Good Printer
Pros: We've had this printer for about a year and it does good quality and vivid prints in both color and black.
Cons: The paper loading mechanism failed after a year. We were not sure if it was a sensor issue but it kept reporting that the front cover was open and prevented the paper from feeding properly which in turn will end up as a paper jam.
Other Thoughts: Would be nice if it had wireless connectivity.

Great buisness class printer
Pros: The over all quality their printers is top notch Print speed is very good Color and finish is great!
Cons: Warm up a bit slow Cost of toner is a bit much
Other Thoughts: We use 2-Oki Laser printers c5200 and c5500 and 1-High end HP Laser printer for our office. We use all of them frequently with each averaging around 1000 to 2000 pages per month sometimes more. The Oki printers are preferered by my staff for speed and output quality. They have preformed without any problems and generally have long toner life. The C5200 has been in service for about 5+ years and the C5500 about 1 year. Would buy again!

Better than Ink Jets
Pros: I have been using this printer for over a year and have not had any issues with it. The printing is clear and the colors are accurate. Don't let toner prices sway you away from this printer, if you compare the copy cost with ink jets you will find that you will spend a fraction of what ink jet cartridges cost. For most people, even in a small or home office, you will probably only need to buy one set of color cartridges and maybe two black over the life of the machine (just make sure you buy the high capacity ones for just a little bit more money). After that throw this printer away and buy a new one; the supply cost for the belt and immage drums will cost more than a new printer.
Cons: The toner cartridges that come with the printer are less than half full so they will not last very long. Mine lasted about 10 months and I expect the new high capacity ones to last well over two years, maybe three.
Other Thoughts: Has a built in network card so you have to install a new printer port on your computer using the IP address of the printer. I have never emptied an ink jet cartridge when I used to use them; they usually dried up before I could use all the ink; this makes a color laser even cheaper to operate than an ink jet. As another reviewer said, photo printing is not the best but I did not buy this printer for photo's. However, if you use laser photo paper and print in high quality mode the photo's will be very acceptable.

Outstanding, toner is expensive
Pros: Loaded with features you'd expect to see on a printer that's twice the price. Extremely fast color printing that's great for illustrations and diagrams. Built in, robust network management. No problems with vista so far.
Cons: Not the best at photo printing and would be costly. The price of the toner is my only complaint.
Other Thoughts: I use this printer to print off powerpoint presentations at 6 slides per page for med school and it does an outstanding job. As I said, this printer does very well printing illustrations and diagrams etc..

Great for the price
Pros: This printer is just an excellent bang for the buck. For a < 600 dollar unit, it's fast, has good image quality, and is so terribly simple to work with it's scary.
The nicest thing about this was just how simple it is to replace toner, image drums, fuser, and belt. They can all be replaced by one accessible panel.
Cons: The design of the manual feed is a little clunky. The handle you think opens it is actually for clearing paper jams.
It's a little bulky, probalby NOT a desktop printer but I was expecting that.
Photo printing is nothing to write home about, but it's great for professional presentations and the like.
Other Thoughts: The only reason this printer didn't get an Excellent is there is nothing that really wow'd me.
I've used Okidata printers for 15+ years now and I have never had a serious problem with them. GREAT DEAL!!!

very nice printer
Pros: i have own this printer since 4/18/06. it prints every day .
color printer is very good the gloss finish it put on the paper it nice . it work good for my small business .
for me it prints fliers , bills of sale , work orders , my twins art work ( i have 4 year old twins ) my wife her paper for her work, and the baby sitter stuff.
as for toner life it is very good. if you printer lager full color pages toner goes fast if it goes in 600 pages there some thing wrong ( you may ready need a very high end printer. for printing lables remember the dip print little it gets fuzzy print too lager it also gets fuzzy. get the right printer for the job you will be doing.
i also like the nic card in it so you do not have to let a system run to print.
Cons: if the power goes off the printer ip may change this is a easy fix. but at first it is a very big pain. now i wish for a larger paper tray ( it seems i am the only one that fills it up )
Other Thoughts: the only other thing i think about buying is a Duplex Unit for this printer ( this prints both side of your paper). if you print a lot of jobs where you would like to print on boths sides with out printing and doing the flip or use more paper. think of buying it also

Beautiful Prints - Pricey to maintain
Pros: The prints are gorgeous for color photos or flyers.I like how you can adjust the resolution from the print menu. Very easy to operate, toners are simple to load. Fast print time.
Cons: The toners do not go the distance. I get about 600 pages per color toner on average. At $80 each, this is far too pricey for a small business office. there is also the looming cost of having to buy a new set of print drums. Every color has its own drum, and at $90 each for drums and $80 each for toners - this one is probably one of the most expensive to run - I wish my Minolta didn't give up on me!
Other Thoughts: I see this one as a disposible printer. Once the print drums go, I will make the descision to either buy a new one or go to another manufacturer - probably the later, despite the lovely pints.

Not what I expected ...
Pros: Very fast printing, easy setup. Drivers for XP had to be used for Vista but still worked. Solid and professional looking, but that doesn't help the actual print quality.
Cons: Not what I expected for a printer in this price range. I was looking for a decent quality color laser for printing product labels (very small) and printing invoices/receipts, etc. I was quite disappointed with the color output from this printer, and even more so with the quality of the print. Small fonts (5-6pt) were fuzzy and had a very strong halftone pattern which made the text nearly unreadable. I have a 5-year-old inkjet at home that could produce the labels with no problems, and crystal clear text. The laser just couldn't do it no matter what settings. The color was bold and vibrant, but anything photo-like printed with an odd, unrealistic and, in my opinion, unacceptable quality. I realize it's a laser and not meant for photos, but I just thought laser had come a long way. I was wrong.
Other Thoughts: I really want to find a decent sub-$1000 laser to print labels on that will hold up to the elements. Laser was my first choice but I've always disliked laser printing and now I remember why; I returned it the next day.
