The quality is too good for the price. Cons: The bag is too small, the cables might damage the projector. Viesonic should make it a little bit bigger. Seriously! The picture is crisp and clear using composite, s-video and VGA inputs. I use mine for watching TV and DVDs, playing video games and projecting my laptop screen onto the wall. Text is clear at 1280x800 resolution. I'm very happy with this projector. Cons: Like another reviewer said this projector has a hard time displaying some shades of yellow. I would not have picked up on this right away if the other reviewer didn't mention it though. I rarely, if ever, notice in day to day use, only when I'm looking for the washed out yellow. Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this projector, especially with the price. It works with the universal mount I bought from NewEgg too. Bright and fast on start-up. Simple controls and a nice remote. Cons: The case is not only useless, but would be dangerous to use. Stuffing the cables and remote into that case would surely damage the projector’s controls. So plan on buying a new case if you need a projector for the road. Did you find this review helpful? Craigo Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week	2/9/2007 11:14:53 PM Not Exactly Impressed Pros: The only thing that impresses me about this projector is it's 1080i HDTV image and overall high resolution quality. Colors are OK from my digital cable box. Cons: I'm not impressed with the colors on my PC at all! True color images look grainy with lots of image artifacts, and yellows are horribly represented. I could also do without the "rainbow affect" created by DLP technology. Other Thoughts: I've been using a Viewsonic PJ501 800x600 LCD projector for the last 3 years and have been extremely happy with it. I think I would have been better off getting a high resolution LCD TFT Viewsonic Projector. As always I am extremely happy to purchase these products from Newegg! Did you find this review helpful? Cons: Fan makes a little noise but once the movie sound starts it is drowned out. Other Thoughts: Very simple interface.. Bought this for my parents to use and if they can understand it anyone can... Used this Projector for a Fire dept training center with a limited budget, and the results were awsome. Definently worth the money. Highly recommended. Cons: The focus isn't as good on more expensive models. Other Thoughts: This is a cost effective alternate to more exspensive Projectors, and with 2000 lumins you can produce awsome results. We use for business meetings, etc. Cons: The remote does not control or advance a PowerPoint slide show. Both Powerpoint and video look great. Everything fits neatly into the included carrying case. I would highly recommend this projector. The menu is easy to navigate, and it's very easy to switch between sources. Keystone is simple to adjust, and I can't see any distortion. Can't beat it for the price. GavinLeigh Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year	9/5/2006 6:38:33 AM Color is an issue. Pros: The unit is compact and light weight and comes with a carry case. Easy to hook up and fast to turn on. It's also pretty cheap, and has a high contrast ratio. Cons: Color rendition is bad, with the unit being particularly poor at reproducing yellows. The closest you can get is a dirty orange, when you want a vibrant yellow. RMA'd unit through viewsonic (easy process) but color is still an issue. Other Thoughts: This unit will be fine for presentations, but lacks the subtle colors needed for accurate movie playback. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you? I am using it for video and it looks excellent. Cons: None yet but the fan does seem loud when not in eco mode. Other Thoughts: The case it comes with is nice but all the cords dont fit into it. N/A Tech Level: high Ownership: less than 1 day	8/15/2006 3:44:34 PM Died Overnight Pros: Very bright, looks good even on a beige wall. Easy hook-up and small size. Cons: Zoom is limited. After using it for 5 hours the previous day it would not turn on the next day. Projection lamp blinks on/off a few times (does not stay on) then the Lamp indicator LED says unit is overheating and the unit shuts off. Other Thoughts: Very nice litte projector if it worked. pcmx Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 day to 1 week	7/20/2006 11:46:39 PM Compact and Mobile Pros: Don't be fooled by the picture, this projector is very compact and easy to carry around. Very mobile if your doing slide shows. I was surprised on the size when I recieved it. I thought it would be a bulky item but no it was just right in size. Quality is excellent. Brightness is also good and most of all DLP!!! XGA capability for future growth. No more worries about heat sensitive LCD projectors. Cons: noisy little fan. enoco mode slows it down and makes it quiet enough. shouldn't be a problem either way for presentations, but might spoil the mood at a quiet spot in a movie. XGA lcd, good resolution, low contrast ratio due to being lcd 2. VGA dlp, ok resolution, good contrast 3. XGA dlp good resolution and contrast, but usually over $1000 Then I found this one, it's fairly new on the market, so there are few reviews, but let me tell you why I got this one. 1. XGA native resolution 2. Latest DLP technology for high contrast 3. Eco mode to reduce noise and double life of the lamps 4. Three year warranty 5. Made by Viewsonic, rather than some generic brand, all they do is displays I just spent all day and night(yes it is bright enough for daytime) watching tv, media center in HDTV, Lord of the rings, Priates of the Caribbean, and playing xbox 360 with VGA adapter for high resolution. New Egg also had the best price. I just spent around $700 and got a 100" HDTV and monitor on my wall!!! BUY THIS ONE. You won't regret it.
