Excellent Product
Pros: Small footprint...yet remains stable on the desk. Good color, good clarity, excellent quality
Cons: Cat hates it because she cant sleep on it like the old dinosaur it replaces
Other Thoughts: Again, another product I buy continually as a part of any systems I put together for home or office. This is number 10 with no dead pixels, no RMA's. No complaints from customers.

Uber nice monitor
Pros: Nice and light. I like light equipment. :) took a while because I have never likes wide screen monitors but I found it at a darn good price too! 1280x1024 resolution is nice. Bought one for me and the wife. Really good monitors.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Just what I wanted at a good price. Thats all.

Pros: crisp, clear images. Old screen was no longer in focus, so everything was fuzzy. Easy to setup, no complaints.
Cons: none to speak of.
Other Thoughts: I'm now looking at upgrading the rest of my computer, since my video card and processor have a hard time of keeping up with the computing requirements of the larger resolution when running games.

10+ and still working great
Pros: We place our most recent order a little over a week ago, all 10 arrived on time and the boxes were in mint condition just like if we had purchaced them at a retail store.
Cons: A minor inconvience is the snap on stand. It takes some forcing to get it to be securely snapped in, however going at it one side at a time never fails.
Other Thoughts: A thoughtful feature on acer's part is the serial and model number can be accessed from inside the interface on the monitor, so no more spinning the thing around and hopeing that the cables have enough slack on them. -over all this monitor is a solid 5/5-

Good monitor, no "extras"
Pros: High quality monitor for the price; sharp, bright display. Very easy to setup. The box it's shipped in has a handle for easy carrying.
Cons: You don't get any "extras". If you operate at a non-recommended resolution, the display will be stretched (there's no "cropping" mode) so make sure your video card supports 1280x1024. The enclosed stand is cheap plastic, it can only tilt, and the tilt range is only about 5 degrees.
Other Thoughts: I haven't used the color matching features yet. It seems to be a little harder than other monitors to get the colors "just right" when you do things by hand. The pixels are fairly small, which may be good or bad depending on your preference.

Pros: Very good inexpensive monitor. This is my fourth one of this brand and size. I use them as a second monitor to my widescreens. Great for application multitasking. Or just great as a stand alone monitor for a child's system.
Cons: No cons
Other Thoughts: I'd recommend this monitor to anybody looking for a decent low cost product. I own four now and am looking to buy a fifth.

Great Monitor
Pros: Great monitor. It does everything i need it to Call of Duty 4 works like im in the game. Its just a great monitor overall.
Cons: the stand took a bit of messing w/ to get in all the way but its not worth losing an egg over.
Other Thoughts: I <3 this monitor

GOOD-
Pros: NICE color. anti reflective screen (not shiny). LOTS of settings and options--easy to use. no dead pixels
Cons: none- other than I had to use channel-lock pliers to snap on the base...that fixed it !---Oh and box was beat up and torn tape, but no issues or dead pixels.
Other Thoughts: It was bright when turned on 1st time. I set it to "Gaming" mode, and adjusted the brightness a little from there. I could not get the "User" mode to look as nice as gaming mode, but it doesn't matter---it turns on and looks great now!!!

Great Deal
Pros: Super monitor works well in DOS environment as well as in the GUI.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: If you need a good basic SVGA monitor this is it. I bought this for a customer and he is well pleased.

Not bad, not great
Pros: Very inexpensive, well packaged, no dead pixels.
Cons: Cheap feeling plastic bezel. Colors take quite a bit of customizing to get to look good. Auto set doesn't hack it.
Other Thoughts: Not a bad monitor for the price. I bought it for an economical gaming computer for my wife. She'll think it looks great and thats all that matters, right? I would recommend for a econ gaming comp or a simple word processor.

Fantastic Monitor!
Pros: Great monitor! Picked up 3 for new pc builds for the kids. No problems with blurring or ghosting in games, picture is clear and bright, no dead pixels.
Cons: Absolutely None....great value on a VERY good monitor.
Other Thoughts: It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: Newegg Rocks!

Good monitor
Pros: Nice monitor for the money. No dead pixels and have three of them. Acer has a three-year warranty and you will need it.
Cons: Each of the monitors has had to go in for repair, but Acer fixes them for the first three years.
Other Thoughts: To get warranty service, it is best to register your monitor online with them as soon as you get it. Then when you need repair, within the first three years, you go online and get a repair order and send the monitor to them. they will send your monitor back fixed.

Pretty nice for the price
Pros: Auto button makes adjusted edges easy as can be. Love this button. Never have to adjust horizon/vertical size/position again!
Cons: Contrast ratio causes black to not be as perfectly black as hoped. Also have what I've been told is "color bleeding", which is a whiter spot in the bottom right corner. Noticeable when that area is dark.
Other Thoughts: For the price, its a very nice 17". I use it for playing COD2 and BF2142 and it works very well with no ghosting. If only thing keeping you from buying it is price seems TOO low, don't worry!

Very good monitor
Pros: Price, easy to clean, picture quality, no dead pixels. I ordered 3 these for the vet I work for (made $20 of each monitor!) and they are very happy. The monitors hold up great in a high work, and a very dirty enviornment.
Cons: Would be nice if it was around $20 less.
Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks

Acer = FAIL
Pros: the picture and response is good for 8ms and the low end model.
Cons: The catch, 3 dead pixels out of the box. Of course Newegg wont replace unless there are SEVEN dead pixels. Yes, SEVEN, even if they are dead out of the box, doesnt matter. I didnt pay for a defective monitor but I'm stuck with it now. Also, starting 4 months later the power button is now becoming faulty. It was hardly ever used but it is not always working even with being used only 3 or 4 times a month.
Other Thoughts: This monitor is a cheap piece of junk. Get it if you are in desperate need of something or only use your computer for basic web/wordprocessing etc. It works fine for my mother like this but is still unsatisfactory for coming with 3 dead pixels and a power switch that breaks with a couple dozen uses.

hey it looks good
Pros: it came in and worked good as new the first couple of months.
Cons: now its 5 months later and it has two dead pixels. but no big deal it is a small office screen, for word and spreadsheets and web surf.
Other Thoughts: no dvi conector, just vga. plus kind of not sexy just plain jane monitor.

Great product!
Pros: Pretty big, very thin, very cheap, no broken pixels, easy setup.
Cons: Susceptible to a minor amount of so-called image persistence, however this is scarcely noticeable, and easily fixed.
Other Thoughts: Good bang for the buck! If I had a few bucks, I'd buy another one!

Nice for the price
Pros: Better contrast and detail than the Dell LCD it replaced. A nice screen for a nice price.
Cons: Flimsy base isn't very stable. No cord management, they just hang down from the back.
Other Thoughts: Better contrast at the top that at the bottom, so not suitable for photos and graphics, but great for office docs.

Unstable
Pros: Economical. Better than a CRT
Cons: I have had several issues with this one. RMA'd back to Acer and they supposively fixed it. Screen will jump up and down and get fuzzy, I have changed cables and still have same issues. I do have a 19" Acer that is much better and no issues after 6 months.
Other Thoughts: GO Big or Go Home.

Best low-cost monitor I have found yet
Pros: This is by far the best "low-cost" monitor I have found yet! Excellent picture quality, no dead pixels, bright, and good resolution. As an OEM system builder having these little gems available makes my job a whole lot easier.
Cons: None.

Good Monitor Low Price
Pros: Good Monitor for a low price. Had it for almost a year and it has never failed me.
Cons: It came with one single dead pixel but you only notice it when you are watching a movie.
Other Thoughts: Only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because of the single dead pixel. O yea it matches my pc.

Pros: I bought two of these monitors to replace the CRTs on my parent's computers. I've had them for 3 months now and they do exactly what they're supposed to. They are sleek, space saving, and cheap. The picture is great, too. I watch DVDs and play games on the computers sometimes. If I wanted a monitor with DVI, wide screen, or some other feature, I would have bought one with those features.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: None

replace your 5-year old monitor with this monitor
Pros: This is a great monitor for the price. The size works perfect with my desk and the multiple output settings makes going from working on graphic files to working on text files very quick and easy.
Cons: None really. At lest not with the monitor itself, it works better then my computers video-output.
Other Thoughts: I might be over excited about this monitor, because any monitor would be better then the huge dinosaur of a monitor that was dominating my desk.

Good Standard Flat Panel
Pros: Good and bright, an excellent home/office flat panel - Don't use it for gaming just got it for a space saver on a workdesk - also note that this uses a D-SUB connector and not DVI - if you have a higher powered graphics card make sure to check your connector types
Cons: 1 dead pixel on arrival - Dead pixels aren't typically that noticeable, and this one, while near the middle of the screen, can't be noticed unless you scour the screen and then point it out - even then, you forget about it quickly.
Other Thoughts: Nice, quick shipping - I'd recommend this if you are just looking for a cheaper alternative to bulky CRTs - Don't bother with this if you are planning on gaming - 8ms response time will ghost and make animation look terrible no matter how great of a graphics card you have (besides it only has a D-sub connector, so most, if not all, high-end graphics cards are out of the question)

Great for the price
Pros: Really nice display without all the frills I didnt need anyway. Very crisp display.
Cons: The small base makes the monitor seem a little unstable.
Other Thoughts: I was a little worried when I ordered this. I was afraid of I'd get bit by the adage "you get what you pay for". But I was very happily surprised. No dead pixels, everything I needed in the box, and a really nice monitor for a really nice price.

Best monitor in this price range for sure
Pros: Great picture quality, low failure rate.
Cons: No DVI, but it's not a big deal. The difference between VGA and DVI is not noticable on a 17" screen anyways.
Other Thoughts: I have used quite a few of these monitors (a few hundred maybe) and they work great. Good picture and very low failure/problem rate compared to other brands I have used. Other monitors in this price range are not nearly as good.

excellent monitor
Pros: excellent monitor for the money... not _too_ cheap as to be low quality and not expensive enough to be cost-prohibitive
Cons: none that I can think of
Other Thoughts: We purchase 30-50 of these each month for our customers... they work great... I can't attest to Acer's tech support as I've _never_ had to use them... which, I also think speaks volumes for this monitor.

Good value priced monitor
Pros: Price, free shipping, no tax. Slim, light, uninstrusive base. Very bright, no dead pixels. Easy, instant, basically automatic setup. Very quiet compared to my 19" crt. Used in recording studio so every little bit of noise reduction counts.
Cons: Viewing angle can be a little weird, if you view it straight on the text on the top most menu bar on programs has a white "shimmer" that happens. Tilt the screen down and it goes away. If you look at the screen while standing up, looking down at it, all brightness is even. Not annoying enough to complain all that much though. Don't run it at anything but 1280x1024 or it looks blurred and out of focus, but I think most flatscreen LCDs are this way. It's too bad you lose versatility when you switch over to LCD.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice if the viewing angle thing was more even. I also recognize this is a value-line model monitor, and for the price, it's a very good deal.

WORSE MONITOR EVER HAD!!
Pros: None.
Cons: I had a previous bad experience with an ACER product. I don’t really trust ACER but I fell again victim of the temptation and Newegg low price. I bought this monitor on 8/17/06 to replace a CRT. A wonderful ViewSonic E70f that was working fine. Just wanted a TFT. About 35 days later all a got on this ACER piece of junk was dark red lines across the screen. I checked my video card, I checked the monitor in another computer and the same thing! I ended up putting back my ViewSonic and problem solved. I went to ACER web site and too much talk about how wonderful their products are but not a word about how I can send the monitor for repair or replace under their warranty. I called them twice to get info and had to wait on hold forever. I hanged up both times. But shame on me! Back in December, I fell again! I bought an ACER - AS5102WLMi laptop as a Christmas present for my wife. It’s still working because she turns it on about once a week. Hope I have better luck with the laptop.
Other Thoughts: Should have bought a VxxxSonic, Sxxxung or HX.

Cons: Very little tilt adjustment.

Great Value
Pros: Bought 5, not one dead pixel in any after 6 months of use. Excellent features considering the price.
Cons: None, it is what I expected.
Other Thoughts: No DVI connection, but was not expected. 17" of highly functional display at an amazing price.

Great Monitor
Pros: Price, 8ms
Cons: Not wide screen but it still gets 5 eggs
Other Thoughts: I bought this for my aunt and she loves it. I does have one defective pixel towards the top. Good part is that it only shows up on a black screen and goes away after about 5 seconds. So all is good. This is my second Acer in the last year and so far only one defective pixel.

Not bad
Pros: Great color, worked right out of the box and I did not have any dead spots.
Cons: Monitor does not raise up or down, only tilts. Tilt axis is poor.
Other Thoughts: If you have a two tier desk not good for upper tier, had to prop back to allow down tilt, then just moved to lower spot on desk.

the bright line(cautious)
Pros: I have bought Acer 19" AL 1914. looks pretty cool and frame design is good.
Cons: After not more than one year, I found many bright horizontal lines(not less than 10) appear on the screen. I Switched the video card and the problem remain. So it is the matter of Monitor.
Other Thoughts: I'll not try Acer monitor again.

Great product!
Pros: Easy to set up. Great price. Great picture. No dead pixels. Would definitely buy another one!
Cons: I had some difficulty getting the monitor connected to the base. :(
Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace the large Dell monitor I had been using. I now have a ton more space on my desk top.

Great product, great price!
Pros: Excellent value for the price. Have purchased 10+ of these for our company, and have yet to get a faulty product, let alone even a single dead pixel. Screen is large, clear and bright. Small footprint makes for more efficient use of space; tremendous improvement over CRT's!
Cons: Screen height not adjustable: somewhat low for some users, as a result we had to use risers (which negates space savings of a flat panel monitor) for ergonomics compliance.
Other Thoughts: Great product for our office. Materials (especially base) do not feel very sturdy, but as they are going to be sitting on a desk for the duration of their usage, I am not concerned with damage due to wear/tear. Overall, HIGHLY recommend this product!

Awsome monitor for the Price
Pros: This monitor is a great value for the dollar spent. The text comes out sharp and the colors are vivid and bright. 8ms response time keeps things from blurring, that I can see. No dead pixels!

Good monitor for the price.
Pros: No dead pixels, clear text and good color. I use it in an office environment, so we don't game on it. Easy setup with an auto adjust feature. Viewable from almost all conceivable angles.
Cons: The screen is obviously back-lit from the bottom only and the top of the screen has a noticeable darker look to it. On some screens it is really noticeable, but not disruptive.
Other Thoughts: For the price it is a nice looking monitor that appears to be working well. And it is a name brand people have heard of unlike some. :)

Pros: Looks great, no dead pixels and had free shipping.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: This is the 3rd acer monitor i have bought for my builds, and still no complaints.
Only other thing I have to say is to newegg. Great products, great service, great prices, but please, do your customers a favor, if you insist on keeping ups as a shipping option, you should really also give us the option of the us postal service, they are cheaper and aren't too good to work on the weekends, lol. Thanks

Can you say "Value"?
Pros: NO dead pixels, perfect monitor! I could say it was "cheap"...and it was, but more than that, it's a lot of monitor for the money. Great value, great quality!
Cons: None

Good Value
Pros: Well designed Monitor, High Quality LCD panel, uniform color and brightness, well designed supporting circuitry (power supply & picture adjustments). And, of course, good deal for the money.
Cons: No DVI input; these days all monitors should have that.
Other Thoughts: The thumb screws on video cable connector is somewhat difficult to tighten once it is plugged in the video jack on the monitor, because of proximity to the monitor's casing; but I guess that can be said about most monitors with similar arrangement of input connectors. It would be nice if insted of being parallel to the monitor's casing, the video input jack would have been at 45 degree angle, but again, if you only have to do it once its not a major issue.

Awesome Monitor For Any Amount Of Money!
Pros: I purchased 2 of these monitors at the same time without physically viewing them. I have not regretted this at all! These are great monitors at a great price and I would buy them again in a second!
Cons: None!

Awesome!
Pros: Great color and zero dead pixels. The refresh is great with zero ghosting. It's bright and clear! For a buck fitty nine you can't beat it! Like others I had some difficulty with mounting the stand. Upon flipping it over I realized the two front clips of the stand were hitting the base of the monitor. I used a med flat head screwdriver to "gently" guide them inward into the slot and when I pushed on the stand it snapped right into place.
Cons: NONE!

Pros: Great picture quality. If you've ever looked at pics from digital blasphemy, you know that they are amazing to look at. They are even more amazing on this monitor
Cons: For a while after i had it for about a month or two, I had problems with it turning off for no reason and then turning back on again. It went away after awhile... dont exactly know why.

Excellent Monitor
Pros: Very clean, sharp, and bright (I actually had to turn down the brightness a bit). Feels nice and sturdy, and has a professional look about it.
Cons: Stand is a bit hard to assemble, I had to push so hard I thought I was going to break it. I'm sure getting it off won't be much fun.
Other Thoughts: A lot of people say that no DVI is a bad thing, but for the price, who can complain?

Great price
Pros: Cheap, sleek, beautiful, light. Stand was sturdier than some of the reviews suggest. Crisp picture, no dead pixels yet. Well-designed packaging. Dead-simple D-Sub/power port design.
Cons: Minimalistic manuals and documentation, not that there's much to document. D-Sub cord is short.
Other Thoughts: Newegg shipping is, frankly, awesome.

Wonderful
Pros: Quick, easy, basic, and inexpensive from Newegg. Have found Acer LCD screens to be very good, and have yet to see any issues with any of them. I've deployed about 20 of these so far over the past year and have yet to have any issues.
Cons: The VGA output on the back of the monitor itself is a bit akward. Could be moved so it's a bit simpler to get too.

It's what I expected for Acer!
Pros: My college has Acer monitors and so I had switch over because I loved how those looked. When I got this one, it was exactly what I excepted, great picture and quality.
Cons: I do have one dead pixel, but its in the upper right corner, its barely noticable.
Other Thoughts: Thanks to newegg, I got 10 dollars off and free shipping, if you need a monitor or you are thinking getting a different one, this is a great deal, get it while you can!

Excellent monitor!
Pros: Beautiful bright colors, no ghosting, no dead pixels. I have been very pleased with this monitor. There is no strain on my eyes like there was with a CRT monitor. If you are looking to buy a nice LCD, then do not hesitate on this one! I have no complaints! I know others have said it was a little flimsy or hard to get the base on, but I didn't have a problem. Just be patient, and hold it down on the floor and snap it together. You will not be disappointed with this monitor. Once it is together, it is sturdy.
Cons: None so far!

Great monitor for the price!
Pros: No dead pixels. Easy set up, connection and install. Sharp picture with good color.
Cons: Could use a little beefier stand. Angle adjustment is a little stiff.
Other Thoughts: Bought this monitor for my parents (both 80+) to replace their old CRT. They really like the increased size and brightness and are enjoying their computer more then ever. This is a great monitor for the price.

Good So Far
Pros: Great Price, Great Quality Picture, Even smells great. lol
Cons: Monitor has 1 single dead pixel however it's hardly noticable.
Other Thoughts: Hoping this monitor lasts longer than my other one I picked up that blew up after 3 days.
Then again it was rosewell brand.

Time and Time Again
Pros: This monitor presents crystal clear pictures at the recommended resolution. Games and dvd movies look phenomenal with no lag or blur.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Other Thoughts: I build computers for a living and when people are on a budget but want a nice clean lcd for a great price this one is the one I choose and will continue to choose as I continue building.
