Not bad for the Price
Pros: Has USB Key Board and Mouse support Has VGA connections for both outputs on the computers
Cons: The only thing I had an issue with was the remote seemed very cheap and not made well - the plug the was in the remote plugged into had a short in it and made the Remote not work.
Other Thoughts: Waiting on a replacement from newegg - RMA

Does the job...
Pros: Facilitates running XP and Vista units with one monitor due to space concern. Unlike other reviewers, I have had little/no problem using wireless keyboard or mouse (Logitech MX3200). Newegg $$ was right, half of what I originally paid (and returned) at a large national store. I mostly use the keyboard shortcut to switch/flip from one source to the other. Athough the wired remote feels flimsy, it has worked fine for 6+ months - use the computers every day.
Cons: If the cable/junction point (of the video feeds from the CPU's, the transmitter for the wireless keyboard/mouse, and the wired FLIP remote) are frequently moved, the likelihood of problems/failure to respond to commands increases greatly. Once I positioned this junction in manner that it does not move around, I have had maybe one or two random failures to flip. Reboot and all is back to normal.
Other Thoughts: It has worked in my application. Nothing slick or awe inspiring, but if you want to run two machines with one monitor/keyboard/mouse it seems to fill the bill.

Great for home office
Pros: The wired remote is a great feature, and allows the unit to be hidden which is nice because it uses built in cables and has a unique design that unfortunately doesn't lend itself to a clean installation. Switching computers is easy with this unit, but takes about 3 seconds to restart the USB devices upon each switch.
Cons: Cable length was an issue for me. One cable is approximately 2.5', while the second cable is about 5'. I needed equal length cables to set up my computers on either side of my monitor. On two occassions during the three weeks I had this unit, it lost signal to keyboard and mouse, but recovered within seconds only causing minor interruptions.
Other Thoughts: Some reviews site issues with the remote device. I too had problems at first, but realized that the plug for the remote needed to be pushed more firmly into the switch. It was a very firm fit once I did that, and never had any problems with the switch. If I only used my systems for home office and light gaming, I would have kept the unit. However, I needed four ports, and a unit with USB pass through for faster switching as I do PC repair work from my office as well as moderate gaming.

Take a Pass
Pros: - Hardware button to switch. - Integrated cables. - Allows switching of video only in order to listen to audio on the original computer.
Cons: -Lasted 2 weeks before it stopped working. - Needs an anchoring mechanism so it doesn't slide about.
Other Thoughts: I have this connected to a G4 Mac and a Phenom PC. After 2 weeks, it will no longer pass the keyboard or mouse signal through to either box. The video signal still switches, though. Purchased this through another retailer.

Marginal
Pros: Allows me to use 2 computer on one monitor, one keyboard, one mouse and one set of speakers
Cons: The flip button was dead on arrival. Must manually flip screens by removing and inserting the flip connector at the base.

Works Most of the Time
Pros: Easy setup, nice looking
Cons: -The switch never worked, I have to use the software switch which hinders my ability to switch between a linux box and windows box -It won't switch back if the other machine has turned off the monitor (power-saving). I have to unplug the USB and plug it back in at which point it automatically switches

Belkin Flip USB with audio
Pros: Easy to hookup and use, making this an installation anyone can do themselves.
Cons: I bought two, one worked perfectly and the other was not so hot. The one that fails just drops mouse and keyboard connections, leaving you to reboot.
Other Thoughts: I work in IT and I use a lot of Belkin KVM procducts and never have to think twice about buying Belkin items, they are usually top knotch gear. Wat a disappointment.

Maybe I Just Got Lucky?
Pros: Works for me. I have two XP (one 32 and one 64-bit) PCs sharing a USB wireless Logitech trackman and a USB Saitek Cyborg keyboard. Because of the power consumption on the Saitek Cyborg, I hooked one of the USB ports to a powered Belkin USB hub. None of the problems mentioned in most of the other Flip reviews has been experienced so far.
Cons: This may not be the fault of the Flip, but there is faint background interference coming from the SATA hard drive that is heard on the audio channel when the KVM is switched to my main PC. I do not hear this when a stand-alone set of speakers is connected to that sound card, but the problem follows this PC when I swap positions on the KVM.
Other Thoughts: Belkin appears to be dropping the price on these and I could suspect why based on the other reviews. It would be nice to have Belkin produce an affordable powered 3 or 4-port model with USB, Sound, and DVI that uses keyboard switching without the software driver they provide on their website. I bought two Flips to replace a rack-mounted Belkin 4 port Omniview that didn't do USB or sound.

inexpensive AND cheap
Pros: For 2 months it worked great.
Cons: The monitor and keyboard became out-of-sync so that my laptop would be on my screen, when the keyboard and mouse controlled my desktop, and vice versa. I emailed tech support for help 2 weeks ago and have still not heard back. So what I paid for 2 months of a working kvm is a rip-off. Being ignored by tech support virtually gaurantees that I will never buy a Belkin product again.

KVM
Pros: Usb powered. Long cords. Nice remote.
Cons: Some times the KVM doesnt know what computer to have the USB fliped to. Starts off on orange mode instead of last used.
Other Thoughts: Black colored model would be nice.

quick and easy !
Pros: -easy setup -fairly cheap -clean setup with button -never had an issue switching
Cons: -should have purchased a 4 port, consider this closely prior to purchase -could use another usb port for external hdds/etc -could use a hot key switching functionality
Other Thoughts: overal happy with the product and would suggest to other neweggers.. Also I saw this product at micro center for over 60 bucks !.. i love you newegg !

Works great with Linux
Pros: Works fine, no software needed, no reboot/x log out.
Cons: seems the first time plugging it in, if I do not log out reboot, has to be using the shorter of the two cords. This happened on two installs. Not a big deal.

Disappointing
Pros: Mouse/keyboard flipping has never failed. Light on clicker lets you see which system is active.
Sound pass-through works fine, although sometimes that's not a benefit.
Good if it likes your monitor/video card combo.
Only uses one USB port on your computer.
Cons: Worst problem is that it wouldn't work with my monitor at its native resolution. Lots of flickers and then blue screen (not BSOD, just nothing but the background screen color - would intermittently come up so I could shut down cleanly). This is a simple 1440x900 monitor.
Switching is very slow, with multiple XP beeps (USB acknowledgments?) before it's done.
Other Thoughts: I got it cheap, so the fact that I still have to have 2 monitors on my desk is something I'll live with.
Other KVMs I've tried sometimes completely lost contact with the "off" system. This manual switch doesn't seem to have that problem.

Stay away from this product
Pros: None
Cons: Everytime you boot up, it doesn't recognize kb & mouse. Really bad tech support. They're solution, replace it (did it once) or upgrade usb controller
Other Thoughts: Previously thought it worked when I first bought it, but realized that everytime I turned off my computer, it would not recognize mouse or kb when I booted back up. Had to unplug and plug back it the flip's usb cable to get it to recognize kb and mouse. Tech support was a waste of time. Stay away from the Flip.

Pros: Works.
Cons: 5 to 10 second delay upon switching drives me crazy.
Other Thoughts: I had a similar unit from Linskey that didn't hold up mechanically, but switching was immediate. Contrary to one reviewer, you don't need to use the monitor, I'm using keyboard mouse and audio only. Just hate the delay.

Painfully slow - unreliable
Pros: Nice idea, when it works. Easy to set up, looks good , neatly bundled.
Cons: Sometimes it simply stops working. My only recourse is to disconnect everything and re-connect. Video quality on a 1440 x 900 monitor sometimes goes south. But the biggest annoyance is simply how freakin SLOW it is when switching back and forth between computers. If you only occasionally switch, this may not be a big deal, but if you switch frequently, be prepared to wait up to 10 seconds to get your keyboard awake again.
Sometimes, the little button simply does not work. I am looking for a more reliable switch, and I'll pay more for one that works well and works ALL THE TIME

Easy setup..no problems so far
Pros: Easy set up and worked right away
Cons: Slight delay (2-3 secs) in mouse/kb to work after switching computers (believe this is a usb problem and not the flip's fault)
Other Thoughts: I was a little worried after reading the other review, but took a chance anyway. Worked great the first time I connected a Vista and XP machines. I use a KVM switch at work and they don't have the delay problems, but we have ps2 mouse/kp setup. I read somewhere else that the delay was due to the computers have to recognize the usb devices. It's only been the first day of use, but so far I'm extremely happy.

Sexy KMV
Pros: If you have a PC and a Mac this is one of the few KMV's that allows you to switch between both with no problems.
Cons: Uses USB Keyboard/Mouse only. It uses USB power, so one computer has to be on so it can work. There's a short 5-10 second pause while switching between computers, but all KMV's do this even with standard ports.
Other Thoughts: The remote is a very handy feature, and you don't have to route all the cables to a big ugly black/beige box on your desk.

Video issues
Pros: The tethered 'remote' is a nice idea. LED changes color depending on which PC it's switched to.
Cons: Must have video cards hooked up for it to be willing to switch. If it doesn't see a video signal, it refuses to switch the USB ports. I wanted to use it for mouse/keyboard only, not monitor.
Also, my LCD will not go to sleep when attached to it. The video card cuts the signal causing the monitor to go blank with a "searching for video signal" message, so apparently the monitor never gets the signal telling it to go to sleep.
Other Thoughts: Software is not included for switching the KVM using the keyboard. But you can find and download it from Belkin's website (the manual doesn't even mention that, either). I can confirm that the software runs fine on both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista even though it says only Win2K/XP (and 98?) is supported.

excellent, awsome,just plain cool!
Pros: Alright i know its only been a little while sence ive owned it but so far flawless operation! Im using my pc and mac mini with a wireless Kensington kebord and mouse. setup easy and i love the easy small remote. ive used other rather large kvms that have the selection switch on the main unit and is absoluteley irritating having all that cable on a space you can reach. i love this thing.this one has a seperate button with a thin 4 ft(aprox) wire and looks good by my keybord
Cons: none really... iguess i wish it had some software, but thats just me. i like software and keybord shortcuts. but who cares, really it works just fine
Other Thoughts: i have renewed faith in belkin with this product

sits in the closet now.
Pros: This KVM is small, and switching between the two machines that I had on it was easy. Cool color scheme between which channel you are using,
Cons: While doing anything in either one of the machines (linux, and MS) that I would be running, the keyboard would lock up rendering the keyboard useless for approximately 1 minute. Then would return to its original state letting you use it. Any key that you were hitting at the time of the lockup would be stuck on and repeat until the keyboard came back on. This was frustrating while playing games, since you cannot pause the game due to the lack of being able to use the keys. Finally I took the KVM off of my machines and just switched the cables when I needed to change to a different machine. It was less stressful than locking up. Also it degrades the quality of the picture from your video card. Nice idea, but did not work like I had planned. It sits in the closet now.
Other Thoughts: I would not recommend that you buy this product. Save, then spend more money and buy a higher quality one.

Has some trouble with monitors
Pros: Very compact with a pendant switch to toggle between computers. Occupies little or no desk space and the business end can conveniently be well hidden.
Cons: Running dual Samsung monitors at 1024 x 768 I could not switch one monitor between my old W2K and and new dual display XP. My guess is that the dual display adapter was unable to handshake with the monitor and closed the second video channel.
Other Thoughts: I imagine that as display adapters get more intelligent the KVMs will need to pay more attention to reporting the monitor ID and capabilities to even the non-selected computer -- this could be a problem for dual displays.
