Not fantastic, but does the job
Pros: Silent. Solidly beats the 1.8GHz P4 Northwood in my desktop (sad, eh?) Runs Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne well too, but that's probably due to the doubled memory in my Dxxx Inspiron B130. (512MB vs the 256MB in my desktop...T_T) The Pentium mobile architecture seems to be better than the desktop version if you ask me.
Cons: Typical of most Netbursts, can get fairly hot after prolonged usage - though it's not as bad as the desktop Pentiums. Is a bit sluggish at times, gets hung up on occasion, and it's not a C2D, either.
Other Thoughts: This isn't a beast by any means, but it works and works well. It's a decent stopgap until I get a new computer with a C2D E6600.

I wanted a quiet machine
Pros: Does not generate much heat. My CPU and Power Supply fans now run at half the speed they did with a 1.6Ghz P4 - all else having remained the same.
Cons: Requires an adapter to work on a socket 478 Motherboard (the ASUS CT-479).
Other Thoughts: I have an ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe board (which is NOT a M/B listed to work with the M/B I have) -- but the adapter *DOES* work with that board as ASUS says in their FAQ for the *P4P800-SE* board.
This pair makes for a nice quiet fairly powerful system. I think that Newegg ought to carry the CT-479 which, unfortunately, I had to buy elsewhere.
I am now a very cool, noise free, happy camper!

"479 not 478pin"
Pros: This proccessor eats anything I can throw at it, this is the powerplant for an imaging computer with three monitors, two 20inch dell ultra sharp, and one 15inch IBM, let me tell you for the price to hertz this will give you all you can ask for in mobile cpu.
Cons: Was a little bit confussed when I read the listing about the 478pins. All Pentium M and Celoron M's are 479 not 478pin. NewEgg at the time i am writing this doesn't have the 2.6GHz. I don't know if this would work in a Tablet PC. The box is big for this little thing, big enuf to fit a heatsink and fan. But it didn't come with one?
Other Thoughts: Wanna build a silent Desktop with this, there is an adapter to convert this CPU to 478pins, to use in the old Pentium 4 Mobo's.
I really want to try one of these in my tablet, upgrade from the 1.1GHz I have now.
