Great Printer
Pros: Good fast printing, good scans, and no problems faxing.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Other Thoughts: I have owned this printer for over a year and I'm very happy with it.

Not as good as past HP Printers
Pros: Multi-Function;Crisp print quality in black and white or color; flat bed for copying
Cons: I send and receive lots of faxes. The time it takes to scan in a fax is ridiculous. You have to stand over the machine and almost hand feed each page to make sure you don't get a paper jam and then you still have to rescan more often than not. If you just fax occasionally then this would be an ok machine. If you fax heavy volume, get something that scans fast and feeds easily without jamming.

Great Printer
Pros: Great overall printer. I felt it necessary to write this review after purchasing 2 of these for my small business. Both have worked flawlessly. The first for nearly a year!
Cons: Software package was a little glitchy. Imagezone has basic options for pictue editing.
Other Thoughts: Overall a great printer at a fair price. And as allways new egg rocks with fast service and support.

Great Concept, Poor Execution
Pros: Lots of features. They all work. Scan-to automatically detects computers on network and knows which software it can scan to on your machine. Custom tailor this through HP software. Networked memory card reader.
Cons: Defective ink cartridge carriage. Not working after just over a month. Bloated software package. For $300, I would've liked to see additional paper tray.
Other Thoughts: The software really does take a while to install on each machine. Why is it so heavy? I've never seen this before. Seems like I'm not the only one with a faulty ink carriage. I wouldn't buy it again.

If you like paper jams...
Pros: It's a great paper weight!
Cons: This printer jams constantly while printing, the install cd takes FOREVER to install, and I always find myself re-re-re-reinstalling the cd to make the printer work again. I cant believe that HP ever allowed this printer to be released. And who is writing their code?!?! It's horrible!
Other Thoughts: I've been a hp fan for many years. I love my hp 5550! It works great! But this all-in-one 7210 is by far hp's biggest failure.

Just needs duplex standard and better software.
Pros: Arrived quickly. Setup was easy; detected all the computers on the LAN without a hitch. Prints come out very good for a multifunction printer. Fax function works great.
Cons: No duplex; thought all unit came with duplex unit. Software could be better. HP Iamge Zone runs a little slow and doesn't have a lot of features.
Other Thoughts: HP might want to just make duplex standard for all their All-In-Ones. With an update to the software, it would be almost perfect. If the user doesn't have photo editing software, Image Zone doesn't have too many options for editing.

Good all-in-one printer, could be better though
Pros: Solid design and performance. Reasonable price. Feature rich. Everthing you may need from a common all-in-one machine in the office.
Cons: -Bloated software. The full suite will eat up 700+ MB of your disk space. Limited (express) installation still uses 360 MB. Does it have to be this heavy to just do some printing and scanning? I don't think so. Besides its installer offers no other way to further customize what you need to install. -Questionable quality (and support). I bought two and one ended up going back to HP because of a persistent scanner failure message. Then the replacement had a broken tray. The second replacement finally works. Phew... To be fair, the support techs are very helpful and patient but their products need to be more reliable.

Not the best quality Printer or service
Pros: Delivery was wonderful (FAST)
Cons: I made a mistake by buying a printer online, The Printer arrived DOA. I called HP and after 45 mins on the phone they sent a new print cartridge. Two days later the print cartridge comes but does not solve anything, another 45 mins on the phone. HP then sends me a permanent replacement after credit card security, of course this turns out to be a rconditioned machine not new. It would have been so much better to just take it back and get a "New" machine, instead I had to Indore this nightmare. Lessen learned.

Nice unit
Pros: Mechanically, everything works great. Overall, the unit is vey fast.
Cons: Software is a bit clunky. Had to install twice for proper operation. At present, there are no Linux drivers on the HP site for this unit.
Other Thoughts: Networked from two computers and works well from both.

HP Officejet 7210 All-in-One
Pros: has its own dialup modem and keypad for the fax so sending faxes doesn't have to involve using the computer.Has both firewire and Usb connections so connecting 2 computers is a breeze(no router needed)the software doesn't bog down your computer and you can choose whether to have the icon running in the taskbar or not. Turning it off doesn't interfere with use of the printer at least it didn't in mine.
Cons: the smartcard connections on the front do not work with a kodak DX6490 card
Other Thoughts: For an all in one printer/fax/copier/scanner/photo printer, it is the best for the price. It has been an essential element in our business.

HP OfficeJet 7210
Pros: I like the appearance of the unit and the location of the front panel controls. I needed an All-in-One unit and the 7210s features suit my home office & family uses perfectly.
Cons: None so far, and I do not expect any to arise!
Other Thoughts: I replaced a 1995 OfficeJet with this unit and could not be more pleased! The print, copy & fax functions are excellent! I have not used the photo print or scan yet, but I do not think I'll be disappointed.
Setup & installation was very simple; I just followed the instructions and I now have it networked on a desktop & laptop. I'll network a second desktop & another laptop later in the week.
I was a bit concerned that some of the reviewers had installation problems, but I found none.
Thanks Newegg! A great product with great service at a great price!

HP Officejet 7210
Pros: Huge upgrade from my previous printer (HP 920c). Very versatile printer. I was impressed with the quality of the copied images (the copy I made looked better than the original). Another great HP product.
Cons: Doesn't come with a USB cable.
Other Thoughts: New Egg comes through again.

Love it
Pros: All I gotta say is this thing is sweet. Follow the instructions and its a breeze to install. I did the network install (primary reason for buying was the network capabilities). Took me less then 20 mins and that includes the reboots. I haven't had any problems yet but I just got it so that could change. Make sure you check and change any network settings on the printer before you load up the drivers, maybe that was other peoples problems with it. I like that you can print the network setting without having it installed to a PC.
Cons: None Yet.....
Other Thoughts: If you have a small home network and need a MFC machine to share and don't want to spend a fortune this is the only way to go. HP makes some of the best imaging equitment on the market and this is no exception. Its ok with photos and text is nice and sharp.

Fantastic Printer
Pros: Very fast, clean printing. Easy setup.
Cons: Software is in need of refinement. Will not allow you to scan using the flatbed and the sheet-feeder in the same job.

Excellent home office printer for the price
Pros: Fast! Very good build quality. I would recommend this printer over the HP 6210 to anyone trying to decide between them. The paper tray and feed on the 7210 is much better designed and built than on the 6210. It also uses higher capacity ink cartridges. The overall quality of the 7210 is excellent. The print, scan and fax quality is perfectly fine. This isn't going to print photos like a HP Photosmart will but it still does very well with everyday photos. You would be hard pressed to make a better choice for a small home office setting.
Cons: None after about a month of use.
Other Thoughts: Some people have had trouble installing the software but I had none at all. Using Windows XP Pro with service pack 2 and choosing the light install the process went smoothly.

High-quality machine
Pros: The OfficeJet 7210 machine is a fantastic piece of hardware. The Auto-Document Feeder (ADF) passes sheets firmly and without jamming. This unit can scan multiple *double-sided* sheets for either digital manipulation or straight copying. Overall the hardware is solid and attractive.
Cons: The software package (HP Director and HP Image Zone) is combined with the OJ 7210 driver into a single executable. It's not possible to install the scanner, printer and fax drivers without installing at least some of the other software. I recommend performing a full installation, because I suspect the software really isn't written to successfully complete the partial install option.
Other Thoughts: I had to reinstall the software four times before it worked correclty on my Win2K Pro system. (I contacted HP tech support for a driver issue, and they simply told me to reinstall it repeatedly until it worked). Once I had done that, though, I found the software to be highly useful, relatively fast, and quite reliable. Even the Image Zone software is pretty neat in some ways, with useful image manipulation tools.

Good Hareware / Okay Software
Pros: I'm quite please with this device. I've had it for approximately 4 months. The print quality is very good. The scan quality is very good. The document feeder works well. The fact that I can attach it to my network and all user can both print to it and scan from it. ...very cool! The ink is moderately priced.
Cons: My only beef with this product is the HP software that makes it work. The apps (various HP services) grab upwards of 30MB of RAM and do seem to make my PCs a little slower and a little less stable.
Other Thoughts: The price to feature ratio is incredible. I'd highly recommend it for a small office or big home network.

Good Printer for the money.
Comments: Setting this up was a breeze. Just a warning that the printer gets automatic IP address when adding to a home router/hub. For any printer you will have to set a manual IP address first before you install the client software.

Comments: The printer is OK and seems to work after a couple of weeks of light usage . I have used basic functions of printing, copying and faxing. I have a SOHO with three (sometimes four) systems (all XP) on my network. The HP setup software is really bad. The first system took me seven tries to completely load the setup software to get it to work. It would usually just hang during the process, however a couple times it completed, but with very limited basic functionality only. I was ready to RMA the unit based on this experience. The next day and a fresh start, I loaded the software on my two other systems, and both worked fully the first time, as they should. This replaced an aging K60 OfficeJet that required a print server to use on my network. I never even considered emailing HP support due to a previous very bad experience with them on the K60.
NewEgg shopping was super fast as usual. NewEgg rocks!

Comments: I received this only A week ago but so far I love it. I really like that it can be hooked up to my network instead of having it hooked up to my pc or a external print server. It is has a nice size to it is small for a all-in-one, and has tons of features.

Great MF system for a LOW price!
Comments: I only received this printer/etc yesterday and think it's wonderful thus far. I compared many and already had a Brother MFC 7200 and really think that this one is the best thus far for my personal and some business uses at home. Time of course will tell but the price is such a bargain and it's HP so I definitely think it will be "all that it can be". Recommended strongly!
