Good monitor, poor customer service
Pros: The monitor is crisp, clean, arrived without any dead pixels, doesn't ghost and achieves pretty much everything you'd want from a monitor in at a fir price.
Cons: The stand does not offer any adjustable height, just tilt. Prone to failure after 6-12 months where the screen blanks out, LED blinks green every second or so, and takes about 5 minutes to restore video. ViewSonic customer service has horrible replacement polices. The first time it must go in for repair, which will take 10-14 business days, with no replacement monitor.
Other Thoughts: While I do like the monitor, I will never buy from ViewSonic again. Their policies are terrible, their customer support bordering on rude, and would not come to an acceptable solution.

Great for all...except RTS
Pros: -bright -one of the lowest response times around -very crisp -no dead pixels -viewsonic quality -nice to look at -great for most games -viewing angle
Cons: -not fast enough response time for RTS (real time strategy) games for my liking
Other Thoughts: This is my first LCD Monitor and overall I'm pretty impressed. I play a variety of games, RTS being my favorite. Unfortunately, not even this monitor's great response time is fast enough for enjoyable blur-free gaming with games such as Rise of Nations. It's not horrible blur, but I'd much rather use a CRT for those kinds of games. But I guess if you compare the performance to other LCDs, this monitor is certainly top-notch. If you don't play RTS games like I do, I wouldn't waste another minute without this monitor.

Amazing LCD Monitor
Pros: This is my first LCD monitor, which I switched to from a 19" CRT about 9 months ago, and wow, what a difference! Everything seems so much clearer and sharper. Seeing as how I never used an LCD monitor with a higher response time (for gaming), all I can say is I do not notice any sign of ghosting. It's like using my CRT, expect much better (and lighter/smaller). Also, this is by far one of the best/most stylish looking monitors around!
Cons: The only con I could think of is that the backlight is a little bright for dark games, but still easily enjoyable. Also, the backlight bleeds a little on the top and bottom when looking at a completely black image. The default brightness was also a little much, had to turn it down a bit.
Other Thoughts: My Rig - EVGA 680i A1 | Intel Q6600 @ 3.0 GHz (w/Zalman 9700) | BFG 8800 GTX @ 626/2000 | 2x 1GB Corsair Dominator PC8500| Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty | PC P&C 750W Silencer | Thermaltake Armor Black Full Tower w/25CM Fan | 1x Western Digital SE16 500GB | 2x Western Digital SE16 250GB RAID-0 (Windows Vista x64) | 2x Western Digital SE16 250GB RAID-0 (Windows XP) | Logitech X-540 Surround Sound | Logitech G15 Keyboard + G5 Mouse | ViewSonic VX922 19" 2ms LCD

Roll of the dice
Pros: No dead pixels, I must be lucky.
Cons: Out of the box i had black light bleeding from the top. Ghosting is minimal but still there. About a week ago after having it for a year and 2 months it finally stopped working on me. Every time i would start up my computer the monitor would flicker and the monitor light would flash on and off.
Other Thoughts: I'm going to rma it to viewsonic ASAP and hope i can get a good one which probably won't happen.

Wish I bought it years ago.
Pros: From a gaming Veteran, this monitor has enhanced the experiance of all the games I play. Details in the game that I haven't been able to see with other monitors.
Cons: none

KEEP IT IN STOCK PLEASE
Pros: Good monitor that i can't wait to own.
Cons: Newegg sent me an email saying it was in stock. So i ordered one the same day. When i checked the order the next day, they said it was void because they didn't have the product in stock. I have been waitiing over a month. Its funny how they sent emails saying it was in stock when it wasn't.
Other Thoughts: I hope they credit my card in 2-3 days like they said.

There are better, but it's good
Pros: Very fast monitor. You won't get any ghosting from this guy.
Cons: After playing BF2 or EVE on this monitor and then playing on a friends, I realized there are better looking monitors. Colors seem great when you have nothing to compare them to, but put the VX922 beside a different monitor and you'll see that the colors are actually a bit dull.
Other Thoughts: I've had 2 of these for 2 years now and I love them. Cheap, fast, never a dead/stuck pixel.

Love 'Em
Pros: Purchased 2 for dual monitor setup. Very bright, had to bump the brightness all the way down. I like the one button input switching between digital and analog. I have the analog on one connected to a kvm. The display quality differs greatly depending on the source but do not blame poor resolution on the monitor. I could not detect any ghosting on FPS games at all.
Cons: One of the 2 had a pixel stuck on blue but it rubbed right out and has not returned. Hopefully not too many people will have problems with this but watch out.
Other Thoughts: Your display is only as good as the video card that is sending the signal. Image was fabulous on my eVGA 6800 Ultra 256 via DVI. I think my server has an MX400 and the display is muddled looking.

Last of the Breed
Pros: Great Design, No Dead Pix, Nice colors, good response, no shading. Have gotten the 17", gave to son, Then got 20.1" Widescreen for me, got sister this 19" all the same Design. All Perform Great.
Cons: Only con is to ViewSonic thinking the new design X-Series is better. I've seen the New X-Series and not impressed at all. This Design is by far their Best Work.
Other Thoughts: Shame on ViewSonic for even calling the New Design an X-Series. "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE" (Design).

Cons: None...
Other Thoughts: Helped me own noobs on CS:S. My last monitor was a old 17'' actually had only 12.5''.

Great monitor
Pros: Fantastic color, etc. Noticed a huge difference going to this from a flat-glass CRT. No issues whatsoever for me (win XP SP2). Great for gaming or whatever else. Great quality for a darn good price.
Cons: The stand itself is sturdy, but it wobbles if desk is bumped. Not really a big deal, since if I was doing something to bump the desk I would be wobbling a bit too.
Other Thoughts: I've been using this since December of last year and I love it. It's not a wide screen, but I really don't like wide screens, so I'm happy.

Awesome LCD!
Pros: High-quality monitor and nice details. The cables in the back tuck away nicely, the base is solid and monitor is easy to position. I have owned over 10 LCDs and this is the best one. It even looks bigger and better than my other 19 inches.
Cons: Price is high for a 19 inch.

amazing
Pros: absolutely amazing. great quality.
Cons: the ONLY pesky thing, is that it insists on being kept at the highest setting (ie the 1280 x 1024 pixel screen size)
Other Thoughts: I've got two of these set up to my computer. eventually I plan on getting duel video cards, and i'm hoping to get two more of these for 4 monitors total.

Worth Every Cent!
Pros: This monitor is awesome! I won at dead-pixel roulette, so I have zero complaints about the visuals. Even though I'm living off of student loans, this monitor was worth the penny-pinching to save up for. I am now considering how I could justify buying a second one, I'd love to run dual monitors with these.
Cons: None!

the best lcd ever
Pros: currently the fastest LCD by far. there are other 2ms displays, but this one looks the best. no shadowing, dead pixels, and problems. it also looks far better on a DVI connection but also looks awesome on a VGA connection. it is also very bright and crisp on other resolutions other than its native resolution (1280x1024).
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: i was a long time CRT user because of the faster refresh rates and the range of resolutions and brightness. but this unit looks far better than my 19 inch viewsonic CRT. this unit was the turning point from CRT's to LCD's for me and i have no regret!

Best 19" Ever built
Pros: I have this monitor since it has been released, if i'm not wrong it was around 2005 or somenthing alike.
I still have it, with no dead pixels. The only thing that happens is that somentimes, when through a great deal of black color it blurs a redish dead pixel, but after that the pixel vanishes, so not a biggie.
Cons: I wish the price was that when i first bought, paid around $450,00 with taxes + shipping.
The only thing that is bad is if you are playing fps games, you get flash-banged, the delay of the flashbang is more intense against a CRT. Except from that this monster is the best around.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a "best buy" in here, you just found. It's by far the best 19" non WIDE-SCREEN ever done by humankind. I have various examples to see from, and my lcd beats them all with no hard work.

Pretty nice monitor...
Pros: The colors are vibrant and the pictures are clear. The image quality for photos/movies is superb. It also works as expected (no dead pixels that we can spot).
Cons: Price relative to similar products - why does it cost more? The buttons on the front remind me of an 80's VCR. In a dark room the light (you know "backlit LCD light") bleeds through to the screen on the top - one gets used to it though. Also, in Counter-Strike Source, the screen is darker compared to my CRT and that makes it more difficult to navigate dark maps and spot other players even with the brightness/contrast turned up. The video card allows us to further increase the brightness but that causes other applications to appear washed out - it's difficult to make the screen look good for all applications.
Other Thoughts: Not sure if the 2ms response time makes any difference in movie playback / games.

Rebate?
Pros: Great Picture, good for gaming. Bought 2 of them.
Cons: I didn't get my rebate, instead I got a letter saying that they wouldn't give it to me because my purchase date didn't fall within the program date, which is wrong because the main reason I decided to finally purchase this monitor was because of the rebate.
Other Thoughts: Viewsonic needs to take better care of their customers, and Newegg should seriously look into this issue because I bought 2 of these and feel I have been cheated.

Love it.
Pros: Beautiful display. Colors show up really well. Being a flat screen, it saves a lot of room on my desk. The buttons on the monitor are helpful and make it easy to switch from my computer desktop to my gaming system I have hooked up to it.
Cons: Even though it started out with no dead pixels, I have a few now. They are hardly noticable.
Other Thoughts: Loved the monitor so much I got a second one. So now I have twice the awesomeness. I watch a lot of videos on my computer and this product just enhances it. I don't even use my TVs for anything anymore because these are top notch.

So far so good
Pros: Had it for 4 months now. Monitor has worked very well. Bright with good color saturation. No dead pixels. The stand works fine for me.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: When I first powered it up, I thought there was a dead pixel. Turns out to be a piece of dust. Wheww....

My First LCD Monitor
Pros: Lightweight, takes up very little desk space compared to my old CRT. Square LCD at 1280 x 1024 feels just like my old 19" CRT except it is slightly bigger in actual screen space. Excellent front panel controls for adjusting contrast, brightness, and color (easy setup). Reasonably priced and quick shipping.
Cons: Icons and text suffer from not having full color depth (16.7 million colors), icons especially look 16-bit at 32-bit settings. One bad pixel in upper left corner (pretty good for 1280 x 1024, but not perfect). Slight light along top causes quarter inch gray area across top (rest of screen appears black).
Other Thoughts: Well this is my first LCD monitor, which I purchased after careful research. It replaced an old Viewsonic 19" CRT monitor that I have always liked. I actually went to local stores to look at Samsung, HP, LG, Viewsonic, and others. Most of those were widescreen, which is not supported by my older graphics card. I hit all the usual sites and kept coming back to this monitor as far as being the best match for replacing my old CRT monitor. I have always had good luck with Viewsonic monitors and hope this one holds up as well as my old CRT's. Being a color purist, I still wish fast LCD monitors went out to the full 16.7 million colors but I guess I will have to wait for the technology to get there at a reasonable price. I did fire up some FPS games with rain, shadows, fog, fire, and couldn't see any ghosting on this monitor at its native resolution which is one of the main reasons I picked this monitor. My kids love it and feel that we have finally moved out of the stone age.

BEST DESIGN by ViewSonic
Pros: This is by far the best design ViewSonic has put out. Good looking, Great Picture, Color, Brightness, No Gosting during Game Play. No Dead P's, and has Long Life.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: Have the 17" VX715 (Over 3 Years) The 20.1" VX2025wm (Over 1 year) and This one VX922 just gottin' for my Sister. The Brightness and colors on all of them are as nice as the day they were delivered. Sad to think that ViewSonic May think their current Designs are better.

Incredible
Pros: I was a little worried buying my first LCD monitor especially with so many reviews with dead pixels or complete lines dead. This one looked better than any I researched in my price range and I couldn't be happier. No dead pixels, incredibly clear. Oblivion looks amazing and I also do a lot of Photoshop work and pictures are so clear and easy to work on.
Cons: I only wish that it could be rotated 90°.
Other Thoughts: A great monitor with a great appearance and great quality for an affordable price and for once I feel like I have room on my desk.

Very Professional
Pros: This LCD is simply amazing. It's tall, well proportioned, sturdy, and looks very classy and professional with its silver trim and hollow base. The colors on this LCD are all very vivid and when ran in 1280x1024 resolution, everything looks amazing - from games, to text, to movies, etc. Also, the monitor is very tightly and efficiently packed by Viewsonic, insuring it will arrive in top quality. Gaming is superb with no ghosting or lag time as well.
Cons: Not much to gripe about except 1 dead/stuck pixel in the low center of my LCD. It's not noticeable at all and isn't in my direct view, so I am fine with it, as others have had far worse luck with dead pixels. If you are so picky as to let 1 or 2 dead pixels ruin your LCD experience then you may not want to even start using LCDs at all. Other than that there is a light bleed out at the top of the LCD, which only appears on completely black images, but doesn't bother me at all personally.
Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a very professional looking, top of the line, gaming LCD, this could be for you.

Very nice monitor
Pros: Very sleek looking, amazing dislpay, especially with DVI, smooth design, and great functionality
Cons: None, except for a first timer on a 19". These are HUGE, beware of that. They are almost overwhelming. A widescreen is better for conventional use. not for gaming however. Just be advised..
Other Thoughts: <3 newegg

Solid Monitor
Pros: Overall, this is a very good monitor for the price. It has excellent picture quality, especially in game, has no issues with ghosting or dead pixels as some have said, and is a reasonable size for the price.
Cons: With LCD prices going down, this has stayed around the same 250-300 range. But still worth the extra cash.
Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this to anyone upgrading from an old, huge back monitor. You will definitely notice a huge difference.

A little disappointed
Pros: This monitor is fast, but that’s all it is. Text in a webpage looks pretty good. Would make for a good office monitor, the text is clean.
Cons: I thought for the money I spent I’d get something of higher quality than this. The backlight bleeds through about a half inch on the top and bottom of the screen for the entire horizontal stretch. It’s real annoying watching DVDs with light gray bars on the top and bottom of the screen that should be black. It’s a complete eye-sore. The colors are just bland, they have no richness to them at all. I hooked up a 17 inch LCD I had kicking around and put them in an nvidia clone view (both DVI). The colors on the VX922 were grayish and bland compared to the 17 inch. I played with all of the menu settings with little improvement. I even called viewsonic three times, and 2 different people told me that this behavior was normal for this model. The third told me I could send it back at my cost for repair, but if there was nothing wrong with it, I would be out of luck anyway. It’s unfortunate I have to leave my first negative newegg review for something I was looking so forward to :/

The Best in 2ms!
Pros: No dead pixels. The picture is clear and sharp with vibrant colors. You'll benefit from turning down the brightness when you get it. I actually have 2 comps hooked up to it, but with the 'Input Selector' feature I am able to switch between analog (VGA) and digital (DVI-D) hookups very easily. If only one comp is on, it auto-detects the feed. Sure I have two keyboards and two mice, but it beats paying bucko bucks for a DVI-D KVM switch.
Cons: It dropped in price a few bucks since I snatched it up. The connections on the rear of the monitor point downwards and are boxed in by the stand mount, so be prepared for some delicate cable bending during your initial hook-up. It comes with a DVI-S cable in addition to a standard VGA cable, but it should come with a DVI-D. Thankfully, NewEgg has some nice DVI-D cables for cheap.
Other Thoughts: I was skeptical about switching from CRT to LCD, but this monitor is solid for all applications. Just turn the brightness down first thing!

19", you must be kidding.
Pros: OH MY GOODNESS!! WOW, this screen is so beautiful. I cant believe the fact that it's 19" because it looks so much bigger. I think it may have to do with the 5:4 ratio, but what ever it is, WOW!. Very elgant piece. Worth ever penny. Simply amazing. Native res is 1280-1024. Very bright. Did not even need to adjust from factory preset.
Cons: I would recommend against using the drivers, they are not digitaly signed. The OSD (on screen display) is just fine for adjusting the colors. Newegg really needs a better packing system, the box was closed only with the box flap and not even taped.
Other Thoughts: I orignaly purchased the acer x191wsd (widescreen) from b***b** first. I had it for two weeks and on the 14 day, I returned it to order this one from newegg, glad I did. Widescreen is really for movie buffs, I am a gamer. Oh BF2 looks perfect. This screen is for gamers. You will not go wrong with this screen.

Pros: I have had this LCD for over a year and never once have I regretted buying this. I am a PC gamer, and for those CRT gamers worried that LCD's wont cut it, this is the LCD for you.
Cons: Wish it had a higher contrast ratio but it still looks great to me.

Pros: This monitor is great. I went from a very old CRT to this and I almost went blind. Its an awesome montior for FPS games and videos
Cons: None that I have noticed
Other Thoughts: I would Highly recommend this montior for any hardcore gamer

Best LCD
Pros: I have two of these in front of me, and I have to say that these are the best monitors I've ever owned. When using more than one monitor, an Ergotron stand is a must. Newegg sells 'em, and they're worth it for multiple monitors. The color on these things is great! Games play great with no noticeable ghosting.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: Don't get all down in the dumps if ghosting is mentioned during this monitor's review. Sure it's THERE, but it's so SMALL that you won't notice it unless you're looking for it. ViewSonic makes a quality product, and these will last you for many years to come. No dead pixels! :-)

Sweet monitor
Pros: Awesome monitor that can take a graphical beating :)
Cons: I have had the monitor for almost a year and have only managed to get 1 stuck pixel (I could probably unstick it if I tried, dark blue on black, can't see while gaming)
Other Thoughts: I use this monitor everyday and play have played lots of counter strike, Oblivion, need for speed carbon etc on it and yet is still works amazingly!!

Great Great Screen
Pros: I bought it when it costed like $xxx in stores. No regrets. You should see it to understand. The clarity is so amazing and the speed is awesome (thanks to Digital DVI output). Colors and brightness is just awesome allowing me to sit for hours playing or doing anything else. Very nice for gaming. At highest resolution (1280 x 1024) games look simly tasty. Oblivion plays so real and sharp same with other games. Also is looks sleek and stlylish and with nice black and white speakers added it all looks beautiful. ViewSonic Rocks!!!
Cons: None whatsoever.
Other Thoughts: My other thought is: I just love Viewsonic LCDs.

No Problems
Pros: Perfect picture, no ghosting, shadows or bleeding. Stand is very stable, no dead or stuck pixels. Very clear and text looks very crisp. Much better than my five year old CRT monitor.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Shipped in its original box, nothing was taped. The monitor was rattling around in the box. Newegg should at least add extra packing to the box.

ViewSonic VX922
Pros: This monitor has great specs and was highly reviewed (jan. 2006). Display is bright and crisp. I game and watch movies on this extensively and never once had an issue.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: This monitor is on 24/7 and I spend about 4 hours a day gaming on it. Was an excellent purchase.

nice lcd monitor
Pros: good color, good refresh, games work great on this monitor, no dead pixels, my monitor does not appear to have the bleed others are talking about.
Cons: if anything, not enough of a contrast adjustment.
Other Thoughts: I was hesitant to purchaase this monitor, especially after my viewsonic P95fb died at just over a year old. I also tend to be pretty picky when it comes to monitors, and in the past would only purchase CRTs that used aperture grill technology, which in my opinion is still the best, but what are you gonna do? I must admit there is some "getting used to lcd" after using a CRT for so long, and text is still not as crisp as I would like, but overall, this monitor seems to be worth what I paid for it.

Cons: No cons really, except the price. oh yeah its takes up a good bit of space but not alot..just make sure you have room for this
Other Thoughts: GET THIS MONITOR!!!

Great Monitor
Pros: Excellent picture fidelity. Much better than my old viewsonic value series 19" The monitor feels like a quality build.
Cons: Could have a higher contrast ratio. Very minor light bleeding at the bottom when you look at it from some angles.
Other Thoughts: My Va912b broke, Viewsonic replaced it with this for free. Needless to say, I'm happy. There's a reason that this monitor costs so much.

Great Monitor!
Pros: I went ahead and got the vx922 before i finished building my desktop, so I've been running it off of my laptop...wow, does this ever make a difference. Fast refresh, I've watched DVDs on it with excellent picture quality. I can make good quality wallpapers off of screen capture with it. No dead pixels. Nothing but praise for ViewSonic.
Cons: Nothing yet :)
Other Thoughts: System: HP Pavillion dv6110: AMD turion 64x2 1.6GHz, 128MB nVidia integrated graphics, 1GB RAM, XP MCE

Pros: Great for gaming. No ghosting at all. I really was suprised with the visual quality of this LCD. Also I had no dead pixels.
Cons: none

great monitor
Pros: This is my first LCD monitor after gaming with CRT's for a long time. I can honestly not tell the difference. The picture quality and refresh rate are both superb.
Cons: None. Except for the fact that it's incredibly bright, but this can easily be turned down.
Other Thoughts: If you game a lot and think its still necessary to use CRT monitors, you should definitely take a look at this LCD.

simply awesome
Pros: Simply said, the picture quality of this monitor is FANTASTIC. I love the styling and the price is unbeatable. I was really concerned about dead pixels before I purchased it but, it just so happend to come without any. I upgraded from an crt and I must say I waited way to long since you can not go wrong with this buy.
Cons: only thing I can think of is the bleed out visible all around the edges of the screen with most of it being on top. This for me is absolutely NO problem at all, since you can't really see it until something black covers the screen.
Other Thoughts: newegg did ANOTHER fine job, the quality service always surprises me although I should be used to it by now. THANKS

Great Moitor
Pros: Bright, clear display. Text looks very good on this thing. The last one I tried(not a Viewsonic) did not display text very well. Very light and takes up very little space on my desk, unlike my 22" CRT which weighs 74 pounds and occupies the area of a football field. Great for gaming. The response time is very good. No dead pixels for me. HOORAY!!
Cons: Colors are not as rich as my NEC CRT. Don't get me wrong, they are very good. I knew this would probably be the case and I can get pretty close after optimizing both displays(running two monitor setup). Still not as clear overall as the CRT. I went into this purchase knowing that it probably wouldn't be, so it's not really a huge con. Not enough to make me send it back. The space savings is enough for me alone.
Other Thoughts: Great monitor! In addition to the great response time and small footprint, it looks good too! Hey, this thing actually comes with a DVI cable!! What a crazy idea! I wish all companies would include cables with their products.

Beautiful Monitor!
Pros: I upgraded from an older 17" Viewsonic CRT that finally bit the dust. I wish I had upgraded sooner; the screen size is wonderful, colors are crisp, bright is bright, dark is dark, and no dead pixels that I see. Plus the extra desk space is nice.
Cons: Had to turn down the brightness a smidgen to keep my eyes from burning, but now it's fine.

Don't buy this
Pros: Was good for a month, until it blew up on me out of the blue.
Cons: Died in a month. While playing Quake 4 the power suddenly started cycle on and off until it fried and smoke came out of the top of it with a nasty electric smell (this was after I had shut down the PC as well). This is the first time I've actually had any sort of computer equipment fry on me. Since it's been one month and one week after I bought it, it's no longer available to RMA to Newegg.
Other Thoughts: This monitor was a replacement for my VX924 which exhibited the same behavior with the power cycling on and off, but only after the monitor had been turned off for a bit. I had the VX924 for only a year when the above started to happen. I don't even know if it's worth my time to try to RMA this to Viewsonic themselves, since I'd have to pay probably $20 or more for the shipping and I highly doubt they'd just give me a new monitor for free. Probably charge another $50 or so for "repairs" and then have the same thing happen.

If Einstein invented a monitor instead of those stupid theories, this would be the result
Pros: Just received this monitor and hooked it up, installed the drivers, and it worked perfect right out of the box.
I'm a Graphic Designer and semi-pro PC gamer, and this monitor is amazing. If you're worried about response time in games, the 2ms time on this monitor is what you want. I can notice a delay with even 8-10ms of delay, but with this I don't notice a single thing.
As far as my Designing goes, I havn't yet adjusted the color settings, the brightness, or contrast because they seem perfect as-is, like the last reviewer said. All of my previously created works look better then they did on my old monitor (granted it was a very old CRT), and my works look better then on many of the LCD screens used at my college (high-end Dells and Apple screens).
Unlike the last reviewer however, I have absolutely NO DEAD PIXELS! It's not that I can't see any, I have good eyesight, I just truly have none. At first I thought I saw a few, but a soft rub and they were fine.
Cons: The only downfall I can find with this monitor is a lack of height-adjustment, but the height is perfect for me. It's maybe half an inch taller then my previous monitor, which also lacked height adjustment.
Other Thoughts: This was a gift to me, so money wasn't really an issue for me, which is why I chose this over all others. Although, it is actually a great price for what you get. Great monitor overall!

Fast Monitor, No Bells and Whistles
Pros: This is probably the fastest LCD monitor on the market and it shows. My games run very smoothly and look great on this display. I was very impressed with its response time. The display is also very bright. The On-Screen Display is easy to use and clear. Even though this monitor has been around for a while, it still has its place as the fastest around
Cons: The monitor has no extras. It doesn't have speakers, USB ports, or any of the other stuff you may see on LCDs today.
Other Thoughts: Who needs all the extras when you can have to sheer speed of this display. I think this LCD is worth the price for any gamer.

Best LCD monitor for your money
Pros: It's a ViewSonic, this is my second LCD made by them. This VX922 has brillant color, brightness and it's amazing how clear everthing looks on it. It's solid built & professional looking. The quality of this monitor is the best I've seen in long time. No ghosting during gaming with all games at the highest settings. Good for video editing, and regular office software use as well.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: No dead pixels. It wasn't doubled boxed during shipping like others have stated but the box it comes in is pretty thick cardboard and it has good solid foam around the monitor to protect it. I like this LCD so much I will be buying a second one very soon!

GORGEOUS
Pros: I've had this monitor for about 6 months now. I bought it when it was on sale for xxx$. It's still hands down the best monitor on the planet for the price.
Cons: The only complaint, the stand doesn't rotate. It's fixed in position, other than up and down.
Other Thoughts: If you don't buy this monitor, you're a fool.

Pros: No dead pixels and a super fast and crisp display. I'm a gamer and I've been holding on to my ViewSonic CRT until it finally died, scared to get a LCD.
I'm more than happy with the extra space on my gaming desk. World of WarCraft, Oblivion, C&C 3, etc. are all crisp and beautiful!
Cons: A little bright by default and colors are a little on the red side. A little tweaking in the begenning gives you a great payoff in the end.

Viewsonics are bad
Pros: Looks good - Good Warranty - Easy RMA
Cons: does not work for very long
Other Thoughts: As an IT professional/purchasing agent for a large IT department I have bought several different types of monitors, This is my 5th Viewsonic (multiple models purchased) to die and be RMA'd. The girl that took my RMA over the phone even admitted they have *alot* of RMA's when i mentioned that a lot of their monitors seem to break. If you are looking for reliability i would not go for this brand overall. It cant be coincidence that we have had 5 break.

Great Monitor
Pros: No dead Pixels, 2ms Response time is lightning fast, great experience with first lcd
Cons: Not Free, Could have a better contrast ratio.
Other Thoughts: After my 22" CRT died, I was stuck using a little 17" CRT with about a 15" viewable area, this of course killed me, and brought on my desire to buy a good LCD, being a big gamer I was always afraid of ghosting on LCDs with lower refresh rates, but this monitor has absolutely none of that, so I am very pleased.

VX922 Rocks!
Pros: Totally awesome image. Crisp and bright, great color depth. I've had other LCDs and suffered ghosting and overall cloudiness from the poor response for an overall unsatisfactory picture. Not with this baby. Great viewing angle, very forgiving of room lighting, more so than my CRT. NewEgg shipping also rocked as always... I love these guys.
Cons: None. I couldn't be happier.
Other Thoughts: Gonna buy another one when I can. And if you're having problems booting to DVI, it isn't the monitor. Get a better video card or updated drivers.

Fast and Sharp
Pros: This is the second VX922 I have bought from NewEgg. First monitor worked great - no dead pixels. I liked it so much I had to have another one. This one arrived in perfect working order as well. I play BF2 - BF2142 - Half Life 2 and Fear; I do not see any ghosting at all. Response is as good as a CRT I think.
Cons: Box should have been taped shut, but was not open when I received it. Everything was inside.
Other Thoughts: Shipping was fast, If I did not order on Saturdays it would get to me faster. My fault....

Great monitor
Pros: I had a 19" kds crt monitor that was dying, and needed replacement. Since crt's seem to be going the way of the dinosaur and I use my computer for graphics and gaming 90% of the time, I looked into getting a quality lcd with a very low ms. I was pleasantly surprised to find that 19 inches on an lcd is slightly larger than on a crt. Color quality is super. I couldn't believe how vibrant the colors were. Things in some of my games that I'd never noticed before just seemed to jump out at me. For people coming from a crt to an lcd, even 2ms refresh won't be the same as a crt. There is still refresh lag if you move around very quickly in a fps for example. However after a short period of time to get used to it, the difference in fast paced games like ut2k4 or quake 3 wasn't enough to be a problem. based on this experience I'd be kinda afraid to go any higher than 2ms though, I play at such a fast rate in fps games that I really need a low ms. quake 3 with a 16ms lcd = absolutely horrible.
Cons: One pixel is stuck on a blue tint, I rarely notice it except on game loading screens that are completely black. One of these days I'll get motivated and try one of those programs that loosens up stuck pixels.
Other Thoughts: Did the input lag test, it had zero lag show up. This is important especially for gamers, if you've already got 20-70ms lag on your game, you can't have your monitor adding another 10-20ms. I'm not sure if the powers that be for newegg reviews will let this link in, this is a picture of the proof of my input lag test for those of you who doubt :o)

This is the one to get!!!
Pros: Man, I just got this monitor to take a step up from my old one and a step up is an understatement! The colors are crisper, the smoothness on even the fastest moving graphics is amazing, and all around it simply blows my old monitor out the water.
Cons: just a minor con... as many already stated, the stand only tilts and doesn't adjust up and down. however, that wasn't enough for me to bump it down an egg, as that's not a big deal to me anyway.
Other Thoughts: this monitor is a great buy for the price. it really does live up to it's response time claims. i compared my old monitor to it side by side and the improvement on this one was clear as day.

the best lcd gaming monitor hands down
Pros: excellent viewing angles from every aspect of the monitor.. just flawless on how beautiful the brightness and the resolution are displayed on this lcd monitor, my theory is if your going to watch movies or play games and your looking for top of the notch gaming lcd's out there, look no further.

Pros: Excellent monitor for gaming, great response, great color, couldn't be more pleased with the purchase
Cons: 1 dead pixel out of the box, tho i don mind, its only in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. I've had the monitor for a good 4 months now and havent had any other dead pixels pop up since i first got it.

Unique characteristics
Pros: Good image quality, although color saturation and depth leaves a bit to be desired. Good all-around monitor (NOT used for gaming, ever). Great price point!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Unlike any of the other Viewsonic LCD monitors, this one is a bit more suitable for dusty environments. There are very small vent slots in this unit (unlike most LCDS, which have hige vent areas), so very little dust can get inside the display electronics. Despite the virtually nonexistent vent slots, however, the VX922 runs substantially COOLER than any other Viewsonic LCD display, or any of those from other manufacturers I've checked in operation.

Awesome
Pros: Great for gaming, not bad for everything else. The weight and dimensions of it makes this perfect for taking to LAN parties. My 75lbs Trinitron was just weighing me down.
Cons: Had to fiddle with settings to get it just right, but I have never had a monitor that came with perfect settings out of the box. After fine-tuning this, I am very happy with this monitor.
Other Thoughts: I am using this as my secondary monitor at the moment. I have a dual monitor setup, my primary is a 21" Dell Trinitron CRT, but it weighs about 75lbs. I bought this monitor because it has the same viewing area as my 21", the response time is great, and it weighs like 15lbs. Wonderful reviews for it as well.

Awesome
Pros: great colors! I went from a trusty, dusty tube monitor, albiet a very good one, to this great monitor and haven't looked back sense. More than fast enough for games and accurate colors for photoshop.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I would recommend it to friends

Excellent monitor...
Pros: so far. The 2ms response time is what grabbed my attention. Picture is clear, sharp and nice. No dead pixels. Good replacement for my recently deceased Gateway CRT monitor.
Cons: None. A few folks have complained that the support was flimsy, but I have no such complaint. There's no height adjustment, but I'm okay with that, too.
Other Thoughts: I'm probably among the last of the CRT diehards, but I do like the VX922. Gameplay is smooth with no ghosting. Picture quality is excellent at the native resolution of 1280x1024.

Terrible Monitor
Pros: No dead pixels; it turned on.
Cons: I purchased two of these monitors, and both of them came with the exact same symptoms so the following applies to both monitors I purchased: The left side of the screen had a sepia colored tint to it, while the right side was normal. Text was terrible and hard to read as it was quite distorted and not clear at all. I had to constantly hit the "Factory Reset" button every time the monitor went on standby or when I powered up my computer, or when I came out of playing a full-sized game, in order to fix the text. Very annoying.
Other Thoughts: I purchased one of these from a local retail store and found it to have the above described symptoms. Went back for an exchange only to get the exact same symptoms. I can only recommend this monitor if you enjoy hitting the "factory reset" button every time you finish playing a full-sized game, turning your computer on, rebooting your computer, and coming back to a monitor that has gone on standby. If you can deal with that in addition to having the entire left side of the screen have a sepia color to it (as opposed to white), then sure. Go for it. But for this price, I think you are getting ripped off. The only remotely appealing part of this product is the 2ms response time, and I did not notice a difference between 2ms and 8ms monitors. I am currently on a 6ms HP monitor. Overall, I am completely baffled as to how this monitor has such a high customer rating on Newegg - I gave this monitor two tries and had the Exact Same symptoms on both. Coincidence? I think not.

Pros: For what it's designed to do it does very well. Picture quality is very good and doesn't miss a beat while gaming.
Cons: No height adjustment or anything like that. I wonder why they would leave that out? The viewing angles really suck, which makes it all the more important you're at eye level with it. Thankfully neither of these issues effects me.

My first LCD
Pros: I have no previous ownership of an LCD monitor. However, I can state that there has been no problems watching movies. The specification of "2 millisecond" is probably correct.
Cons: Came with one defective pixel in the center, but I was able to get a replacement, which is free of defect.

Excellent LCD Monitor
Pros: The VX922 has a bright crisp, clear display and is great for gaming. It will run anything you throw at it with little or no blurring or ghosting.
Cons: This product has a wobbly and flimsy stand. It moves sways back and forth when my knee or feet hit the dest or when i pull my chair up close to the desk and hit it withthe front seat of the chair. this is the only reason i gave it a 4 out of 5 eggs. other than this flaw it's the perfect non-widescreen monitor for ANY application
Other Thoughts: It's not a widescreen and since Bill Gates Vista favors widescreens and doesn't like to approve of non-widescreens you might want to think of purchasing a widescreen because we all know M$ and it's henchmen hardware manufacturing companies are forcing everyone to buy what THEY feel is best for you... This is something you might want to consider before purchasing this or any non-widescreen lcd monitor for it seems these non -widescreens will be going out of style within the next 2 years and are considered by many already out of date. If you decide to go with a widescreen lcd i suggest going with the Samsung 226bw, the one i almost bought at circuit city before i bought this one but didn't because the salespeople don't know how to wait on customers.

Great Monitor
Pros: Great picture, crisp, clean. Absolutely no ghosting, even in games such as Counter Strike, Battlefield 2, or Vanguard. I was one of the skeptics that was not so keen on the LCD's because of the dead pixel issue, but I got this monitor and after 6 months of owning it I still only have one unnoticeable dead pixel on the far right side of the screen. Awesome color, and great response time. I'd venture to say it's the best 19" LCD on the market.
Cons: Not really a con but when it first turns on in the morning it has a halo aura around the edge of the screen. It goes away after about 5-10 minutes.
Other Thoughts: I have suggested this monitor to friends and family and had 3 or 4 people buy it so far. Simply the best monitor at 19" for an LCD hands down.

Good - Fast
Pros: Very fast, no dead pixels, no ghosting, very good for gaming.
Cons: Very suitable for gaming, but the brightness and 1280x1024 resolution make it less than perfect for text editing and other work/office tasks. Backlight bleeding on dark screens at all four edges.

Viewsonic VX922
Pros: This monitor is superb by far! I have bought various Viewsonic products through the years and this is another that does not disappoint. I use this monitor for my secondary dual head display and am actually considering changing it to my primary over my Viewsonic 20" Widescreen. It is crips and clear and perfect at it's native resolution for viewing web pages and reading my email. The colors and imagery are excellent with no ghosting. I play some online gaming and have found no problems whatsoever this this monitor. Initially it was quite bright out of the box so I had to tone that down. That to me is a plus though as I would rather turn down the brightness then to have to adjust it higher and not have it be enough still.
Cons: There aren't any!
Other Thoughts: There may be other monitors out there for cheaper costs but this one is well worth the price. Believe me I researched for almost a month before I bought this monitor and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Crisps and did i mention bright
Pros: Its clear and bright, great quality images and 2ms response time, definetly a mandatory gaming monitor.
Cons: i think its the cable, well im actually sure it is, my monitor has a blue hue to it and if i move the cable around it stops. i gets kinda annoying so veiwsonic supply some better cables.
Other Thoughts: nice, nice, nice.. um get it, 19in is more than enough trust me

Pros: The frame, stand and so forth were of a nice, sturdy construction.
Cons: Defective on arrival with a ghosted image, blotchy color, streaks of color, shaking picture, and lines going both ways. Awaiting replacement.

VX922 is an Excellent Choice
Pros: I should start by saying I've had a 19" giant CRT forever. I tried upgrading to a LCD awhile back but the ghosting drove me nuts. I love high end gaming, and am constantly trying to max my performance. When I heard about this monitor I had to get it. It was one of the best purchases I've made. No dead pixels, zero ghosting in every game I've played, excellent style.
A+ Choice for Gamers
My 2nd one should be here any minute.
Cons: On the down side it has no height adjustment, this didn't matter to me but make sure you have room before ordering it.
Also, if you arent worried about ghosting then save 100 bucks and get a different view sonic. The response time is the REAL reason to buy this monitor.
Other Thoughts: If you are finally looking to get an LCD for gaming. THIS IS THE MONITOR FOR YOU.

Its good!!!
Pros: Does not ghost during FPS games. No dead pixels. Worth every penny.
Cons: very very very minor- some color adjustment necessary at first.
Other Thoughts: I would love to have another for dual monitor action!

Could do Better for Your Money
Pros: This monitor came with no dead pixels
Cons: picture quality could be much improved. Ergonomics are not the best - limited adjustability. Colors seem unnatural and washed out. Left side of screen has a yellowish tint to it when it should be white. Bought two monitors and had same issue with yellow tint. Not the greatest viewing angle.
Other Thoughts: I am thinking of returning this monitor to where I originally bought it from. I am disappointed with this buy as I expected higher quality from Viewsonic. Overall a very average monitor, but I suppose the 2ms response time is good. Text clarity needs improvement, I have to "Memory Recall" from the menu before any text is readable. Quite an annoying nuisance I have to do everytime I come back from idle or standby. I would recommend to buy another product.

Love it!
Pros: I bought 2 of these and they are connected to a BFG nVidia 7900 GS OC. Very bright, look great. Very happy with my purchase.
Cons: Both came with 1 stuck pixel. One was able to be fixed via massaging, but the other is still stuck (still working on it).

Nice Monitor
Pros: The monitor was shipped with no dead or stuck pixels. Modifying the settings is quite easy, and it is possible to run both dvi and vga at the same time, and switching requires only a button press.
Cons: Monitor is slightly shaky on DVD playing, but I think this is only a problem when sitting 4 feet from the screen. This monitor is extremely bright as well.
Other Thoughts: The monitor is quite tall. Approximately 18.5" from bottom to top with no vertical adjustments, so make sure you check your desk fit. Also, I have played a few games so far with this monitor and I notice no ghosting. Those that say there is horrible ghosting are really just over picky and should stick with CRT or are on a hallucinagenic drug.

The Best Gaming Monitor I have ever owned
Pros: Absolutely stunning graphics. I am not a photo editor so I will not comment on color accuracy. I use this strictly for gaming and web surfing. This is unquestionably the best LCD monitor I have ever gamed on. I have owned this monitor for 9 months now, without any problems. I have purchased many dozens (no exaggeration) of LCD monitors, over the years, and this one has performed the best, so far. Gaming is a joy, on this monitor. I run all games at 1280 x 1025 (refresh 75Hz) with a 7950GT and have never seen any smearing (ghosting). No dead pixels. I still prefer the 3:4 aspect ratio over the widescreen, though others may not see this as a big positive.
Cons: Price. Although it is considerably less expensive now then when I purchased this monitor, it is still kind of expensive relative to other offerings.
Other Thoughts: I paid over 9 Ben Franklins for my first Viewsonic 19" monitor (with a 25ms response time - which was state of the art at that time). These monitors have come a long way since then. I had been disappointed by several of my Viewsonic LCD monitors, in the past, but this one makes up for all of those. I can't begin to express how good this thing looks. If you are a gamer, you won't be disappointed.

Love It (almost)
Pros: Excellent Monitor!! Yes, it is BRIGHT - adjust the brightness. The monitor options menu is very easy to use. It is nice to have more desk space.
Cons: I would have given it a 5 but...out of the 4 that we have bought I am the lucky one to have 2 dead pixels and a small blemish...............

Pros: Great display, bright, clean, and crisp. Playing DOD:S, CS:S, and CS on 1280 by 1024, and it's great, I don't notice any ghosting.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: No dead pixels, fast shipping as always. Thanks Newegg!

Pros: Very fast almost no ghosting, some time some games you can see some blur. Very Classy looking, Newegg Rocks
Cons: Non so far no dead pixels yet either
Other Thoughts: Kinda wish i would have gotten a wide screen now.. But other then that i will only upgrade to a 22" when the fastest one comes out.. cause ghosting SUCKS!

GOOD!!!
Pros: I bought two, one for my new comp one for my old, my dad bought one, and my brother bought one too. They are so good!
Cons: My dad's has two dead pixels, my two don't. I am not sure about my brother's, haven't gotten it yet.
