Wears out fast
Pros: Very easy to configure and use.
Cons: Wears out way too fast. I'm a pretty heavy duty gamer and I've gone through about 4 of these in two years.

Why not?
Pros: Saitek offers many good controllers
Cons: I am at a loss as to why Newegg does not carry the Cyborg EVO wireless. This stick seems to be highly rated on the review sites that I have read
Other Thoughts: If Newegg would carry this stick I would buy it from them

Fragile, but nice while it lasts
Pros: Adjustable, fits the hand well, most buttons are accessible, decent programming software, precise and responsive when new. No axis drift problems.
Cons: VERY fragile; plastic spoons are more durable. I've now had TWO of these wear out on me with only moderate use. It's always the buttons that die first. The top two, on either side of the POV hat, are particularly prone to sticking after a while. The trigger has also worn out prematurely on my second Evo. A smaller beef: the programming software doesn't allow you to make any button a "Shift" button, meaning the right Shift button is almost useless if you're right handed, and vice versa.
Other Thoughts: While Saitek will generally replace it if it wears out within the warranty period - I've had one and am waiting on a second - ask yourself whether you want to go through this every 6 months. If my second warranty replacement stick (third Evo overall) also wears out quickly, I'll probably just buy something else. The Cyborg Evo was a nice idea, but poorly executed, with substandard parts.

great!!!!!!
Pros: Great gaming joystick. simple, easy to use, fits well in your hand. reacts well to games.
Cons: the base tends to slip around if its on something other than a table, ie carpet, cover on desk, etc.
Other Thoughts: good over all joystick, reasonably priced, easy to use

Great!
Pros: Sleek, adjustable, sturdy. Included software allows a wide degree of custom use.
Cons: Throttle is in a slightly odd position. Not critical but it is a small detriment to an otherwise great controller.
Other Thoughts: Unless you're one of those freaks who punches their monitor, smashes the keyboard and whips the stick around like a barbarian when they get fragged - this stick is plenty sturdy enough. If you have said problems, well, no joystick is going to last long.

good stick, but a bit touchy
Pros: I bought this stick to help fly in BF2 and its helped tremendously. Easily found and configured in Windows and BF2.
Cons: The stick is a bit overly sensitive and I've been fooling around with the dead space in the center but have not found a suitable configuration. This is mainly a problem with flying a helo in close quarters, not with a plane.

Awesome Battlefield Stick
Pros: Very good. Use it for BF2 and BF2142. Light but hold up on the table well.
Cons: After a bout a month one of the buttons broke off. Nothing major. But i do get mad while i fly and get force teamkilled so i do kind of slam the table.
Other Thoughts: Definately buy it for the price!

Sleek and Sexy
Pros: This joystick, being my first, has been awesome for flightsims and has been working great thus far.
Overall, its a great priced and comfortable joystick for those long hours on your favorite flight sims :)
Cons: None really, except that its not built for lefties...
Other Thoughts: Nice looking lit keys and the throttle is of good placement.

good joystick
Pros: It has tons of buttons so you can do pretty much anything and it has cool lights on it. Plus almost everything on it is adjustable.
Cons: Armrest doesn't go high enough for me (my hands are a bit too small).
Other Thoughts: Overall its great and its still pretty comfortable even though the armrest doesnt go high enough.

2nd thought
Pros: Today is one of the best sticks. The Logitecs are better but have a short life.
Cons: The spring at the base is terrible and does not allow for a fine control.
Other Thoughts: No good for helos as it trends to overcorrect your moves. Perhaps if you set your deadzones you may get better. As for now I'm selling it and buying an old MS/Force Feedback 2

Wicked
Pros: Amazing for any game using a joystick. It has plenty of keys for whatever you need to bind them to. I personally used it for BF2 and loved every hour i spent flying with it.
Cons: nothing, even the price is good

great flying stick
Pros: Great stick with no problems, used in BF 2 and BF 2142.
Cons: Not sensitivity control for helo in BF2.
Other Thoughts: Love it overall, haven't used another type. Would recommend this to anyone. Easy of use good and configuring was easy too.

excellent replacement for my Sidewinder 3D Pro
Pros: good grip, solid construction, adjustable, good price; same features as my old Sidewinder 3D Pro. The torso twist is a must-have for any MechWarrior gamer.
Cons: The throttle control is a little awkward to have at the back, I would rather have it on the left side.
Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a good all-around joystick without force-feedback this is a good pick. Especially if you're looking for flight simulator and MechWarrior games.

Bad joystick...
Pros: It has a lot of fancy buttons
Cons: No good to keep in the lap. Also the spring of X-Y sucks. You can't have fine control!
Other Thoughts: If you want to use it on BF2 read this:

Excellent Stick
Pros: This stick is great for flying jets in bf2. It had a button for everything, takes a little to learn how to fly but its worth the time. You have a hand rest on the stick so u dont have to hold your hand up all the time(great job). Every thing is in reach with on hand(besides the throllte).
Cons: If useing this stick for BF2 u most do these steps 1.)Start up BF2 2.)Options 3.)Controls 4.)Jets or Helo 5.)Then configure your stick

Good stick
Pros: Purchased mainly for BF2 and it works like a charm for the aviator. Helo's take a little more learning curve. The way they keep the stick centered with the spring system works very well and the deadzone is not huge
Cons: Large stick, hard to get fine movements with it but with a little more practice anything is possible.

Wroks GREAT with BF2
Pros: Awesome - easy to set up with BF2. You need to configure this though, easy to do. Just plug in the joystick, let windows install (XP) then open up BF2 - then configure controls.
Cons: NONE.

Worth every penny!! SMoooooth
Pros: After using many Joysticks over the years this is by far the best I have used. It is smooth in operation and extremely programmable. I use it for BF2 only and flying is so much easier. Setup was a breeze and not one problem in BF2. Well worth the money, so much so I just ordered another one for my Son.
Cons: Not too much but I don’t like the reach for the upper most buttons so I don’t use them. The three side buttons are a bit touchy so you have to be careful not to accidentally hit them or you will activate them. I have mine set on alt cockpit views. Just one touch and bang you’re looking at a chase view. Could use one more knotch on the adjustable handle, one a little higher would be nice. Other than that, this is by far the best Joystick I have ever used.

Pros: Inexpensive for the features offered.Fully adjusable.Great Stick!
Cons: Will wear-out in several months to a year depending on how heavy the usage (also use reasonable force on the trigger don't get to excited..lol)..but that goes for all joysticks in this price range, wingman etc..only CH Combat sticks and "Good" Thrustmasters last for years and years but cost MUCH more!!! The Gimble spring could be a bit looser like the X52 would be nice but is not bad as is.
Other Thoughts: I've had/used all the saitek cyborg series sticks(flying Airwarrior, warbirds etc..) since they first came out in the 90s ..and this one is basically an improved version of the originals..ergonomic adjustments no longer require an allen key,the stick is now self-calibrating,has fancy lights now etc..which is all nice. The throttle is now in the rear which I like better because it allows you to easily manipulate the base buttons and control the throttle at the same time..when using the throtle its not necessary to put your whole hand back there"crossing hands" you can easily use your thumb or just grab the far edge towards the hand you are using and let your other fingers ride the base buttons for other commands.Hitting the throttle while pulling the stick back also hasn't been a problem for me (as others mentioned)..plus you can always raise the handrest one notch(I did and I have Lg hands) and/or reverse throttle input(helicopter style) so the down position is full-throttle. Cheers!!

Amazing joystick
Pros: Very goood control, throttle slides nicely, button customization is very nice, good size - not too big, not too small, cool lights, price
Cons: 2 of the buttons on the top seem a little loose but not a big problem at all
Other Thoughts: I had tried the X45 before this one and realized I wasn't that hardcore of a flight sim guy so I sold that and bought this. Also the X45's pivot area was way too stiff for my liking and didn't seem to slide enough. It's an amazing joystick for games like BF2 or WW2OL. I highly recommend this joystick.

Great Stick
Pros: High level of customization. Everything from dead zone size to programable button configurations. It doesn't have the twitching which is charactoristic of some sticks.
Cons: It's light. It will move if you swing it too hard. If you're good you should have a light hand on the stick anyway.

Slick but delicate.
Pros: Plug-n-Play, XP regognized this instantly. Cool LED's. Great for Battlefield 2. Good ergonomic adjustments. Lot's of easy to reach buttons, good hat switch.
Cons: The trigger is very delicate. If you get excited in the heat of combat, you will break it. I've already broken one. It's also easy to hit the throttle when pulling up.
Other Thoughts: Best looking in this price range. They need to fix the trigger (like logitech) and make the throttle so you don't hit it.

Pros: keyboard emulator is cool
Cons: the throttle was stuck half way up right out of the box. i used it twice and i had to set a deadzone for both the x & y axis' sending back for refund due to technical problems

Pros: Plenty of buttons, works very well, comfortable, lights look very cool.

GRRRRRRREAT!
Pros: This baby works like a charm, right out of the box... now i can fly BF2 aircraft (including helicopters) for more than a couple hundred feet before bailing out, due to bad keyboarding skillz. BF2 is also much more fun overall, with being able to fly aircraft (instead or bots) to your destination. I would reccomend, works well, good drivers.
Cons: A little large for my hands, even with adjustment... i can live with it.
Other Thoughts: buy it now, i seriously dont know why you wouldnt.

Plenty of buttons
Pros: Wow, this is a great product. It took a few minutes to get used to it in BF2, but once you are it feels nice, all of the buttons make it simple to assign the differents views (cockpit, chase, etc.) and still have extra buttons to assign everything else. wonderful product
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: not a problem, but when i ordered this joystick and one other product at the same time, yet they were sent from different places. so if you order this with something else dont be suprised at the different shipping locations

Pros: This joystick works great with BF2. Also you can program it too fly not just only fighter jets but helicopters! Also the price was a great deal and I'm satisfied with this product.

Oh, What A Joy It Is
Pros: Smooth flight control, completely adjustable, what more are you looking for? This is a replacement for my aging Saitek USB Gold joystick, which I loved, tried many others and chose this one. Much better speed control lever, more buttons than I can use. What, you're still reading this? Click the "add item to cart" now, you'll love yourself for it.
Cons: Diving ever deeper into the Gamers World of addiction to sleepless nights, empty soda cans, shame at Thanksgiving family get-togethers, a jungle instead of a lawn....get out while you can!!
Other Thoughts: It won't make you a better flyer, only time and experience can do that for you (my BF2 stats reflect this, loathe as I am to admit it)

Great product
Pros: It's worth more than the asking price - really well made (solid!), and looks good too. It has adjustable buttons to suit your hands, and a grip that's also adjustable, though not particularly comfortable. The difference between this and my old pad-style controller in BF2 is night and day. Highly recommended!
Cons: Could have a padded handrest.
Other Thoughts: Buy it!

Driver problems
Pros: NA
Cons: NA
Other Thoughts: Saitek drivers suck. For this joystick, I might recommend just loading on the basic windows driver, it works just fine for those bf2 players out there, and with a basic stick like this one, I don't think you'll lose any functionality.

The Best
Pros: I have used saitek back to the days of good old PII's and have yet to find one that has let me down. Red lights on the bottom buttons show where they are clearly, rest for the wrist makes long flights smooth.
Cons: A slight con, but not enough for me to give it anything less than 5 eggs- sometimes, rapid movements of the joystick can cause the base to slide around on the desk. Not that much of a problem though since its large enought to handle even the biggest of dog fights.
Other Thoughts: The best. Buy today.

Great Stick
Pros: Great joystick. The button layouts are nice, and it make sense. Easy to use. I use it with Battlefield2 and it has made flying so easy.
Cons: Too top heavy. The bottom should be weighted down more. If you bank too hard, the whole joystick base can tip.
Other Thoughts: Great joystick over all, especially for the price.

great joystick
Pros: solid, fast, precise, comfortable, and a good price. I bought one of these and i liked it so much that I bought one for my friends birthday.
Cons: the three buttons under the hat are a little close together you have to teach your self to be more precice about how you hit them, not that big a deal though
Other Thoughts: another friend of mine like this joystic so much he is going to finaly replace his sidewinder pro 2. its just a great joystick overall.

Great stick, wish they lasted longer
Pros: Very precise Tiny deadzone High resistance/stick force Easy to program Very adjustable to fit every size hand (all buttons easy to reach) 3-axis, twisty rudder (also with a strong spring)
Cons: The biggest problem with this stick, and I've owned 3, is its durability...if you play often (20 hrs/week), the pots go bad and you start to get spiking, and with flight sims, it becomes a big problem after about 10 months of use. The elevator axis seems to be the worst, but that may be simply because it gets used more, but every one of them has failed me in the exact same way.
Other Thoughts: Besides the durability of the potentiometers, this is the best stick out there for me...mainly due to the high resistance in the springs, high precision, and strong centering, small deadzone, and ergonomics.

Cyborg Evo
Pros: Numerous Buttons within one hand's reach Rudder Twist Adjustable Hand Rest Adjustable Top Buttons
Cons: Durability: The Cyborg Evo lacks in durability. In less than 6 months I've already worn my 1st out. It will not center, right rudder goes dead, and the auto calibration makes these problems worse. Base: Underside needs to be flat and affixable to desk instead of spacelike design.
Other Thoughts: Very nice joystick, but needs to be more durable.

Great deal, awesome joystick
Pros: Smooth motion, precice control, fully adjustable.
Cons: Adjustable butttons on top are a little loose. It doesn't affect the performance, but is a bit annoying.
Other Thoughts: I bought this to improve my flying in BF2 and replace my old Microsoft Sidewinder. Well worth it. If you are going to pilot jets or choppers in any game, get a good joystick.

Overall good, but not the greatest for the price
Pros: VERY solidly built. Lots of buttons, customizable to fit every hand, right or left, and has twist and throttle, as well as shift buttons, that I believe work like the keyboard shift, allowing for multiple functions per button, but I never use it so I'm not sure. The gimble thing (the big spring that centers the stick) is the best design I've ever seen, as I have had other sticks that have broken the mechanism that centers it. Saitek's is simple and very effective.
Cons: By personal experience:the Log***ch wireless controller is WAY more sensitive.
Other Thoughts: I have owned Gravis, the old Saitek 3D USB, and this joystick. This is a great stick, but as I have mentioned, anyone with a L******h will DOMINATE YOU, simply because the it is more sensitive.

AWESOME!
Pros: This is just an excellent joystick in every way. Great construction, control, adjustibility, drivers, etc, etc.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Had Logitech before this and it just didn't last. Very happy with the Saitek!

wish i had got it at new egg
Pros: lots of customizable buttons, improved my piloting jets from terribly aweful to somewhat below average.
Cons: never sure where the throttle position is, seemed to drift alot to one side no matter what i did to calibrate it. trigger button gets stuck on often.
Other Thoughts: i have probably bought 90 percent of my computer parts and stuff on new egg and have always been very pleased. the other 10 percent i always seem to have problems with, thanks new egg for great products and service, i also love the customer reviews they have been extremely helpful in making informed decisions.

Pretty Good Joystick
Pros: -Firm resistance. Great for accuracy. -Ability to fine tune shape and feel. -Nice lighting touches. Looks great with my lighted case and keyboard. -Good amount of buttons. -Small deadzone. Good to have in a joystick. -Good sturdy pointer hat. Doesn't feel like it will break on you too easily.
Cons: -Stick shape makes it a little more difficult to twist than on my last joystick. -Grips on the bottom don't work too well on metal. Possibly a better system should be used.
Other Thoughts: The firm control on the joystick is great for accuracy. I play a few games that demand joysticks (Descent series and Freespace 2 to name a few). The stick works great for Descent (6 Degrees Of Freedom) but I need to get used to the new feel. When I play Freespace 2 (all time best space sim FPS made), the joystick works really nicely. Great joystick for beginners and experts. All the experts with joysticks I know use a Cyborg Evo. Over all, impressive stick.

Awesome
Pros: Adjustable buttons, adjustable wrist rest, programmable buttons, neat lights, looks good.
Cons: No force feedback, but then again, that's kinda lame, so then this isn't really a con.
Other Thoughts: This joystick is really awesome. If you need a joystick for BF2 this is one to consider. It works perfectly.

Good Stick
Pros: This is a very good stick, and very responsive, haven't had any problems with it so far.
Cons: The stick is pretty light which makes tipping it over when getting rough fairly easy.
Other Thoughts: The lights and general design are all very nice.

Definately worth it
Pros: I use this with BF2, plenty of buttons. 5 of them and an 8 way P.O.V. switch, all at your thumb, plus the trigger. An additonal 6 buttons on the base of the unit, though 3 of those are usually on an inconvenient side, mostly likely because it's reversable. I find the handrest very useful...it's adjustable so you can know your hand is never to low to reach your "thumb" buttons.
Cons: The throttle has no "click" to let you know you're in "neutral" so to speak. It has lines on it but they are no good when you dont have time to look away from the screen. I've had this stick for 4 days and the throttle takes a little more getting used to than the rest of the stick, but what can I expect in 4 days, right?
Other Thoughts: I'm still greatful I bought this stick, for the price it's definately worth it...save your keyboard, mouse and hands some agony and give this stick a target!

Great Joystick!
Pros: Solid construction, nice layout.
Cons: Takes a while to get used to.
Other Thoughts: I got this for Battlefield 2 and found that it didn't take long to get everything set up. However, going from keyboard/mouse flying to the joystick takes some time. Practice offline before attempting to go live with this or you'll look like a fool. However, once you get used to it, you'll never go back. As always, package arrived on time and in perfect shape. Great job NewEgg!!

Excellent for use in BF2
Pros: Very Comfortable and fully adjustable. Best joystick available for the money. Lots of buttons. High quality throttle.
Cons: The lights on it look a little bit childish. There is a slight learning curve if you have grown used to keyboard and mouse flying, but not nearly as hard as starting out on keyboard and mouse.
Other Thoughts: This joystick is an excellent purchase for anyone who needs a good stick without paying a lot of money. It has made the flying experience so much more enjoyable, and I am much more valuable to my team mates too. A must-have for any serious BF2 player.

Great Buy
Pros: Very Durable, You can use the screws to change the position of the buttons and handle thing.. really great. Buttons feel nice and flying is so much fun
Cons: Only for flight games, i dont think that is a con though. When the throttle is all the way to 0, your plane starts to go backwards.. so when you land your plane on an aircraft carrier in bf2 for example.. you will stop, then start to go straight up into the air
Other Thoughts: Good Value for the money Fast shiping.. Nothing bad

GReatOverall Joystick
Pros: Plenty of buttons Feels solid in your hand All buttons are easy to reach No need to calibrate in Windows
Cons: Throttle is in a bit of an akward position. The adjustable hand rest is overall useless and uncomfortable, but you have the option to take it off completely.

meh
Pros: It beats flying planes in BF2 with a keyboard, by far. the buttons are fairly easy to reach.
Cons: the throttle gets in the way sometimes, and is really only useful for.. well.. almost nothing. and the yaw requires you to twist your wrist at a rather odd angle, expect to have a sore hand after awhile.
Other Thoughts: if i get another joystick, i'm goin for the sidewinder pro, which sadly, newegg doesn't offer at this time :(. other than those little details this is a good standard joystick

WOW!! What a GREAT BUY!!!
Comments: I did so much research, it was eithier Logitech or Saitek. I was so suprised to see so many complaints about logitech that I did research about the next best company, Saitek. So glad i did. This controller is so worth every penny and then some. If you do some research yourself u will see that there are less complaints about Saitek then there are about Logitech, beleive me peeps, Logi was my first choice, untill the Forums got me thinking twice, trust me guys this is for BF2 it will make you awesome at flying any machine they can throw at you in the game. And NEWEGG IS AWESOME ALSO ordered thursday got it monday NEWEGG ROCKS!!YEAH!!

Comments: Ulgy as sin but works great. Very sturdy, 3 adjustment: 1- hand rest, 2 - angle for 3 thumb switchs, 3 - side to side for the whole mess of thumb controls (great for comfort). Highly recommended. Again, ugly as sin, Looks like the Borg made this.

Impressed
Comments: After my logxxxxch extreme 3d pro went down I was debating on whether buying a new one or trying something different. I really liked the logxxxxh, but after doing some reading I tried the cyborgevo. I'm glad I did, it has been superb so far. Someone said that it doesnt work with BF2...not true, works fine with it, and I'm playing on xp64 so i almost expected issues, but there were none. Didnt even have to install anything from the cd, just plugged it in, windows recognized it and I was airborne and shooting down bogeys in no time. I love the fact I can adjust so much on this like the grip height, the angle of the missle buttons, whether its left or right handed. Lefties this is totally ambidextrious so if you need a lefty stick, buy it. another bonus, the red and blue lights on this stick really go well with my aerocool afterburner case, just brings the whole look together. Props to newegg to getting me my toys a day early, I love this site.

Rudder control!
Comments: This joystick is very nice, it has a good feel. I was a little leery switching from my ancient CH Flightstick Pro because I have never found a joystick that feels quite as nice. This stick isn't quite as smooth but more than makes up for the difference with a plethora of more features. The adjustable hand rest and head really help keep the buttons in the correct location and ease the hand strain. The proportional handle twist gives finesse to the rudder control, my helicopter flying skills have increased immensely!

Great joystick for the money
Comments: I got this joystick to improve my Battlefield piloting skills & couldn't be happier. /For the price, this is a great value. It's extremely durable & adjustiable plus it lights up like a christmas tree so it looks cool. It occasionally "forgets" center & starts to drift but all you need to do is move the stick around to all four corners & twist all the way in both directions so that it "remembers". My only gripe is on the software which doesn't allow you sensitivity adjustments from the driver side.

Top notch Joystick
Comments: I bought this a few weeks ago to relace my old sidewinder precision to help me with flying in BF2. The center on that stck was gone so i felt i needed a new flight stick. I got this thing and after a little time getting used to it i'm flying better then ever and it looks so Really cool. Comments: I didnt buy this off Newegg, but I wish I had (wouldve saved $20). Its an awesome joystick. Its very adjustable so it fits your hand incredibly well. The rudder twist is a great feature and it tracks movent very well. The lights look cool too in the dark. Ive used it on BF1942 and Flightsim 2004 and its got excellent control.

Comments: I just got one off newegg with my ram a few days ago - the first joystick i've ever owned...
played some x-wing alliance and my wrist started hurting (need to adjust it, plus my wrist is still sore from work)
battlefield 2 made it possible for me to fly in 'cockpit mode' for the first time without immediatly crashing, but i think i need to adjust the sensitivity because i was still crashing left and right (ok maybe i shouldnt have tried going under the bridge)
anyways it looks sexc, really adjustable but being my first joystick i think its going to take awhile to get used to. My only gripe is that throttle is in the middle which is a little ackward for where i'm using it at.

Outstanding
Comments: I bought this to use with Battlefield 2 and couldn't be more satisfied. It is completely adjustable and gets its power from the USB cord (no separate power cable necessary). It feels much more precise than my old Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick. The throttle works great and feels right. Not to mention the whole thing looks 10x cooler than anything the competition has to offer... the base buttons light up red and there is a blue "evo" LED on top.
The only negative I can think of is that it's pretty light weight and sometimes tips a bit when you push the stick all the way forward.

Very good joystick
Comments: I looked around for a joystick reading reviews for a week or so and finally decided upon this one because of the decent to good reviews. At my local electronic stores the stick is $xx, so you're getting a really good deal here. I got my stick a day early, too. Anyway, the joystick is really cool and I love the feel. I use it in Battlefield 2 and it's wonderful. It has a blue LED on the top and red LEDs for the bottom buttons, it's really fancy looking.

Comments: Like some other reviewers, I also bought this for Battlefield 2. It may not seem like you need all the buttons on it at first, but you'll find uses for them soon enough.
I can change firing modes, drop flares, use primary fire, secondary fire, afterburners, change the plane/helicopter viewpoints, jump out, enlarge/shrink the map while flying, and activate my voice chat ... and I haven't even used all the buttons.
I definitely recommend this for Battlefield 2.

A+ Joystick, Especially for Battlefield 2
Comments: I got this in preparation for Battlefield 2. Unfortunately, I still don't have the actual game because of bug reports, but this thing is a beast in the demo. I went from a skilless newbie to an awesome pilot with this. It's made me so good, that people actually GIVE UP planes for me!
NOTE: You will have to take some time and get used to it. I was terrible with it at first, until I found a comfortable button config. Also, take note that the throttle stick, when set all the way back, will make your plane go BACKWARDS (or, for the USMC in BF2, hover) and possibly crash it into something.

Comments: This joystick is everything advertised. It's very comfortable in the hand, the throttle is tight enough to offer the right amount of resistance.
I got this specifically for BF2, and it's been a champ. I would suggest this to anyone. I was leery about dropping that much change for it, but it was definately worth every penny.

The "twist rudder" seals the deal!
Comments: I bought this joystick specifically to fly helicopters in the Desert Combat mod of Battlefield 1942. It works GREAT and turned flying helicopters into a graceful ballet where once I flew like a wounded manatee on the freeway.
I found that it is possible to damage the small switch behind the main trigger if you get carried away with your grip pressure (they sent me a couple of new ones when requested so I could do my own repair) but otherwise my experience has been totally positive! The addition of the throttle really makes this a fantastic joystick! Add to this, Newegg's fast processing and shipping and you can't loose!

Comments: Good joystick. Not as good-looking as the Logitechs, but has better functionality, and doesn't drift left. The biggest negative is that it's a pain to configure it and get it working with a second controller such as the Nostromo Speedpad. In Battlefield 1942/Vietnam, the .con files had to be manually configured in Notepad and set to Read-only. Only then would both controllers work.

Wow ... just WOW!
Comments: This thing is amazing, it makes playing games such as Desert Combat a million times easier and has to be one of the best things I've gotten from newegg.

Very nice...
Comments: This thing is awesome! Never knew how much a joystick could help you out in Battlefield. I easily set the throttle to let the plane fly as slow as possible or keep it at full. This thing is the best! I recommend to everyone and it has the best look for joysticks out on the market. Definetely over Logitech.

Best . . . joystick . . . ever
Comments: I've owned a MS Sidwinder 2 (feh), a Logitech Extreme 3D (good stick) and - on a friend's recommendation - this. He didn't steer me wrong.
VERY sweet - - nice feel, great response, custom adjustable fit, works for lefties and righties. My son's a southpaw; I never realized how hard it was to find a left-handed joystick! =/
I was concerned at first because I thought the base was too light and would scoot around on my desktop from my man-handling it. NOT A PROBLEM. The tripod base provides wicked stability.
Great price from newegg, too.

Now I can fly!
Comments: Great joystick! Good control, excellent features. It's been a long time since I've owned one of these, but with the onset of helicopters in Desert Combat, a joystick is a must. Plus, the little lights are just sweet in a pitch black room.
