It's ok
Pros: It supports all the cards that I don't use!
Cons: Fitment is really tight. You need to use forcepower and be dead on accurate when you try to stick a card in the reader. Only lets you use a single card at a time.
Other Thoughts: I don't like the fact that its extremely shallow. A compact flash only goes in about 1/8th its size and that's it. I guess that might just be a personal preference.

Don't Buy
Pros: None
Cons: I fI could give this zero I would. This is very cheaply made. The duo slot reader came with bent pins and some not full seated. Was wondering if it was previously used??? You had to hold the chip down to get it to read. The pins are cheap and easily bent. Of course by the time I actually try the duo slot my 30 days are up. Very disappointed with the gear and my inability to return it.

Almost good
Pros: Many different slots + a USB jack which is nice if your case doesn't have enough front ones. Performance is fine.
Cons: Installation was not fun, the fascia did not line up correctly with the front of my case and I had to use only two screws to have it stick out far enough. The cable to connect to the motherboard is pretty short as well if you plan on doing some cable management, would not recommend for a full size ATX case.
Other Thoughts: Personally I couldn't stand the constant green light on the front that stayed on whenever the computer was on. So I cut the LED lead, another little annoyance.

Just what I needed.
Pros: The USB connection for my camera had broke and this came up on the shell shocker. It has been a very great alternative to buying a new camera.
Cons: I had to sacrifice my front USB slots on my tower to be able to use this.
Other Thoughts: Also make sure you have a slot on your case for this to fit in. I know how you crazy kids like to put hard drives where floppy drives were meant to go!

Slow
Pros: The USB works well.
Cons: I tried to copy some pictures from a microdrive and a XD card. It took over an hour to get the pictures from the microdrive, and my computer stopped responding when trying to get pictures off the XD card. I ended up pulling out an old, but reliable, card reader, and had the pictures off the XD card and onto my computer in a matter of minutes.
Looks like I'll be trashing the Sabrent and will keep the
Other Thoughts: Use your money elsewhere.

Good while it lasted
Pros: Worked fast, lots of slots, usb port.
Cons: sd card is inserted upside down. people using the reader didn't realize that, and must have broken the slot, rendering the only slot in use broken.
Other Thoughts: Still a good usb slot! Pretty red/green lights

Working well so far
Pros: Reliable, fast, inexpensive
Cons: Somewhat cheap construction (common to most products at this price point)
Other Thoughts: I haven't used it heavily but MicroSD functionality is great (just pop in my phone's card to transfer files quickly). Works well in Vista.

Very finicky
Pros: It has tons of card reader ports. USB port works 100% of the time.
Cons: I've heard here and else it's finicky with Win 7 64 bit, and that's what I have. So far, it will only read cards when a USB is also in a slot. Not a big deal, but that shouldn't be the way it is.
Other Thoughts: Dirt cheap, I do wonder why no big company like Sony or Seabring make one of these.

Doesn't work on Win7 64bit
Pros: ONLY the usb did work. didn't come with a driver. tried going to their website - there's only a Vista driver that doesn't work on Win7 64. The retial box states: "Windows 7 compatible", NOT!
Cons: all the rest didn't, 67 out of 68 are not working.
Other Thoughts: any suggestions before I RMA it?

Cheap & works, winXP
Pros: Bought it for HC cards from my phone & digicam. Works & cheap.
Cons: Bright Red LED always on, Green lights turns on as card is inserted. No actual read data LED. Print is too small, hard to read what slot does what but after you use it a few times you'll remember. Wish it had a silver face plate included.
Other Thoughts: Works for me with WinXP Home. Reads the 16GB Transcend SDHC class6 from my digicam & the 8GB microSDHC Sandisk from the cell.

No way to know
Pros: Fits the case well, looks good, long cord
Cons: Connects only to a USB *header*, not a USB port
Other Thoughts: If you have a Dell 8*** or 9***, check your mobo before ordering.
I guess I just misunderstood what this reader should be able to plug into. After searching a while for a free USB header in my system, some googling turned up that many Dell systems don't have this available... so I'm out of luck. Considering buying a 2nd PCI USB 2.0 card (with an available set of header pins) just to support this.... :sigh:

Short Cable for big cases
Pros: - Reads lots of formats - Black - Sits flush in Floppy Bay
Cons: - Feels flimsy - USB header cable is too short for large cases
Other Thoughts: I haven't had opportunity to gauge performance of the reader because I can't hook it up in my case.
I have a Thermaltake Armor case, and this reader fits in the very topmost front panel slot, where a floppy drive would normally be. In this spot, the USB header cable from this reader is too short to reach the USB header interface at the bottom edge of my motherboard. Now I have to either look for a USB header extender cable, or go back to an external unit.
If you have a really large case, you may want to look elsewhere.

Mediocre
Pros: has a lot of usability, no longer have to worry about finding a usb cord or an sd adapter, etc. Just plug anything into this and bam!, instant access.
Cons: Worked great for 2 weeks, then started acting up, wouldn't allow large files to transfer, cards would pop up and then disappear, etc.
Other Thoughts: considering the cost, you can't go wrong, but there are betters out there I'm sure.

Rather cheap
Pros: Fast being UDMA (4?) capable. Looks nice. Easy installation and setup. Worked well enough until I bent it.
Cons: BIG con here. On two of the ports (specifically CF) there isn't a top to the slot. This means that the card isn't fully captured and can EASILY be misaligned. Stick in a misaligned card and you bend pins. I noticed this problem the day I installed it and have been painstakingly careful with it since. 5 months of use and oops, a bent pin. It's now useless for CF cards. I also have issues with SD and Micro SD cards . While they don't have old school pins like CF, these cards don't slide in with a good fit. It leaves you fiddling and flipping the cards to get them to insert properly. It can be maddening.
Other Thoughts: Why does it seem that there aren't any major name brand manufacturers for card readers? Where are Sony, HP, Asus, Samsung etc.? Sure this one only cost 13 bucks, but so what? Now it's dead. I'd rather pay 40 for a high quality piece of equipment. Instead, you get D list cheapies like this.
SABRENT: Is it that tough or that much more expensive to add a fraction of a gram of additional plastic to capture the cards better?

One of the worst readers ever!!!
Pros: None really. Sending back for credit.
Cons: First, when the power on your PC is off, the red light on the reader stays on (annoying). Second, The CF slot/socket is so shallow, when inserting a CF card into the slot, the amount of wobble/lack of straight insertion allows the pins inside to get get bent over. This can render the CF slot useless on the first try. There is also no bottom to the CF slot, allowing for insertion into the slot at an angle which contributes to the pins bending. Poor design!!!

works well
Pros: cheap. bought for micro SD.
Cons: I have to be carefull moving cables in my case, or power can be lost, loose connector inside.
Other Thoughts: can't complain about the price with the minor problem of moving some cables around.

Immediate failure
Pros: Inexpensive.
Cons: Failed the first time I used it. Took it apart and checked the PCB - looks like it shorted out between the USB slot and whichever slot is on the reverse side of the board. It's an $XX part, not worth the time and cost of an RMA. Disappointment, but life goes on.
Other Thoughts: It's possible, I suppose, that the problem is in my motherboard header pins. But I don't think so.

Okay, but fragile CF port
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install.
Cons: SD cards must go in upside down (?). CF slot quit working after a month or so. The CF reader was recognized by the system, but the reader wouldn't read CF cards. Disassembled unit, pushed some pins back in place and straightened some others.
Other Thoughts: Since I use CF cards heavily, I should have gone with a more robust unit. This unit needs a little more physical support for the CF cards within the slot to keep from bending the pins, or misaligning the card and pushing the pins back.

Pros: The usb port worked and that was it
Cons: None of the card ports would read but they would all light up, only the usb port would work. I spent $7 on shipping it back to newegg so I lost a lot of money.
Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for in this case

2 Years And Still Going Strong
Pros: Still working great after 2 years. Started with Windows XP, then Vista and now Windows 7. Hasn't missed a beat. It's stable, it's fast. It simply works.
Cons: None really. Just a small irritation with the fact the at least the SD card has to be inserted upside down.
Other Thoughts: If I were to buy another one, I'd go for one with additional USB ports.

Works Fine On Win 7 x32 but not x64
Pros: Works Great on Windows 7 x32 I bought this to replace a 5 year old memory card reader Windows 7 would not recognize when I upgraded. No drivers to install. The OS does it automatically. I tried it with a Memory Pro Duo, Full Size SD and A Micro SDHC Memory Card (with and without adapters) and it read them the first time I put each in (These are the only 3 cards I use). Even the USB port worked. Snug fit. Easy to put cards into and out of their respective slots. I was real happy the unit had it's own Micro Memory card slot. This will came in real handy. Easy install, flush finish. The thing I like best about the device is nothing appears in MY COMPUTER until you insert a memory card.
Cons: I tried this in my other computer with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and it was hit and miss on wether it would read a memory card. Very irratic performance. I never knew for sure if the OS would detect the memory card. I gave it 5 eggs beacuse it worked great in Windows 7 x32 computer.
Other Thoughts: Could be made a little sturdier. I was expecting something a little more heffty. The hookup cable comming out of the back could be a little longer. Not a problem with my mid tower case but could be an issue with a bigger/taller case.

Nifty
Pros: I run windows 7 and had no issues detecting the device, but i have heard on other OS's it can be difficult. I love it. it is small fast and convenient
Cons: only a few, 1.) the red light stays on at all times, mildly annoying but i have a door on my case so not too bad
2.) the micro SD Card reader doesn't seem to work, first it ate the card and i had to disassemble the darn thing to get the card back and second it never read.
3.) the device seems to have no method of preventing you from inserting the card too far and this seems like an easy fix and a slight hazzard
Other Thoughts: I think with a little work Sabrent could make this a fantastic product; however, at this time i will use the term nifty

Works as a reader, but hard to get SD cards in and out
Pros: Reads many different kinds of cards.
Cons: Slots are not designed well and it is very difficult to get SD cards in and out. Has a red LED as the power indicator on the front that doesn't go off when the computer is shut down. For the LED to go off I'd have to disconnect the power or turn off the power supply.
Other Thoughts: I have several card readers by different manufacturers and this is the first one that I have had that has been disappointing. I don't want a card reader to be a hassle and since I use SD cards more than any other card that is the one that I would want to be the easiest one to get my cards in and out of but it is a struggle to get the card in and out easily. I think I'll pull one of my card readers off of one of my old machines and toss this one.

Works Great
Pros: Works great.
Full plug and play support for Ubuntu and Win7 x64. Reads every SCHD card I have put in and supports USB 2.0 transfer speeds to a MyBook plugged in to the USB port.
The connection cable is clear plastic and shows off the braided shield cable underneath.
Cons: None noted.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to friends and family.

Won't read CF on Win7 64bit
Pros: Works fine for SDHC, "feels" fast enough
Cons: Red Power light is on all the time, even when computer is in standby. In Windows 7 64bit, it will not read my CF card. The slot is also *very* tight, I had to force the card and check to make sure internal pins didn't get bent in the process.
Other Thoughts: Look elsewhere if you think you may ever use CF, even if on a 32bit system, you may need a rubber mallet to tap the dam card in.

Junk
Pros: ?
Cons: Bought this thing 10 months ago. It went in the trash a few minutes ago. Goofy red light never goes off. SD slot never worked from day one but that was a minor inconvenience since I mostly use old tech CF cards. CF slot quit working about two weeks ago. Now it's worthless.
Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. My advice steer clear of this item.

Does not work with 64-bit Vista or Windows 7

Does NOT work with Vista 64-bit
Pros: It fit in my computer. It works with Vista 32-bit (which I do not have).
Cons: Does not work with Vista 64-bit (which I do have). I installed the device and it would show up in Windows Explorer, but when I would insert a perfectly functional SD Card, Vista would tell me that I had to format the Card. Then I would try to format it, and Vista would not let me. Anyhow, I ended up uninstalling it and then taking it to my cousin's house. I installed it in his Vista 32-bit machine and it worked like a champ right away.
Other Thoughts: I bought an external card reader (Kingston) and it works great! Yee-haw!

Pros: Doesn't seem to be USB 2.0 speeds... very slow in fact. I tried an updated driver from the manufacture website, and it wouldn't install. I've already removed the unit from my machine. No point in sending it back for a $12 part.
Cons: Poor quality

It works
Pros: Simple to install and it works: SD card, xD picture card. Not sure about the floppy as I have to purchase the cable for that.
I read other reviews that said the cable came disconnected to read the cards so it had to be reattached manually for it to function. Luckily mine didn't come detached.
Cons: It didn't come with the cable for the floppy so I have to buy one.
Other Thoughts: I give it a 3 because of no cable for the floppy. No where does it say in the description of this product that it does not include the floppy cable. Make sure you have a 34 pin cable if your going to get this product. You get what you pay for, maybe that's why it's so inexpensive.

Not Good
Pros: Long cable to accommodate huge tower.
Cons: Extremely cheaply made and put together. On mine (not sure if others have had this issue), the SD/MMC slot and the Micro SD slot are on the same wire/line/drive. I found this out the hard way. I had an SD card with pictures inserted, which read fine. I then inserted a Micro SD card but no data was being read. It boils down to this: You can have either a Micro SD card OR a regular SD card inserted and it will read/write data fine. If you put an SD card AND a Micro SD card at the same time, the one you put in FIRST will be the only one you can read/write from. In regards to the other card slots, I've only tested out the MS (MemoryStick) card slot which works fine. I have not tested the other slots.
Other Thoughts: Previous reviews are mostly correct. First thing I did was open it to check cable (as others have suggested). Cable was attached, however, you do need to make a knot in the cable to prevent an accidental pull-out. For me, I really needed a card reader asap and spending ~$14 from NewEgg to get one wasn't a big deal. The two-egg rating is mainly for NewEgg processing my order quickly and efficiently. There's no jumping for joy over this product. It's works in a pinch if that's all you need.

Great, but not so great
Pros: Cheap and many connections for a card reader. Works with Windows 7
Cons: Look, this is not well built. My micro SD once got stuck in the slot because it went too far inside, but after i got it out, the slot still worked. USB (which is upside down) will go to sleep if not used, to wake it up you need insert a card (SD, etc).
Other Thoughts: pretty fast speed, just kind of badly bult. the USB sleep gets kind of annoying.

Pros: detected all without a hitch on both Vista and 7 (dual boot), much better than having a big empty space where a floppy drive would have been.
Cons: didn't fit straight into my case, had to muscle it down a little bit which leaves a bit of breathing room on the underside of card reader, which very well could be the case's drawback, being as I've only ever had this in that bay. the red light that never turns off doesn't bother me enough to really deduct from the overall experience of the reader- if it really bothered me I'd cover it.
Other Thoughts: quick and cheap, kind of wish it had a second USB instead of a micro SD slot, but being as I can't find my adapter for my micro it's not all bad.

Nice little multi-card reader
Pros: Haven't found a card yet that doesn't work in this. USB has it's own port, not shared with card readers. Mostly sealed enclosure, won't collect dust in the slots.
Cons: Windows assigns a drive letter to the major card reader slots. I have 4 drive letters that are taking up space in the removable storage category. USB port upside down. Cards are a little tricky to figure out how to put in at first.
Other Thoughts: With the USB port upside down, I wasn't sure about the rest of the flash card slots. They seem to be orientated properly. Might try and see about turning it around when I get the chance. There is a red LED that is on ALL the time. I am guessing it's fed power from the standby +5V from the PSU. Second, green, LED when a card is inserted.

These don't work
Pros: MicroSD slot - no need for an adapter
Cons: Didn't work
Other Thoughts: A previous model of this card reader (bought 5 months ago) was the cause of extremely slow USB speeds across my entire system. I decided to give them another try since the updated model had a MicroSD slot. As soon as I plugged it in, Windows said the device had malfunctioned and the only slot that worked was the USB port. I've had good luck with Sabrent products until now.

Works and Worth the Buy
Pros: Does exactly what i need it for, reading cards. I am running windows 7 64bit and it installed no problem and everything is running fine, no carshes or errors.
Cons: It did have a small gap all around the slot about 1/16 of and inch, but since its just cosmetic i wont give an egg for that
Other Thoughts: Decent and a nice buy for the price

Can't Beat it for the price
Pros: Cheap and does what it needs to do. I saw a review about making sure it was plugged in inside. Mine was so I guess I lucked out. I havent had any problems at all. It reads and writes well.
Cons: The case does look a little cheaply made but id is holding up and i haven't had any problems. There was a slight gap around the bezel as well. Nothing to take an egg off. It does not affect the performance whatsoever
Other Thoughts: It did what I needed and I haven't had any problems. It is worth it for under $15

Easy to Install and Use
Pros: Supports many new and old card slots, only one usb plug for your motherboard, gives you an extra usb port for the front of your computer.
Cons: Annoying plastic wrap around the shell which takes a while to remove.
Other Thoughts: Red LED light stays on even if your computer isn't on, which I thought was strange...It doesn't help much...otherwise, this is a great card reader for XP MCE 2005.

Nice Price
Pros: Cheap, looks good!
Cons: - Had to really manipulate the cable inside box - thanks someone who pointed the "trick" here; - Had to unplug from usb to install winXP.. thought future purchasers might want to know too.
Other Thoughts: tested an 2GB SD memory - worked; forgot to try the SDHC16GB.. oh well. Gave it to a friend.

works fine but causes boot delay
Pros: works ok, got driver from Sabrent website and now it identifies what drive letter is for which card slot, which is nice; had it a few months before I realized a special driver was available.
Cons: causes slow XP boot. When it's plugged in, there's about a 1 or 2 minute blank screen after a "verifying DMI pool data" message, then it boots normally. Leaving it unplugged for now. As far as I can tell, I've got all my mobo drivers (Zotac N73U) updated so I'm stumped.

SABRENT CRW-UINB 68-in-1 USB 2.0 Internal Card Reader w/ USB 2.0 Port
Pros: I used this to replace my original media panel with a bad USB port from being used constantly. It fits into a 3.5" bay with no problems. Hooked up to my Gigabyte MB with no problems. Vista detected all the slots with no problems. Pretty easy and quick install. Took me all of 10 minutes.
Cons: Red LED light that is constantly on. But since my case has a sliding media cover, it isn't that much a big deal. Not sure why it's even needed as my old panel didn't have one. Instructions are worthless if you would need to use them.
Other Thoughts: Pretty cheap and installs without a hitch. I'd have no problems buying another.

Some problems; however, it's cheap.
Pros: It's cheap.
Cons: I bought this component for my aunt and she accidentally put her camera memory into the wrong slot and the memory fell into the card reader; I had to take it out of the computer in order to get it out.
Sometimes she has to jiggle the card in the reader to get it working.

Pros: It's a standard size internal card reader. Vista Ultimate 64bit recognized it without any problem. So far, it's seem to be working great.
Cons: Can't say any bad about it since i havn't really use it.
Other Thoughts: purchased this card reader to replace a floppy drive spot in my DeLL Studio 540s.

Okay product
Pros: It was a great price, it IS like a small radiator, very heavy I was wondering about if it would damage or snap my mobo buy it didn't, and i never read anyone else with that issue, so i'm just new and haven't ever seen one this large before. Easy install, great solid product, nothing wiggles or shakes, q9550 running idle 33-36 stock and oc to 1600fsb runs 39-42 idle. High sixties under load,
Cons: Very large, I have case CM 690 and it fits. I did not have to remove anything either from my mobo to make this fit, which is a GOOD thing. 790i ultra
Other Thoughts: I'm glad I purchased this product, I feel ONLY with the rebate it's a competitively priced product (for what it is) and I'm satisfied

worth it!!
Pros: use it for my PNY 4GB SDHC card, and my PNY 1GB MicroSD card. works great
Cons: i have to put the cards in upside down, label facing down.. weird. also doesn't feel nice and smooth when i put them in, more like sandpaper. the card reader is also covered in some really cheap protective plastic that is annoying to get off.
Other Thoughts: my case is a Xion Onyx which has a door so i don't mind the power or activity leds. the cord coming from the reader is indeed a bit loose, simply take the cover off and push it in more and you're good to go.

DOA
Pros: It was cheap. Newegg was quick to offer a refund
Cons: It was completely broken
Other Thoughts: I opened the reader case and saw the usb cable was completely connected. I tried plugging it in to each of the usb controllers on my motherboard with no success. The interior is really cheap...just a small board attached directly in to the metal casing. Using a volt meter and soldering is where i draw the line on how much I'm willing to fix a product and risk not being able to return it.
Also, it's meant for a 3.5" bay that comes with no 5" bay adapter.
Btw, you know that thing similar to a nail that gets twisted or driven in to wood or metal? Newegg's filter won't let me type it because it is deemed inappropriate.

Not Impressed
Pros: Sometimes works. Has front USB access. Cheap.
Cons: SD slot doesn't always recognize the card. I have tried multiple cards (both SD and SDHC) and all cards work sometimes, don't work other times. CF card is hard to get in straight, the guides don't seem to work very well.
Other Thoughts: I will probably be replacing this.

Close, but no cigar
Pros: NO problems with installation, except that the case may be 1/128th" too large, but forced it in anyways without incident.
Advertises "SMART MEDIA" as well as 68 types of cards on the back of the box, but lets see...
Cons: Shows pic of SM card on the box, NOWHERE TO PUT IT INTO.
"68 types of media cards". Just a lie.
Other Thoughts: SM was the only reason I bought this unit, and its the ONLY card it DOESNT take.
It even shows a color picture of the SM card, but the only slot that is big enough for it is the CF/MD slot, which does NOT take my card! I'm looking at the box right now. Thanks alot, another CR.AP product from China. Is that country all full of liars?

Nice Buy
Pros: Very simple to install. Hooks right up to a USB header. As for performance, have not tried it yet. Looks great. matches my case. It costed $11. Can't go wrong.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Didn't know if I needed/wanted this. Main reason is I didn't want to hook up the digital camera or camcorder via ugly and messy usb cables. The price was the only reason I did it. I figured if it was a mistake, it was a cheap one.

Maybe I just have bad luck...
Pros: It was easy to install (kind of)
My memory stick pro duo worked perfectly with it.
Worked (sort of) with Windows 7 without drivers
Cons: SD and MicroSD slots didn't work. Considering that that's mostly what I'd use it for, this was a big let down.
Didn't fit correctly in my case. It could be pushed back with just a bit of force.
Annoying red LED that stays on, even when the computer is off
Other Thoughts: I would not recommend buying this.

Not Worth The Time
Pros: Inexpensive. Many slots.
Cons: CF slot is not deep enough to allow you to align to the pins. If your CF card is off by a few degrees, the pins int he slot will get damaged.
The SD slot accepts SD cards with the label down (upside down) while the other cards are to be inserted label up.
The microSD slot share's the same drive letter as the SD slot therefore you cannot rename the drives separately.
Red LED light is always on...misleading.
Other Thoughts: Some external USB readers are faster than this device and portable.

Get what you pay for
Pros: It reads memory cards
Cons: The build of the unit seems pretty cheap. None of the seams on the casing match up flush. Also, the holes on the side that are used to secure the unit in the case seem to be non-standard. They did not match up with any of the brackets for either of my tool-less cases.
Other Thoughts: Luckily I don't rely on the card reader much, it's more of a convenience for when I need it. I would not recommend this reader if you intend on installing it into a tool-less case as the brackets for 3.5" devices will likely not match up to the holes on this reader.

At least the USB works
Pros: The USB works.
Cons: The micro SD slot does not work at all. Everything else on the card may be working one minute and out the next. I have checked the wiring inside the card reader and it is connected perfectly, so I have no clue why the reader is doing this.
Other Thoughts: I will be returning this to Newegg.

Worked for a while...
Pros: I was very happy with this when I first got it. I purchased it for a new build in an Antec P182 case. It was a really tight fit, but I eventually got it installed. Worked flawlessly for about 2 months.
Cons: After 2 months, it quit recognizing MS Duo cards. The light comes on when the card is inserted, but Windows XP does not recognize that there is anything in the drive.
Other Thoughts: Still trying to decide if it's worth the hassle of getting it out of the case, opening it up and checking the wires and pins as other reviewers have done, or just spend the $25 for a better reader. The thought of trying to jam it back into the case again is not particularly appealing.

Good for the Price
Pros: Works in Windows 7 RC1.
Recognizes all the cards I've put in (CF, SD, Micro SD, SDHC) without any trouble.
Cons: Red LED always being on is annoying. Would dock another egg for it if I didn't have a door to the case.
Feels flimsy in my hand and the plastic coating on the drive just seemed wrong.

Disappointingly cheap
Pros: * Vista and Windows7 compatible * Has a USB port in addition to card reader ports
Cons: * Very cheaply built (see notes) * Misleading specifications?
Other Thoughts: I bought this (obviously) as a floppy drive alternative to some new boxes I was building for my primary employer. I buy these kinds of things all the time but this is my first time buying the Sabrent brand as I thought I'd save a little $. Clearly you get what you pay for here so I suppose I should've known better. The case is very cheaply made and it was actually too large to fit into the floppy bay of my new tower boxes. I tested a normal floppy drive just to make sure the towers were made to specification and it fit just fine. I ended-up having to disassemble the case for the Sabrent device to make it fit in the computer tower.
I haven't tested it fully but looking at the front of it, I have great difficulty imagining how it would work for 68 different card types (?). I think the specification might be a little misleading.
Next time I'll pay $20-$25 for a better one. It's worth it.

good features if it worked
Pros: supports a lot of types of memory and can transfer in between them without putting something on the hard drive.
Cons: SD card didn't fit into the slot the first time I tried it. It was such a tight fit that it was sliding the lock switch.
The screw holes were off from my case. I had it up as far as it would go and it still has a small gap.
The red light is on all of the time to show power, but the green one only comes on when I put in a card to show that it is reading the card. When I go to open up the files, there is nothing. I can't get it to read SD.
The SD card had to be jammed into the slot in the first place. After a while, it went in more easily. I also wish that it would go in a bit farther, it sticks out and if I were to bump it with my foot, I could break the SD card right off of the computer.
Other Thoughts: I don't know about you, but I'm going to upgrade to a higher quality card reader. I've wasted my money. I'm not sure if it is even worth shipping back. I've had it in my PC for a few weeks already and haven't needed to use it. It was more for convenience than for necessity.

crashes computer
Pros: Cheap, supports high capacity SD 2+ gigs.
Cons: Every few days when plugging in a usb device or inserting a card, it crashes the computers usb controller and the computer has to be restarted. Windows will suddenly report that all devices are malfunctioning.
Other Thoughts: I would not recommended this model to anyone, and i am considering buying a different one to replace this as the crashing issue is getting annoying.

It works with Windows 7 64-bit
Pros: It works well with Windows 7 64-bit right out of the box without having to do anything at all.
It handles SDHC cards.
You can hardly beat the low price (for something that actually works like this little sucker actually does).
Cons: The internal USB header connector cable is a bit short. Would be better if it was longer. But you can just buy a internal internal USB header cable extender if you need to / want to. If you do, then be sure to get the 10-pin type extender.
Other Thoughts: I use it to read and write SD and SDHC cards only. I haven't tried any of the other slots, so I can't intelligently comment on how well they work (or don't work as the case may be for all I know - sorry).
This thing actually uses two internal USB ports. I guess that one is for the card reader functions and the other is for an actual USB port which is right next to the card reader slots. I really wanted only the card reader slots and didn't need or want yet another front panel USB port, but whatever. Likely easy enough to "fix" if desired by using a 5-pin internal USB cable extender and ignoring the other five pins. In my case I happened to have two internal USB ports available with nothing better to use them on so no problem.

like it needs another good review...
Pros: This box is great. it has an indicator right on the face to let you know you plugged something in/ and did it right. really nice for multiple card types usb2 support is always a plus. then it's got the passthrough so if you didn't have usb on the front before, you do now!
Cons: I can't think of anything, but if I do, I'll buy another one just to write a review.

A Very Good Buy!
Pros: Very good price. Installation was a breeze. The system had no problems recognizing the card reader and it works as expected. The attached cable was more than sufficent in length to reach the bottom of the tower where I had a PCI USB 2.0 card installed.
Cons: The case seems a little flimsy, but once installed it's never seen inside the tower. Considering the price, I can live with it.
Other Thoughts: I had this shipped using NewEgg's "saver" postal rate and assumed it would have been shipped in a small carton. I received the card reader along with the PCI USB 2.0 card in a bubble envelope. Probably not the best choice of a shipping container on NewEgg's part as the boxes for both items looked like someone sat on them. Fortunately there was no major damage although there could have been. It's something to consider when choosing the lowest possible shipping rate.

Flaky
Pros: SDHC, microSDHC, and CF support.
Cons: Worked great when I first got it. After a few weeks the drive started losing connection on the USB port (maybe with the cards as well). If I had a USB flash drive connected to it, it would sometimes pause for about a second during file copies, but wasn't really noticeable unless you were really paying attention.
However, it was unusable with my iPhone because it would lose connection and have to re-connect (canceling any transfer). About every 30 to 90 seconds my system would say my iPhone was disconnected then reconnected. I RMAed the first one after about two weeks and the second one started doing the same thing after about 3 weeks.
One of the pins for the CompactFlash card slot bent and is now unusable. I'm very gentle when inserting and removing cards, so I suspect the pin was partially bent when I receveived it. I have had several CF readers and never damaged a pin until now.

Worthless
Pros: None whatsoever.
Cons: This is absolute garbage, which is where it is right now. I guess you get what you pay for with card readers. Cheap design and not the easiest installation in an Antec 900. Going to pick out a different brand/size.
Other Thoughts: Go with something else.

Excellent Card Reader
Pros: USB, XD, SD, USB 2.0... The list goes on, price point, this thing takes MICRO SD flash drives!!!, Ease of installation, Got it in two days, way to go Newegg.com!!!
Cons: NONE!
Other Thoughts: I like the fact that the unit has the ability to accept file transfers from a Micro SD. I dedicated a Bluetooth adapter to the USB 2.0 port.

Pros: Seemed to be about the best of a lost of mediocre options.
Cons: Slow transfer speeds.
Other Thoughts: Shows up in "My Computer" as four devices labeled "Removable Disk." I can never remember which one is for which slot(s). I guess this was to keep driver requirements down but it would be much nicer to have a useful label. Better yet, have nothing in "My Computer" at all until something is plugged in, then appear with a useful label sorta like when I attach a USB drive.

Good reader for the price
Pros: Reads cards Inexpensive Works well as far as I can tell
Cons: -Sort of ugly looking, also the white font does not look the best. If you have a cool black case, this doesn't look too classy -Red LED always on -MicroSD and SD slots cannot be used simultaneously: they share a single drive letter
Other Thoughts: Four drive letters show up in the OS. It would have been great if only the slots with cards in them showed up.

Could be faster
Pros: it claims to read a bunch of cards that I will never use. fits into the small spot on the top of my case. one cable to connect them all.
Cons: Stupid slow at transferring. "Download pictures via USB 2.0 high-speed transfer rate up to 480Mbits/sec " Here is where I am confused. Mbits. So I am thinking 60MBs transfer speed. Should have looked at this before I ordered. I have several high speed USB devices I use such as CF cards (300x) for photos and a 300x 16gig USB drive. These all transfer faster in other USB ports I have. When the camera is connected it imports the photos faster than when I put the CF card into the reader!
Other Thoughts: the main reason I got this was so that I didn't have to drag my whole camera and USB cables out of the bag to import photos. While this is convenient because I use a number of CF cards I use. If you need a fast transfer speed like I do then look for another reader and make sure that it is the speed you want.

Mine Works Fine
Pros: Very Cheap but mine works awesome so far.
Many people are dinging this for the always on red light. In my opinion it looks great with the red lighting on my CM Storm Scout case.
If this item keeps working like it has been so far, this is definately a great buy.
Cons: Uses a USB motherboard header, but most do.
Other Thoughts: Looks really good in my CM Storm Scout Case

Cheap junk
Pros: Clean design. Simple installation.
Cons: Cheap build. CP/MD card slot has no guides. One of the pins were bent upon arrival. Straightening it out only made it weaker. Later it broke off but not until 2 other pins bent too.
Other Thoughts: Replaced it with the Koutech IO-RCM620.

Works
Pros: Works fine, nice and cheap, easy install, Vista recognized it immediatly so that was good.
Cons: Someone else mentioned the light staying on, i totally agree, but it only bothers me wen i forget to close the door on the tower at night.
Other Thoughts: I like things that are cheap and get the job done this is a good example.

Terrible
Pros: Didn't make my cancer any worse
Cons: First of all, it was a big pain to install and I ended up slicing my hand up, but that was mostly due to my not being used to the new case I have. After finally getting the thing in and connected, It wasn't detected at all by Windows XP. It also somehow caused one of my front USB ports to stop working and shorted out my flash drive and external hard drive.

Works Fine
Pros: Worked fine, reads all sorts of cards, gives you an extra usb, looks factory on a black computer.
Cons: Came with unit wrapped by cellophane sheet, couldnt decide if that was supposed to be removed before install, but I think that is what was holding the cover on, no screws.
