's only two manufacturers I'd buy a PSU from - Thermaltake, and OCZ. The rest don't hold a candle to these guys. (And remember, it doesn't make sense to buy a $150+ processor chip, $200+ motherboard, and then power it with a cheap PSU.)

Fried after three years of use
Pros: Worked great for three years. Cheap price.
Cons: Only worked for three years. Not modular. No fancy lights. Not enough connectors if you are using a newer system.
Other Thoughts: Something inside the PSU burned up and filled the house with a terrible smell. The computer didn't shut down initially, and I isolated the smell to the PSU. While I was shopping for a new one on Newegg, the whole PC shut down.

Good basic power supply
Pros: I have used this power supply for over 18 months, in a system with a fairly heavy load. Dual fans which are fairly quiet. Cable sleeving makes neat routing and helps with case airflow.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone with a computer that has a stock 200, 250, 300, or even 350 Watt power supply. I used this to upgrade from 250 W to 430W. Great choice!

Still going after at least three years
Pros: Just wanted to jump in here and tell everyone that I have been using this power supply for about a year now without any trouble. Actually, I got it used and the previous owner had it at least two years. So, it's over three years old and still going strong.
No strange noises or funny business. I believe that this is a solid, reliable and inexpensive power supply.
At this moment, there are over 2000 reviews of this item on the 'egg. Pretty amazing.
Cons: Does not use a 120mm fan (but seems to be quiet enough as it is).
Previous comment about the 12v rail amperage is true, be careful about overloading this PSU. I'm probably pushing the limits with the current video card.
Other Thoughts: Don't skimp on your power supply. Don't think that a big number (750 Watts) is the only thing to look for. There's lots of cheezy power supplies that look great on paper, but won't last very long.
I've built dozens of computers and one of my rules is to never spend less than 50 bucks on a power supply. In this case, I would make an exception.
My three year old 430W Thermaltake PSU is currently powering an older gaming system...

BAD CAPACITORS!
Pros: Works until capacitor plague sets in.
Cons: Uses DON and Capxcon capacitors both of which are know brands to suffer from capacitor plague. I used this unit for about a year and then found a leaking DON capacitor upon inspection and had to discard the unit.
Other Thoughts: I am a tech with over 4 years experience. The majority of hardware failure that I have seen in my career is due to low quality Taiwanese capacitors. I do not know if Thermaltake has resolved this issue but I would personally avoid this company's products because of said issue.

No problems yet
Pros: I have used this model power supply in a few systems and never had a defective one. 5 year warranty is awesome!
Cons: An I7 compliant power supply should have more SATA power connectors. It has two that are on the same line and way too close to each other.
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure why they have the SATA power connectors so darn close to each other. if you are putting in a DVD at the top of the case and the hard drive down toward the bottom (where it's cooler) the thing won't reach. You'd think they would know of this problem and correct it. Anyway, it works good and I had an extra converter, so all is well.

DO NOT BUY!!!
Pros: Cheap. Does the job.
Cons: Planned Obsolecsence*!!! You know why you cant open PSU's or it will void warranty?? Because inside of most power supplies are droplets / smears of glue / caulk type material all over the important components!!! Once the "imporved airflow" within the unit collects enough dust the unit overheats in exactly 1 year when your warranty expires@!#@! This sabotage was planned to cause immediate damage to your unit and force you to make a new purchase.
Other Thoughts: It is an absolute shame the fake level of quality these companies claim. If i were you id first make sure the unit is not DOA. Then proceed to open it when first purchased regardless of warranty being void. THE UNIT WILL DIE OUT ONCE ITS OVER ANYWAY AND WILL NOT BE REPLACED. Simply remove the gunk placed on ur electronics and keep the unit free of DUST regularly!!
Manufacturer Response:Dear Anonymous, All Thermaltake Power Supplies have a 5 year warranty. The warning on the power supply is for the safety of the customer as power supplies can store lots of energy and will cause serious damage if handled improperly. This also is done to avoid any issues with a customer "modifying" the product. Please contact ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com for any questions regarding the warranty or the power supply. Pros: Appears well built
Cons: The 12V current rating is insufficient for today's processors and video cards. Ended-up replacing it.

great product, good luck w/ rebate
Pros: really good PSU for the money, cant complain there, using it in my HTPC and it is super quiet, which is what i need in a HTPC.
Cons: NONE with the product
Other Thoughts: sent in all rebate forms and invoices and upc, about a month later i get an email that they noticed i registered for the rebate online but they did not receive my hardcopies. Good power supply
Pros: Great power supply overall. Nice sleeves on the power connectors. The plastic plugs for IDE drives have nice little grips on them. Very quiet even under load.
Cons: Their are two SATA power connectors but they are on the same wrapped line. So, when I connected my hard drive with the SATA power connector it cannot reach to the my SATA DVD-Burner which then required me to get a 4-pin Molex to SATA power adapter.

Pros: This has lasted me over 3 years with zero problems. It's a little outdated now, but it is a long lasting unit!

Excellent value
Pros: Easy to install, runs very quiet, neatly packed cables that are the right length and flexible, supports my new video card easily, no problems whatsoever with performance.
Cons: Replaced an old supply in my Dell Dimension, which isn't very supportive of new PSUs, therefore, it's staying in place with only 2 screws. The dimensions are wrong in the specifications, this PSU is NOT 11" long. I almost freaked out when I saw that after I had already ordered it. It's more like 6-7" long. Perhaps it means centimeters.
Other Thoughts: Great price for a mid-range gaming computer for folks on a budget like myself!

Pretty good but very limited
Pros: So far I haven't had a problem with it. Works great and the fan doesn't make much noise. Anything else I say great about it has been stated by the people right beneath my comments.
The price and quality go hand in hand.
Cons: It lets you know everything that it comes with (20 + 4 pin), a 12V (P4), a PCI-E, 9 peripheral, 2 SATA, and a Floppy connector. But many of the connections are way too close. I got the package deal for the Thermaltake tower, but that was a bad idea. The CD drive and hard drive slots are too far away from each other... Mind you "too far away" means 4 inches. Basically, the 2 SATA connections are connected and if you have a DVD drive and hard drive that both need a SATA connection your only options are to put them extremely close together. In my case, my hard drive had to stay loose. It's not too much of a Con, but there are better power supplies out there.

Listed dimensions are WRONG
Pros: Great price, great reviews here and on other sites for this PS. I used this to replace the PS from my HP a1630n that died after only 2 1/2 years. It died on Saturday and here it is Thursday and I already got the PS from Newegg and installed it-- and I'm back up and running. I'm very pleased I was able to fix my computer myself so cheaply.
Cons: Nothing so far-- but I just got it. I wanted to alert people that Newegg has the dimensions wrong; this isn't a Godzilla-sized power supply.
Other Thoughts: I almost didn't get this power supply because Newegg lists the dimentions as 8" x 11" x 4", even in the picture of it. This is INCORRECT (think about it-- that's HUGE! Would that fit in any computer case that you've seen?). The dimensions Newegg lists is the SIZE OF THE BOX IT COMES IN. The actual power supply will fit in a standard ATX case. The true dimensions are 5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches so no worries about it fitting your ATX case. C.mon Newegg-- fix the specs!

Reliable
Pros: I actually have 2 of these. The first one I purchased 2 1/2 yrs ago. They both run 125 watt Athlon cpu's, 2 optical drives, 2 hard drives and a Radeon XT1950Pro in one and a Radeon 4850 in the other machine. I have had zero power supply problems with this unit. The long cables are nice and this unit feels solid and heavy. I've been thinking about going Crossfire and I'm confident this PSU can handle it.
Cons: Finding a place to stuff all the extra cables!
Other Thoughts: If you can get this with free shipping it's just an unbelievable bargain.

Dead after 1 year
Pros: Good design, decent price. Nice sleeves. Thermaltake
Cons: Died after 1 year... wierd cascading failures starting with a hdd, then boot drive/optical drive, then mem failure. Then wouldn't turn on lol. All under 5 mins. Replaced with cheaper product, works fine. Don't have proof of purchase so warranty is worth squat to me. Expected better.
Manufacturer Response:Starwolf, Please contact me at cs3@thermaltakeusa.com so we can take care of this problem for you.

Works well, is quiet
Pros: Black and fully sleeved, which makes it look attractive. Packaged well. Quiet, since there are two fans. Has plenty of connectors for all sorts of motherboards, including something for EPS12V.
Cons: I wish it had more SATA connections.
Other Thoughts: I bought this one for my Phenom II system - older reviews state that it has one 19A 12v rail, but it actually has two 12v rails, one 15A and one 14A for 29A total, a respectable number.

Excellent Product for Dell Dimension owmers
Pros: This is my 2nd purchase of this power supply for a 2nd Dell Dimension within my family. Both replacements I have done were for the blasted 4600 model with its problematic ps. This particular Dell got blown out from lightening storm. Highly rec.. The ps fit perfectly in the Dell love the new snake coils now offered from previous yrs, extremely quiet running.
Cons: None after 2 yrs of 1st ps purchase.

Pros: Well, constructed, with braided cables and wiring. Over current protection that actually works. Dual fans that provide for adequate cooling. Probably the best psu out there for the money. Unless 430 watts isn't going to be adequate for your application, then you cannot go wrong with this unit.
Cons: I wish the overall size were just a bit smaller. I purchased this as a replacement for in an HP case. There was only about 1 inch clearance from the rear of the psu to the rear of the DVD Burner. Not a real problem though. I just had to make sure the cables were situated for ample air movement to insure proper cooling. All things considered, if this is the only thing that I can find wrong with it, that certainly isn't enough to prevent me from not using it again.

Well made for the money
Pros: For the money it's a well made supply with decent specs. Runs my Dell quad core with a 9800 Nvidia and 8GB of RAM just fine. Nice and quiet most of the time.
Cons: My only grips is the two SATA connectors are only 2" apart.

good while it lasted
Pros: lasted 2 years
Cons: when it died it took my mobo with it (40$ PSU vs >$100 MOBO)
Other Thoughts: the fan sucks a lot of dust, not easily accessable for cleaning. protectection good from external surges but not internal failure. Let loose a big arc when it failed

Early review, I am impressed!
Pros: Price is a consideration, but not the first one when making a PSU buying decision. Reliablilty is a high factor too. I bought this to go into a very nice APEX uATX case (the one with the handle) and it was a perfect match. Sleeving was a pleasant surprise at this price level, everything about this power supply seems to be very high quality. Packed well and all neccesary items were in the box.
Cons: None so far, so I'll just mention that this is a very nice looking power supply. Definitely down there on a scale of "why did I buy this?" but still nice nonetheless.
I think the 12V rail was at 12.06 and the 5V was around 5.25. Not bad, but in general I see more variation in the 5v supply. In my experience, in this price range these voltages are typically highly variable, very solid in this psu.
Other Thoughts: The fans in the Power supply are the quietest thing in my pc. I placed a 120mm antec tricool in front for intake and a 80 mm exhaust, then had the oem 5000+ cpu cooler. So for 5 fans, it is pretty quiet.
I built a new home for my WHS box, and I feel confidant that I made the right choice in PSU. Will repost after time to see if its as good as it looks.

Pros: Good quality, nice wire binding, decent terminals.
Cons: Lower wattage, no SLI power connector.
Other Thoughts: Great power supply for the average PC. Higher end gaming systems running sli, etc. probably should look elsewhere.

Pros: Power Supply is working Great, Low Price overall decent ps
Cons: Don't play on receiving your rebate, I had a double sided invoice and Thermaltake on scanned the one side without the invoice date therefore declining the rebate. Bad Manufacturers are looking any way to stick to customers.

Phenominal
Pros: Two fans and plenty of cords to run my computer
Cons: I was confused when I first received it because there is a 4 pin plug attached to the 20 pin plug, and I forced it on my 4 pin on the motherboard before I realized there are two other 4 pins on the power supply. I thought the 4 pin attached to the 20 pin was kinda dumb.
Other Thoughts: It is a great replacement for my dead, off brand 400w I am glad I purchased this. I'm wondering if sending in the barcode for a rebate will void the warranty on my product, but with the rebate its not so expensive so I dont care. Great job ThermalTake and Newegg

Great PS for the price
Pros: Good, inexpensive yet quality power supply. I don't plan on running more than 1 video cars, 1 optical drive and 1 hard drive but am running a Q9550 but with a stock heat sink/fan. This is really overkill for what I need but at this price, what the hell.
Cons: Have to deal with rebates.
Other Thoughts: This thing seems to constantly have rebates.

My bad but this item is Good.
Pros: I suppose it could be bad luck. I had two go out on me. FOund out I needed a Surge protector. Two of them went boom on me and A surge protector solved the problem. THis PSU has been working great for the last few months.
Cons: its not modular =)
Other Thoughts: Don't forget to get a Surge Protector or UPS to protect your expensive equipment. Live and learn i suppose. But heed the warning.

Power faded into oblivion
Pros: Quite, looks good, nice cabling sheaths and long cables to satisfy bottom of the case installation. Didn't get this PSU at Newegg. My bad, possibly, since I put a lot of trust in Newegg.
Cons: Worked good for awhile. Installed in a new Intel build. CoolerMaster Centurion 590 :) Biostar TP35D2-A7 board E2180 OC'd to 2.4 GHz ASUS EN8400 GS 2X2GB OCZ DDR2 800 1 - WD 80GB SATA 1 - WD 80GB IDE Thermaltake TR2 430W PSU WinXP Pro SP3 A first time Intel new build for me and most of these parts are from Newegg. This build was working fine from the first boot. That lasted a little over two weeks before the system would not complete the system boot. All I could see was the shadow of the Windows Logo as the system froze. Turns out it was this power supply as the culprit. Finally got around to replacing the power supply with an old spare and, as you can see by this review, the Intel PC is now working just fine again.
Other Thoughts: I am somewhat disappointed in the performance of this power supply and durability. True, it is a low cost unit, but still, I think it should be able to survive longer than a couple of weeks. Only the CPU was overclocked and not really pushed that hard. I really expected a better result. Not interested in a really long term functionality, but .......... It'll be a long time before I will consider another Thermaltake PSU.
Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer, Please contact ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com for the warranty support. Thank you,
