best headset
Pros: When combined with a Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music this is absolutely the best sounding piece of audio equipment I have owned. I have a few bose speaker systems and this headsent blows them all away, especially in online gaming when combined with the SoundBlaster's CMSS-3D you can hear where enemy fire is coming from.
Cons: the cord is a bit skinny, but it hasn't caused any problems so far
Other Thoughts: works well with Skype too

Great Headset
Pros: I purchased these to replace a pair of Sennheiser PC150s that I had. To be honest they're almost exactly the same except these have bigger earpads and a slightly thicker cord. They sound alittle clearer but I don't know if that's just me thinking they do b/c I can't get a side-by-side comparision.
Cons: Although the earpads are bigger they still do start to pinch your ears after long sessions.
Other Thoughts: If you already have a pair of PC150's and were considering upgrading to these, spend your money on something else, but if you don't have anything else to spend your money on, go ahead and get these anyway :D

Good sound
Pros: Awsome sound when connected to my Bose desktop speakers or directly into my sound card. I can actually hear the 360 sound in Call of Duty and Gothic III and Guild Wars.
Cons: I give it a 4 because the head piece is made from plastic. I have a cheap pair of Labtec head phones that have a nice sturdy steel band. This Sennheiser PC160 headset feels like it will snap if I set it down too hard.
Other Thoughts: I love the extra long cord, and the mic has a black foam cover that comes on it which isn't shown in the photo.

Not convinced
Pros: They look nice (who cares? I want them to sound nice). They could sound even nicer if I figured out how to adjust my sound settings, I wish I had an equilizer so I could adjust things. As they are, CS:S sounds weird, maybe a tad muddy. Still, sound is better than a cheap-O set from brand XXX.
Cons: The greatest drawback on the PC160 is the earpieces, they are not over-the-ear, they are on-the-ear so they pinch my ear just right. After 45 mins or so I start feeling it and I have to reposition them or take a break.
Other Thoughts: Another brand I recomend looking at is Plantronics (usually cheaper than Senhs) but the earpiece design is about the same, and, on paper the Hz response was a tad better on the Senhs.

amazing
Pros: very comfortable, clear/crisp microphone, 360 degree sound, somewhat thick wiring...ordered these mid november, just found out today that i can get a free set of mx55v street headphones by mail...check it out under special offers to the left :)
Cons: cord is a little too long, and i get accused of wallhacking because i can hear everything now :(
Other Thoughts: upgraded from pc150s after the mic stopped working because the cord was rolled over by a chair...these sound ALOT better, and are even more comfortable, and the main thing was that the wires are thicker on these...very satisfied and highly recommended

Great Headset
Pros: These headphones sound great, they wires are all fairly sturdy, as is everything else. The volume switch has a much better design than most i've seen and it doesnt look like it will break. And whoever said they hurt your ears is crazy because i can barely feel them on my head :D. Highly Recomended.
Cons: The price is a little steep.
Other Thoughts: took 5 days to ship, but thats because i ordered it late thursday afternoon.

Average PC Builder
Pros: Very comfertable for limited gaming sessions under 4 hrs. I wear glasses with them and still find them comfertable. Very crisp sound, I can tell from what direction I'm being at shot from. Very good voice mic for gaming, BF2 and BF2142.
Cons: Can't wear them for those marathon gaming sessions. Cable is annoying sometimes.
Other Thoughts: If you have a family and have to be quiter these are perfect. If you wear glasses just put the head phones on first and raise them a little higher. Take breaks every 30 minutes are so.

Great but some Major problems
Pros: I have owned 3 sets of these headsets. The sound quality is awsome, very sharp and clear. It definitly will give you a foot up against any online competitor.
Cons: The first set Worked great untill my dog got them and ripped the cord out of the housing. Then I got another one this one worked fine for about a month and then it just stopped working altogether one day? I dont know what happened but all of the connections worked and they looked like they did out of the box. Mystery?
Other Thoughts: I liked them so much that I have bought another set. Hopefully these will work!

Pros: Very good microphone and sound quality
Cons: Uncomfortable if you wear glasses, volume control piece's lowest setting is still very audible so you need to mute on the software-side (tested it on three PCs), head phome loosens after relative pressure and time, volume control piece is a little bit far off

Pros: Right out of the box fits and feels awsome. My ears do not hurt at all. I have X-FI sound card and these just sounds awsome with it.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: NEWEGG is the best $5 to ship got them the nest day. No other company offers that.GO NEWEGG

Good Clean Sound
Pros: --- I like the crispness of the sound I get with this headset.I get a good accurate indication of where sounds are comming from in Call of Duty 2. I do believe I pick up alot more sounds I didn't hear with my last headset. (Altec Lansing AHS series) Which is why I bought these. --- Very comfortable (I have a pretty average sized head). I get no head pinch headache, even with my glasses on. It seems the band has just enough flex in it to keep it firmly in place, yet not too tight. And my ears stay cool, even in the 100 degree weather were having right now.
Cons: --- A little less Bass than I am used too with my Altec Lansings. Which I expected when I purchased these.
--- Sometimes the treble is so crisp (in game) it hurts my ears, but I'm sure I can tweak that with my EAX console.
Other Thoughts: I am very satisfied with this headset. When my mic went out with my last headset, I decided to do a little research before buying a new one. I narrowed it down to the Steelsound H5's, the Icemats, and these. I chose these just based on word of mouth in the gamming community, and because a good number of profesional players stand behind Sennheiser.
I was also a little dismayed at the numerouse accounts of steelsound and icemat owners reporting thier headsets breaking under light use. Speakers / mics dieing etc... I am very happy with my decision.

Quality
Pros: Very nice sound, I've taken it on a few long trips with me and it hasn't broken. The mic on/off is handy, as well as the volume slider. Comfortable, too!
Cons: None to speak of...
Other Thoughts: Great deal, at least when I bought them - money well-spent.

Pretty good....
Pros: These headphones offer great sound, as expected from sennhesier. The mic is very clear and loud which is also great.
Cons: They hurt! After about 20min of wearing the my ears begin to ache... I have no idea why they didn't just make the earpieces overlap the ear...
Other Thoughts: These headphones are really good, and the pain issue seems to differ from person to person... Just hope you're not one of them.

Very Good
Pros: This is my second PC160 headset. Had my previous headset for almost a year. Very comfortable. Sound Quality is just amazing. Newegg and UPS are amazing. I ordered this yesterday morning with standard shipping. They shipped the same day and UPS delived today! Pretty Good for standard shipping.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: This is my second PC160 headset. My first one broke. Yesterday the wire got tangled around my chair and when I stood up I got caught in the wire and broke the headset. It was my fault. I bought another one and I got it today!

Nice idea but very uncomfortable
Pros: Construction quality, inline volume/mic control, flexible mic boom
Cons: Painful to wear for more than 10 minutes. The padding on the headband seems sufficient but after a while I notice the top of my head is in a lot of pain. Also the ear pieces do not go over/surround your ears, they sit directly on your ear which is very uncomfortable because the headphones are very high-tension. I stretched th headset out for a day and its a little better, but it is still painful. If I were to stretch them any farther they would be too loose to stay on my head. If the earpieces went over the ears this would not be a problem.
Other Thoughts: I knew going into this purchase that the ear pieces didnt go around th ears but rather sat directly on them which isnt something I was excited about but others said how comfortable they were and I went for the purchase anyway. If you prefer the type of earpieces that cover your ears instead of sit direactly on them as I do, please dont be stupid like me and buy these anyway, you wont be happy with them at all.
At this point I'm reduced to wearing this headset around my nec so that I can use the mic, but I use another pair of headphones to hear the audio. It works but it would be nice if I could just use the PC160s for both.

Great product - thin cord
Pros: Good Sennheiser sound - I use it for everything from Skype to gaming. The sound is close to audiophile quality from the phone output on the computer
Cons: Headset a bit awkward and could be more comfortable - cable is thin and should be taken care of. Sound quality and comfort is not near as good as my HD-650 cans but for $400 less they are not bad and do not require an amp.
Other Thoughts: People complaining about the speakers going out most likely ran over the cord with their chair - the cord is thin and vulnerable. Keep it off the floor.

Not worth it.
Pros: Fairly comfortable.
Cons: The pad that rests on top of your head comes loose very easily. The mic on the left side took some getting used to.
Other Thoughts: Save some money and get the 15x series.

Great sound. Horrible tech support.
Pros: Top notch sound for gaming. You can easily tell from which direction enemy footsteps are coming from. Great for music too. Microphone is OK.
Cons: Wire is too thin and breaks easily. Less than a month the right channel went out. Sennheiser tech support is incompetent.
Other Thoughts: I RMA'd them back to Sennheiser. It took a month to get them back, all they did was cut off the connecter. Back they went; another month later connecter back on, speaker still out. Back again; another month and still not repaired. I will never buy another pair of Sennheisers again.

Best I have ever used
Pros: OK First things first > Newegg Rocks !!!! Now on to the headset. It is by far the best headset I have ever used for gaming. I would buy another set or recommend them to anyone that wants them for gaming. They sound great! I wore them for about 3 hours while playing COD2 and they were very comfortable, To me! My buddies told me the mic sounded better than my last set by far. They told me I sounded very clear and sharp.
Cons: I'm sure there are some cons I just haven't found them. If I was to speculate on a con for these I would have to say it might be something to do with the adjustment part of the headset. I can see where they might loosen up over time and not stay in adjustment.
Other Thoughts: I gotta tell you I was not real excited about spending this much on a Headset for gaming. I have never spent this much on headsets before, but I decided that I wanted a really nice set for a change and I am very glad I bought these. Put it like this. You wouldn't expect a $xx camera to take pictures like a $xx camera. Well same goes for headsets too. Buy these - You won't be sorry. And buy them from Newegg!!!

Sounds great, a little uncomfortable.
Pros: Great range in sound from the headphones. Rich bass, clear mids and highs with little distortion. The mic does an excellent job of picking up voices and transmits them with almost professional grade clarity. Amazingly little distortion when redlining them. While gaming, the headset does an excellent job of reproducing positional sounds vital to gamers.
Cons: The headset is contoured so that it hugs the head a little too tight (I don't consider myself to have a big head). After an hour of game play I kept thinking I had my glasses on because of the discomfort I had around my ears (BTW I did not have my glasses on). Also, because of the pressure my ears felt a little hot under the set. My Plantronics v 90 were far more comfortable.
Other Thoughts: When it comes to binaural gaming headsets, you may find many that will match up to these, but you will be hard pressed to find any that can out perform them. This is a no frills headset, none of the fancy external powerpacks and USB connectors.

Some flaws but good
Pros: Great sound quality. Fairly long length. Volume control on cable.
Cons: 3d sound not very faithful. After wearing for long periods my ears tend to hurt.
Other Thoughts: Supposedly these are great for replicating 3d sound -- however in most games (Doom3, HL2, BF2, Quake 4) It's really hard for me to tell if something somewhat in the distance is AHEAD or BEHIND -- it sounds the same.

Great Headphones for Gaming..
Pros: These cans are comfortable for extended gaming sessions. I've worn them for 8 hours straight without any kind of discomfort. They sound really good when coupled with a med-high end sound card, don't expect miracles from low end onboard sound. They look really nice compared to a lot of headsets I've owned.
Cons: A little pricey, but well worth it if your a die hard gamer and appreciate precise sound reproduction.
Other Thoughts: I've owned these for atleast 6 months now. I haven't had one problem with them. They are fairly durable considering that they have lasted through the abuse that my 5yr old son put them through. Get yourself a pair today.

Stop looking...just buy these.
Pros: These sound great! I had the Altec Lansing AH502i's and the PC160's blow them away. I'm taking my Altec's back today. I did a ton of research tryng to find the best headset and seemed everyone liked Sennheisers...now I know why. They are VERY comfortable and the mic sounds great when I play Battlefield 2 and on Teamspeak. If you sifting through reviews and can't decide which headset to get...stop, and buy these. You'll be happy.
Cons: I know people have complained about wearing this headset while wearing glasses. However, wearing any type of headset while wearing glasses will be uncomfortable to some extent. Unless you use an earbud style of headphones. I just tilt the back of my glasses so their above the earpiece and I'm good. Can wear the headset for hours that way.

Tight
Comments: Received this headset on 10-12-05. Bought for gaming and voice chat. Nice sounds but the headset is tight with no adjustment. I wear glasses and the ear cups press the stems into my head making the headset uncomfortable after about a half hour and I have to remove the headset to give my head a break which is disruptive to game playing. After over a month of using this set the comfort level is still the same for me so if you wear glasses be aware. Also the foam comfort piece that sits on top of your head became detached from the frame after approx. a week which considering the price of this headset was a surprise..

uncomfortable
Comments: Day 3 and my ears are not happy. Not from the great sound this headset provides but the odd angle the unit rest on my ears. Not being a side show freak my head is normal shaped so I don't understand why they are so unpleasant to wear. Thinking about sending them back but will wait to see if get use to the discomfort.

Don't do it!
Comments: These headphones were great at first. Lasted about two months, then the the left speaker went out. Not worth the money! I have learned my lesson and will pass it on to all my online ganing friends.
Spend 20$-30$ on some headphones and be done with it.
Very dissapointed.

Great
Comments: These headphones work, feel, and sound great. The only thing I could find about them at all is if you turn the headphones up to a mildly obscene volume, the sound distorts somewhat - but since there's no reason to ever turn the volume up that high, these work exactly as advertised.

The sound...not what I expected.
Comments: The sound is just average. I've played around with the sound settings (eq) and they sound just like my 202 headphones also made by the same company. To much hipe behind Sennheiser. I gave them a shot twice and thats enough. The only good thing about the pc160 is that they are conmfortable. The ear cups have alot of padding and they are covered with a cloth like material instead of leatheret (which tends to heat up your ears after a while) The mic also works fine. If you need something conmfortable get these. And like I mention before the sound is just average. For the price I was expecting something alot better.

Perfect combination
Comments: Creative Audigy ZS along with this headset is a great combination. In games (battlefield 2) it sounds perfect with custom bass/treble Settings. Default sound is not that great no matter which soundcard you have in your computer or device your listening too. To fully grasp what headphones or speakers in general can produce, you need to have some sort of Equalizer. With that said, you need to read how to set them up properly. The average person will just crank the bass, and listen to fuzz and call it awesome. Small amount of people will take the time to read about what each Hz-MHz setting is meant for and adjust accordingly. Even the little EQ in Winamp (for music) can give you better results than playing them off of default settings. My advice is read up on how to set up a EQ and fine tune your settings. (Should take about 20 minutes) if you really care about sound that is :)
Enjoy!

Good Gaming Headset
Comments: This headset is great for games/VOIP. Games sound great and the mic quality is superb. With that said, they sort of lack when listening to music.
This headset is also extremely comfortable, probably the most comfortable headset I have ever worn. This is impportant during hours of gaming.
4.5 eggs if I could. Definately recommended.

How do you turn on 3D?
Comments: I bought these for "3D" sound, but I don't know how to enable it. When I tell my creative software that I have 5.1 and then hit test, I don't hear the virtual 5.1 I was expecting from these (I only get left and right)

A Good headset
Comments: It's a good headset. Only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5, because the wire is very cheap. Also, the little block that keeps the two halves from spliting is mended onto the wirecoating so its for looks only, not utility if you want to pull your two halves apart like I did. I had to take an xacto knife and cut it in half. otherwise, good for a crisp, "I know where everyone is at" headset, but not the best for music (not the best bass)
overall, I don't really think these are worth the money, maybe worth $xx. And I'm coming from a pair of $xx Altec Lansing AH502 2 year old headsets. these better last me 3 years ._.

Great Headset!
Comments: I purchased this for BF2, and they compliment my SoundBlaster Audigy2 ZS perfectly. The price is just right for these headsets. I wouldn't spend more than what Newegg is charging. It definitely lives up to the hype. It delivers crisp clear highs, and smooth clean bass.

Excellent
Comments: Most comfortable headset I've ever owned. The fact that you can wear them for hours on end and not even feel like they are there speaks for itself.
Bought this headset to replace a couple of recently purchased Logitech headsets which constantly had problems. This headset has crystal clear sound, enhancing the atmosphere of all the top of the line games at this time ( Counterstrike Source, BF2, WoW )
And of course, the quick and painless newegg process was a pleasure.

Excellent 3D Sound
Comments: This headset is excellent if you want 3D sound and a excellent mic. You can hear what's going around you the same experience you get in a surround sound system. Hear footsteps behind you or planes. Great to use with Battlefield 2. Got it in two days with Fedex Saver shipping.

Wow!
Comments: Great headset! Sounds MUCH better than the $xx Pioneer headphones I've been using for several years. Biggest surprise was much lower distortion. Very clean sound. Easy to listen to for hours n hours. Very comfortable fit (3 hours last night - no pain, no irritation - quit cuz I needed food!). VOIP calls worked great with these. Amazing how much better a caller's voice sounds on this headset compared to a yelephone. Worth the bucks.

Great item!
Comments: I bought this headset a few weeks ago. I am so impressed I am thinking about getting one for my son. It has extremely good sound and fits comfortably. The mic works great too. It is great for gaming and you can hear the sound of someone coming up from behind or to one side. NewEgg rocks!

Comments: Loved these things. I've used the Sennheiser mab40 headset before, and this has some nice features: single cord doesn't get in the way, the in-line controls are useful for those who don't own Platinum soundcards. Also the padding is cushy. A little more pressure than expected, but wearing them for a couple days cured that.

Comments: Good pair of headphones, purchased the PC150s first and then upgraded to these. The earpieces are larger than the 150s but I was expecting full ear coverage like on my sony v700s. Nicer looks with better materials used, highly recommended!

Comments: Extremely nice headset, more comfortable then the PC 150's with higher audio quality as well... I do wish the wire was heavier duty but I'm satisfied with it. You'll have a HARD time finding any place with these in stock.
