Not bad
Pros: They worked.
Cons: clunky setup but once their setup seemed to be very responsive.
Other Thoughts: We returned these cameras because the image quality didn't meet our project requirements. If you just want to monitor a location, they work well. Even could be used in simple conference situations. Video and audio works as it is designed. Much better if you use the D View software from website.

Not compatible with other CS-mount lenses
Pros: Easy set up, software is near professional quality with few glitches, load on CPU is low, cameras are durable when used indoors, video quality is decent for the money. Motion detect works well and audio (in) is effective enough for general surveillance purposes.
Cons: CS-mount lenses that I purchased for this camera do not work but they work fine in the older CMOS version -- the DCS 2100+. The 3220 manual says any CS Mount lens should work. Contacted DLink technical support and they refused to recommend a wide angle lens. Contacted government sales and they asked Dlink product engineering. No recommendation either. If you can live with the fixed 8 mm lens that comes with the camera, then this may be a good purchase. If you need a wide angle, consider another brand like Axis.
Other Thoughts: Recommend using a UPS with each camera installation. Camera can be sensitive to voltage surges and outages. The DLink PoE module works well with this model.

DCS-3220
Pros: very good picture, even respectable in low light. the Dlink interface is so-so, others may be better but once you get the hang of dlink interface this will be no prob. I do like the replacable lens, have a 6-15mm zoom on it, allows perfect adjustment to desired viewing area.
Cons: mic audio is lousy as others have stated. If you want to talk real time 2way it's poor but acceptable, if you just want to hear what's going on in the monitored area then it's fine.
Other Thoughts: I have several of the Dlink PTZ cameras and some Trendnet cameras. For the $$ this camera gives great picture and seems reliable. The Dlink IPsurvelience s/w is ok, works well with this camera. Beware that NOT ALL Dlink cameras work with IPsurvelience, so check out your camera models before mixing/matching.

So far so good
Pros: Easy to set up if you have some experience with IP numbers and setting ports, good video quality for price, lots of features
Cons: Surveillance software hasn't been easy to set up for me, needing to spend more time than expected, more complicated than the version that comes with other dlink cams.
Other Thoughts: Does not work with straight POE, you can use a dlink POE adapter and use ethernet cable between the base and terminal units, but from there you must use the terminal unit's power cable to the camera's power jack.

Works Great
Pros: Worked great out of the box. Had very little trouble setting up the camera and to have it connect to the IP Surveillance Software. There is a newer version on D-Links website (3.1.0.0) Contains a lot of bug fixes and stability issues.
Like I said before the camera works great. I am currently using 4 of these in a medium business environment. During the day the picture quality is actually really decent. At night time though if you don't leave a small light on or anything that illuminates you have a hard time seeing anything that recorded. Just leave a small lamp on or something and night time recording is perfect.
I never tried the wireless configuration at all. So I have no insight on that part, I just hardwired everything cause it gave me something to do =) I did however use Power over Ethernet though, this makes camera placement limitless. I used D-Links P-200 adapters and standard cat5e that I made myself.
Cons: So far after 6 months of operating 4 cameras, including the software I would have to say nothing negative. The older version of the software that actually comes with the package is still kinda unstable and a bit CPU intensive. To fix this though, just download the latest IP Monitor software from D-Links site.
Other Thoughts: It's a great deal for the price and software you get. The software does hold up to 16 cameras and no licenses are required.
Once again everything shipped incredibly fast, and as always, Newegg rocks!

Nice cameras
Pros: - Easy to install. - Power Over Ethernet compatible - Sends emails when a motion is detected. - Adjustable frame for the motion detection, and sensitivity settings. - Recording 24/7 in loop - Monitor different sites from anywhere - You can export the video to AVI.
Cons: - wish it was infrared for night vision. - I had to get my ISP to enable smarthost email for the camera to send motion detection email alerts - The video surveillance software denies my password every 3 or 4 months and I have to uninstall and reinstall the program and redo all the settings. (that is the worst con for me)
Other Thoughts: I bought 5 of these cams last year with the POE adapter. I am going to buy 3 more. They work great. The email alert does work sending 3 pics of what triggered the event per email. I monitor our office on the intranet, and also a remote office over the internet. The recording in loop is great and depending of the video quality and a 250 gb drive, I have between 2 to 5 weeks of video archive per camera using 5 cameras. Overall it is a good product, I just wish the cost was lower and the night vision better. Other than that, I love it.

poor sound
Pros: decent price compared to other cameras. Not as 'buggy' as some other dlink cameras (dcs 900 specifically. this one is bad. do not buy).
Cons: the two way audio between to cameras is poor at best. May as well not even have it. Cannot add external microphone like you can on many other cameras.
Other Thoughts: this is a decent camera for video. the audio is about worthless. I bought three of these. one requires rebooting at least once a week. Dlink tech support is worthless. I emailed about problem, got cut and paste answers from website FAQ that didn't even apply to problem.

Nice Camera
Pros: Great picture, and sound pickup. Easy to setup, DVR survielance software was a nice surprise.
Cons: Needs to have an option for a wide anlge lense. It might take one, but documentation is scarce for what lenses might work with it. Must know some html if you want to use a custom web page to view only the picture instead of the D-link web page built into the camera. DVR software on disk was outdated and didn't work. Once I installed the new verson from the web site, it worked and was very nice.

Not Versatile for an IP camera, Corrupted Images
Pros: Good Video and Audio
Cons: IP cameras in general have bad software and for an IP camera this one is highly proprietary.
Sending images via e-mail on motion alert was hit and miss as the images were partially tranmitted resulting in only 20% of the picture being sent as an e-mail attachment.
Couldn't even get FTP to work. And when I called D-LInk support, they had very few people knowledgeable about these cameras.
This Webcam only works in IE and not Firefox or a Mac. So not really, or truly, the versatility it should deliver from day one. I also think it needs a ActiveX plugin on IE to work.
Other Thoughts: Hardware seems there for IP cameras. Software and "plays well with others" is a long way off.
IP cameras should work with other webcam software just like its name says, IP, "Internet Protocol"
I am returning this camera as it doesn't work with other software like you would think it should considering it's an IP camera.

Works Great
Pros: Monitors a gate so the office can open it if a vehicle comes by to drop off a shipment or passengers at a local airport. Bought with the DCS-60 outdoor enclosure with the heater and blower built in. Was very easy to setup on the network and to setup users to access it. Image quality is better than expected.
Cons: Digital zoom works but at full 4x digital zoom you couldn't make out what you are looking at.
Other Thoughts: Great for the price!
