fast and cool
Pros: Running at stock clocks with stock cooler. I did remove factory thermal paste however and replaced with Arctic Silver 5. Idles at 32C and have yet to see it go above 51C. I upgraded from 3200+ Windsor on DFI mobo single channel RAM DDR 400 to this chip on MSI K9AG neo2 with dual channel DDR2 800 and what a difference! Would like to see how well it overclocks, but my mobo is verrry limited on OC options.
Cons: wish it had 1M level 2 cache like the Windsor 5200+

Pros: Shipped from newegg quickly and arrived in pristine condition. Works like a charm.
Cons: It runs a little warmer than I expected (45C-50C) considering it is 65nm. I'd recommend an after-market heatsing/fan.
Other Thoughts: Good price for the performance.

Cool but HOT HOT HOT
Pros: Well this thing hauls as hard as i wanted. It's low powered so I was able to get away with only a 500 watt power supply.
Cons: This Chip is running at 62 Celsius according to both the BIOS monitor and Speedfan. I measured it again with my infrared therm and only got 40C (at an angle and only partially on the CPU under the fan) I don't know what is up but I clocked it up a little and the temp remains exactly the same.
Other Thoughts: I can't explain why the Chip temp is always 62C but hey it works. I tried it in another board and the temp was the same. But hey it works.

Great Processor
Pros: Very nice! Its fast enough to run all my games and whatever else I need, and I overclocked it from 2.6GHz to 2.925GHz using stock cooling.
Cons: Small L2 cache, small heat sink/fan.
Other Thoughts: OC!

Great
Pros: Quick and cool this cpu rates well with windows vista and installed with no problems and the heatsink will do the job fine being as this is a 65 watt.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: AMD has never let me down and this bang for your buck with this processor is great. Gets a better vista rating than my e6300 that cost more than this did

Best Price/Performance
Pros: Currently, AMD offers the best price/performance, which was my reason for buying. I also wanted something energy efficient and cool, so I picked up the fastest Brisbane available- the X2 5000+. It runs amazingly fast and cool (under 30C most of the time).
Cons: Clock for clock, AMD loses when it comes to performance. Also, newer Brisbane chips have higher L2 cache latency.
Other Thoughts: Overall, this chip was the best bang for my buck. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Pros: Great price for Dual Core. Much faster than the Athlon 64 Orleans +3500 it replaced.
Cons: Difficult to seat Fan\Heatsink. Seems to run hotter than I thought it would.

Better price/performance ratio than E6600
Pros: 65nm technology providing a build path for future AMD chips. Great performance at stock speeds. Runs everything I throw at it better than 90nm dual core chips of comparable speeds.
Cons: Doesn't have 1MB of L2 cache. Heatsink left me wanting a little bit.
Other Thoughts: It's approximately 20% slower than the E6600, but it's almost HALF the cost. This is a better price/performance ratio than the E6600.

no difference btw windsor
Pros: Cheaper than intel.
Cons: Claims power efficient but I see no difference between the 65nm and 90nm parts in terms of power consumption. Guess the gate current leakage is higher on 65nm silicon process.
Other Thoughts: Almost 20% slower compared to a E6600. Hopefully the new AMD CPUs will perform much better or intel will become a monopoly soon.

Solid Efficient Processor
Pros: Very Efficient 65 watt chip means its cooler and its still fast. The fastest 65 watt rated chip current in AMD inventory. Runs games like FEAR and Supreme Commander without a problem.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks as usuall!

Pros: Great performer,EE,65nm. Great upgrade for Dell Demension desktops with lower X2's.
Cons: Provided heatsink could be better. With Dell's you have to use their's so not a problem for me.
Other Thoughts: I was waiting for the 5200 2.7ghz brisbane(65nm 65w) to come out but haven't seen it yet. Great price/performance ratio with Amd's price cut.

Very nice
Pros: Unimaginably fast compared to my old A64 3000+.Insanely powerful for an excellent price
Cons: Runs pretty toasty for an EE processor. With stock cooling 40C idle and 53C load.
Other Thoughts: Get yourself a large heatsink for this thing

Pros: Recently received my processor, works flawlessly so far, i got this one because of it being 65nm vs the 90nm and its the fastest one AMD makes so far. lower power consumption is nice suppost to run cooler also.
Cons: NONE!
Other Thoughts: Great buy if your looking for something pretty fast and well priced.
