It's ok....
Pros: It's one of the fastest Celeron Ds out there. Good speed for what it is.
Cons: Bought it when it was like $60. Slower then my P4 2.66GHz processor. Very small cash (128kb). Not good for most gaming.
Other Thoughts: Great for simple stuff like surfing the web, or word processing and some simple games.

great cheap processor!
Pros: This is a wonderful processor for a cheap system build for grandma, or someone that just needs to check email and listen to music. Runs cool at 46 C with stock hsf running prime95!
Cons: A little slow for my taste, but hey, the build isn't for me. For anything more than a Word/email pc, spend the extra $75 and get a c2d. The E4500 is wonderful. HSF is a little tricky to install, but even first timers will get though it.
Other Thoughts: this thing is so slow, theres no point in specs. MSI mobo and 512 of cheap DDR2 ram. It runs really well for what it was built to do though. c2d rocks!

Great for the price
Pros: value and speed
Cons: smaller cache
Other Thoughts: This is my second Celeron D 347. They are great for light to medium duty needs. I built a system for my kids to play games on about a year ago and recently another for my mom for xmas.

Works good. Low price.
Pros: This CPU works good. The PC that it went into works just fine even with it only having the 512 L2 Cache.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: As always Newegg ships quick and has great products.

good cheap processor
Pros: Very good price. Runs cool enough, cooler than my pentium D at least.
Cons: Not dual core. But at this price it's not really a con.
Other Thoughts: I've been putting these in $250 builds. Runs pretty nicely, I don't see THAT much of a performance drop from my Pentium D in another system. It's great if you don't do any processor intensive stuff.

Good processor, bad heatsink
Pros: Good speed for the price. Easy install of processor.
Cons: Heatsink should have been easy to install, but one of the four corner pieces that attach to the motherboard was broken. Managed to get it on, but had to remove it to apply more thermal paste, and a second corner piece had also broken somehow and is now stuck in the motherboard. Managed to get the thermal paste on and reattach it, but the attachments are dodgy at best and I'm worried that the heatsink will fall off at any moment. The other three corner pieces have trouble staying in and my system just spontaneously shut down when the heatsink came loose. I reattached it and rebooted, and it seems to be working, but I have no idea if that will last. I'm glad the processor didn't blow up. If I can get this one out, I'm putting in a new heatsink.
Other Thoughts: If you get this, get another heatsink on top of it just to be sure. There are some nice cheap ones here on newegg.
Note: I am not a gamer and do not overclock, and I am running Ubuntu Linux.

Great CPU
Pros: Very cheap. Great speed for what it is.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I was hesitant of the "Celeron" name, but I was surprised how fast this processor is. This is perfect for a kids PC or for small business needs.

Charming
Pros: This CPU line is perfect for building customers a budget PC that doesn't skip on performance. This CPU stays very cool even on full load and I have not had any intermittent failures (Typically due to the misplacement of the mildly complex heatsink for LGA775).
Cons: Besides the smaller level two cache compared to other Intel procesors, this CPU is perfect for building budget PCs for office and home users. The only con I can think of is this is not dual core.
Other Thoughts: This is an amazing CPU for the price and performance that you receive. Comparing this to even a single core Athlon is justifiable and it blows away any Sempron. I highly recommend any of the Cedar Mill core Socket T Celeron D line.

good
Pros: great price. nice speed your everyday computer.
Cons: none

Pros: Hey! good stuff I like so far. I didn,t though a celeron can go quick like this one I puteed in a intel 945 motherboard and believe me Im happy with the speed.
Cons: can;t tell no more because I just have it just a week with it.
Other Thoughts: just becareful if you put it in a motherboard and your sound doest work it could be the cpu something rear but it happen to me.

Cheap and FAST
Pros: WOW.. Works great for a Celeron. I run all my games with this at 1680x1050 N/P, granted i have a $200 video card, But only a Gig of RAM.
Cons: I don't think it could get any Cheaper but it would be nice
Other Thoughts: Who needs a Full Pentium to play Games. i Play WOW (1680x1050x32), Fable (1680x1050x32), Sword of a new World (1680x1050x32), MOH (1680x1050x32), Halo (1680x1050x32), NWN2 (1680x1050x32 laggy, but it's laggy with everything) ... and the list keeps going. with just a Gig of DDR24200 and 7900GTS 256MB, i can play it all

Good buy. Nuff said...
Pros: O.k. we're talking about a 3ghz cpu for under 50 bucks. I over clocked it on my Asrock 4coreDual-vsta mobo to a stable whopping 4.03ghz!!! Had this for 4 months. Again it's less than $xx!!!
Cons: uh, I don't know. would be nice to be able to use the second core on the chip but then I suppose it wouldn't be under $xx.
Other Thoughts: Need a fast stable cpu for a budget gaming rig? Get this one. Nuff said.

Good Price, Exceptional Speed
Pros: Good enough to play some games on and to complete autocad. Running with 1GB ddr2 667 coupled to an ECS board, makes for a cheap comp but with optimal preformance
Cons: None!

Pros: Ive had this for over a year now, in fact i have 2 of them. So far they been on 3 months non stop powering my webservers (apaches) at 3.06ghz this thing is a monster celeron D. LEET sticker too lOL!
Cons: Dint come with a legendary artifact.
Other Thoughts: if your looking for a tough and i mean tough long lasting, decent preforming cpu then this is the correct one for you. the price is unbeatable for its specs.

NewEgg Rocks!
Pros: It does what it's designed to do. Newegg beats out the competition in price and service. I upgraded to this cpu 'cause I needed more horse power to play Everquest 2 and Vanguard Saga of Heroes. The CPU does it's job good on a properly built rig, nuff said.
Cons: It didn't come with a secret spy decoder ring or a legendary artifact. :(
Other Thoughts: Cheap processor that get the job done.

Great CPU
Pros: Runs fast and cool. Runs great with Windows XP. No complaints what so ever.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Great for a budget, cheap and fast. However, dual cores are becomming better and cheaper so check those before bying this processor. Otherwise, I'd say to go for it.

Not bad for a Celeron

P4 Performance in a Celeron package
Pros: The Celeron Cedar Mill chips are comparable with the "CORE" chips however they have only 1 CPU. Running 64bit OS's is a dream. the 512k Cache is FAR better than the previous 256k. Clock cycles are higher than average which helps with the LONG pipeline but you'll find heavy apps like Vista and Suse Linux tend to run longer than they should. 533bus is getting slow but this chip is overclockable with a good fan. OEM Heatsink and fan running the chip at 3.06 keeps the temps to 100-104*F on average-even running for 32hrs straight burning DVD data discs.
Cons: NONE!
Other Thoughts: Great CPU for the price and wouldn't hesitate buying one again. By August of 2007 we should see Celeron2Duo's out so please check before comitting.

Update: Bang For buck! ... maybe better
Pros: See Other Thoughts!
Cons: See Other Thoughts!
Other Thoughts: Just an update on the temps and overclockability: Runs @ 4.3Ghz on stock 1.22 vcore.
Also found out that I was reading temps wrong! @4.3Ghz, cpu runs very very low astonishing enough I was able to accomplish 31C at idle and 43C at full load.
Makes this a better bang for buck!

Bang for buck!!!
Pros: Only pro I can think of is best bang for your buck! Runs stable at stock but fast enough to where no overclocking is needed.
Cons: I will second the fact that Intel should have enabled HTT on-die with this processor. Losing way too much multitasking power.
Other Thoughts: No problems with temps here. approx 41C idle and 49C under load with the stock HSF.

Cheap and pretty fast.
Pros: Very cheap. Good performance in Vista. Runs almost all programs well.
Cons: No hyperthreading, so it's not good at multitasking. Not a good overclocker.
Other Thoughts: I had it overclocked to 3.91 GHz, and it was unstable. 3.8 and it was unstable, 3.61 was unstable, as was 3.2 GHz. It's not at all good for overclocking, but 3.06 GHz is pretty good for the price.

good and fast
Pros: very fast, boots to my OS in 30 seconds... I was able to overclock to 3.43GHz at 1.325v (Intel's max spec voltage for it). And it only got up to about 48 degrees C under load.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: be sure to install the heatsink/fan posts properly! Some of the other reviewers who got such high temps may have not got all 4 posts inserted all the way, or just didn't have adequate chassis ventilation in the CPU area. I got the WinSys WA-06 case and it works great because it has a CPU intake shroud.

Celeron D, better than my old P4!!!
Pros: This does not seem like a Celeron. It is more like a like a P4! It fly's through XP and does more than expected. Running with stock cooling fan and all is just fine! The Best low budget processer for you buck!!! 10x faster than my old 1.6P4 from Dell!
Cons: No problems, althoug I thought that there would be.
Other Thoughts: Intel has really made improved there Celeron line. I would highly recommend this for anyone on a budget!

Celewhat??
Pros: This processor does not in any way seem like a Celeron. With the 64-bit architecture and 512kb l2 cache, it seems more like a high end P4. Great processory, very fast. Cheap.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: NewEgg is awesome! Fast shipping, great customer service.

Its an upgrade for me
Pros: it runs great, compared to my 701 celeron from like 3 years ago, it was really rough trying to get everything to run nice on that crummy machine, anyways it runs alot faster than my previous cpu, and i upgraded my mobo to the intel DG965 and it runs spectacular, but for some reason i think it may be running Half life one a lil strange, i dunno im gunna look into it
Cons: its not the pentium d which i will be upgrading to after i get my video card.
Other Thoughts: if you dont have the money for a pentium d, and ur making somthing not for gaming... this is ur processor, it runs everything quickly, loads web pages instantly, and i havent had a problem with it for the 2 months i have owned it

It works
Pros: What can I say? It's a low-cost Intel EM64T CPU and it works. The included heat sink/fan was easy to mount on the motherboard -- just position and push down on the pins until they lock.
Cons: None

Celeron D
Pros: its cheap, its the newer version with smaller core architecture. so it runs a lot cooler than the older core. and it is running at a pretty good clock frequency.
Cons: it is a celeron... so you arent setting any speed records. and it is running the NetBurst architecture not the Core so you really arent setting speed records
Other Thoughts: NetBurst architecture is notoriously hot so make sure that you have adequate cooling
