Not Business Quality
Pros: Very fast and efficient Draft Mode for letter size prints. A lot of printer's Draft Modes are unusable due to such low quality, but this HP works well for this purpose. Low ink consumption. Large ink cartridges. Large paper format; 13x19
Cons: Very poor paper loading mechanism. Frequently jams or loads multiple pages at once, but spread out so it will print a single page spread across three pieces of paper. Will not pick up paper when there is less than 10 pages in the tray. Terrible performance with images larger than letter size. Takes SOOO long to print a 300dpi 13x19 image it is not worth it.
Other Thoughts: Bought this printer for a small business to print several hundred Tabloid size(11x17) newsletters every month, but the poor speed of the printjob(2 days for 200 prints) and terrible reliability(paper jams) have made this printer the most frustrating piece of equipment I have ever purchased. It works well for high speed prints with letter size, but why buy a large format printer if it can't print large format...

Has Worked Well for Me
Pros: Great quality, 11x17 capable, decent speed, decent price, network capable/duplexer version (DN) available.
Cons: None. Do not buy for high quality photo printing.
Other Thoughts: It is a great small business color printer that can print 11x17 when needed at a decent price. It is not a photo printer, though it will print color images adequately for presentations. I have had no issues with the feeder mech. I needed a general purpose color printer that could handle most print tasks including 11x17 AutoCad printouts. For this purpose, you would be hard-pressed to find a better printer in my opinion. I have the network & duplexer (dn) version.

you get what you pay for... iguess
Pros: Really inexpensive for large format (11"x17").
Cons: Kinda slow. Printable surface not quite as large as a Laser (specifically the HP 8500 it was to reaplce). First one pretty much died after 8 or 9 months.
Other Thoughts: What can i say, we paid around $600 if i remember when we bought it and the price has dropped considerately. If you need a large format printer it will work. Just don't expect photo quality prints or lightning fast output. But considering the price of any other large format printers, i think it worth it. I must note that within the first year it had serious problems that led to an RMA directly with H.P. which i may add, they took care of after some trouble-shooting.

Poor Quality
Pros: Cheap price, 11x17 paper capability, nice color printing.
Cons: Yanks paper from tray crooked. Print margins are not a standard size. I've tried everything to try to make it print a standard document size we use in AutoCAD: no luck. The printable area is smaller than normal. The print preview lies. It shows that it will print an object, then cuts it off. Poor quality materials used. Plastic everywhere. And finally, it's always making clicks and rattling noises. Whatever it's doing in there, it's annoying.
Other Thoughts: I'm returning it. I've always been happy with the business class HP printers, but this machine is junk.
