Great Monitor
Pros: Great monitors, specially for the price, this is the third Acer flat panel I've boughten in the past 4 months and all three of them work flawlessly. The ghosting in games is a lot better than many panels I've seen and they are nice and bright. All in all a good buy
Cons: None, its an Acer
Other Thoughts: Well Acer goes for the best bang for the buck, so if your looking for a monitor that looks pretty when its off, pick something else.

Good Deal
Pros: Great Screen. Great Price
Cons: 1 dead pixel. screen wobbles alot on a surface that wiggles at all - the base is connected at the very bottom of the back of the screen comprimising the stability slightly

Pros: Clear picture, solid design, wide base so you don't have to worry about balance.
Cons: The auto-adjust feature is a little annoying if you're alt-tabbing out of a game or full-screen programs.
Other Thoughts: Auto-adjust feature should be optional. Unless I didn't look around enough.

Pros: Bought 4 monitors for the office. They work great. No complains at all.
Cons: Not a very stylish monitor.
Other Thoughts: Wish the price was a little less, considering the specials on other widescreens.

Awesome!
Pros: No dead/stuck pixels, viewable area is basically on par with a 21" CRT, 8ms=no ghosting in gaming, capable of being *very* bright (first thing you should do is turn it down!).
Cons: Stand is a bit hard to adjust vertically (requires more than just regular pliers -- so much trouble, I've decided against it). My only small picky thing is the dot-pitch; a 17in would obviously look better, but that is the tradeoff for a large viewable area! It only accentuates jaggies in games, although 2xAA (and especially 4xAA) combats it well enough.
Other Thoughts: If this is your first time with DVI, be aware that the long pin may not align perfectly with the female socket -- you may need to nudge it with a hard object a bit to center it slightly. LCDs still can't beat nice CRTs, but they are definitely capable of doing the job they are intended for. Don't worry about ghosting problems, since there are none (I've played lots of BF2/Q4/CSS and it's fine!).

Monitor went dead i n6 months
Pros: Fairly decent video quality for the price.
Cons: Monitor started flashing the power button green LED and wont come up.
Other Thoughts: Tried just about anything one can think of. Different computers, power strips, etc. no dice. Go with a N**, have had those for years - not a problem.

Great Buy but takes too long to warm up
Pros: Excellent resolution and contrast. This monitor is even brighter than I expected/wanted. Perfect for Windows Vista Aero and any kind of gaming. Newegg also never disappoints; I got the display in about one day and in great condition.
Cons: My main concern is that the ACER logo comes up for several seconds every time the display turns on and the display has to auto adjust itself every time. Easier to just leave it on and put the computer to sleep. Easy with Vista since it's an OS made for sleeping judging by their start menu. Doesn't turn on its stand. You need to turn the whole base to turn it around.
Other Thoughts: Overall a great display for an unbeatable price. Newegg still the best.

Excellent Value
Pros: Very good monitor for the price. I went from a 17" CRT to this and I am simply amazed at the quality. No dead pixels, bright, crisp colors.
Cons: Only one con, Wish I had a bought one sooner.
Other Thoughts: Excekkent buy. I would highly recommend this LCD to anyone

Quite happy
Pros: Very good visibility and contrast. Nice colors.
Cons: Would have liked to have a digital input, but it wasn't essential this purchase. Height adjustment would also be nice.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm very satisfied. I've had no problems with it, pixels included, for a year now.

Great monitor
Pros: No dead pixels. Although i didnt like the picture at first, i played around with the controls and its beautiful. Excelent price. no regrets
Cons: monitor is kinda wobbly by the way it rests on the stand but thats only a problem if u try and move it around alot. If your trying to wall mount it [which i was planning on at first] i couldnt remove the back arm that slides onto the base (easily), so this isnt great for mounting i guess.
Other Thoughts: Great monitor for the price. i have no regrets. would buy another one.
I dont review things unless i love them or hate them. This i thought was definitly worth reviewing because buying monitors are always a pain. Look no furthur if money is an issue, this will do that job just fine!

Disatisfied
Pros: It worked, for 3 days. Because its an LCD, small use of deskspace.
Cons: Had visable color problems. Middle of the screen was lighter than the edges, broke within first weak.
Other Thoughts: Sent it back to NewEgg, said it was out of stock, got my refund, and got a much better (plus its 22") ViewSonic monitor. Love it so much better !

Works Fine
Pros: Excellent monitor. Actually purchased it for my dad and he has loved the change from an old 15" CRT.
Cons: Died about 2 and half months into it. Contacted Acer and they arranged a return shipping. Got the new monitor from them in less than two weeks.
Other Thoughts: Second monitor has worked great. Not sure what happened to the first but Acer was excellent with support.

Stay away from Acer
Pros: Nice profile, price is super low, fairly slick looking. Looked decent while it worked!
Cons: Died on me after 5 months. About a month ago it would occasionally blink out for a few seconds and come back on, as if the computer went into hibernation while I was working (it wasn't). Knew this was a bad sign. Last night I stepped out to get dinner, came back and it was dead. I figured the price was too low for a great monitor, and I was right.
The viewing angle also wasn't great for me. I had to prop a CD case under the flimsy stand to get a nice bright picture at my eye-level.
Other Thoughts: I'd stay away from Acer and go with Viewsonic or Chimei (look it up) rather than risk the money.

Pros: big flat panel monitor for that price. my neighbors probably think it is a tv but nope its a pc monitor.
Cons: 1 dead pixel on arrival. But you can hardly see it you must really focus on it to be able to see it.
Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks!!

Outstanding!
Pros: Quick arrival.Wasn't in 3 days, but I ordered on a Sunday, and received it Friday in excellent condition! Right out of the box the "cool" setting was perfect for me. This puts by 15" CRT to shame! No dead pixels, quick to set up.
Cons: I don't have any!
Other Thoughts: This was my first trip to NewEgg. I'll be back for sure!

Great picture, flimsy stand
Pros: The picture is fantastic, it's sharp and clear; the size is more than enough for the average gamer.
Cons: The stand is very flimsy. Do not use this unless you will have a very sturdy desk on which to put it. Movement can very easily turn it over.
Other Thoughts: The monitor is attatched to the base by four plastic snaps. It is thin plastic and can be easily broken. Be careful with this monitor.

Good buy
Pros: No dead pixels. easy setup. Overall good clarity at specified res.
Cons: slight blead in corners, Expected from a cheap monitor.
Other Thoughts: I'v installed 14 of these in my company office with none having dead pixels. 6 of which are set up in dual screen configurations. Good overall monitor. I would recommend.

Pros: Awesome picture, no dead pixels, fits with 3 mm of room left from the top of the screen in my desk! *whew*
Cons: No DVI input, but comes with connectors for change...so no problemo
Other Thoughts: Dang good big monitor for games and video.

Perfect
Pros: Crystal clear, no dead pixels, the cord has a good length to it (although i have a somewhat small desk so subject to change), and fast delivery (got it two days before expected).
Cons: As some others have said, it would've been nice to have more adjustability to it, but it doesn't bother me at all.
Other Thoughts: Well worth the price. I would recommend this monitor to those looking for an affordable 19" LCD.

I like it
Pros: No dead pixels. Very clear display although settings may need tweaked. All you see is the screen, the edges are very thin.
Cons: Would be nice if it had and adjustable stand and a DVI port. The verticle viewing angle from a downward angle is less than I would like, but it forces me to sit up a little more in my chair so I guess it's not so bad for me.
Other Thoughts: I have 2 of them, one of them came very clear out of the box, the other was dark and needed adjustment.

Great in every way.
Pros: Cheap and clear. What else is there to say. I just put a couple books underneath it and it's the perfect height.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: When buying this monitor, people know there's no DVI, so stop complaining about it.

Good Cheap Monitor
Pros: I jus tgot this monitor today thnx to newegg with the fast processing and shipping. It works great plugged it in and started up fine color is warmer than im used to but great color none-the-less.
Cons: At first i didnt think that it would matter without height adjustment but it sits lower than other monitors, so for my duel setup this one is about a 1/4" lower.
Other Thoughts: Great monitor, no dead pixels, cheap and hopefully it last for a while.

no good
Pros: the desktop appearance is attractive and the price is low
Cons: the whole screen has a blocky appearance and I cannot clear it up for anything, no dvi port and the base cannot be easily removed for wallmount
Other Thoughts: if the resolution was about 4 times higher I would buy again.

completely satisfied
Pros: no dead pixels! uses every one bit of the screen automatically, there is no awkward resizing, shifting, or shaping. after comparing my old 15" crt my brother called it a +4 monitor of sight. 19" is a lot. the focus is on the screen not the casing, because the edges around the screen are diminuitive, not like others where you have about 4" of plastic case on each side of the screen.
Cons: some people say you need to be able to ajdust the height, and i agree, but i make do with an old calculus book. i'm a college student, i've become very resourcefull. the tilt of the screen allows for comfortable viewing at almost any height though.

NewEgg Made it right
Pros: Great price. Large, bright screen. Major step up from a 17" CRT.
Cons: Had to send to ACER for repair right out of the box. Base very hard to remove, requires 4 hands.
Other Thoughts: Out of the box the monitor did not work. Directed to ACER for warranty repair. Three weeks after purchase the monitor was returned repaired. ACER was easy to work with and NewEgg provided an immediate purchase credit and an additional credit for a future purchase. Excellent way to keep a customer returning.

Very satisfied!
Pros: Fast, clear, great colors, easy to use setup menu + auto feature
Cons: No DVI input, 1280x1024 resolution, not much in terms of positioning
Other Thoughts: I have finally gave up on my huge and bulky 21" CRT and bought my first LCD. At first, I was a little concerned about switching to lower resolution (from 1200x1600) and to smaller screen size, but most of all I was concerned about color depth (photography is a hobby of mine).
This monitor is superb for its price. No flicker, great colors, very space-saving compared to my old CRT, and playing UT2004 on full settings I notice no ghosting (watching movies is also amazing - everything is clear and sharp). No dead pixels either. Of course, if you need things like DVI, better swiveling angles or 90 degree rotation, you'll have to pay more money. But I don't need those feature, thus this monitor is excellent for me.

Can't Complain
Pros: Good picture quality, no dead pixels, bright screen, and all that at a good price.
Cons: The base could be less flimsy but its not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: If you want an inexpensive 19" LCD that performs well and you don't mind the lack of DVI then this monitor is a good choice.

Fast Shipment - Nice Monitor
Pros: Very fast shipment, got it the second day after ordering. Nice monitor, it was easy to hook it up and get going. Replaced an old 19" CRT and am really liking the 1200 X 1024 resolution. Lots more real estate to use when opening multiple windows and the picture is really crisp.
Cons: Don't buy this monitor if you want to use 800 by 600 or 1024 by 768 resolution. It frays the edges of all the fonts and pictures.

Great Monitor
Pros: Great Monitor, I bought two and both came completly dead pixel free. Great sharp picture.
Cons: No DVI.
Other Thoughts: After a day of use one of the monitors developed a stuck pixel. However this was solved by a q-tip and slight pressure. The Stuck pixel has not come back since (over 2 months)

Pros: Big, bright screen. I had to turn it down. =O Not too heavy, good for LAN parties. Speaking of games, good response time leads to no ghosting. Socket for a lock cable (Good to have when you live in student housing).
Cons: No DVI. No adjustable height, but that seems to be the standard. Max resolution is the same as my Samsung 17" LCD, could be higher IMO.
Other Thoughts: I've been happy with this monitor so far. It burns me up that two years ago I paid almost $400 for a 17" LCD, and that was "reasonable" for one of that quality. Friend of mine was watching me play World of Warcraft on this and was jealous.

Definetely worth it
Pros: Cheap, easy to set up (Yeah, thats a HUGE Pro for me) no dead pixels. And now I own in games XD.
Cons: No DVI
Other Thoughts: Worth the money. I never really spent too much money on extra computer parts but my old CRT was bad. I love this.

Good for the price
Pros: Good picture and text. Have seen better but certainly not at this price point. No dead pixels. Worked fine straight out of the box. No setup problems.
Cons: As stated in an earlier post the base is very flimsy. Pick up the unit for any reason and it falls off. Also, the screen tilts down slightly when mounted in the base.

not too bad for as cheap as it was
Pros: cheap, light, sleek, did i mention cheap>?
Cons: 1 dead pixel, flimsy base stand, when i first got it there was 2 3" wide strips down the middle where the text blurs...seems to have corrected itself...
Other Thoughts: for the price you are going to get much better. its what it is. a super cheap 19" lcd, do expect anything crazy for the price, but it will do.

Ah, that's much better
Pros: Built a new pc and this monitor to go with, my first LCD. I never realized how cruddy CRT was before now. The price was nice, very happy with the performance and look of it.
Cons: When I first opened it up and plugged it in I would notice a red dot to the left side whenever the display was something dark. I thought that must be what a dead pixel was since I'd never seen one before. I was pretty upset at that and then even more so when I read something on the manufacturer's site about replacement of product only if there were more than 2 dead pixels in any quadrant of the screen or something like that. But then, oddly, after rubbing at the stupid dot in frustration, it went away...just poof, gone, hasn't been back since. I'm really not sure what to think about that...
Other Thoughts: I love my games on this screen!

Dead pixel right out of the box
Pros: The screen is bright...
Cons: Dead pixel right out of the box in the center of the screen. No returning to NewEgg, have to go though Acer.
Only supports 1280x1024
Other Thoughts: If you are gettinga 19' LCD get one that supports more than 1280x1024, I missed this when I purchased this monitor. Was assming it would do 1600x1280, or similar high res, since most other 19' ones do

Pros: Great price, good picture, good auto-image, no dead pixels
Cons: Packaging has arrived repeatedly with broken tape. Suspicious handling procedures at some point in the shipping or handling cycle.

Very pleased, so far
Pros: It's BIG, sharp, clear and bright. Vivid colors. Very easy setup. NO dead or stuck pixels. Intuitive controls; very clean, minimal design. NOTICE THE PRICE, too. Wasn't long ago you couldn't get a 17" for so little money.
Did I say it was BIG?
Cons: Too much flex in the stand; the neck should have been made of thicker plastic. Flimsy. If your table is not sturdy, movement will cause the screen to wobble slightly. Minor problem.
Other Thoughts: Upgrading from 15" CRT, this thing is like an IMAX. I turned down the brightness and contrast by half to make it comfortable to look at.
At 1280 x 1024 native resolution, text is LASER SHARP. Text at all other settings (emulations) looks like cr*p. If you work with text, you must run it at 1280 x 1024.
I'm not a gamer, so I don't know how it behaves with intense graphics. My digital photos are brilliant, clear and vibrant. Colors seem true. Big size is nice for photo editing. For general office work and net surfing, this monitor is way more than adequate.
Will post another review when I've lived with it for a while.

Good but..ehh
Pros: Great looking, slim design
Cons: No DVI, 1 Dead Pixel

Nice
Pros: Nice picture, 0 dead pixels, wall mounted it with a vesa 75/100 swingarm mount.
Cons: Difficult to remove the stand and neck(the neck specifically) had to use a knife or thin screwdriver to pop the back of the monitor off to access the screws to remove the neck, but it all worked out in the end. Not a con really, but not easy.
Other Thoughts: Pretty nice monitor if you don't want/need dvi, awesome price, rebate came in 2 weeks.

Pros: This monitor does everything I would expect and has performed MS Flight Sim, Lock-On and all other games with settings all the way up. The system is a P4 506, 128Mb Nvidia FX5200, 524Mb DDR RAM.
Cons: None so far.

Nice quality monitor
Pros: Great monitor, very bright and clear with crisp colors. Looks a lot better than my old crt did!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Great monitor for this price. No dead pixels and the quality is awesome. 3 year warranty too, which you don't get most of the time. The auto adjust worked great for me during setup, didn't have to change a thing. Overall a great monmitor for this price.

Cons: none really.

Nice for the Price
Pros: Price w/rebate is less than two-hundred bucks so it's a great deal for a19" w/700:1 and and 8ms response time. VERY bright.
Cons: I have google desktop and the monitor did seem to bork on certain settings between white and blue text, but I brought down the brightness and it looks great now.
Other Thoughts: It's a GREAT monitor for the price. You have to play with the settings a little to get it right, but now that I have I really like watching movies on it etc. (I"m using it as a second monitor) WORTH THE PRICE!

Great LCD.
Pros: I bought this for my mother to upgrade from a 15" CRT She acts like it is a new computer now. I haven't had a chance to use it only to set it up and there were no Dead pixels.
xxx for the LCD after rebate. xx Shipping. Making my Mother very happy. (Priceless)
Cons: No DVI but knew that when I bought it for my Mother's PC. She does not have a DVI output.
Other Thoughts: If you are upgrading from a CRT, this is a an easy decision. Get it.

Good Value
Pros: 1) Plug and Play (amazing auto tuning) 2) Good brightness and nice contrast rating 3) No ghosting seen yet (I have played Halo and Far Cry so far) 4) No dead/frozen pixels 5) Newegg is awesome and shipping was decent
Cons: 1) Non-sturdy stand (no big deal) 2) Some glare with the sun behind me 3) Analog only (doesn't appear to work with a DVI adapter)
Other Thoughts: I haven't owned this monitor a long time, but my first impressions are good. I upgraded from a 5 year old 17" CRT. Of course the colors and clarity are not as good as a CRT, but they are darn close. If you want it to look just like a CRT then you are going to have to spend twice as much as this. BTW, the port on the back of the monitor was not hard for ME to use, I don't know about you people. .294 pitch is fine with this monitor because of the high resolution.

satisfied
Pros: good clear picture, big screen, easy OSD menu. nice long cables to reach the power strip and tower.
Cons: 1 stuck pixel....annoying, but not in a horrible place. cables are hard to plug in on back of monitor. if you have big hands, good luck. more of an annoyance than anything. kind of a flimsy stand, but no earthquakes here, so i'm good.
Other Thoughts: it's not the best monitor you can get, but it does well for a upper-middle of the road.

Very Impressive LCD Monitor
Pros: Received this monitor (a day late due to UPS missorting it at their hub)and was very impressed with its design, ease of setup, and the display. No dead pixels and the display is bright, has very good contrast, with a nice high refresh rate. Going from a 17 inch analog monitor to this 19 inch LCD made all the difference in the world!
Cons: Cannot find anything negative about this LCD monitor!

Pros: Price Great!!New Egg awesome.

WOW GREAT MONITOR
Pros: What a difference WOW great monitor sharp image bright easy to set up. Bought this one for my home office went from 15 CRT to this WOW. Bright easy to read words are sharp. If your going to get a LCD get this one. Easy to adjust very bright had to turn it down.
Cons: None just that I didn't buy one sooner.
Other Thoughts: The analog connection on the back of the monitor is a tight fit har to turn the secure screws no room Acer could have made it a little more room for the connection.

Freakin' Awesome
Pros: Outstanding picture, great price for a 19" lcd monitor!
Cons: Umm, maybe the base could be open to hold some office items or possible have a usb port or two.
Other Thoughts: I always thought CRT were more brilliant with colors and crisper images. Having the 19" Acer next to a 17" Dell CRT, there is no comparison. The Acer wins hands down.

Good buy, though a design problem
Pros: Nice crsip and clean picture, good for games and videos
Cons: The DVI port could be in a better location, while using it I found that because of it's location the cable pulls itself away from the monitor causing the image get red several red lines in any areas where it's black. VGA works fine, but the DVI problem is a design issue...
Other Thoughts: I bought the silver version of this monitor from elsewhere but I thought I'd comment on it here... I used a dead pixel finder online to discover 3 non conforming pixels, 2 when the screen all red, one when it's green and another when it's yellow... All in all though the monitor was a fantastic buy and I'd do it again.

Worth It
Pros: Picture, price and size
Cons: one green stuck pixel. DOH!!
Other Thoughts: The only thing that kept me from giving an excellent was the stuck pixel. I'm a bit of a perfectionist but gosh darnit! Why did it have to be in the center of the screen. Overall this is a bargain with the rebate. I had an NEC 15" that I paid $100 more for a couple of years ago. Wow! What's next? 25" monitors for the price of a 19"?!!

1 dead pixel
Pros: Extreamly sharp image, unusually good contrast even at low brightness, very sleek professional look, thin borders: good for dual monitors. Also, GOOD GLARE PROTECTION. There's a window directly behind my seat, and there is virtually no glare on these monitors.
Cons: 1 dead pixel, upper right of one of the 2 monitors I got; I barely notice it though.
Other Thoughts: These are a great deal, I baught two of them and have had them almost a month now, they're much more space-efficient than other 19-inch LCDs as their border is thinner. Also, their dimmest setting is less bright than most LCDs, which is ideal for me, since I don't like the over-brightness of many displays. The max brightness on these is enough to see clearly in daylight.

Pros: Image quality, price
Cons: Lack DVI input, not scalable
Other Thoughts: Excellent image quality at native resolution. Not quite scalable at other interpolated resolutions - text is almost unreadable. But no big deal as most ppl are happy at native res. I actually find the silver buttons appealing, just like my Dell LCD. Wish it had DVI input but at this price can't ask for more :-)

Awesome
Pros: Big screen for the price of little screen, that simple. Not a single dead pixel that I can spot. Is 1/4 the size of my old 17" CRT and weighs that much less. Bright, good color, good onscreen controls. Newegg is reliable and the shipment went smooth, even got it for free!
Cons: None so far, I am really happy with it.

Zero dead pixels, fine image, great auto adjust
Pros: No dead pixels, fast POST, great at auto-imaging analog signals
Cons: No DVI
Other Thoughts: One box arrived a little beat up, but the monitor was perfect. Have ordered 3. Great price, Newegg advises of the warranty status, which is appreciated

Great Monitor
Pros: I'm and IT manager for a small company and purchased this monitor for home. It is clear, bright and no dead pixels. I had it next to a more expensive HP model and it looked better. Acer did a great job for a great price. My boss has not purchased two for the office.
Cons: None

Acer+NewEgg=Great buys!
Pros: Great monitor for a ridiculously low, low price! Speedy shipping! EZ Installation.Sharp and Bright!
Cons: none (see "grainy text" item below)
Other Thoughts: Fantastic buy and NewEgg gives great, FAST service (again). Replaced my old 19 inch CRT and reclaimed a whole lotta deskspace (and probably lowered my air conditioning costs to boot). I trolled NewEgg for months knowing that they would come through. Pounced like a cat when it showed up on the web site. Very happy. Mild concern about how small text seems a little grainy compared to aforementioned monitor but I still have to update the drivers on my ATI AIW card, so...? DO NOT PASS THIS UP! Miss this sale and you are a total loser!

Pros: Works perfect and looks awesome. Perhaps I'm easily impressed coming from a 15" CRT. Shipping was on time and the price was right. Have to wait and see how the rebate works.
Cons: nothing that I wasn't expecting
Other Thoughts: Real good deal

Acer AL16Ab 19" RECOMMENDED!
Pros: While I haven't had this LCD screen very long (less than a week) I can *highly* recommend it! No dead pixels out of box, and I did not notice any ghosting while playing Enemy Territory (FPS game). I didn't even notice any problems with the base as some other customers have mentioned... Shipping was extremely fast... Price could was unbeatable.
Cons: None known at this time.
Other Thoughts: Note that time will tell on dead pixels. They may appear later, but I haven't seen any out of the box. Also, others should try more advanced games to see if they get ghosting. Like I mentinoed, I didn't see any with ET, but it's an older game...
