Works fine in Dell Optiplex G240
Pros: Better than an empty memory bank; works and plays well with others.
Cons: It is not capable of walking. If it did, it would have arrived faster than with the shipping method that I foolishly selected.
Other Thoughts: Great value for the price. I seated it improperly on the first try. Re-seated both sticks, and, bam, 256MB goes to 512MB in the old Dell I was fixing up!

Old stuff, but it works!
Pros: I purchased this over a year ago and just got around to writing a review. I have it in a VIA C3 box running a linux web server 24x7. It never gets turned off. Memory has worked fine this whole time.
Cons: None

Great Savings
Pros: Much faster response from my old Dell computer. Cost me less than half of what Dell wanted for the same amount of RAM.
Cons: none - very easy upgrade
Other Thoughts: Thank you for the savings $$$ NewEgg!!!

Good memory
Pros: Works fine.
Cons: It could be a few $ cheaper, seeing how old it is. Not much of a performance gain after replacing two 128MB sticks with two of these 256's.
Other Thoughts: Installed in an old Dell 933MHz PIII box.

Good RAM for old computers
Pros: This is excellent RAM that I used in an old computer to bring it up to speed. It allowed me to install linux and which made the computer not continually crash. Plus it is cheap.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: If you have an old computer buy this.

One good stick
Pros: Paired this up with an old stick of kingston value ram, and had no problems. Running 512 of kingston in an old pentiumIII 733mghz mobo for my mom, and it works like a charm.. just about doubled my speeds. Overall Kingston mem was a good choice this time.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: none.

Be careful with older machine specs!!
Pros: Probably great memory... hard to say, it gave a POST error and the machine wouldn't boot
Cons: Not compatible with my dad's HP Pavilion -- this is PC133, as were all 6 recommended selections using Newegg's memory selector. Turns out the machine needs PC100. I guess the bottom line is, always check mfr's specs!!
Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks and is correcting the error at no charge to me!

Meh....
Pros: None...See Other Thoughts.
Cons: None...See Other Thoughts.
Other Thoughts: Could not get it to fully work. It is a high density stick of ram and my old PC would not recognize more than 192MB of it. Too bad.

Pros: Works well in an older Dell system.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: It's not much RAM and it's more expensive than newer RAM, but still adds a nice boost to an older system.

Great deal
Pros: Exact match! Brought my Dimension 4100 back to life. Maxed out with 512MB. Recommend you buy this! Go Newegg and Kingston!
Cons: None!
Other Thoughts: Other brands may be cheaper, but don't risk it. Stick with names you know.

Good ram for price
Pros: Put it in an older computer that had the same memory in because it did not like the mus**in I bought that was a few bucks cheaper and it works like an ace.

Value Ram won't work...
Pros: I should have checked further before I bought the cheaper ram..
Cons: Kingston Value Ram will not work even when all the spec's match. HP Pavilion won't recognize the Value Ram.

So-So
Pros: Products received in excellent condition. Received 2 DIMMs with same Kingston Part# except for small print on bottom of label.
Cons: One DIMM worked and the other did not. Believe one to be unbuffered and the other 1 buffered. Small print on bottom of label "ELP 9905220-006.A00LF", this 1 did NOT work. Other DIMM "9905220-011.A00" worked.
Other Thoughts: Both DIMMs are good but 1 is not the correct type. From the Kingston website: KVR133X64C3Q/256 Description: 256MB 133MHz Non-ECC CL3 DIMM 16Mx8 Detailed Specifications: Standard 32M X 64 Non-ECC 133MHz 168-pin Unbuffered DIMM (SDRAM, 3.3V, CL3, Double-Sided, Gold)

Did not Work
Pros: Product received in excellent condition and free of charge.
Cons: Product did not work in e-machine T1115. Needs to be Non-ECC and Unbuffered.
Other Thoughts: Should have been: KVR133X64C3Q/256 Description: 256MB 133MHz Non-ECC CL3 DIMM 16Mx8 Detailed Specifications: Standard 32M X 64 Non-ECC 133MHz 168-pin Unbuffered DIMM (SDRAM, 3.3V, CL3, Double-Sided, Gold)

So far so good
Pros: Bought 7 sticks for some older computers, all worked just fine. Pentium III's and IV's
Cons: Other brands are cheaper, but don't know if I can trust them
Other Thoughts: I mixed some PC133 with PC100 memory and they cooperated w/o problems. Ordering 3 more now.

Something to keep that ol' P3 alive
Pros: Revived an old Dell optiplex gx150 from going to the trash
Cons: two of these only show up as 128 a piece in an old Hp , but worked flawlessly in a Dell.
Other Thoughts: This Dell is gonna be used in a Garage to run diagnostic software on my car and to run Mp3's while i work.....Two of these sticks will run great for that purpose

Cons: Was not free :-)

Dell Dimension 4100
Pros: I have used this memory in 2 Dell Dimension 4100 computers. One was a PIII 933Mhz which had 128MB RAM. I upgraded to 2 sticks of this 256MB RAM and it has been working great for over a year now. The other is a PIII 800 Mhz Dell Dimension and I removed the 2 sticks of 128 and installed 2 of these 256 and once again it is working well. Go Newegg and Kingston. Fast service and shipping.
Cons: None!
Other Thoughts: There was some speed increase but nothing dramatic. If you are looking for major speed improvements keep in mind that these are old Dell’s and should go with something newer.

Great RAM
Pros: I bought this RAM as open box, and when I recieved it I put it in my custom machine and it recognized it right away. No problem on post. Easy install. Also its a Kingston; one of the best RAM brands out there. Cheap price.
Cons: None, it still runs and I have put my machine through its paces quite a bit.
Other Thoughts: I wonder if the warranty is still in place...haven't had to use it.

Works in OptiPlex GX150
Pros: Upgraded an i815-based Dell OptiPlex GX150 to its maximum 512MB. It works.
Cons: Had to remove and reinsert the modules to make full contact with the sockets.
Other Thoughts: Visit the manufacturer's web site to make sure this memory is compatible with your motherboard.

DON'T BUY!!!
Pros: NONE...TERRIBLE RAM
Cons: IT WORKED FOR THE FIRST 20 MINS...THEN IT WAS ALL DOWNHILL FROM THERE. I STARTED GETTING SYSTEM ERRORS IN A BLUE SCREEN. I FINALLY UNINSTALLED IT AND ERRORS WENT AWAY. MY ADVISE TO YOU IS DO NOT BUY...SPNED A FEW MORE DOLLARS AND GET A BETTER PRODUCT
Other Thoughts: KINGSTON IS GOOD...BUT NOT WITH THIS MEMORY

Check before you buy
Pros: Kingston sells a good product. It just is not compatible with my PC. Pc only recognizes 1/2 the capacity. I have found kingston RAMto be reliable in the past.
Cons: Well it didn't work but that is not kingston's fault.
Other Thoughts: I knew better than to hit the buy button before researching the compatibility with my mother board. So do your research by following the manufacturers product link.

It helped
Pros: It's RAM - plug it in and go. It helped speed up a Gateway PC, factory thought that 256MB is enough to run Windows XP
Cons: It's PC 133......
Other Thoughts: Harder to find PC 100 and PC 133. Glad to see it is still available at Newegg. Crucial did not have it!

Pros: Quick shipping and easy return with a Newegg RMA when it did not work.

Didn't work with sister's Dell
Pros: Was Cheap
Cons: Didn't work with my Sister's Dell - checked the online user manul and spec of the other 256MB SDRAM and it should have.
Other Thoughts: She had only 256MB RAM with XP, so I ordered this for her (remotely). But system would halth half-way thru boot. She took it out - I'll have to look at it next time I'm down visiting.

Good stuff
Pros: Put in my Dimension 4100, no problems, better performance. Still not a great computer, but I spend less time starting at the ceiling and inventing new curses.
Cons: none after a couple weeks
Other Thoughts: Read a NewEgg review that mentioned good results in a Dimension 4100. This was very helpful as I am not well versed in computerware and sometimes the specs are incomplete from the maunufacturers' sites.

Works great for Older Machine
Pros: Worked perfectly. Recognized immediately.
Cons: none

good performance for older computers
Pros: The installation was very easy. Just snap in the memory into the brackets and reboot. WinXPSP2 immediately recognized the increased RAM. made my computer startup time much faster.
Cons: none

Works Great on Powermac G4
Pros: This memory works great in a Apple Powermac G4 "Sawtooth" computer. It's a great upgrade as it boosted my memory up to 1GB and Mac OSX Tiger loves it.
Cons: It's only 256mb stick.
Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped fast, got in 3 days. Always will be a Newegg customer and will refer other people because of my satisfaction with them. Go Newegg

good for Dell Dimension 4300
Pros: I have a old dell dimension 4300 machine. original it has 256Mb on bank 1. I bought this to put it into bank 2, and not problem at all. Speed up my machine a lot. I turned on my machine it used to take 5 mins. Now drops to 1 and half mins.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: just doubt should i put more money into this old machine.

Compaq Presario 7598 no-go
Pros: Newegg delivered on time and at a great price.
Cons: This RAM does not work with the Compaq Presario 7598.
Other Thoughts: The 256MB PC133 SDRAM that does work is 32Mx64, unfortunatly RAM with those specs are out of stock. Coincidence? maybe not.

Excellent!
Pros: Plugged it in worked right away no problems, all memory accounted for
Cons: None plug n play no problems works perfect!
Other Thoughts: i wish newegg would have posted the difference between high density and low density memory, i purchased 3 sticks of pqi memory which said it was high density and did not work with my system or any of the other 3 comps i put it in, so i spent some more got the kingston and hey it works fine. the sad thing is my comp seems to max out at 512mb oh well the two sticks i got work awesome :D if your comps old make sure you dont get high density because it is only for systems that can support at least 1.5gb of memory, cheers!

Dell 4100 memory upgrade
Pros: Bought this memory upgrade for a friends slow as a snail Dell Dimensions 4100. This memory upgrade made a world of difference on the pc I upgraded and booted up immediately after installing the 2 ram sticks.
Good choice and good price!
Cons: none at the moment

Didn't work in older system
Pros: Cheap? But no cigar.
Cons: Didn't work in a Dell Dimension 2100. Wanted to upgrade the system cheap. I guess cheap doesn't always work. Bought a corsair instead and worked like a charm.
Other Thoughts: This has happened to me twice on 2 different systems. I bought cheaper / lower end ram, instead of the more expensive / higher quality Corsair. In both cases, I've had to return it to buy corsair instead. From what I've read it seems to be a hit and miss with these modules.

Not Always Low Density
Pros: This is very good Ram for an old PC133 computer. No defects, made my old BE6-II ABIT motherboard as usable as the 2004 Dell upstairs.
Cons: I bought 1 stick intialy. The ABIT BE6-II can't use high-density ram, and only recognises half of the addresses on each chip, as is common for older computers. The stick I recived WAS low-density! overjoyed at the find, I imediatly orded 2 more sticks to fill out the slots. BZZT! Wrong move, the next two sticks high-density and and I wound up with 512MB total RAM instead of 768MB. The sticks were NOT broken, mind you, my Motherboard simply could only recognise them as perfectly working 128MB sticks.
Other Thoughts: My ABIT BE6-II was made before 133MHz FSB was officialy available, but was designed to run at 133MHz anyway, even though the Intell chipset didn't officialy support it. As such, kingston's officail tool on their website to select only RAM compatable with your motherboard will only offer me PC100 RAM. Of coarse, I need PC133 RAM to run on my motherboard running at 133MHZ, but couldn't I PLEASE get it at low-density? No tool gives me explicit options, so I'm stuck with the hit-and-miss strategy. I am highly sympathetic to any others in a similar position, just know that these sticks will come sometimes high density, somtimes low.

Kingston Ram
Pros: Kingston Ram has always tested good for me and I never had a bad stick out of box
Cons: Would not work in emachine T1110 that features the Intel 810e sys board (even though Intel doc shows that it can handle up to 133 MHz bus speeds)
Other Thoughts: I'm doing RMA on this and replacing with another Kingston stick but at the recommended mfg 100 MHz bus speed

Not For All
Pros: Cheap price but actually expensive for such old technology.
Cons: Absolutely made with the chip making technology so alot of OLDER motherboards won't work with it. Memory is recognized but when you run extensive memory tests they fail. Seen alot of misbehavior in windows due to these chip problems and the new chip design.
Other Thoughts: Kingston gave up on making the ram the way it was when the target market of these boards was made. Their high density chips, altough recognized by the BIOS and the OS fail under extensive testing. The memory is fine it is just that the high density nature of the chips make them unsuitable for many older boards.

Good memory for an old Dell
Pros: Got it for a cheap P4 1.6GHz 133MHz FSB and it works
Cons: no complaints
Other Thoughts: This is 133MHz RAM, for use with a PC with a 133MHz or 100MHz FSB. If you don't have that then this is not the memory you're looking for. It will not work well/properly/not at all.

Works Great with Dell 4100!
Pros: Because of all the helpful reviews I read here, I ordered this for my Dell 4100. It was dying a slow death with 128MB RAM, and now that it has been given new life with another 256MB, it is humming right along. Looking forward to replacing the original 128MB with another 256 MB board. Wanted to take small steps. THANK YOU TO ALL!
Cons: None!

works for P III Tyan but not with K7 AMD motherboard
Pros: works fine with Tyan motherboard for P III. Performance is normal and expected.
Cons: didn't work with my ASUS K7 AMD Athlon, which it was intended for. not too happy that i didn't go well. now have to waste more money on old style ram.
Other Thoughts: gotta do your research before hand. it would be nice if newegg could provide some capatibility list. price was good. shipping took 5 days. 2 days processing before sent.

Great for old Dell 4100 box
Pros: Wow, I've been using two old 32MB pc100 sticks, and have been meaning to buy this for my old Dell 4100. Terrific upgrade, very happy Ubuntu. As always, Newegg's quick delivery (2 days on a 3 day ship) was very satisfactory, and this RAM was just as advertised. Great value.
Cons: None whatsoever. Great product.
Other Thoughts: For you people trying to buy this for your XPS machines, this RAM is for older machines like mine. If you don't get it to word, maybe you should have researched the fact that this is pc133, an older make of RAM (has been around for 5-6 years). You may want to buy something a little more expensive if you have a newer machine. More $ = faster + better quality.

A Simple Install
Pros: Step 1 - Turn off and unplug compy. Step 2 - Open case. Step 3 - Insert RAM stick. Step 4 - Close case. Step 5 - Plug in and turn on compy.
As simple as that.
Cons: Uh.....the price maybe? Seemed a bit expensive, but it is Kingston, a nice name brand, and I didn't pay for it.
Other Thoughts: Nah.

Don't buy for Compaq
Pros: Price maybe?? IF it works for you
Cons: Did not work in Compaq Presario 5008 even though reviews said it would and Newegg won't RMA. Now I have to Deal with Buying new, hoping it works and sending this back to manufacturer
Other Thoughts: Looks like this RAM is hit and Miss in Compaq's based on favorable reviews and my own experience that it doesn't work.

Great Stable Memory
Pros: This memory is everything good RAM should be: stable, fast, and at a reasonable price.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I bought this to rebuild an old Compaq computer because it's proprietary power supply had failed. I put a new system together with a new case, power supply, motherboard, and memory all from Newegg.com and for cheaper than Compaq/HP would have charged me just for the power supply. Rebuild: 1Ghz Pentium 3 DFI CA64-TC (Socket 370/VIA) 256MB 133 SD-Ram (Kingston) nVidia TNT2 AGP 20GB HDD 48x CD-Rom, APEX C-115 case.

Know the product before you give it a bad review
Pros: Inexpensive, works well
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I've used Kingston products for a long time, and the bad reviews on this page are not because the product is faulty or bad, it's because the people ordered the wrong product.
To find out what model of memory stick works with your particular computer, go to Kingston's web site and use their memory search; it will tell you exactly what part number you need.
Don't blame the memory manufacturer because your computer maker doesn't follow the standards.

Great Buy
Pros: For you novices out there. For the Dell 4000 series direct Kingston compatability ram is: KTD-DM133/xxxMB. Their value ram has the same specs, and functions the same, for a savings of 25%. Lifetime warranty
Cons: None that I see
Other Thoughts: New gaming programs are chewing up more and more ram. The 512MB max allows my kids computer able to play todays games for a short while at least.

Dell Dimension L1000R
Pros: The order process was quick and easy, as well as the RMA process, because it did not work.
Cons: Everything I had been told was that this computer used PC 133 memory. It would only recognize 32 MB of each stick. This is too bad, as I have never had a problem with Kingston. Moral, do not use this memory in this model Dell.
Other Thoughts: I guess I will have to get the memory from Dell?

Compaq No-No
Pros: It works.
Cons: NewEgg info does not state this is single-sided.

Not for a Dell Optiplex GX50
Pros: Item was delivered speedily and packaged well.
Cons: Couldn't tell that it was single-sided from the picture. I bought 3 of these for computers at my office and opened the package to find that the memory was single-sided. The memory already in the system is double-sided. So this memory does NOT work for a Dell Optiplex GX50.
Other Thoughts: It might help if the memory had a little more information about it.

Nope
Pros: Good price
Cons: Got this upgrade my grandpa's HP 7915, but as another poster pointed out, it doesn't want to be recognized in an HP. Currently on hold to find out the next step in returning and getting a working part.

Good solid memory
Pros: Compatibility w. most systems, at a reasonable (for nowadays, anyway) price.
Cons: None that I've found.
Other Thoughts: Put this in a 4-yr-old Dell w. another 256M of old Kingston RAM, no problems whatsoever. What a difference another extra 256MB of RAM makes w. XP, it's like a new machine...

No Dice for HP's
Pros: cheap
Cons: don't work. I tried this ram on an old HP Pavilion 8000 series and could not get it to post afterwards. I guess it just don't like the HP's

# day shipping
Pros: The product works great, I'm very pleased.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I payed for three day shipping and didn't get it for a week. Last time I ordered something from newegg, I got it in two days. I'm just confused as to why I can order less and it take longer.
