So so, probably fine for occasional laptop use
Pros: Small, but not *too* small; single double-A battery; off-switch; pretty good tracking.
Cons: Nano receiver sensitive to interference; thumb-side button requires whole-hand shift.
Interference was a big issue with this unit. When I plugged this into the front USB port of my PC, the performance was very choppy and unusable even though the receiver was only about 2 ft from the mouse. I suspected that it was because the metal case of the PC was somehow interfering so I stuck a cheap little USB hub on there and plugged the receiver into that. Voila, perfect tracking. Even though the receiver is now about six inches further away from the mouse, just getting that little thing away from the case did the trick.
Other Thoughts: I've been using the same Logitech wireless mouse for ~9 years (seriously, thing ROCKS) but it has finally started to fail.
I picked this up as a replacement mainly because it has just the one thumb-side button. I don't like mice that have too many buttons. Unfortunately, the button is above your thumb rather than the below and even though my hands are pretty big, I have to "reach" for it to get a proper click.

Horrible for Gaming
Pros: Cheap and simple. The snap in USB makes it good for traveling. The magnefication feature is also pretty cool.
Cons: The wheel doesn't lock or click. Its more of a free wheel sort of deal and to add insult to injury its sensitive as hell. It makes it really frustrating to play games with because I am always switching my weapons when I don't want to.
Other Thoughts: If you can afford getting a different mouse do so. I suggest looking at logitech. but if you just need a mouse cheap then i guess i would consider this a possible option. alls i know id i need a new mouse bad.

Poor-misses every other click
Pros: None
Cons: This mouse is junk. For whatever reason (although others mention it), it misses the click at least 33% of the time. A mouse has a very simple task. If it doesn't click, then it has no value. Throwing it in the garbage after typing this email.

no range
Pros: Snap-in USB is nifty.
Cons: The range is quite poor - about 12" at best. Lost of missed clicks and erratic behavior beyond that. No auto-off is sora lame also.
Other Thoughts: The 'zoom' tool is useless. There are better freeware items out there.

Very nice notebook mouse
Pros: Perfect size for a notebook mouse. I really like how the USB dongle snaps into the bottom of the mouse. The mouse is automatically turned on/off whenever the adapter is snaped in or removed from the mouse. The range, sensitivity, reliability, have been flawless.
Cons: I do not like the smooth scrolling of the mouse wheel. This is a personal preference. Every other mouse I have ever owned has the mouse wheel that clicks into position. The smooth scrolling makes it very difficult to use the wheel to view individual photos in ACDSee. My only other annoyance is that the mouse buttons require a bit more force to click than the average mouse. The smaller size of a notebook mouse plus the extra force the bottons require can make delicate operations (eg Photoshop) a bit cumbersome.
Other Thoughts: I gave this mouse 5 stars because it is the best notebook mouse I have yet found. I have used several and the combination of features, reliability, and price makes this one tops!

Awesome mouse
Pros: Very precise tracking, smooth and flutter-free. Long average battery life with convenient battery type (I always have AAs lying around, and it only needs one). Easy to set up and use.
Cons: It's slightly smaller than a normal mouse, but you quickly get used to it. It's really almost not worth mentioning.
Other Thoughts: I lived with the mouse pad on my laptop for about two years because I'm cheap and don't like to spend money on anything unless it's super-reliable and I really need it. Now I'm kicking myself for not buying this mouse sooner. I would recommend it to anyone. Other reviewers have found the mouse wheel to be somewhat cumbersome, but it works perfectly for me. I never accident push or tilt the wheel in a way I didn't intend to. This is a rare product that actually works and the price is nice. I did have some trouble getting it to work at first (as in it didn't work at all). Then I grew a brain cell and turned the battery around, and it's worked perfectly ever since.

Great Notebook Mouse
Pros: Smooth and fast. Goes where you point it without any hesitation. Size is perfect for notebooks. The USB dongle snaps into the bottom of the mouse and turns off the mouse to save the battery.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: This one is a no brainer. Buy it. If you can get in on the rebate it makes it the least expensive with most features!

Good mouse
Pros: Small, sensitive, light, ergonoics are decent for size, battery life is @6months with everyday 7hour use
Cons: not the cheapest
Other Thoughts: Use for notebooks and love this mouse. Packs small and does everything i need it too.

The wheel is hard to click
Pros: Easy to install and operate.
Cons: 1. The wheel button takes an effort to click with the index finger.
2. Why do they not make the power to go off after a period of non-use?
Other Thoughts: Somewhat overpriced for what it has to offer.

Good Deal
Pros: Small and easy to use. I have a Microsoft wrls mouse and keyboard for my desktop and I wanted something like it for my laptop. I haven't used the zoom function but the fourth button can be programed to whatever you want.
Cons: Pretty short range which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5.
Other Thoughts: A good value, particularly if you can get the OEM version for 10 less.

interesting
Pros: Nice design. Comfortable. Works very nice and smooth.
Cons: Magnifier button has to be pressed several times to deactivate. I don't know if this is common or a defective unit.
Other Thoughts: Worth the money.

For Laptops
Pros: Size and wireless.
Cons: None that I've heard.
Other Thoughts: This is the 4th or 5th unit I have ordered for our supervisors. It is used for their labtops and they keep singing the praises, so others want one too.

Broke in two days
Pros: Compact, portable design, smooth feet, tilt wheel, price, nice brand name behind it
Cons: I thought Microsoft was a dependable name. The receiver on this mouse broke second day of usage. I move from differing computers A LOT, after the first day I could heard something in the USB receiver jiggling inside. By the second day none of my four computers would recognize it was plugged in. I looked around online and found it is a common issue with this mouse.
Other Thoughts: Mouse is good, receiver is BAD. If you plug it in and leave it the hell alone, it would probably be suitable for you.

Great
Pros: Great mouse, nice size, and the addition of a magnifier button is very nice yet not really useful.
Cons: Couldnt find any, but lets see how battery life measures up to the competition.
Other Thoughts: Works on 1 AAA battery which is great, and feels very smooth although the smooth wheel is somewhat different than what i'm used to.

Super Accurate pointer!
Pros: very accurate, nice feel, compact design, magnifier,
Cons: almost too accurate...
Other Thoughts: this mouse is so accurate that it will take some getting used to. the precise movement was a shock compared to my other wireless microsoft mice.

Good mouse
Pros: Solid mouse. The magnifying feature is handy to have. It scrolls nicely, moves around quite smoothly, and the fact that it takes only 1 AA battery is a plus.
Cons: The button for magnifying is somewhat stiff to be pressed.
Other Thoughts: If you can, get it on Newegg. I did not, and it's quite a bit cheaper, and the rebate on here is also larger.

smooth scrolling, hot design
Pros: Beautiful design, nice elastomeric feel on the sides of the mouse, tilt wheel, small button on left side that creates a scaleable zoom window on the screen, works on a single AA, USB key snaps into bottom to extend battery life but what I like best is the scroll...absolutely dead smooth, no "clicks". Incredibly smooth scrolling. Slightly smaller than a standard mouse but not "micro" sized. I find that the quality on the microsoft mouse products is superior, this is no exception.
Cons: the pressure required to press the (middle button) scroll wheel down is just a little too hard. It can result in actuating tilt instead of just clicking down.
Other Thoughts: I don't see a lot of use for the tilt wheel other than scrolling side to side. But I bought this AND the Microsoft Optical Mouse 3000 and this is better, although both are nice.

Pretty sweet
Pros: Works well...Small mouse. The mouse turns off when you snap in the receiver.
Cons: small, but that isn't really a bad thing. The M$ software doesn't let you adjust separate properties between the trackpad and the mouse, so that's a bummer.

Nice little notebook mouse
Pros: Small, good battery life, convenient USB wireless connector that plugs into the belly of the mouse (and conserves battery life). Works well without interference near two co-workers with the same exact mouse.
Cons: Like other optical mice, it doesn't work on all surfaces (ie shiney). If that's a concern, go for a laser mouse.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I enjoy using this mouse. It's a great alternative to using the keyboard pointer or touchpad.

Not so great
Pros: 1. Excellent reception range. 2. Smooth scrolling (really love it!)
Cons: 1. "Dribble": slow button press very often results in unintended double-click. It is unacceptable. 2. The shape of buttons is not convenient: my fingers are sliding down sideways instead of resting on the buttons. 3. The main buttons are rather tight for my liking. 4. The third button on the side is so firm, that you have to press on it with the other hand, if you want the mouse to stay in place.
Other Thoughts: I am not going to keep this mouse.

Great Mouse
Pros: Small and the USB trans/Receiver uses usb power from the laptop and the mouse only uses 1 AA battery. Had a logitec mouse similar and it has problems sensing the desk and other table tops but this mouse doesn't have a problem. Plus has a little button near your thumb that you can customize to do other functions gloably or specifiy to do another function when a certain program is running. Like the wheel button in the middle no click when you spin it, just a smooth rotion.
Cons: right now i haven't had any problems with this mouse.
