The Sound Quality of Massive Over the Ears Headphones in Earbuds!
Pros: Wonderful sound quality! Excellent bass! Distinct highs and mids. Cancels all outside noise. Stays in ears easily. Cord isn't too long and doesn't catch on my bicycle and get shredded like several of my older pairs, but not too short either, no pulling on my ears.
Cons: none yet
Other Thoughts: These are by far the best earbud headphones I've used. They've actually increased the amount of work I get done. Buy them.

Happy, happy
Pros: Good sound, sound isolating, and comfortable.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I misplaced my first set of CX300's and bought the CX400's to replace them. But the cord on those is a strange two-piece thing, so I donated those to my wife when I found the CX300's were on close out.

lasted @ 1 yr
Pros: they lasted @ 12 monts of daily use before the l shaped connector started failing. asking sennheiser if they will replace them.
otherwise buying another pair - jr.com has them for $16
they are that good i'll keep buying even if they break.
Cons: short cord is lame

Decent when on sale
Pros: They're quite decent at noise cancellation. Walking around downtown with them is almost dangerous! If you can get them to fit right, they have good bass (for the price) mids are slightly recessed. Not much to say about the highs.
Cons: You can hear if the cord is bumped. But it's not as loud and crazy as everyone makes it seem. It's bearable. And if you have a little clip thing or some tape, you can pretty much get rid of all of the noise.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't pay $40 for them, let alone $80. But if you can get 'em while they're on sale for $20ish, do it. They kill others at this price (see: skullcandy, iBuds, etc). I give them a 4, because I've definitely heard better headphones. But if it were a value rating at $20 to maybe $30, I'd give 'em 5 easy.

As good as any other earbuds out there
Pros: They were on sale, i like the asymmetric chord design. The earbuds fit snugly in my ears and tune out most outside noise.. and there's road work right outside my building as I write this. Sound quality is decent.
Cons: Not enough deep-bass, too much mid-bass for my liking. I listen to mostly heavy metal and its a bit obnoxious when you cannot hear the double-bass in all it's richness , also the guitars sound a little squeaky through the earbuds.
Other Thoughts: These are about as good as any other earbuds out in the market in this price range. Probably should just suck it up and buy earbuds in the above $100 range next time, although most earbuds out there sound alike..

Great compromise for Canal-phones
Pros: After reading about the clarity of canal headphones, and being a daily-subway rider in NYC, I was hell bent on finding something that would work for me. Being worried about full canal headphones possibly damaging my ears, I decided to go for these after reading that they're great introductory pair.
They're amazing! The rubber edging fits my ear perfectly, and the set comes with two alternative sizes--one bigger, one smaller--for different sets of ears. The sound quality is excellent.
After having it for over a year (I bought my first pair in 2008, bought a second for my gf recently), I can say that reports of the wiring wearing down are greatly exaggerated. In the summer, these are usually hanging around outside my clothing; in the winter, they're stuffed under my clothes, usually against my skin. There's been absolutely no visible wear, nor as the sound quality been affected.
Other than that, the sound quality is excellent, and its GREAT at blocking out noise!!
Cons: Although the wiring is intact, it doesn't mean its great. The wiring is made of textured rubber, which means that unlike most ear buds, they will catch on *everything*, from your hand to a newspaper. I have, more than once, ripped them straight out of my ear because they caught slightly on my upper arm. Its INCREDIBLY annoying.
Additionally, because the wiring is so thin, using these for running can be frustrating. In or outside my shirt, I can hear scraping noises everytime they come into contact with my shirt. Whether or not this is a function of the fact that they're canal head phones, or cheap material, it means you'll consistantly have to put up with LP-like static.
Let me briefly mention as well, that these use a shorter wire than I was used to. When using these at work, I have to use an extender so that my head isn't a foot away from my laptop. Not horrible, but just a forewarning.
Other Thoughts: Overall, considering the price, these are an amazing steal. For everyday use, the aforementioned rubbing is really a non-issue, and when sitting at one's desk, its even less so. The most important function for me is the ability to not only block out noise, but do it without having to blow out my ear drums--these provide both. Even on a crowded, noisy subway car, I pop these in and with the music on at a moderate level, I can't hear a thing.
Another added bonus? Unlike ear buds, these things do not radiate music. I *hate* getting on a train and having to listen to the noise pollution from someone's cheap iPod headphones.
Overall, great buy; you can't do better in this price range, and with Sennheiser, you know you're getting a quality product.

Pros: Sounds good for gym. Ive had good luck with Seinnheiser in the past
Cons: I play my MP3 in my pocket and the heaphone cord seems a bit too short. It could use another 3-4 inches.

cx300b's are ok
Pros: great sound quality. i would reccomend for computer use or just mp3/movie use if your sitting down. not for if your moving around. if your jogging or working out, go to ross and get a 8 dollar pair of skullcandys, they stay in place and unless your absolutely an audiophlie you wont be able to really tell the quality.
Cons: not as much bass as everyone says, skull candys have more, but no real quality, but i suppose you can just eq it up. also the volme is not all that high, but you just turn it on up. they have iffy build quality, the wires are quite thin, however when you find them extra cheep, like 14-18 bucks, just buy a pair, i wouldnt pay anymore. perodically check dealnews.com and booble shopping for "cx300" to get a good deal.
Other Thoughts: if the small covers dont fit the best you can steal the small ones off skullcandy buds which are a tad larger and will hold the buds in place better. to address what someone rating these lower said about the unequal cord length, they are made that way to wrap one around your neck. if you just want sheer bass, go to ross and buy a pair of skull candys and get ready to have your eardrums blown, just dont expect the audio clarity you get from these

happy camper
Pros: Purchased these during the trade-in promotion and only paid ten bucks. Overall sound is great, especially for $10. These were left in my pants pocket and went through the washer and dryer 8 months ago and STILL continue to work, however the cord got really curly from the incident. GREAT at reducing surrounding noises (cutting the lawn)
Cons: not a fan of the unequal length cords
Other Thoughts: purchased these for use while cutting and trimming the grass. perfect, and MUCH 100x better than phones provided by apple.

great bulbs
Pros: these bulbs sound great i hear more of my music and less back ground noise. once you fit the correct size rubber end pieces the bass really comes out.
Cons: the rubber cord does give off a rubbing noise when jogging with and volume is at a low setting. hey,but for 18 bucks i,m not going to send them back.

Excellent Earphones/Cans
Pros: Wow! Impressed!! Excellent sound quality, nice bass (not too much), good Mids and treble is perfect for me. I have a set of Shure E2C's and these guys give them a BIG run for the money, I am actually using these Senns more than the Shures.
Cons: The wire could be thicker, but come on , at this price these things are awesome. Would be nice to have a pouch with it, but I just used one I had.
Other Thoughts: My set of cans don't exhibit any of cons posted here, I have no static with the cable, they fit my ears perfectly with the normal ear adapters. Excellent sound quality that gives the higher priced cans a big run for their money. Love the sound quality and very comfortable!

Very nice, cheap price
Pros: • Quite accurate for the cost, decent bass, even mids, clear treble with no over-emphasis in any frequency range. • very good noise isolation; great for travel IF you fit them properly. • small and lightweight; fits in your pocket and ready to go. • You CAN almost sleep with them in, they're that small. • Audio quality does actually improve slightly with use. After playing a few weeks, they did sound a little bit fuller and have more presence.
Cons: • J-wire design pulls out easily, wire material is sticky rather than smooth so it grabs onto other surfaces. • maybe TOO sensitive; pretty loud with my iPod Touch even on low volume settings. I notice this is the only headset I have ever connected to my iPod that has obvious background hiss when content is quiet. • sized earpieces won't fit everyone. Even the large is slightly small for my ears, and they are a little loose.
Other Thoughts: These compare favorably with Shure E2c and Sennheiser HD280 over-ear 'phones, both of which cost upwards of $100. Far better than the plastic junk supplied with any MP3 player (yeah you, Apple!). More wearable than the Shure series, at least if you use the foam inserts (which get uncomfortable within an hour). You can wear these for much longer and unless the cords snag on something you wouldn't know they were there.

Not very happy with these
Pros: They are operable. Sound is pretty good
Cons: Earbuds pop right off while in your ear. Wife has had to pluck them out with her tweezers several times already. They are not secured to the speaker park of the headphone. After the 3rd time, I got out the crazy glue and secured them myself. Cord is a few inches too short. If you connect them to an mp3 player in your pants in pocket, they jerk the buds out of your ears. The canal headphones themselves are poorly designed. The L shape of the earbud makes it hard to get them firmly in your ear canal without flipping them upsdie down, which makes the chord even shorter.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend these.

Decent at this discount price
Pros: A great price after rebate. Bass is pretty nice and the mids and highs come through better with these than they did with my old Sony in-ear headphones. They block out outside noise rather well, so it's wonderful for living in a noisy student complex (can't hear a thing while studying).
Cons: The cable noise which other reviewers have mentioned is present. If you bump it into anything, rub it on anything (even if it just drags across your shirt) you're going to hear it loud and clear in your ears. That's why it only gets 4 stars. My old sony's didn't have this problem, interestingly.
The range of earbud sizes also seems a bit extreme. They go from tiny, to normal, to huge (my old sony's were better in that regard, as your options were a bit more realistic). Still, not a problem given the price point.
Other Thoughts: Sennheiser always gives me bang for my buck. The cable noise issue should be fixed in the next version of this product, though, and not repeated.

Asymmetric design is terrible
Pros: Sound quality is pretty good since they make a good seal around your ear. Bass is good. Overall great if you are used to the standard issue white Ipod earbuds.
Cons: The "Asymmetric" cord is such a pain. it makes me want to throw these in the garbage. They might work well if your head is about 2 feet in diameter. The other cord might need be about a few inches longer than one, but this is like 12" longer, ridiculous. I don't think anybody at Sennheiser tried these on after they designed them.
Other Thoughts: They will constantly get yanked out of your ears because all the tension is put on the short side if you move around. These are fine if you sit around and use them, but don;t bother if you are using them at the gym like me.

Great headphones, excellent price
Pros: these headphones were 80$ at other stores and there has been alot of talk about fakes going around, so I was obviously concerned that these would be fake with their 30$ pricetag. I'm no audiophile, but judging by the sound quality and look, these don't appear to be fakes. Although I'm happy with the sound these give out, I hate the assymetrical cord, I understand it is supposed to be better because it holds them in place when you put the right one around the back of your neck, but they give the right earbud way too much extra cord, it's enough to wrap it around your neck nearly twice. All the extra cord looks sloppy and gets in the way. All in all, would buy again but would prefer symetrical cords.
Cons: oops... First newegg review and didn't realize I was writing in the pros box... No copy paste on my iPod touch. So please just pretend that pros box was actually the other thoughts box.
Other Thoughts: sorry again

Great Headphones
Pros: I've had these for 4 months now and love them. They sound great and I have had no problems at all with them. I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants a good headphone at a great price, you can't beat nine bucks after rebate. I also got my rebate back promptly.
Cons: I didn't get a second one.

Pros: Balance, price on sale, sound quality.
Cons: Well they don't fit well at all. Worst fitting for some reason in my ear's that I've ever had. Top that off with the INSANE noise from the wire itself, and don't even get me started on the noise the cord makes when there is any kinda of wind.
Other Thoughts: It really is a shame the fitting and noise from wire almost break the deal totally. If not for the on sale price I'd be rather upset. Had I paid full $80 or whatever msrp is I'd be furious.
I LOVE senn headphones, they are simply outstanding and so good they WILL change the way you understand sound/music.
For sale price I'd say it's a wash and you should try them. Maybe you'll get better fitting , but NOTHING I believe will fix the totally unacceptable noise you get from the wire. I mean I am shocked at this really.

Pros: excellent bass, fits any ear hole size with ease, requires a lower volume to achieve the same output ie. 8gb zune with ipod earphones require volume value of 20 whereas these headphones with a value of 10 sound the same, sits comfortably on the ear.
Cons: sucks the air out of your ear, don't use at work if you expect to hear other people calling you, make sure your ears are clean.
Other Thoughts: Worth every penny

Pros: Good sound and do keep some noise out. I use them mainly while mowing the yard.
Cons: I guess I don't totally care for the in-ear style. When I use them, I feel like they are putting extra pressure on in my ears. Don't care for that feeling. The cable noise when you move them is annoying.

very low volume
Pros: none
Cons: The wire is very short and I found the volume to be excruciatingly low. Not good when you ride the NYC subway every day.

TERRIBLE. NO, REALLY, THESE ARE BAD
Pros: Look nice, trusted brand name, price (after rebate) - and for me, they fit nicely in my ear. They actually sound pretty good too - under the right circumstances.
Cons: First: the wire is significantly too short. It needs about one more foot. If I put my ipod in my pocket whilst wearing the cx300b the wire is stretched to the limit and pulls the headphones out of your ear.
Second: The design of the actual earbud part of the headphone is such that it picks up wind noise and amplifies it. If you wear the headphones outside while walking or jogging etc you will hear excessive wind noise. This is pretty much unbearable.
Third: If you touch, tap, move, or otherwise disturb the wires while listening, the sound of the wire being touched will be amplified and you will hear it. I thought I could use these at the gym (since they were not going to work for outdoor activities) The noise from the wires being disturbed is also unbearable. After hearing this, I decided I have cut my losses and return these.
Other Thoughts: These will work fine for sitting in the coffee shop while writing on your laptop, or playing video games, but if you are just sitting around, you can use a much better over or around the ear headphone. This type of headphone is what I would use during activities like exercise etc., but these just don't work I thought I got a really good deal on these headphones, but I couldn't use these if they were free. This is the first product I have ever sought to return with Newegg. Newegg is the best.

Bad ergonomics
Pros: Decent sound. Not competitive with Ultimate Ears and Shure at the original list, but for $25 a pretty nice deal.
Cons: "Mushroom" style inserts do not stay in my ears or block much noise. I used two-tiered ones from Ultimate Ears ($15 for 5 pair, direct) and those are acceptable.
The problem is greatly exacerbated by the asymmetrical cable. From where the cable makes a "Y", you have about 8" to the left ear, and 20" to the right, meaning that all the weight is held by your left ear. Any time anything touches the cable, the force borne by the left ear. It falls out a LOT. It is REALLY annoying. Trust me here. This is a BIG con.
To make things worse, the cable is rubberized which means it is heavier than it needs to be, and catches on anything it touches. Walking around with these is a big pain.
Soundwise, these have a bit of presence-region boost and harshness, but not too bad.
Other Thoughts: I can only assume they are closing these out to fix the cable.

Pros: Really good headphones. Great sound quality, amazing bass and they are really loud. The design is really good - they look cool and are really comfortable. Ear adapters are soft (nothing like cheep ruber one) and fill just great. :)
Cons: It's so easy to brake them. The cabel just fell of from the headphone. This is only thing i dislike in this headphones... and it's a big deal since you don't want to just trow away your money.
Other Thoughts: I think CX300 are the best for quality / price, especially with newegg sale :) Buy them if you want good sounding headphones, but be carefull and take care for them :)

Decent for the money
Pros: Great sound quality. Good clean bass. Does a good job of blocking out outside noise (maybe a bit too well).
Cons: Considerable "stethoscope" noise generated from rubbing on the cord, though less than some other in-ear headphones I have used.

Very nice but not THAT nice
Pros: Much better bass than what I was using, good fit and very clear sound
Cons: Only worth the price at about 1/2 of retail price
Other Thoughts: I picked these up for 10 bux after the rebate. I have been using some canal phones from DX and also JVC Marshmallows. They were much better sounding than the DX ones, and just a tad better than the marshmallows. Audiophiles may say I am nuts but that is what I heard. I did about an hour of comparison of different types of music. These definately have the edge when it comes to Bass and fit. The Marshmallows and DX ones cost less than 4 dollars shipped so I expected these to be alot better than they were.

amazing
Pros: I love these earbuds, they are extremely comfortable, and block out a lot of excess noise. These are so comfortable that I have fallen asleep with them on.
Cons: I wish that the connector was gold-plated, but i didnt expect it to be because it was only 20 dollars.
Other Thoughts: I wish the headphone jack was in an I shape, and not the L shape.

Save your money
Pros: Don't interfere with my eyeglasses. Price was 'good', almost 2/3 off.
Cons: - This the first time that I have ever heard 'quality' headphones that have worse sound than desktop speakers (Logitech 2300 in my case). - The folks at Fort Knox would be proud of the clamshell packaging. Was a nightmare to get open. I ended up bleeding. - Only got one of the long/thin earpads. - Claims to block outside noise. Might if I had received both of thin earpads. I can hear they keys as I am typing this at moderate volume. - The cord length includes the 'Y' section. I was hoping that the length referred to the straight part.
Other Thoughts: I would not buy these again or suggest that a friend do so. The only reason they got a two egg rating was that the Egg got them to me when expected.

Be Careful Outside
Pros: The sound is just amazing. But what really makes the sound great is the noise canceling that these earphones provide. The day i received these, i wore these outside and listening at a volume level of two, i couldn't hear a single thing.
Cons: Maybe it's just that my music is not bass-heavy, but i think that the bass levels in the earphones are only above average.
Other Thoughts: Some people complain about the asymmetrical cord but these are my first asymmetrical earphones and i think it's great. They're very comfortable and contrary to other reviews, my left earbud is not being pulled out all the time. Also, the cord length is just fine. I'm 5' 8" with a long torso and i have about 5 inches extra even with my mp3 in my jean pocket.

Good sound but not worth full price
Pros: Good sound. 3 different size ear plugs.
Cons: You have to get the fit just right to get the good sound. It takes a lot of wiggling each time to get them in properly. Price
Other Thoughts: I got these at a discounted price and also took advantage of a rebate by sending in an old broken pair so the came out at about $15. I'm glad I didn't pay more as they're good but too fiddly to be worth the 80 they're listed at.

Pros: Great sound
Cons: none of the included ear buds fit my ear canals. Guess I must not be an average person
Other Thoughts: Don't buy these for anything that involves motion as they pop out easily

Good for the $
Pros: Sound reproduction for the money is out of this world.
Light, comfortable, great angled and slim plug.
Silicone tips seem to be fairly secure
Cons: I get some cable noise with these when I walk around, but it's not a huge deal, and I have had much worse before.
Other Thoughts: I threw away my bose in ear headphones after the tips fell of for about the fourth time. Bose used to send them to customers free of charge, but now they want us to pay for them. Bologna!

Good Price, Good headphone
Pros: I have small ear openings, this one actually fits! sound quality is pretty decent, not the best... but its cheap ! worth every penny i think
Cons: the wire has rubber feel to it, i guess this could be pro but i hate the way it feels against my skin...
other than that, none
Other Thoughts: get this if you are under a tight budget and want a decent earbuds to use while traveling or something

Decent product; bad rebate processing
Pros: Product has much better sound characteristics than I expected for what I paid
Cons: You can hear your steps through these while walking or jogging. May be I need to change the tips, I am not sure.
Other Thoughts: Rebate processor parago (not newegg) is famous for finding untrue reasons for not honoring rebate submission. They said my UPC is invalid. I pulled off the package. When I called they said they will process and send rebate check.

Good bass, but they fall out
Pros: Good bass, fits in ear canals nicely
Cons: When running they fall out, fall out when you sweat
Other Thoughts: Basically decent headphones when you're just loungin and need to bump some music but when it comes to working out the product falls short because it falls out of the ear canal. I use the smallest sizes cause they fit best when sittin in my ear canals but the medium and large doesn't. The large and medium basically settle between the tragus and anti-tragus and do not cup the ear canal which hinders the quality of sound and allows exterior noises to penetrate between the gaps of the tip of the earbud and the ear canal.

Good quality for the price
Pros: Compact, 3 different size ear canal pieces to choose from. Right angle connector where plugs into mp3 player
Cons: If you were to hold the 1/8 plug in your hand and hold upside down so the ear pieces hung, the right is longer then the left by about a foot. I do not like this feature. I would have prefered them to be same distance from the 1/8 plug. Not a deal killer but....

Great canal headphones
Pros: Isolates outside sound very well and lets you hear things that you wouldn't have noticed with regular earbuds. The asymetrical cord design is useful for letting them hang around the neck
Cons: It doesn't come with a case to store the headphones or the extra cushions.

Excellent value for your money
Pros: For the price you're paying it is a very good value. With the high sound quality these little headphones offer you will hear little details and sounds in music you've never heard before.
The rebate came from Sennheiser quickly and with no hassle, which is fairly rare these days with other companies doing everything they can to make sure they keep the rebate.
After dealing with Sennheiser in the past for warranty repairs and customer service they are also excellent.
Cons: Been said before but the odd cord length is not something Im too fond of

Stay away from this product
Pros: Nice design makes it fits earholes well Great contact feeling of the material
Cons: Most important thing: very poor voice quality. Right after I pluged it into my PC, not yet opened any music players, I can already tell that it works. Why? Because of the loud chaos noise it produces. After I opened Winamp and played a song, I could still hear the noise. The noise can only be covered if the song was played very loud. So it works, but poorly. Stay away.
Other Thoughts: I'm gonna use it in gym, if I can still hear its chaos there, oh, man, I'm gonna worship the designer of this very product.

Very Decent Headphones
Pros: Great headphones. Alot of people complain about the cord...but you just have to wear it correctly and its very comfortable. So far these headphones have startled me a little bit because ill hear things I have never heard before. When I wear them at work I find myself turning to look behind me to see if someone is knocking on something...but its just the music playing in my ears. that is basically saying that it captures and produces sounsd you wouldnt hear with average headphones. For the price this could be the best deal out there for headphones
Cons: Longevity is always an issue, but suprisingly they provide a 2 year warrenty which is nice, and i have heard great things about their customer service...only time will tell. Also the bass is lacking, my v-modas have alot more bass than these but other than that ill live. I listen to John Mayer and Dave MAtthews and its amazing.
Other Thoughts: If you can buy these for 20 or under...its a great deal

Concerns about CX300 dispelled
Pros: Sound Quality: I am not a music expert, but I know quality when I hear it. These are terrific little devices, with unbelievable bass for the size and price. With all my earlier earphones, it hardly made a difference whether I had 128 or 320 bitrate on my mp3s... With these, you can actually make out every little nuance and realize what 320 bitrate should really sound like! They reproduce each and every little note, however soft and short. -Very comfortable to wear -Fantastic bass, great overall sound quality -Good build quality -Price, with rebate -work well even with very low output devices -Good noise blocking, though you can still hear sounds, they no longer intrude between you and you music.
Cons: -Cord length -Difference in prices for other colors -No case -Packaging takes ages to open :-) -No instructions on how best to wear, how to replace the rubbers, etc. -Right ear more prone to fall out than left (could be my ear at fault!) -Bit risky to jog with them, since they block noise.
Other Thoughts: Concerns I had before I bought these: 1. Counterfeiting and rebate - be assured, I mailed both Sennheiser and Newegg to confirm that Newegg is an authorized reseller, so you WILL get the rebate, and of course, genuine Senns.
2. Will the Bass drown out the high notes? NO, it does not. The treble is also good. But yes, treble is just "good", bass is "awesome"
3. Cord noise So far it has not bothered me, but havent been out on a jog with them.
4. Will they play bassless Classical music well? Indian classical music has hardly any bass, and they still do a terrific job.

Pros: These headphones produce very rich sound. They block outside sounds well. These headphones produce deep bass but not to the point where it is too loud.
Cons: Rubbing on the cables sounds a little noisy when you have the headphones in. You also have to get used to hearing yourself breathe, swallow, and chew.

Nice, but...
Pros: Nice sound, certainly better than what came with my MP3 player. Good fit. Cord is long enough for my use (arm band, neck tether). Dealt with the occasional yanking out while lifting in the gym without damage so far. The most recent pulling the plug out of the player (hence my ditching the armband for the tether). Comfortable in the ear. Maybe not the BEST, but certainly worth what I paid(less than 1/2 retail here at Newegg). As always, Newegg rocks.
Cons: As others have stated, and it needs to be stated again, any rubbing, or bouncing of the cord is directly transfered to your ears and can be annoying at times. Also, the asymmetric cord that hangs all of its weight from the left ear, tends to pull out the left ear bud when jogging (but better than another brand's with their poor 2 piece design). Slippery ear pieces, they readily fall out after breaking a sweat (yes I am using the right size, tried all 3) and they are too short leading to less stability in the ear.
Other Thoughts: Again, great for the price I paid. But in no way are they worth retail. Comparable ear buds out there for half the price. Also, I think I'm going to switch to phones for the gym, easier to keep on the head than in the ear.

I can't understand the fuss
Pros: fits more comfortably in the ear than my ipod headphones, which fall out of my ear. They do block outside noise well.
Cons: Sound is like its traveling through string to a couple of tiny cans--very tinny. I have no idea what 'bass driven sound' means on the packaging--perhaps driven out of these phones before shipping. I would really have been ticked off if I paid msrp for these headphones.
Other Thoughts: Not worth the money-even on sale. I'll go back to the ipod phones and use these as a backup or use when I'm working in the woodshop.

Great bass and sound quality
Pros: Excellent blocking of ambient noise. Cubicle life can be distracting and this help keep the noise out. Tried all 3 canal adapters and found the largest worked best for full sound and bass. Excellent product. I've used every type of headphones from every manuf. and these are my first from Sennheiser. These are my first canal type too and are excellent. NewEgg ordered and received next day. Awesome. Didn't pay for any special shipping.
Cons: The wires are stiff and can be annoying but I'm assuming it due to newness.
Other Thoughts: I've used NewEgg for 5+ years and have never been disappointed. Keep up the excellent work.

Decent canal 'phone
Pros: The bass on these canal 'phones is pretty good. It's almost overwhelming at times, but I believe that's to combat ambient noise when using these while traveling, etc. The bass is tight and isn't sloppy like that which you'd find on lower quality buds. They keep out ambient noise pretty well. Quality and construction seems to be up to par.
Cons: Highs are veiled. Hopefully, this will disappear after sufficient burn-in time.
Other Thoughts: To properly audition these, I used the same songs I used to tune my home and mobile audio systems. They are full CD-quality files, not MP3 encoded.
Overall, these are decent headphones. They are not exceptional, and certainly not a great value at retail. However, at ten dollars (after MIR), they are the best value I've found in a while. Hopefully some of the veiling will disappear with some proper burn-in time. They definitely won't replace my home audio set-up for long listening sessions, but will make a nice addition to my portable, in-pocket set-up. I'll either revise or add a new review once I've had more experience with these.

good earphones for the money
Pros: price; relatively comfortable to wear in the ear canals. L shaped wiring. performance is pretty good compared to the price one pays. bass.
Cons: short cord; perhaps slightly a touch too much bass, but nothing a EQ within your player can't fix
Other Thoughts: for the price you paid with the rebate due back to you, you can't beat it. It certainly performs admirably as a 10 dollars earphones. For those that gave really, really low score, you are probably either not wearing correctly so that it does sound tinny, or are just being way too picky for a 10 dollars set. give this set a break will ya?

Comparing to MDR EX55
Pros: L-Shaped connector comfy affordable price
Cons: connector is not gold plated cord doesnt feel as stretchy, durable as my sony's not enough bass the highs aren't as bright
Other Thoughts: I had sony mdr ex 55's. I'm writing this review in comparison to some sony headphones I own. Decided to try out a pair for the price.
These will serve as back up headphones.

Better than HD202
Pros: Great buy for people that don't have Mid Price Range headphones, very good bass response, good highs as well. I also own Sennheiser HD202 and CX300 are definitely better than 202s the reason is better treble and a bit better bass despite the small size, Mids are not bad either.
Cons: I think the cable is pretty short they should have longer cables because people that wanna use 'em on their PCs may have problems with this 1meter cable but it just depends on your usage
Other Thoughts: they are not as good as those $100 headphones out there on the market but for this price its a great buy if you don't have any headphones around $50 range

Great Canals
Pros: The sound quality is top notch and the bass is very good. I really like using these canals because they don't fall off unlike the earbuds.
Cons: See other thoughts.
Other Thoughts: When you try to put them on, be careful not to make a plunger-like movement or you'll feel discomfort.

Tinny sound
Pros: none that i can think of
Cons: Sound quality, bass, highs, everything sounds bad out of these
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure how these got such good reviews. The sound is very tinny, highs are very bad. The bass is muddy and distorts easily (and they have all this advertising on the box bass). To me they sound worse than ipod buds..
I just bought some sennheiser PX100W regular earphones like 2 months ago and they sound fantastic. Probably the best phones i've ever had (i've never had any expensive headphones but I do have $5k wrapped up in home audio equipment). My wife actually bought these cx300's so I thought i'd take a listen and see if they were as good as the ones I had... I've tried 2 of the 3 different attachments and plugged these things in all kinds of positions in my ear and I can't get them to sound good at all.. Maybe they are defective. I also hate having something that far down my ear, it doesn't seem like it could be good for your hearing. And if you don't push them in far they sound incredibly bad..

Great Sound
Pros: These canal phones are a great investment. They are a huge step up from any of the ear buds that come stock. They are very comfortable, and even after wearing them for long periods of time, there is no pressure or pain. If you can catch them on sale don't pass them up.
Cons: No real cons. They are a little on the bassy side, but that is the kind of music I listen to so this is not a problem for me. Also one potential problem area is the area where the wire connects to the canal phone. The connection seems a little on the weak side, but only time will tell.
Other Thoughts: These are a great upgrade for any personal audio device. They are comfortable and have great sound. Don't pass these up.

A great pair of earbuds for the price.
Pros: These buds deliver a great sound and quality, considering their price. Sennheiser has really put together something great for those of us who can't afford ridiculously expensive audio gear.
Cons: The cable is admittedly short; however, I'm using them with an MP3 player and notebook, so it has yet to bother me. I wish they'd come with a case, but I improvised and used my Logitech G5's weight case.

Great in ear headphones for the price!
Pros: Great sound quality (I'm not an audiophile) just an average half deaf joe but they sound great.
Cons: The cord could be longer, by about 2 feet but that can all be solved with an audio extender (using them for the office)

These rock!
Pros: Great all-around sound quality, conferable, noise canceling
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: NewEgg is awesome for shipping, but I would have paid the 3.99 or whatever to do the 3-day shipping. I don't get the asymmetrical cable, it seems to get in my way more often the help.

Just OK, Nothing Special
Pros: If you like a lot of bass, this headphone is for you. I actually like the asymmetrical cord lengths which is similar to my Sony. Also like the light cord they use. Overall length of the cord is just about right.
Cons: None that I can think off other than lots of bass. If this is the case with your player, you may need to adjust your player's equalizer to compensate for this.
Other Thoughts: I thought at an $80 list price item, I was getting some special headphone. After trying it out, this headphone is nothing really special compared to a lower priced similarly designed Sony. At $15 I suppose this item is a deal, however, I just got an email saying my UPC number is INVALID. I just may have paid $30 for it if I cannot get this resolved. At $30 I do not think it is such a good deal.

A little bassy with treble roll off.
Pros: this sounds good. mated with my creative zen, its not neutral, but bassy and the treble is not crisp. some fiddling with the EQ fixes that and it performs pretty well, the treble roll off makes for non fatigue listening, its not sharp. it attenuates outside sound decently enough. the fit is decent for me and with the supplied earpieces its pretty probable that you'll find one that fits just right. the rebate that came with this made it exceptional value for money for a great sounding pair of phones.
Cons: does not come with a case.
Other Thoughts: most portable mp3 players can ony cut and not boost using the EQ, and the cx300b is not the most sparkly headphones, if you like the grado sound, you will prob not like this.

Oh wow
Pros: The isolation is so good that you can hear your heart beat! Don't chew gum or eat; it'll sound like a jackhammer.
Sound is rich and full. Not tinny, crackly or anything else. Just like you're in the studio if the music's high-quality. Luscious, un-adultered listening bliss! D:
It's just $15 after rebate! (If anyone's lucky with those)
Very sturdy once you put them in; they're like suction cups! m. You know they're in corectly when they make a little 'pop' sound.
Cons: The wire's thin as angel hair spaghetti.
One pair of each size earpiece.
Bass gave me a stiff neck, but it'll get better as you listen more.
Other Thoughts: Some people may think the wires are wonky, but it's a little plus to me; it feels weightless and the style makes it easier to tuck behind. I put mine under the shirt so the wires don't get caught in workout equipment, etc.
Geez, only $15 after rebate. What a steal.

Great Headphones
Pros: Great overall quality. Sound quality is the best you are going to get in the sub-100 dollar range, in my opinion. Though not labeled as sound reducing, once you get them in they block out a lot of noise. I can't hear a conversation 10 feet away at all. Uneven lengths for the cord keeps the headphone cable to the side if you are wearing an mp3 player on your hip. Comes with 3 pairs of plugs for your ears (the default fit in mine). It did not take long to learn how to fit them in my ear. They do not fall out (except if I am moving, see cons) when they are in. Arrived 3 days after order with free shipping.
Cons: The cord itself is pretty thin. Not a deal breaker, but it causes me to be careful when moving around or working with them on. Bass is very deep, and this is coming from someone who likes deep bass. I had to reset the equalizer for the lowest 2 range settings on my player(a Zen) from 4 and 5 to -2 and -1 to get a similar sound with the phones that came with the player, which weren't tinny sounding to start with. Also, the cord is just a bit too short to wear with an mp3 player in my hip pocket. If I twist or get up quickly, they sometimes pop out. This should not be an issue for most people though, I am 6'4" with a long torso. Again, these cons are more observations and not reasons to not buy it.
Other Thoughts: My cons field is long, but don't get me wrong, I love these headphones and highly recommend them. These do their job extremely well. They sound and cancel out noise better than a hundred dollar pair of canal headphones that are labeled as noise canceling and have active (battery powered) cancellation. I am considering getting another pair.

Pros: These earphones are excellent for their price. The low end is very solid and clear. Overall the listening fatigue is very low and can be listened to for many hours without a problem. The wire is also a perfect length from my ear to my pocket; quite convenient. Also, they isolate noise very well, which helps a whole lot when doing things like mowing the lawn.
Cons: The mid is just a little shy, and the highs are just a tad bit loud, but not as bad as most.
Other Thoughts: I enjoy the uneven lengths in the headphones since I have the wire come up on my left side and the right ear wrap behind my head. I like it and consider it a plus, but I know some people don't like it.

Great iPhone Replacement Buds
Pros: I bought these to upgrade my iPhone earbuds. Let me say this, "these earburds are great!"
When watching movies on my phone I feel like I am in the theater. Music sounds ten times better. For the price these can't be beat. Now I can sit at my desk and block out the outside world while I do my work and don't even have to crank the volume all the way like with Job's thingys.
Cons: A lil bass heavy but hey it says that on the packaging. Cord gets tangle easy and it doesn't come with a case. Just have to get use to wrapping the right ear piece around the back of ur neck.
Other Thoughts: Originally I bought some Shure SE110 for like three times the price. I took those back and bought these when I saw the Egg's price. Sound quality just as good and i don't have to loop it around my ears. Great for traveling on planes since in-ear monitors isolate your eardrums. Not recommended for jogging or running because you will hear a loud THUD! every time your heel hits the ground. But all IEM do that! I also gave some old 80's walkman headphones for my $15 rebate.

Great for commute
Pros: Good phones for use on a train - I used earphones that came with my Creative Zen Vision M, but the outside noise was bad, so I tried these, and they block outside train/people noise. Price is great too. I don't agree with people who say the cord is too short - I'm 6 feet tall and I can put the player in my jeans pocket and walk without pulling on the cord - a longer cord would tangle more. Also, the asymmetric cord is a good idea - it reduces tension as long as you run it behind your collar.
Cons: The Creative earphones sound better when there is no outside noise.
Other Thoughts: Perfect commuter earphones, especially for the price.

excellent
Pros: Just got these and will rerate if there are any problems, but so far so good. Comfortable in ears, they look cool, and the sound is excellent. Superior to the Sony ear buds I paid more for.
Cons: None yet.

Nice for da price
Pros: Seals off most noise so you can listen to the music at a decent level, and not have to blast your music and go deaf. Listening to Cusco Apurimac II is great, since these actually are capable of reproducing that heavy bass that few if any ear buds can, at least at this price, i.e. they sound like there are subs making the bass.
Cons: Wish it has a volume control like the OMX50, and a simple case. Can get a little uncomfortable over time. As usual, without the sound mixing in with a little air, the highs suffer, but manageable.
Other Thoughts: I use a Cowon iAudio U3. I use slightly less bass and boosted highs in the eq, 2 for Mach Bass, and MP Enhance on for great sound. I think also sealed ear buds put more stress on your ear drum, so don't be too volume happy, unless you want to go deaf.

Excellent everyday earphones, great value with rebate.
Pros: Very comfortable, especially with prolonged use. Good isolation, leaves some environment awareness. Good overall response range, better if your mp3 has decent adjustable equalizer settings. Excellent bass response. Comes with three pairs of different size ear cushions. 2.5mm plug will fit any recessed jack.
Cons: Wires are a bit thin, requiring cautious handling, but so are the wires on my Etymotic ER6's. No case.
Other Thoughts: I like the awareness of the envionment I get with the CX300's. My ER6's isolation is a different experience. The rebate requires mailing in a pair of used ear/headphones in any condition. The rebate is $15.00, you may net $13.00 - $14.00 depending on the postage to mail in the old phones. Still a worthy purchase for an upgrade of most mp3 player original earpones.

No midtones, poor quality junk
Pros: Cheap
Cons: There's almost no midtones--you're just getting the bass and the high tones. Also, right out of the box I got snap-crackle-popping. Very disappointed in this cheap product. It's not even worth what I paid after rebate. I'm returning it for a refund.

Good earphone
Pros: Good price, esp w the rebate. Good sound isolation - the rubber sleeve fits very tightly, and keeps the noise out.
Cons: Too much bass. I have to keep my iPods EQ at treble high for certain podcasts, etc. Most of the times, it's not too bad, but for certain recordings, the bass would be too much. No case - I don't understand why the manufacturers do not provide a case for their earphones!
Other Thoughts: Hard to beat quality for great price.

Great buy, great headphones
Pros: Have been searching for an inexpensive in-ear, noise canceling, headphone to wear while on an airplane or mowing my yard. These are it! Excellent quality and excellent noise blocking. I can mow with the volume level set almost the same as setting in my office. Good high’s and low’s, overall excellent sound quality.
Cons: Wires are thin and tangle very easy.
Other Thoughts: Great buy at this price. I have tried 4 different sets of headphones and these are my keepers.

beware of trade-up rebate
Pros: excellent fit, seals out almost all background noise, quite loud
Cons: even the smallest silicone inserts hurt my ears after extended wear (more than a couple hours)
Other Thoughts: Sennheiser's trade-up rebate ripped me off. I sent in all the required materials and rebate status shows invalid because of no UPC. Now I'm out a perfectly good pair of earbuds I sent in AND I won't be getting my $15 trade-up rebate. Total rip off so make sure you send in headphones that don't work.

Good Value
Pros: Excellent, fairly even response with no audible distortion. Tested with PC, iPod, phone, and even an analog mixer running off a pro CD deck; excellent, accurate quality from all sources. The volume varies extremely little over the frequency range, so these would be good for use as studio monitors or the like (I prefer canal phones for this because I can get by with only one in). Bass is not unevenly loud, despite the advertisement on the box ("Bass-Driven Sound"). Cord is short and easy to manage, which is good for those of you using this with an iPod and that sort of thing, as it doesn't get tangled or get in the way. Comes with three different sized pads to fit different ears; strangely enough, I ended up wearing the medium-size one for the right ear and the large one for the left, as for some reason previously unknown to me, my left ear canal is a bit wider than the right. Right-angle jack is always a plus, as it prevents the cord from being damaged at the end.
Cons: Cord is a little short for use with a PC or mixer, but since most people buying these will be using these primarily with iPods and won't need the long cord, this won't be a big deal. Plus you can always get an extension if it's really necessary.
These block out external sound very well. However, if you touch the cord or the earphones themselves, you will hear audible transmission artifacts; this is most evident when sitting in a quiet room with a strong fan or breeze, as you can hear the pressure changes on the earbuds. Not so noticeable if you have the music playing though, and above a certain volume you won't hear any noise at all.
Because of the small size of these buds, you won't feel bass vibrations as you would with larger headphones or speakers; however, this is a characteristic of all canal buds and not these in particular.

good headphones
Pros: noise isolation. good sound ranges for the money.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: as other users before have commented on the fact that one wire is longer than the other, this is a product design rather than a manufacturing flaw. one wire goes behind and around your neck (the longer of the two). anyway, this design is just a personal preference thing. if you don't like this design, go for the Creative EP-630 3.5mm Gold-Plated Connector Canal Noise Isolation Earphones. Both wires are even and the quality is pretty much comparable. sometime i think companies just buy the product from the same source and rebrand it as their own.

Good headphones
Pros: Great sound quality from such tiny buds. I like how they give you three ear fittings to make sure they fit snugly inside your ear. Also because the buds go inside you ear: 1. They don't tend to fall out like other ear buds I have tried 2. They have some outside noise muting properties.
Cons: I don't know if it's the headphones or just a poor quality jack, but they have a constant low hiss when nothing is playing.
Other Thoughts: Overall good headphones and for 15$ after rebate you really can't go wrong!

I love these!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: I was really hesitant to order these after I read about the possible counterfeiting going on. BUT the NewEgg is dependable and so I ordered them here. I do like them a lot, I just wish there were more of the little silicone tips or at least a place to buy the replacements without paying an arm and a leg for them. I am going to try Walmart as I use the small and do not need the medium or large. Maybe they carry a generic one.
Cons: None so far

Niceee
Pros: Good all around sound, very crisp. The noise attenuation does the trick in blocking outside noises allowing you to hear your music more fully.
Cons: Cord could be longer.
Other Thoughts: I bought this to because it dropped in price by $50. I didn't think they were worth what I bought them for at first because they kinda lacked the bass I was hoping for in a more expensive headphone but I've grown to like the quality and fullness of the sound.

Incredible
Pros: 16ohm impedance plays nice with portable media players. Excellent bass, mids, and highs. Bass is balanced and still powerful. Comfortable! Beats my previous earbuds for the same price.
Cons: When I started wearing these, I noticed a good bit of pressure in my ear when putting these in. I don't notice it anymore. Sound isolation may a little *too* good at times. The chance of hearing any outside noise when you have music playing, wanted or not, is hopeless. This could be good if you're mowing the lawn or bad if you're, say, at work.
Other Thoughts: Read the instructions! People in other reviews complain that one side is much longer than the other. It's not lack of quality, it's a feature. As Sennheiser explains in the instructions (which no one reads anymore), the longer cord was designed to go behind your neck and into your right ear. This takes strain off your ears. It is sometimes known as a "J type" configuration. Trust me. The manufacturer isn't at fault here. (It's more a case of PEBKAC.)
Also, make sure you select the right earpiece size for your ear. You want to make sure you have a good fit for the best sound.
I chose these over new circumaural headphones. I'm happy I did.

Ok
Pros: They sound good but the fit is a bit too tight or too lose with the adapters.
Cons: I just cant get past the length of the cord. One is 8" long the other is 22" whats up with that? They both should be the same 8" or 22' would be fine but with two different lengths you end up with a bunch of slack wire sitting on your shoulder.
Other Thoughts: I am debating on sending them back.

Poor Manufacturing Quality
Pros: Great Sound...... But
Cons: Poor Manufacturing Quality -- The Right side ear cord was 1 foot longer than the Left side ear cord. Thus, the left side keeps coming loose from your ear. Hopefully all their headphones aren't made this way with lack of Manufacturing Quality...
Other Thoughts: Might think about another Brand, since Quality and Customer comfort doesn't seem to be Sennheiser's concern.

good for the price
Pros: generally comfortable with soft rubber padding, good sound isolation, impressive low frequency reproduction, good overall sound
Cons: a little irritating in ear for extended use, sound isolation good for listening to source but not if you want to hear people around you, a little harsh in the high frequencies
Other Thoughts: I also own Sennheiser PC151 headphones. They both possess a similar Sennheiser sound, but because of the size, the PC151 do sound noticeably better. However, these are great for use with a portable media player. I keep mine in my laptop bag. Newegg has a great price and with the current rebate, the value can't be beat.

Amazing Sound
Pros: Just sound great, and block out external noises to boot. Light, comfortable, and the sale price was great.
Cons: Sound tranmission through cord from rubbing or wind typical of earbuds. Asymmetric cord lengths are more annoying than useful.
Other Thoughts: All in all, the sound quality makes these well worth the price, sound better than any cheap headphone and rival sony & bose cans without the size and weight.

From thin to excellent!
Pros: Cheap. Great sound after re-reading reviews (see below)
Cons: Not fond of the asymetric design, but will get used to it.
Other Thoughts: When I first listened to these, the sound was very thin, with practically no bass. Needless to say I was dissapointed. I re-read reviews and noticed some people had same experience as I while others had a lot of bass. Long story short, I tried different positioning with the buds, pushing them in a little further. Wow!!!!! HUGE difference. I had Bass, and the sound was awsome. Make sure you play around with positioning before giving up on these!

bad design
Pros: With the sale and rebate, they were cheap. Too cheap to bother returning.
Cons: "Asymmetric cable worn behind the neck for strain relief". I've never been strained by a symmetric cable, but I am by this one. What a dumb idea! The left ear plug cable is 7", the right is 20". This leaves one cable with excess dangling, and the other cable pulling the plug out of my ear. With the player stowed in a shirt pocket as depicted, this may not be a problem. I bought these for working around the house. I drop the player down the back of my shirt to have the cord out of the way, and the player stowed in my pants pocket. The cord is not long enough to do this. Wish they would have given me the excess 13" of cable dangling from the right plug and added it to the length.
Other Thoughts: The cheap ear buds that came with my Zen mp3 player sound better, but don't stay in place at all.

Rebate is NOT a scam!
Pros: At $29.99., this was a steal. After I broke mine in (took about 5 hours I think), the sound was excellent. I am using the medium sized buds which are slightly bigger than I would like for my ears, so the bass is a bit too bassy for rock songs, but I can live with it. Asymmetrical cord is not bad, when it is behind my neck, I can still move freely and the earphone will still stay in my ears.
Cons: The cord is thin so be careful with it. When I connect the "earphones" to my laptop, I can hear hissing when there is no music drowning out the hiss. I don't get this using my Sennheiser "headphones". This could be the fault of my soundcard but I don't know.
Other Thoughts: Sennheiser warranty is good for 2 years. Regarding the mail-in rebate, make sure you mail the "UPC" (barcode on the right of the back of the package) and not the "EAN" (barcode on the bottom of the back of the package).

Great for the Price
Pros: Does exactly what I wanted. The stock Apple iPod earbuds didn't fit my ear very well and were of low audio quality. I wanted a better fit and quality. I definitely got them both. I tested these on a bus with background noise and they were awesome! I had the volume of my 3rd gen Nano set to about 30% and I could easily hear my music. The quality was very good, considering the size. Definitely a worthy replacement for all iPod owners.
Cons: The packaging was extremely difficult to open!
Other Thoughts: Note that these earbuds go into your ear canal. Make sure they are fully inserted else the bass will be lacking. And due to the noise-canceling ability, you have to take these out when you talk to someone.

Amazing!
Pros: Absolutely everything. They sound amazing, and leave you totally deaf to the world outside your music. Best buy for your money!
Cons: Would be nice to see an extra 1-1.5 feet added on in cord length. I'm 6'5" and it's JUST perfect length for me to move comfortably without stretching it. If you're taller, just buy a 2 ft extension cable. That's what I did, just to be sure and it works amazingly.
Other Thoughts: What are you waiting for?

Canal earbuds -----------
Pros: Exceptionally well sound. Granted, it can be a bit bassy but it says it right on the package its "Bass Driven". Also, I need to point out. People are saying this lacks bass. It doesn't AS LONG as you use the correct ear pieces that fit your ear. I can ONLY use the medium or else I don't get a decent sound. The small will be too trebly and the large barely fit. Please try all the earbuds.
Cons: The only cons I can think of are the following:
1) I am not a fan of the style of the wire. I am more of a symmetrical wire fan. No biggie though.
2) the Wires feel kind of thin and am slightly worried they may not have enough protection, though this is a great company, so I am sure they know what they are doing.
3) The package was almost impossible to get open without cutting the thing to shreds! Lol. Not much of a problem though so who cares. =D
Other Thoughts: I produce music and use more professional style headphones, which are also Sennheiser, and for the price of these... It's a steal. Go get another pair for about this price and compare them.. if you use the correct ear bud piece... you will understand!

Pretty good
Pros: Great price here on newegg. Fit well in my ears (comes with 3 sets of adaptors for different ear sizes). Headphones look good.
Cons: I personally don't like the cord (unequal lengths on left and right side). Also, the cord is too short if you'd like to use these with a PC at your desk and the jack is more than a foot away.
Other Thoughts: The sound quality is good, not great. Turning the volume up above 50-60% causes distortion. Sound quality is about right given the price though. I don't think you can get a great-sounding set of canal headphones priced below ~ $150. If you want great sound for less, explore traditional over-ear headphones. The trade off is bulkiness. Sennheiser is typically my #1 choice for all headphones and after this purchase, my feelings have not changed. I also have the HD280 Pro and HD202 models, both bigger, but both provide rockin' sound.

Inaccurate frequency response
Pros: Small, lightweight, comfortable; only $15 after rebate.
Cons: Way too much bass. This is my first time owning Sennheiser brand headphones, and I'm disappointed. These headphones do go low, but they have really boomy bass. I assume Sennheiser intentionally designed them this way because a lot of consumer want more bass from their headphones, so if you're looking for more accurate sound reproduction, consider other brands or models.
Other Thoughts: I own a pair of Paradigm Mini Monitor bookshelf speakers that I'm using to compare the sound to. These headphones sound terribly off when A/B testing against those speakers. Surprising, my previous in-ear headphones (Philips SHE9500, $30) had a [perceived] much flatter frequency response. They broke after a year of regular use, which is why I bought the Sennheiser's.

Excellent for the $
Pros: Excellent earbuds. Work in a "cube" environment and it cuts the noise down substantially. Wires don't easily pull out. This is my third (home/office) set since I ran over the last one with the lawnmower.
Cons: Nothing on the earbuds. Newegg was excellent as usual.
Submitted rebate to Sennsheiser (rebate processing) with broken earbuds and the rebate was denied for missing UPC. Scam. I ALWAYS tape my UPC to forms AND write my name address on the back of the UPC and still no UPC was received. Yes, I have copy, but "we" don't accept copies.
Still for the original price it was well worth it. Save your postage on the rebate though!

BASS!
Pros: These little headphones are loaded with a powerful bass response. very good for hip hop and techno. sleek design, great sound isolation. the knocking bass can be felt.
Cons: cable is thin. careful with it. the bass may drown out some of the the other frequencies, which can be a problem when listening to rock.
Other Thoughts: they are sennheisers.

Great earphones for the price
Pros: Cheap, huge upgrade from standard MP3 player headphones, tiny, multiple sized ear buds, stays in your ear well, blocks outside noises (finally, been looking for this forever), a great sound that's not too boomy.
Cons: Nothing
Other Thoughts: I upgraded to these from Sony in ear headphones and these are much better. Not only do they block out sound better than some full size headphones, they have an impressive sound for the size.
Make sure you break these in before making judgments, mine had a little too much treble when I first got them, now they are fine.

Another Excellent Sennheiser Product
Pros: These headphones break the bang for a buck bank. They are excellent headphones, easily worth twice the price. They didn't give me the 'wow' that my pair of PX100's did when I first heard them, but these are a respectable pair of headphones. Highly recommend these headphones!!!
Cons: If you plan on eating lunch while listening to these headphones forget it, all you'll hear is yourself chewing. The chords do make sound when moving. By no means a deal breaker.
Other Thoughts: As many have said, make sure you use the correct fitting ear pieces. I found the large set worked best for me. There was a big difference in bass attenuation when I went from medium to large ear pieces.
