Rating + 3 Just One Please

Pros: Monitor has worked for nearly over 2 years without a problem. No dead pixels to date. Minor heat generation, but it works fine. The color reproduction is very good. Using a BFG 7900 GT/GTO Graphics Card at 1600 X 1200 resolution. This was my first View Sonic. I have been very happy with Newegg on all of my purchases going back to 2004. They processed my order quickly and delivered the monitor in just a few days.

Cons: I first purchased this monitor in March 2006; it lasted until October 2006 (7 months). I had problems with the USB ports. After 7 months of use the USB ports stop working. I returned the monitor to Viewsonic and after about a month they returned the unit back to me and since November 2006 I have not had any problems with this monitor. But the real problem is the USB ports/hub location under the monitor and makes it very difficult to access. So I don't use the USB ports/hub. I have other LCD monitors and none have given me the problems that this one has, because of that I won't be buying another View Sonic. Samsung, NEC and Sony are better Monitors. For the price I paid back in 2006 I would have expected this Monitor to last a lot longer before breaking down. I purchased a 22 inch LCD in April 2007 and have had it on just about every day and have had no problems at all with it. I feel there are better LCD monitors on the market than Viewsonic.

Other Thoughts: Given my first initial experience with this product, I can't recommend this Viewsonic LCD. Viewsonic clearly has some Quality Control issues with their LCD Monitor lines. And the placement of the USB ports underneath the display rather than on the side, which other manufacturers do, indicates that the design engineers did not give much thought to the ability to access the ports. Without a USB dongle it is very difficult to use the ports with a flash thumb drive.

For a lot less money there are better LCD's than Viewsonic.

Other Thoughts: Would only recommend, Samsung, Sony, NEC and LG. Viewsonic clearly has some Quality Control issues with their LCD Monitor lines. And the placement of the USB ports underneath the display rather than on the side, which other manufacturers do, indicates that the design engineers did not give much thought to convenience.

Rating + 4 Buying more!

Pros: Have had VP2130b for several years. 4 of them. Never a problem with DVI, heat, etc. Maybe I'm lucky? I run 4 computers, hate having different monitory types. Now ready to by 2 more, maybe 4. Dual monitor mode is great with these, ESPECIALLY in vertical/portrait mode.

Cons: The Stand and USB ports are pathetic, I give you that. But, now with redesign of the home office, I'm going to "build" or buy some monitor stands connected to the VESA(?) holes for dual monitors, rotating the screens when needed, and swivel.

Pros: Great picture quality when it works. The stand is very very adjustable. Calibrated well with a Color Vision Spider.

Cons: From the beginning I had issues with this monitor not waking up with a dvi-d signal. I figured that I just had some bugs that needed to be worked out. The problem stayed. I upgraded videocards and changed about 80% of my computers parts (just doing regular upgrades) and the problem stayed. I tried numerous power cables, DVI-D cables and the problem never went away.
Eventually the problem got worse and worse to the point that it would take hours to wake up.***I ended up figuring out how to get it up and going every time but it involved jumping through hoops. I had to attach both vga and dvi-d cables. Start up the computer once I heard the windows welcome chime I would disconnect the dvi-d cable and let the computer switch over to vga. Then I would be able to plug the dvi-d cable back in and get a digital picture. The base of the stand will bend and the usb ports on the back of the monitor are a pain to get to. The software is a pain and the monitor had one dead pixle.

Other Thoughts: I have yet to try to see if viewsonic will help me with this monitor because I had to get another one to keep this computer up and running for work. For the cost I think one could get a much better quality monitor for the same cost.

Pros: Great in almost all aspects. I prefer the 1600x1200 over 1680x1050.

Cons: Only lasted two and a half years before dying.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what the average life is for something comparable to this, but for the price paid I expected it would be longer.

Pros: NONE

Cons: Buyer Beware. DVI crapped out after 4 months and then the nightmare began. Sent out for repairs and came back one month later with nothing done to it. Sent it back to Viewsonic, Held hostage for 2 weeks while they did inventory. Evrey person I spoke to in their servide dept. gave me a different story. Wanted to send me comparable unit not the same exact unit. DO NOT BUY VIEWSONIC

Rating + 4 Nice, but takes some coaxing...

Pros: Awesome picture. Mine has no dead or stuck pixels. I tried it last night with XPlane 8.40, WOW! With XPlane set at 1600 x 1200 resolution the detail is amazing, bright and clear.

Cons: Mine takes some coaxing to get it going. When I first boot my computer the display comes up only around 50% of the time. A hardware reset prior to Windows booting usually gets it done, sometimes requires 2 to 3 tries. I'm using an nVidia GeForce 8800GTS card + DVI-D cable at native resolution.

Other Thoughts: This was sent to me as a replacement for my horrible VP201b. Viewsonic support is just as bad as everyone says, possibly worse. I sent my VP201b in twice due to it just "blanking out" randomly. They actually lost my monitor and sent me another "refurbished" unit with the exact same problem! I know it wasn't the one I sent them because the serial number was different. I b!#ched and moaned until they sent me this VP2130b. It still has problems, but once it's up and running it's great.

Rating + 5 You get what you pay for...

Pros: Between business and home use I own fifteen (15) of this model, as well as several other brands. I bought the first four monitors over six years ago (at that time it was the VP211b). They have been carted all over the country, survived college dorm rooms, road trips, and construction sites. Not one has failed in any way, even after falling face down on a hard counter top. Even after six years I still haven't maxed out the contrast and brightness settings. The 4:3 aspect ratio is the best format for business use and we run four at a time on each computer for CAD workstations. Besides, who spends all their time watching movies on their computer?

Cons: As with all "green" monitors, they turn off too soon to allow for troubleshooting a computer video problem.

Other Thoughts: After trying several other brands, I am convinced that Viewsonic has the most pleasing color rendition.

Rating + 3 VS support = HELL

Pros: Beautiful color, good resolution, good blacks and a quick response time

Cons: Expensive, especially for the complete lack of support. I have 4 of these set up into 2 dual-monitor systems for my boss. In both systems, the color is different on each monitor. One machine had the dreaded DVI issue and took out one monitor completely. I sent it back and 4 weeks later am still waiting for the replacement, which Viewsonic support called a "direct swap". Probably lost in the mail, right? Not to mention that if you try phoning their support line or their customer service line, you will never get through. Well, you might, but I gave up after sitting on hold for an hour.

Other Thoughts: This is an OK monitor, but you'll regret buying one of these (or any ViewSonic product) if you ever have to deal with support. Just don't do it. I wont even again.

Pros: Amazing quality in all aspects!

Cons: It takes up alot space on the desktop if you don't want to up objects on the feet. Throws off alot of heat also. If you have big fingers could be hard to attach the DVI-A and DVI-D cords.

Other Thoughts: I use the heat off of this and my tower to heat my room. Saves my oil bill. lol

Rating + 3 Disappointed with Viewsonic

Pros: When this monitor worked, it was beautiful. I'm a professional graphic designer, and I've always trusted the Viewsonic brand. I was a little worried about switching from a CRT to LCD, but I needed a new monitor, and this one seemed to be the right choice. I needed a good realiable monitor, this one had the best specs and seemed to be highly recommended. It has VERY high quality graphics, and I would recommend it to others if...

Cons: I had the same issue as others with the DVI input. The computer I had the machine on died, and it *somehow* took the monitor with it, though I suspect it has something to do with the drivers. The DVI inputs do not work at all anymore, even when I replaced the video card and bought a specific DVI-D cord for it. Absolutely does not recognize what it is. After some checking around, this seems to be a *very common* problem with these Viewsonic LCD monitors. I'm still using it, on VGA, and I see quite a bit of pixel flicker. But the quality doesn't seem to have diminished that much.

Other Thoughts: It really bothers me that I'm stuck using this monitor on the gimped up VGA when I could have it on DVI. I tried to get in contact with Viewsonic's tech support, but after hearing other's horror stories with VS's tech support, I think I'll just stick with the issues as they are until I can get another monitor.

Rating + 5 Relieved

Pros: Excellant color and adjustments for the $. I'm a photographer and with callibration, I found the monitor to be excellant. Of course, it's outstanding for the average user.

Cons: CRT's are still better for graphics and photography. Base is much larger than comparible monitors.

Other Thoughts: Outstanding monitor for all around use. Very good for photographer and graphic artists who can't afford the $2,500+ for a truly photo-friendly monitor. Plus, it's fast enough to run games, etc. My stand is very sturdy and I had no pixels out. This was my first purchase from newegg and I'm very impressed. True 3 day shipping! I'm so relieved!

Rating + 2 Average Analog

Pros: This is a beautiful monitor with superb color range. Whites are bright and darks have excellent gradation.

Cons: DVI capability ceased within 2 months. Returned all original content to Viewsonic (manual, disc, DVI, VGA cables) for service - same unit came back with only a VGA cable. Testing on multiple computers revealed that DVI functionality was not repaired. Seemed like the missing DVI cable was a message.

Other Thoughts: Viewsonic has had difficulty making the switch from CRT to LCD technology. As a long time devotee of their 21" tubes, this experience was disheartening. I would still recommend their smaller display panels.

Pros: great monitor. couldn't ask for better quality. Nice thin bezzels, great for multi-view display.

Cons: the footprint of this monitor stand his HUGE. I do not recommend this monitor if you're using a double disply. The "feet" spread out wide and far back. One of the worst I've seen. This monitor would rate a 5 if it wasn't for this problem.

Other Thoughts: I am very critical of my desktop "space". I like it neat and clean. This monitor stand leaves little room for my large Wacom tablet. Be warned.

Pros: Very nice picture. Highly adjustable settings for different environments (viewable in low light settings, bright rooms, with backlighting, etc).

Cons: Setting up all the widgets and toys that come with this monitor can cause some headaches. The menu navication is a little counter intuitive.

Other Thoughts: This monitor allows you to see everything that designers had in mind when they made whatever product you're using. I've had mine for over a year, and love it so much I eneded up getting one for BOTH my computers!

Pros: Looks and works great. I am using a EVGA 8800gts Superclock and dvi-d works great but a little slow to wake up on start ups sometimes.

Cons: I get one dead pixle on start up and then it goes away once windows starts up. USB ports are hard to access. Vista does not like the Pivot software. The monitor also gives off some heat.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am very happy with this monitor and would buy it again. There are a few things that could be refined but they are not that big of a deal. I would really like to see a monitor that is the same size with higher resolution and hdmi in the future.

Rating + 5 Very nice

Pros: This is a beautiful monitor, very bright compared to my old VX2000 Viewsonic. I bought it for functionality; the pivot for portrait to landscape mode rotation works smooth and is very easy to use repeatedly.
No dead pixels.

Cons: The footprint of the stand is rather large. I have the monitor standing in the corner of my desk so it is not a problem, but if space is tight you may find the screen to close to your face.

Other Thoughts: These Newegg people ship fast. I am very thankful for that, and relieved to have the product on my desk in three days only, having searched and researched for weeks.

Pros: Looks Fabulous in games, great refresh rate, colors are very good.

Cons: HEAT! I have 2 of these side by side, they are the hottest LCD's ive ever seen, probe registered @135 F. I had 2 VP201B's both ended up failing, and they ran much cooler.

USB Hub is horrible design, when u turn off the monitor or it goes to sleep the hub shuts off, with the VP201B they stay powered. I dont know what has happenned to Viewsonic, I have bought probably 40 monitors from them and never had an issue till lately, excluding warranty issues

Other Thoughts: Warranty/RMA from Viewsonic is the worst I have ever encountered recently. I sent my VP201B in last OCTOBER, I just now finally got a replacement after countless phone calls and them sending out dead or refurb models. I will not ever buy Viewsonic again simply because they have horrible support for warranty issues. 5 months for a replacement, they even sent me a monitor that would not even turn on, so much for checking to see if a car will start before the customer shows up to drive it away.

Rating + 5 No Longer "Frustrated"

Pros: My previous review stated the monitor would not recognize the DVI signal. I found the problem to be in the windows native drivers. After I installed both the video card manufacturer's driver and the Viewsonic driver the monitor picked right up on the DVI-D signal. The DVI-D image is considerably sharper than the VGA generated image. Make sure you have your shades handy - this screen is bright! Makes my older 19" LCD's look dull & dingy. No problem with the stand - looks like they may have attached a few more rubber cushions.

Cons: Viewsonic's support still was lousy.

Other Thoughts: Would like a couple more of these babies for a three screen set up.

Rating + 3 "Frustrated"

Pros: Great Picture,Nice thin bezel, No Dead Pixels, Perfect Size for Autocad

Cons: Absolutely will not recognize DVI signal from graphics card. Had to settle with running on VGA input. Since I do not do any gaming this is not a reason to send it back however it is disappointing. To add to the "Frustration Factor" the Monitor's System Settings do not show up on the screen unless it is recognizing a signal. So if it is not recognizing a DVI signal you are unable to change the screen settings to enable it to recognize a different signal - Catch 22. Viewsonic support not worth wasting time on.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed in Viewsonic for not working the bugs out and not providing more effective support. Average rating is due to the DVI and support issues.

Rating + 5 Superb monitor!

Pros: Best contrast I've seen on any 1600x1200 LCD. Colors are very natural. Excellent viewing angle. Good response times.

PS3 in HD-720p (via component->vga adapter) is superb. Hardware scaler (to display in full scren 1600x900 on this monitor) is also excellent in HD-720p mode.

Cons: Not HDCP-compliant. One side effect is no PS3 HDMI->DVI because it's HDCP-protected. Very few LCDs currently on the market are, but if you want to futureproof (esp. for Vista), you might want to consider other models (like the 23" widescreen).

Also, the rear of the base on this monitor extends about 5" behind the stand, which translates into the screen being 5" closer to you than most monitors. If you have limited desk space, this is a factor you should consider.

Other Thoughts: Extremely happy with the purchase, and newegg was lightning fast on the shipping as always.

Rating + 5 Excellent monitor!!!

Pros: Monitor displays awesome detail. Like usual, a high quality product from ViewSonic. No problem whatsoever with the stands. Not off balance or anything of that nature. Think someone just likes to complain. The height adjustment and swivel functionality are a great bonus for a monitor this size.

Cons: Like a few other reviewers, if ViewSonic would've placed the USB ports in a location that was easier to access it would be a good improvement, but I didn't buy this monitor for USB ports.

Other Thoughts: I'm running two of these in a dual monitor configuration and I have no complaints. Newegg did a great job with getting these products shipped to me and I would definitley buy from them again.

Pros: GREAT picture. Easily adjusted pivot and swivel. No ghosting. Now I want two.

Cons: Like the reviewer below stated, the DVI-D does not always showe up during POST'ing. When I switched from a dual link to the included single link cable hasn't done it since.

Other Thoughts: To the people complaning about the feet not touching, either your setting it on rocks or you haven't noticed the fact the rubber feet are what touches, not the plastic on the stand. It might appear that it isn't "touching" at a glance, but all four rubber feet touch just fine.

Rating + 5 Very satisfied

Pros: Great visual design (stand and frame); no dead pixels; great picture (extremely sharp and legible windows small desktop font at about 36" viewing distance); gave me about 10" of desktop space over my old 19" VS PF790 CRT; very easy on the eyes for long hours; buttery smooth frame rates with no ghosting on BF2 at 1600X1200 (Driven by GF6800GT); was lowest price on pricewatch when I purchased;

Cons: USB ports turn off when you shut off LCD with power button (kind of odd) which I do rather than wait for it to power off; included DVI-D cable (single link) works ok with my setup, however on fresh power up the LCD does not detect the DVI-D signal at times (thus no boot screen); I can CTRL-ALT-DEL to warm boot and get the LCD to see the DVI-D signal, so I think it may have to do with shoddy DVI-D signal out of the card on bootup (it is BFGTech garbage); otherwise I haven't investigated the issue.

Other Thoughts: Now when I look at my old CRT display I realize how much I was missing in terms of display quality and clarity.

2 Days to process order placed on Sunday made the waiting excruciating, but would give Newegg 5 stars otherwise and will continue to order from newegg based on price and service.

Rating + 5 Great LCD

Pros: This monitor is excellent in terms of color, contranst, brightness, grayscale transition is very good too. Very sharp picture, very highly reccomended, however, check out the cons to this lcd.

Cons: The only con to this is that you NEED to get a DVI-D only cable to make this use DVI-D, otherwise I had trouble with this defaulting to DVI-A, annoying but not that bad, I wouldn't expect that much from bundled hardware, just get a DVI-D cable, not a DVI-I cable (will possibly result in defaulting to DVI-A), and you're good

Rating + 3 Good but not Great

Pros: 1600x1200 at 21.3" is noticeably easier on the eyes when it comes to reading text on screen. Good color and excellent brightness. No problems playing games. Good contrast ratio, but this is because of brightness, not because the blacks are any blacker.

A noticeable improvement in text readability compared to my VP201b, due to being just a little bigger and a lot brighter. Good for text intensive applications (like Visual Studio).

Cons: 6 dead pixels - not enough to get a replacement. The stand is just as bad, if not worse, than what everyone says here. I had to shim it and it's still wobbly. Much bigger footprint on my desktop, too, and this is not necessary. Unless you're planning on replacing the stand (I am) then you should seriously consider another product.

Other Thoughts: I've owned and used large Viewsonic monitors for many years now, and this is the first time I've been disappointed. Compared to my VP201b, this model is just a little cheaper-looking and cheaper-feeling. The stand design is terrible. The buttons and on/off light are less refined and look 'chunky'. The bezel doesn't have the smooth design of earlier models (like the VP201b).

I bought this for home, but if the picture was good, I was going to recommend it as part of a turn-key hardware solution we sell at work. The stand is so bad that I can't.

Pros: Great looking monitor. Recived it on time. Includes all cables. Didn't have any dead pixels. Saves alot more room than my 21" CRT. Easy to hook up. Very bright. No ghosting.

Cons: Didn't like the software, PerfectSuite. It did more damage than good. The default settings for the monitor were perfect. I installed the software, then all of a sudden everything was dark. I uninstalled the software and reset the monitor to default. Best lookind monitor I have ever owned.

Rating + 3 On Second Thought

Pros: Nice display. Desktop real estate is obviously nice. The brightness of this display is also impressive. I personally like the ratio of the 1600 x 1200 resolution.

Cons: 3 dead/intermittent pixels - one of them low enough to be on the task bar - not a big deal overall.
Had to RMA this after only 6 weeks of use - jury is still out on viewsonics warranty support but it's not looking good at this point. This display has a 2 or 3 pixel wide vertical blue line that comes on when the monitor has been on for several hours. Main point here is I am unimpressed with support. The 800 number people don't even know what the repair people have or have not done (after 2 weeks).

Other Thoughts: There are other 21 inch displays I would purchase in retrospect.

Rating + 5 A Very Nice Monitor Series....

Pros: For [now discontinued] model# VP912B: Colors are sharp and crisp, high contrast and brightness, no dead pixels, and I absolutely love the tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments.

Cons: At first, I will admit it was difficult getting the computer to see the DVI signal, but it works fine now. Just takes some playing around and tweaking is all.

Other Thoughts: I don't see any problems like one reviewer described below. Although I don't own THIS exact Viewsonic model #, I do own a VP912B and its been nothing short of fantastic for over a year now. My monitor stand is very stable, and does not wobble one bit. This VP monitor series is a great product, very highly recommended. And as always, Newegg Rocks! :)

Rating + 2 Big disappointment!

Pros: Beautiful image and colorimetry.

Cons: As several other reviewers noted, the stand on these is a pathetic joke. All four feet on both of the monitors I purchased are off the desk surface, and the unfinished cast aluminum ribs are all that are supporting the monitor (and scratching my cherry desk). Further, the stands wobble terribly. I also had difficulty getting the DVI-D inputs to acquire a signal from my G5 PowerMac.

Other Thoughts: These LCD's are going back. Beautiful picture, terrible mechanical stand design and poor DVI implementation. Be forewarned that these are warranted ONLY by the manufacturer, not Newegg. If you dislike them, you have to deal with Viewsonic, not Newegg.

Rating + 5 I'm spoiled!

Pros: This ViewSonic VP2130B is a dream to use. I was using a Brand "X" 20" 16:9 and was never satisfied that I could increase my efficiency. With this monitor, the resolution is so good that I can leave the type small and still be able to read it with over 65 year old eyes. It came with both DVI & VGA cables along with the USB cable to go to the computer to enable the 4 ports on the monitor.

Cons: If I had to plug devices into and out of the USB ports on a daily basis, this would be a pain. Then again, this is a one time event.

Other Thoughts: Ordered it on Sunday night - it was shipped on Monday and I received it on Thursday - just like they said I would. NewEgg is the best!

Rating + 2 Great pucture, horrible DVI interface

Pros: The picture quality is excellent, great for serious gaming and graphics work.

Cons: DVI interface is a total mess – if you buy this monitor and intend to use DVI-D mode (best quality), you have a 50/50 chance of ever getting it to work. DVI-A isn’t bad, but noticeably worse than DVI-D. Viewsonic support is just as worthless as the software supplied with the monitor.

Other Thoughts: This may become a great product, if Viewsonic sorts-out issues with compatibility, drivers and v/c interfaces.

Rating + 5 Viewsonic 21" Monitor

Pros: Great Monitor everything is good about it including the stand!

Cons: Playing movies in 1600x1200, most won't reach that resolution.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor for the price, everything included in package.

Rating + 3 Somewhat disappointing

Pros: It's lighter and uses less desk space than the CRT it replaced. (Didn't expect that insight, eh?)

Cons: As another reviewer noted, the stand on mine is of poor quality. Two of the feet are off the surface of my desk, so it wobbles. I juryrigged a fix for this.

Moving up(?) from a 21" Viewsonic CRT capable of 2048x1536 resolution, this unit's resolution fails to impress.

Rating + 5 Still A Company To Beat

Pros: What can I say, this Viewsonic is just great. Their quality and craftsmanship is just hard to beat. No dead pixels and a vary clean, clear, crisp LCD.
I use Adobe Photoshop and Cakewalk Sonar with dual monitors. FANTASTIC

Cons: I can't think of one.

Other Thoughts: Viewsonic RULES

Rating + 5 Mighty fine

Pros: Color, Brightness, 1600x1200, stand, color controls, video games (make up for response time with top notch game hardware), and viewing angles.

Cons: USB placement is unreachable, Movie playback at 1600x1200 questionable noticeable tearing in low quality videos, screen is too bright for a good black movie border, and the border thickness should be half; because they cheeped out on that.

Other Thoughts: I got TWO! Came off a 21" CRT... Taken some getting used to for games and media. Overall im more excited about using the computer. Helps when you working on them 13 hours a day. Your eyes will love you for it. Seriously though don't wake up or turn on your monitor after your puples have widened.

Rating + 5 LCDs Finally Arrive for Me

Pros: I've had Sonys, Samsungs, Princetons, Benqs and whatever Dell uses. Each had a flaw- too grainy, too dull ... something. I've also had some gorgeous CRTs- NECs, Sonys, etc. This is the FIRST LCD monitor I've had that I can honestly trade in my best CRT for. The picture of this one I feel is finally equal and uses only half the power. No dead pixels and I actually find it relieves space issues at work because the stand feet are FLAT.

Cons: I personally have no trouble with the stand- however, it has a standard mount for whatever stand or swingarm you may want to get. I've only used this at work and not for gaming- but I've not seen the ghosting problem in videos. You won't be able to do 1080p without compensation- you'll need the 1920x1200 (actaully 1080) to display it properly.

Other Thoughts: I've always liked 1600x1200 (even though I'm the kind of person they simply cannot make a display big enough for). I like having my documents open book at 100% and dot sizes that hide the jaggies effectively. This on it the equal of my NEC Multisync 990FE CRT and I rate it a tad better picture quality than the Dell 2405 I also use at work. My only ding is- I really want 1920x1200.

Pros: The screen is good. The pixel transition time of 8ms is visibly better than my girlfriend's 16ms LCD screen. We play a game called Breakquest (free demo online, google it) and you can see the difference. No dead pixels on delivery.

Cons: Black contrast is much poorer than CRTs. LCDs are still not good at deep contrast.

The stand is big and unbalanced. Two of the four feet are actually a few millimeters off of the surface of my desk -- it wobbles. The amount of desk space that it takes up compared to other LCDs of this size is large. Awful design.

I was not able to get this monitor's DVI input working under Debian GNU/Linux. I've opened up a bug on the xserver/xorg package as a result.

Other Thoughts: Newegg's deal pixel policy is abhorrent given how good manufactures have gotten at QA checking their LCDs before they get to consumers. It made me think twice about my purchasing here.

Rating + 4 one of the best lcd monitors out there

Pros: 21.3"!! 8ms!! great contrast!! and brightness!! all delivered at a great price. no dead pixels, highly adjustable stand, intuitive menus, dos not require supplied drivers (on WinXP64), no glare, usb hub.

Cons: now is that really 8ms refresh rate? i may be talking out of my usb port, but i swear i tell a ghost when i see one. i don't have any tech background to back it up, but on entirely black screen, bright-white objects leave a slight, barely-noticable trace. not a problem for me, but that is about the only thing worth mentioning here...

Other Thoughts: overall, great screen. highly recommended, if you can shell out the dough.

Rating + 5 best monitor I've ever owned

Pros: - Very sharp text and lines
- nice colors
- nice brightness - much much brigher than the vg181 I replaced (side by side, I can't believe how dim and yellowish my old monitor was.)
- no visible dots/screen pattern
- perfect size for layout and web work

Cons: None that I'm aware of yet with the monitor itself.

The 1600 x 1200 resolution pushes my 3dlabs video card to its limits when I try to enable a second display, so I'll likely have to get a higher quality /newer video card if I ever want to drive two of these.

Other Thoughts: I had also considered getting a dell 24" wide screen, but am very glad I didn't as on a normal size desk, this 21" is as wide as I would want. Any wider, and I believe I would start seeing differences of illumination due to the angle at the edges on a standard width desk.
