Pros: Good quality images, auto face tracking.
Cons: The latest TWAIN drivers that come on the CD are not compatible with the application we're using. Instead we are using older Quickcam 9.5 drivers.

Sweet camera!
Pros: Sweet camera. I took the advice of others and down loaded the newest drivers from the internet. The camera works perfect. The panning is quiet, although many say it's noisy. I love it. I can now communicate with my 2 sons who are in Iraq.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I leave the panning feature off because if you get up and leave the computer, the camera tends to pan to the brightest light in the room, and you have to manually put it back. Not a big deal.

Surprisingly not good..
Pros: Good picture quality.
Cons: Where to begin. Just being plugged in caused static when playing sounds on the speakers. Take the webcam out of the scenario, and the problem goes away. Microphone wouldn't work at all. Nothing but device/driver conflicts when this has been installed on a brand new desktop that has the latest drivers for all hardware. Going with another brand this time.

Nice webcam
Pros: Easy to use. Good picture quality. Good sound. Automatic software updates. Nice webcam overall.
Cons: Pricy, but worth it.
Other Thoughts: I bought two; both have performed well.

Best for the Money!
Pros: Smooth quiet operation. Very good picture. Easy to set up and use. Very fun and versatile. Video overlays in utility software are fun to use.
Cons: The execution of the included utility software seems to cause other software that might use the built in microphone (i.e. Skype, Battlefield 2) to be unable to use it. An easy work around is to execute the utility software only after another application that might use the microphone. There are other work arounds.
Other Thoughts: I am convinced that some people submit reviews who don't even own the product, just to trash the product to get some sort of counter marketing thrill out of it. The above reviewer who refers to clicking sounds like a toy is probably one such reviewer. I, my father and my neighbor all have the same camera and it is smooth quiet and pleasant.

Average Camera For a High Price
Pros: It looks sharp and has cool video effects.
Cons: Tracking is completely useless. Don't buy this product thinking it will keep its focus on you. This thing will lock on to any bright light source in the room and if you have a ceiling fan turned on forget it. This thing tracks any and everything that exists in the same room as it. Logitech's advertising on this product is deceiving. Beware!
Other Thoughts: I would have turned it back in for another cheaper camera but I was too lazy and it does do it's job as a normal camera. Just don't buy it for all the cool add-ons like I did. Face tracking is junk and picture quality is so-so. You can do better.

Webcam, Simply
Pros: I'm currently deployed in Iraq and use this camera with Skype to talk to my family back home. The picture is excellent, the included software is great, and the features are incredible. Even in low-lighting, it automatically focuses and changes it's brightness to even out the picture.
Cons: The camera is slightly expensive, but then again, you get what you pay for.
Also, the included software doesn't include all the "toys" amnd cool product features. You have to actually go to the Logitech site and download them... but, they ARE free.
Other Thoughts: I read some reviews about unsatisfied customers in security camera situations. This is NOT meant to be a security camera, clearly. It's meant for webcamming, simply. Notice that the design is sleek, not for being fixed to a wall or hidden. The auto-follow isn't very smooth, but again, it's clearly only meant to follow someone moving around a large desk, or a small room. It would be suitable for a business presentation and ideal for anyone who video conferences for long distance relationships. If you want a security camera, buy a security camera, not a high-def webcam.

Secuirty cam
Pros: pan and tilt work. extra 9" stand is really useful. the price i paid for it(1/3 normal price). Got it on sale at office depot
Cons: The pan and tilt isn't smooth at all. pretty jumpy. wish there was a way to use pan and tilt with security cam programs via IP.
Other Thoughts: use it to monitor my hallway to see who is walkin around my house. works well.

Great Camera....But....
Pros: Camera looks great. Interface no more irrational than Windows itself. Extention very handy for placing behind things. Manual pan and tilt control is VERY useful for lining up the picture that you want.
Cons: This camera's main selling feature is the motion tracking and it works OK in normal circumstances but only really works well if you move slowly and the area is VERY well lit.
Other Thoughts: Logitech product, so you know it will work. Would definately buy again if it were cheaper.

Awesome Webcam
Pros: Awesome Webcam! it's done nothing but good for me, great picture quality, great streaming quality, easy to install, compatible with every messenger i've used so far, looks nice with my black, silver, blue theme on my computer, zoom feature which is pretty good, full range of movement by the click of a mouse instead of having to reach up to your webcam and adjust it, lots of options to adjust the picture, up to 1.3 megapixel shot, about the equivalent of a motrola krzr k1m, face tracking feature enables so that you can move around a little bit and the camera will stay one your
Cons: looks kinds stupid when i't son the extension stick thingy, but that's not really a big issue
Other Thoughts: some people say that the streaming sucks on this webcam, maybe you should quit blaming it on the webcam and blame it on the messengers server, yahoo's server is oober slow, so it's really choppy and it's not that good of picture quality, however on aim, it's excellent b/c of the server, lots of adjustment options too so if u're picture looks all wierd, then either turn on a light or fix tha gamma correction, brightness, etc............. i did buy however from a different source, but it's the exact same model

Do not waste your money
Pros: Easy to install in WIndows XP. There is no other good thing I can say about it.
Cons: Bad image, The Right light 2 technology sucks. The face tracking feature doesn't work like is supposed to. I had a QuickCam Pro 400 and the image was better than this piece of junk.
Other Thoughts: I wished I would done more reasearch because this is one of the worst webcams I've seen. Stay away from this piece of junk.

You can do better
Pros: Fair image quality, though not as good as advertized in low light. Pan and tilt is handy, software interface is user-friendly.
Cons: Logitech's 9.x driver causes issues with XP, and the 10.x software degrades the image quality. Logitech does not readily tell you there are two versions of this cam. The early one supports RightLight, and the newer one supports RightLight 2. If you install QuickCam 10.x with the older cam, you simply lose all the settings associated with RightLight. Some settings, like Exposure and Gain, simply don't work, or only work on occasion. I was happier with my Pro4000.
Other Thoughts: If you buy this cam, make sure you get the version that supports RightLight2. Even still, you can probably do better for the money - it's a relatively expensive cam.

picture quality sucks
Pros: Zooming and panning with a mouse is quite nice and the face tracking isnt bad either. built in microphone is great.
Cons: Horrable stream image quality and so-so on stills. i found the cheaper Ezonics EZ-622 to have better stream/picture image quality then the mp. which is sad since its only like 0.35mp
Other Thoughts: love the features just dont know why they jipped us on the image quality it basicly looks like those cheap oem get one free webcam quality. Really grainy, blurry, dithery (is that a word?)

works great
Pros: Works great. Good image quality, fun and useful software, motor drive also useful.
Cons: Software stays running all the time, adds to system overhead. Motor drive is not smooth, moves in steps. Head/face tracking is very slow and doesn't keep up with even slow movements
Other Thoughts: Nice camera, just don't expect too much as it is still just a consumer product, not a professional solution.

Neat little webcam
Pros: Face tracking function, picture quality is acceptable, build quality is nice, comes with neat little features.
Cons: face tracking can be improved. I noticed if an object is brighter then your face(the reflection from your face) the webcam will want to track that object. If you have a slow PC try not to use the extra feature that came with the package eats up alot of sources. Also i bought 2 of these webcam at a time both of the installation CD that was in the package were bent so my cd-rom was having trouble reading them. Had to download software from web.

Pros: The camera automatically adjusts to different lighting, great zoom functions along with tilt with the camera on the motorized top.
Cons: Default settings yield a purplish color tint to the person on the cam, software that comes with the camera is an absolute nightmare (laggy, ram hog, irritating), face tracking feature may sound cool but is practically useless.
Other Thoughts: Honestly, there are a lot cheaper webcams out there thay yield better results. The main feature that caused me to buy this was the zoom/motorized top. Honestly, go with a cheaper model.

seems to work well for the price
Pros: Seems like others never had a old web cam that cost 1/2 the price. an had to watch a slide show on high band!If you got 64 bit XP why blame them cause you didnt read? Yes the faster your pc is the better it works as on any PC add on. It's still one of the best out.if u turn your speakers down some the echo may not be as bad. Or try truning your speakers away from the mic. Fact is still one of the best out for the price. You want hdtv go buy a 1500.00 buck vid cam and hook to your PC.
Cons: Lack of 64 bit so far,but you do know its coming soon!
Other Thoughts: Others blaming a pc that may need to be reformated as seen on alot of PC parts being blamed bad. Also any web cam needs lite, DUH

Works great for Video Conferencing between Mac/PC
Pros: image quality is terrific and the augmented reality (as seen on youtube is pretty cool). It works seemlessly with aim or sightspeed so my brother on his pc can connect with me on my mac (im using an isight)
Cons: the face tracking can be kinda wierd - it sometimes doesnt always follow you but thats rare - no real major cons!
Other Thoughts: its worth every penny. It is expensive but in all honesty, like alcohol and cars, you get what you pay for especially with consumer products. If you are looking for a webcam that has great image quality, and is fun to play around with - this is for you!

Worked great with Polycom PVX
Pros: Works great with Polycom PVX video conferencing software
Cons: No on-off switch to manually turn off the camera. Requires a fairly high-speed CPU to use with PVX.
Other Thoughts: Purchased this camera to replace the Polycom ViaVideo camera setup. Orbit MP works much faster than ViaVideo, but the PC is a P4 2.8GHz with 1GB RAM so any off-loading processing is handled by the PC (whereas the ViaVideo does its initial processing on the camera).

Disgusting Software
Pros: Looks great, hardware is top notch could be capable of great video and image quality. With third party applications it actually is (forgot the name of the software we use at work, sorry)
Cons: This junk software reduces the capabilities of the hardware to that of any other current generation logitech webcam. Thats right, go for the 4000, 5000, Quickcam or ANY other current model. The video quality is simply sub par due to the driver and software package. Use of the animations, or effects included in the logitech suite will turn your video stream completely choppy and "blued" I am completely disappointed. My girlfriends three year old camera paces mine..
Other Thoughts: Just for the curious I'm running a: Opteron 148 Sapphire x800xl ult. 512 MSI Neo 4 plat. 4GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 1.2TB SATA-II (400x3) +80 usb2 external Windows MCE 2005

Logitech Does It Again
Pros: Removable stand, Sleek look, Picture quality is higher than most webcams, Impressive features.
Cons: The face-tracking often gets sidetracked by bright lights, No X64 drivers, Buggy drivers (find the drivers online, the disc driver's didn't work properly when I bought it), Price.
Other Thoughts: I wish the face-tracking was a little better but you can always disable that and use the arrows that pop up when the cam is in use. Overall another good webcam from Logitech but a bit pricy.

Pros: Picture quality isn't bad, isn't great either. Will be more detailed below. Low light situations can be adjusted to work very well.
Cons: Face tracking? forget about it. Colors are washed out a little bit.
Other Thoughts: My main problem is that the depth of colors seem bland, you can manually adjust everything, but still, colors aren't very vivid. Resolution is decent, speed is good... however, I must say that my last webcam was the Kodak's 325DVC? which was known for very rich colors.
I would think twice if you're primary concern is picture quality. I have a real problem with the colors. But resolution, speed, ease of use, awesome.

Pros: Decent resolution, nice features
Cons: Native Brightness/Contrast sucks, native saturation sucks
Other Thoughts: It's not as good as people make it sound. The tracking feature, i'd give it a B-. In terms of picture quality, there are better webcams out there providing more accurate reproduction. The features are very rich though, and sits well cosmetically at your desk.
Overall impression: too expensive for end-results.

Amazing, simply amazing.
Comments: This product is simply amazing! The video quality runs circles around my old webcam. This is one of those few products that actually looks, feels, and functions like its price implies.
My girlfriend was so impressed that she's considering getting one herself.
The face tracking is great, although the auto-zoom can get rather annoying (but is easy to disable)
The feature to add hats and different eyes and such works excelently, Although the feature to map a animated character to your face is alittle off sometimes, I blame this mostly on my glasses though, it has trouble seeing through them to map my eyes. But then, why would you want people to see an animated face instead of your own?
The video quality itself is just astounding, it's so crisp and clear and the colours are realistic, on my old webcam my head always looked an odd shade of red. On the orbit mp I look like I do in the mirror, it's great. Also the framerate is incredible aswell, I can't move fast and make the camera miss things. and with the motorized pan/tilt and face tracking the camera will actually follow me around the room like a well trained pup ;p
So um to summerize, This camera is amazing and wonderful, Newegg has it the cheapest I've seen. If you want to be awestruck by your webcam, get this product.
