Certainly Satisfied.
Pros: - Cheap. $20.99 back in 05/2008. - Given me almost 4 years of flawless service. - Might be bottom-of-the-barrel, but you still get Corsair's track record of reliable and robust memory. - Even at the current $24.99, this DDR2 is still cheaper than regular ol' DDR. Makes me chuckle every time...
Cons: Can't come up with anything that would realistically be a con, considering the nature and purpose of this memory.
Other Thoughts: Doesn't make it into the "high performance" category in any way, but seriously, that's not what you buy this RAM for anyway so how can you consider it a con? I paired this with a Biostar P4M900M4 motherboard (also from Newegg) so I could put my old Skt478 Pentium 4 2.8 back into service.
If all you need is some really cheap memory and things like absurd speed, ultra-low timings, and giant heat-spreaders aren't necessary for your build, this is it.

glad i bought this ram
Pros: Does what it's suppose to. Can get a stable overclock of 280mhz. The price was much cheaper when I bought it. Great for medium-end gaming like HL2 and COD4.
Cons: Was able to overclock to 354mhz a few days ago, but now it blue screens me every time I try. It never said it was a good overclocker... so the 5 eggs still stay.
Other Thoughts: Most likely going to upgrade to GeIL Black Dragon 2GB DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500). I wont be playing anymore GTA IV until I buy that.

Works great - can't beat the price
Pros: Price... It works...
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Dropped one of these into a Dell Dimension that I was repairing. Night and day difference from "stock". Best $13 that ever went into that computer!

Worked great, but had to buy another one
Pros: Worked with the older HP Pavilion a1340n.
Cons: Was not compatible with the other OEM 1 GB memory card already in the PC. This forced me to buy another Corsair memory card to match the first one I bought and to shelf the original OEM stick that came with the PC.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you check your manufacturer's website or do a google on the memory requirements for your PC first. I only found out after buying the first Corsair that it's best to buy the memory in matched sets.

1/2 Ram Recognized by MotherBoard
Pros: Memory functions OK (all 1/2 of it)
Cons: Asus P5VDC-MX motherboard would only recognize 512 meg of the 1gig strip.
Other Thoughts: I have two 1 gig sticks of this memory VS1GB533D2. The 1st stick was purchased several years ago with no issues. It has 16 chips total (double sided 8 each side). I believe this is known as low density memory. The 2nd strip recently purchased is the same part number, but is single sided with 8 chips only (high density). My motherboard only sees 1.5 gig of the 2 gig installed and is very particular about seeing only double sided low density memory. Corsair changed their manufacturing spec for this value ram. Probably a cost saving issue for Corsair. The lesson to be learned here is: do you due-diligence when purchasing ram for motherboard compatibility.

Great Price, but...
Pros: Easy to install. System booted up with no problem. System recognizes and uses the additional memory.
Cons: Adding the additional 1 gig of memory slowed down my system from 5.9 Memory Operations per Second to 4.7!
Other Thoughts: Some of my other research suggests that Memory must be added in pairs, or that all Memory needs to be identical / replaced when adding to a desktop with four slots, and a four gig maximum.

Memory functions as expected
Pros: The memory functioned as expected. Installation was easy. No problems encountered with this product.
Cons: I had to pay money to obtain it.
Other Thoughts: This went into an eMachines desktop with a 2GB limit on the board.

good value and upgrade
Pros: bought 1 stick about two weeks ago and another last week both installed. now two gb of ram, original computer only had 533mb. big difference in speed of computer. much faster and a joy to use. no more waiting. ram sticks performed as stated in other reviews. probably the single most significant upgrade you can make to your computer is adding ram. it's easy, anybody can do it and it's cheap. a win/win situation.
Cons: none so far.
Other Thoughts: service and value is satisfactory at new egg. i like the fact that there was a memory selection menu so i knew what memory sticks to buy. i am not computer savy but with the computer memory menu on the new egg site it was a snap to buy the right memory sticks.

Old Ram
Pros: Bought this ram in 2004... it still works. Perfect for building small systems. I use this in my print server now. It does the job. I payed 35 dollars a piece when I bought it originally though.
Cons: For 13 bucks. Perfect.
Other Thoughts: Well done newegg. Honestly on top of the world as far as electronics go.

Excellent Value
Pros: Exceptional value, reliable upgrade, stellar reputation. Corsair and Crucial are the best RAM suppliers out there in my opinion.
Cons: Only 1 bad stick out of 84 puchased! Hey, it happens. That is a very acceptible failure ratio.
Other Thoughts: If you're going to buy memory, get the best around.

Instant boost
Pros: This is the only card that Newegg has that supports my system, which I'm glad because my motherboard only supports 4GB anyway and I had 2 512 sticks so i would have to buy 4 anyway. I got 8 of these, 4 for me and 4 for my brother. It came up to only about $100 for all 8. I remember when it used to be $80 for one. Anyway, it showed an instant performance boost. Multi-tasking while gaming was tough with 1GB, now it is no problem.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I have Vista 32-bit so I only see about 3.5 GB of the 4GB. But it was so cheap, who cares?

Pros: I have purchased several products from Newegg and have been satisfied. I purchased additional memory for my desktop and it has worked well. My mom's computer was slow so I purchased two 1gb to replace her 512. When first installed, I was impressed by the speed but when I came back to the computer 10 minutes later, it kept attempting to restart without success. I put the old 512 back in and didn't have a problem. I spoke online w/Ashley and we decided to try each stick seperatly to see if one was defective. They both worked alone so I put them both in again. Worked for awhile but did the same again. I am now back to the old 512 with two 1 gb just sitting. It's slow but at least it's working. Very frustrating and out the $27.00.
Cons: Doesn't work in the Compaq Presario SR2150NX it was supposed to according to your website.

Comment on the person whose pc died
Pros: Corsair makes great memory - period.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: To the person who said they installed the memory and the computer died: there was in all likelihood much more going on with that computer and the install of memory had little or nothing to do with its demise. If it were bad or wrong memory, there are warnings.

Good Memory
Pros: My friend helped me put this in my Vista computer. After restarting, I was amazed at how much faster my computer went! It has worked for me for the first month!
Cons: nothing
Other Thoughts: I usually just web-surf and type documents on my computer but I bought this memory mostly to help iTunes speed up a little. It has and ripping/burning CDs is easier now.

Bad cards, killed my computer
Pros: none, and no overall rating
Cons: the memory cards shut down my computer. my computer is completly dead now.
Other Thoughts: I proceed to install both cards, when I start the computer, the monitor was flicking, lots of bips from the tower and suddenly shuts down. My computer is gone so all my files. I'm writing this message from my son's computer. I do not have camera for video review. I just want to know how I can restart my computer

Corsair ValueSelect Memory
Pros: Price was right
Cons: made my computer crash after a couple days
Other Thoughts: Did not show up as 1 GB nor does the product seem to be the same 1 GB stick I ordered from the same page a few months back? Not unhappy with NewEgg as they did not make the memory nor possibly incorrectly package the product. Not worth my time and effort to try and get back $12 either - I recently ordered all new 4 GB worth of memory and instead went with Crucial which I should have done in the first place (from NewEgg of coarse)

Proprietary Motherboards Don't Like It
Pros: Low Price. Easy open Packaging. Easy to install. Works on HP board if it is the only module.
Cons: Does not work on HP board with HP installed Samsung memory that came with the computer.
Other Thoughts: Shipping costs as much as one memory module. 3-Day shipping took 46 hours.

Very good
Pros: This RAM was beyond amazing, i had bought 2 and replaced it with my old ram, and gears of war had ran alot smoother and i could run even the most demanding of programs with little to no difference on how fast my PC ran, besides that... its cheap, and thats the best part
Cons: None at all
Other Thoughts: Once i had installed it, i had to do nothing and it worked right away, and i had no problems with it since i have vista

Pros: Received this order within 10 days, probably sooner if I had checked my mail. My computer only had 512 MB memory, so it was slow when it wanted to be lazy, with 2 GB it flies.Pages load quickly, and ripping a cd takes maybe 2 minutes. I am not that knowledgeable about the inner workings of the computer, I am self taught with lots of help. But if you are looking for additional memory for an excellent price. Go for it. My next project is adding another DVD/CD writer. That should be fun.....
Cons: If at first you don't succeed try again. I told you I am not very knowledgeable, I got the first memory stick in no problem. The second one would clip at the top or the bottom, not both. Then it finally dawned on me I needed to flip it over and put it in the correct way. Went right in first try. DUH!!!!! Hope this helped someone.

Great upgrade!
Pros: Fast, compatible, and the price *is* right.
Cons: None whatsoever!

Pros: Has run very stable for almost two years now with no hiccups (except for a bad hdd sector making me suspicious of it at one point).
Cons: Doesn't come with it's own pirate ship.
Other Thoughts: Corsair is a good brand.

Pros: Cheap
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Havent bought yet. About to in about 5min though. Anyway, just a question for memory master...how long have you worked for said computer repair shop. The "DDR" for memory whether DDR, DDR2, Etc stands for "Double Data Rate" which simply means your 533mhz=266.5 x2. Note that it doesnt always equal the 533 or whatever mhz you buy but its alawys close.

It happened again!
Pros: Cheap Price!
Cons: I work fo a computer repair company and order memory all the time. However what I'm finding is that what you order is not always (especially with memory) what you get! I ordered PC2 4200 (533mhz) and Recieved PC2 4300 (266mhz)! It seems to be a practice I'm finding. And Newegg wants me to pay return shipping and charge me a restocking fee!

How many ways can you spell cheap?
Pros: It's exactly what it says it is. Nothing else. I bought several sticks for some charity machines I was building for a local school.
Cons: Didn't quite fit as well as other ram into the ram slots. Still fit in, but it was a little harder to insert than it should have been. Not a big deal though.

It's Corsair, What Do Expect?
Pros: It's Corsair; Low Cost; High Reliability; Low Heat Output; Good Bang For Your Buck.
Cons: Have Not Come Across Any.
Other Thoughts: I Exclusivly Use Corsair Memory In All Of My Systems, And In My Customers Systems, And Have Been Doing So For Years. It Is The Only Brand Of Memory That I Have Not Had A Single Problem With.
I Recently Paired This Ram With An ASUS M2N-MX SE Motherboard In A Budget Build For A Customer. Installed And Booted Up Without A Hitch. Passed Memtest With Flying Colors. Been Running Strong Ever Since. Of Course I Expect No Less From Corsair.
If This Is The Type Of Ram You Need, Get It.

Awesome RAM
Pros: Great buy for the buck. Had 2 sticks of this on my system now for 4 months and they have performed remarkably well. I use both 64 bit Linux and Windows and its been a real performance boost, much moreso on Linux of course since that OS is much much better at resource management. Definitely recommend!

Ok memory
Pros: Purchased this for a desktop that I use to run 2 VM's. Host PC running Win Xp 64bit, 1 Vm runs Win 2k, other Vm runs Win Xp.
Cons: Probably not your best friend if you require the best. Its just average, nothing special. But no real cons because if you wanted the best, you wouldn't spend the least.
Other Thoughts: For overclockers, this isn't the best model to get. For your everyday Joe who just needs the memory on a pc NOT running 64bit (because you really shouldn't be using 64bit if your not utilizing more then 3.5gb's of ram). then consider this model. Works fine and thats it.

Gets the job done
Pros: For those looking to upgrade on a (mostly) factory built machine, this gets the job done. I had 1GB in there before and was using about half at idle, doubling leaves plenty of memory for gaming and then some.
Cons: didn't come with heat spreaders? Not that heat is an issue, just nice to have something to help keep them cooler in my small case.

Awesome!
Pros: Great price, works like a charm
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I ordered 4 of these, bumping up the RAM on my Dell from 1GB to 4GB, and there's been quite a noticeable improvement in my desktop's speed. Everything opens/runs/closes much faster than before. Also, the new RAM was instantly recognized by my computer, and the installation was a snap. As always, Newegg's service and shipping was excellent.

Great RAM
Pros: Great RAM, increased the speed of my PC by a lot (upgrading from my old 512MB), and the whole upgrade only cost 40 bucks!
Cons: Nothing here.

Works like it should
Pros: It works unlike some other's. Price
Cons: Non I could find.
Other Thoughts: I got this to replace some new ram from another company that went bad after only 4 months of use. I figured I wasn't got to take the chance with that company again so I switched to a better known brand. Corsair continues to live up to it's name in my book. Thanks!

I like this ram, it very nice:D
Pros: It all works, plugged it in and BOOM! It powered my budget machine right up. I got this ram overclocked a little. I ain't quite sure what the frount side bus it. I just know my motherboard overclocks it. It is a great stick of ram. I highly recomend it.
Cons: It could of been buy 1 get 1 free.

Awesome Memory
Pros: Just arrived today, another fast 3rd-day delivery by Newegg/UPS. The installation was an easy snap. The stick increased the total memory of my system from 2 to 3 gigs. It works like a charm.
Cons: I wish it had a heat sink too, just for the looks. Can't be overclocked to over 533Mhz, but you probably won't need to anyway.
Other Thoughts: In my case, about 26% increase in general multitasking capability. It's a Corsair so I know it's made to last. I have one more open slot, so I might order one more soon. Then it'll be time to rig another box.

worth the $$
Pros: How can you go wrong with 1 gig of DDR2 for this cheap. Works great at stock speeds. Good quality.
Cons: Not good for overclocking, but if that is what you want get some DDR800 instead.

Pros: Matched the my brother's dell 9200 perfectly. If anyone knows dells, they know that getting matched pairs are harder than just buying a random stick from your e-store.
Cons: no headspreader for ddr2. oh well. what can you say when it's <20

Excellent Memory
Pros: Inexpensive and works flawlessly
Cons: Doesn't come with heatsinks, but my setup doesn't need them.
Other Thoughts: If this is the speed, size, and type of ram that you need... don't let the low price scare you and buy as many as your computer can take, but don't forget that a 32-bit OS cannot handle 4gb of memory. (I had to return one stick because of my system's limitations)

Pros: Good, reliable RAM for an incredible price.
Cons: It's not DDR2 800? For this price, you can't say anything bad.
Other Thoughts: Corsair ValueSelect is incredible. I use it anytime I need more RAM for a system without wanting to spend much. Most computers in the world don't need the latest, greatest, and fastest RAM, so why spend more for it?
