Good server for the cost
Pros: It worked -- after I figured out what I was doing wrong! Easily configurable... Fair WebUI.
Cons: Some MFP's won't allow scanning. What do you expect from a networked.
Other Thoughts: It's small! Easily mountable on wall etc.

Pros: Finally got a print server that works! Had tried several others with poor results. Havethis hooked to parallel and usb printers - no problem.
Cons: Had a few minor problems with original hook up but went back over the set-up and found my mistakes.

Worst print server EVER
Pros: It didnt blow up and kill me.
Cons: It stops working when it feels like it. When you hook up more than one printer it fails(It is supposed to be able to support 3 printers, 2 usb and 1 parallel port). D-link technical support is very very bad. They wanted me to go through the same trouble shooting garbage with them that I had already done.
Other Thoughts: Their technical support is awful, I spent an hour on the phone with them until I quit and just said I would buy a linksys. The technical support agent said "okay sir, you go do that. Have a good night."

Update
Pros: D-Link has “finally” released firmware revision 2 for this thing (4/19/2006). It now supports WPA and not just WEP. I don’t understand the bad reviews for this product. Short of the WPA thing it has performed exactly as you would expect. I started out using just the parallel and 1 USB port. I’m now just using both USB ports. It has never had an issue to speak of. I love it and will be purchasing another soon for a friend.
Cons: Slow to release new firmware but as of 4/19/2006 that is no longer an issue anyway.
Other Thoughts: I've always used HP printers so I suppose people could be having issues with other brand printers. ...but then again why would you not buy an HP? =P

broke in three months
Pros: it works when it did.
Cons: Broke after three months. Took hours to get a RMA from D-Link, then the substitute has not arrived after more than two weeks of promised shipping date, even though they received my return long time ago.
Other Thoughts: Also, bad documentation, which was the subject of my previous review.

Great multi-port server; terrible documentation
Pros: Pros: Multiple printers on one server, reviews make up for manual shortcomings, parallel printer support
Cons: Documentation will not work for multiple printers, no WPA support (couldn’t find a server that did support WPA)
Overall, the manuals weren’t great, but I was able to get the server up and running via wires in about 20 minutes. I had to reconfigure the IP address on the print server to match my gateway. I was accessing the configuration page via a wireless laptop with the server plugged in. When I plugged an Ethernet cable into my laptop, the load time on the server’s configuration pages decreased significantly (which is what slowed me down)! It was much easier to configure with both the server and the laptop wired. Had I done this from the start, configuration would probably take only 10 minutes.
Cons: Multi-function printers. It is possible to get basic print service with a MFC printer, just don’t expect to be able to do any of the other services (scan and stuff). I ran an extra 15’ USB wire to the back of the printer to make it easy to use the rest of the functions when needed. Just unplug the server and plug in the USB cable. If you have the other end of the USB cable plugged into a hub or the computer, this makes it easy.
Port names. This is where the manual lets you down. At the end of the manual, the documentation gives you the idea to add another printer using the exact same procedure used to install the first printer. This is not true. Each printer uses the same port number (such as 192.168.1.10), but each printer needs a different port name. I made the names of the ports make sense with the printer they served. If you don’t have different port names, then the computer doesn’t know which port name to send the jobs to for printing.
Wireless connection. The
Other Thoughts: won’t stay on while plugged in via Ethernet. After configuring any WEP security, save the changes and simply unplug the Ethernet cable. If the WLAN light doesn’t come on in about a minute, then something about the wireless connection isn’t setup correctly. Plug the server back in to the Ethernet and try again. Oh, this server does not support WPA security. I found this out before my purchase, but decided to go with it anyway. I couldn’t find a server that did support WPA and this was the best fit with the best reviews for what I needed.
Check printer compatibility. Go to the D-Link website and check whether or not your printer is compatible. My HP Laserjet was on their list, but my Brother MFC was not. I found one Brother printer on their list, which made me feel comfortable at least giving it a try. The Brother MFC works for basic printing. After setting up an additional port for my HP Laserjet 4P, it worked fine as well.
IP configuration. The manual doesn’t cove

DP-G321 Print Server - Great So Far
Pros: Wireless and cable capable. So you can get the print server working cabled to the router, and then set-up the wireless.
Easy to set-up. Despite some comments in other reviews about the set-up documentation being wrong, there were a few painful spots but overall it made sense and all worked.
Using both USB and parallel reports with Epson, HP and Brother printers. Two are not listed in the compatibility notes, so I gave it a go and it works fine.
Helpline was available and very helpful. As always it was my stupidity that I caused the problem.
Cons: Dlink can do a better job in its documentation to hand hold average people like myself. Overall, the set-up was quick and easy, but struggled with setting up my encryption but with some great support on the d-link helpline all was sorted.
Other Thoughts: Advise that you set-up one printer first with the print server cabled. Once you have been through the set-up once, it becomes clear how to add additional printers.

good printer server, but terrible installation guide
Pros: The printer server does work after it has been successfully set up and I am satisfied with his performance. But if you are setting up multiple printers, the Installation Guide is absolutely terrible. Actually, I don't think that the word "terrible" is a strong enough word, because it suggests something that is merely inadequate or unclear. It is much worse than that. If you are installing multiple printers, the installation guide has key information that is flat wrong and misleading, rather than being just unclear. For just a single printer installation, the instructions are pretty clear. I was able to successfully install the first printer in about 10 minutes with no frustration whatsoever. But major problem occurs with the second printer. The problem has to do with the different concepts of "port name" and "printer name or IP address". The instructions tells you, correctly, to enter the IP address of the printer server for the "port name". But it says nothing about (continued below
Cons: "printer name or IP address". If you are installing just a single printer, you will not have a problem because the printer name or IP address is automatically generated once you enter the "port name". But this will cause an outright failure for the second printer. The reason is very simple, because the printer server has a unique IP address, it will also automatically generate an identical entry for the field "printer name or IP address" for every printer you try to install. This will cause an error with a message "the port already exists" when you install the second or any subsequent printer. As it turned out,In order to install multiple printers, you must do the following: For all printers, after you have entered the printer server IP address in the "port name", immediately delete the automatically generated entry in the field "printer name or IP address", and fill in the Printer Name for the respective printer which you can get from the Web interface of the printer server.
Other Thoughts: You will notice that although the printer server has a single unique IP address, each printer has its own printer name. This way, a unique port may be created for each printer. This may sound simple. But how would anyone know? The installation guide is worse than being inadequate. It is inevitably misleading for multiple printer installation because it simply tells you to repeat the same thing for the second printer. And of course it would not work. I could not figured out by myself, although I consider myself to be quite knowledgeable. The above knowledge is a result of my spending over one hour on the phone with a technical support personnel, who is at least very patient but not very efficient in that he didn't recognize the problem immediately. That is surprising, because the way it is, I would think everyone who has ever tried to install multiple printers on this printer server will inevitably have the same problem, unless of course the person already knew the answer.

Pros: Very customizable and web interface easy to use. Works well.
Cons: Only compatible with certain printers, thus not working with my lexm@rk printer. If you intend to buy this, check compatibility with your printer(s) you are going to connect.
Other Thoughts: Ive been with NewEgg a long time and have enjoyed their flawless service very much, but returning this item was not a fun process.

Works Great
Pros: Easy to install and set up. Had slight difficulty in that the printer I have (Samsung 2010) laser does not print in DOS mode, therefore the print test in the server setup will not function as a test of compatabiliy. The print test from the printer properties in the control panel worked prefectly.
Cons: Called Tech support with some initial problems. And when the print test from the menu in the setup up did not function, tech support said then this printer was not compatible..wrong answer!!! It IS compatible, it just does not have DOS printing capability...frankly, a dos printing check in todays networking environment is rather lame. The tech support people should be a little more informed about windows only printers.
Other Thoughts: All in all, a good product and I am pleased with it overall. The complaints I have seen about not working with Multifunction devices are off base. Very few, if any aftermarket print servers offer this function.

Seems nice
Pros: It is very functional, with the LPT and USB ports you could theoratically control 3 printers wirelessly.
Cons: Did not work with my KonicaMinolta magicolor 2400W. Believe me, I tried.

Work with Samsung CLP-550
Pros: I use cable ethernet. It's very easy to setup. And it works with Samsung CLP-550 although it is not officially tested. Adding printer for windows box is easy too.
Cons: Manual is lacking for Mac and Linux. I have not been able to print from tiger.

No Problems Here
Pros: Took less than 5 minutes to set up on our network. Installed flawlessly. Followed instructions and had it printing. Was so easy it changed the mind of an IT consultant here at the time that had only been using jet direct (100's of times)
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Can't get any easier...

Not compatible with multi-finction printers
Comments: Not compatible with HP Photosmart PSC-1350 and all other multifunction printers (print, copy, scan)- as told by DLink support when I tried to figure out why I couldn't get it to work with my printer.

Comments: Fast delivery. Had it running pretty quickly with a new router in the mix as well. Works very well with my hp large format plotter and epson inkjet. Very fast. The plotter actually seems faster on the wireless server than it did right out of my computer's serial port.

Great performance
Comments: Works great, has two USB ports & a parallel connection, can connect to your network via a wired lan cable, or wireless g or b. Is the most flexible of any low cost print server on the market that I could find. The reason I gave it a 4 is because of the setup. I configured as an IP address on my network, but when I entered my network name (MSHOME) in the setup, the server would no longer print. I finally figured out this needed to be blank, or set to a name that DID NOT match the name of my network. Works great now.

Manual IS NOT HELPFUL
Comments: I am VERY knowledgable about setting up networks but this one took a bit of time. Manual only describes how to get the PrintServer working WITH WIRES!!
After failing to get the print server wireless for a day using the included instructions (setting up wired was a snap but why would you buy it for wired setup?), I decided to look up other ways to set up this printer prior to calling tech support. The Linksys products seem to have the same problems, and so I found my answer on those sites. So this is how I finally did it... I'm Using with D-link Router DI-624- Printers are Canon i950, HP 1350 all-in-one:Both are USB. the biggest problem getting this print server wireless was that the D-link router AND the PrintServer use the IP address 192.168.0.10. I configured the router to 192.168.0.2 first, then I changed the computer IP address to 192.168.0.15. Now you can wire it to the print server. This is the only way to get onto the Print Server IP 192.168.0.10 Then I manually configured the IP of the print server to 192.168.0.11, added the PrintServer to the wireless network, saved all changes, and then changed my computer back to Obtain IP Address automatically. Your Print server should be on the WLAN at this point. Pull the ethernet cable and you should be able to connect to the Printserver on the IP Address you manually configured. Then you can configure your printer. I have left my router alone with the new IP address since everything is running smoothly at this time. One thing I didn't remember though, You can't use the Scan function of your all-in-one printers! Arrgh! Ordered on MONDAY at 2PM, Came Wednesday Morning (Stockton,CA). WOW! Newegg ROCKS!!

Comments: Does not support WPA encryption, so I can't use this on my network. This is surprising since other D-Link products do support WPA.
NewEgg refunded my money (minus 15% restocking fee), which I thought was fair since I didn't dig deep enough into product documentation to find out its about encryption support.

BE AWARE!!!
Comments: BEFORE YOU BUY!!!
make sure your printer is compatible with this print server. DO NOT make the assumption that just because your printer is USB that it will work. i have a Minolta-QMS laser printer USB - did not work. before i buy, i do research on the product. however, i didn't go deep enough this time. there's no warnings on the manufacturers website indicating that your printer might not compatible. in fact, all it says is that it works with USB 1.1 and 2.0, leaving the consumer to assume that since his/her printer is USB, it will work (or maybe i'm just an idiot for not checking further). you have to dig through some docs to find the FAQ listing the 'tested' printers - ones they know work.
so, while there's a good chance your printer will be okay if it's a Canon or HP or Lexmark, something like that, bear in mind that it might not. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST!!
however, the product itself was very good - easy to set up on my network and easy to use. my computers were able to recognize the print server with no hassle. thus the 3 eggs. the product itself is not bad, *as long as it will work with your printer*
and of course, awesome shipping. thanks, Newegg!!
