GREAT PEICE OF TECHNOLOGY
Pros: many to list, fast fast fast, once modded vista is at its prime!!!games are awesome, the integrated camera with acers software is obsolete. some of the software i deleted but hey a little extra baggage is never a problem!
Cons: 32bit os instead of 64bit... but this thing is still fast!
Other Thoughts: the portability of this thing is awesome... the attention you get with it is just like you actually have the car.. the performance is better then most desktops. even mine own. doenst have the rubber keyboard like the 5000... but its still a nice layout.

Not All It is Cracked Up to Be
Pros: Good looks, very full feature set, cool PCMCIA VOIP handset/speakerphone (if you can get it to work)
Cons: Bogged down by OEM Acer software that may have been OK for XP machines but conflict with or limit features of Vista Ultimate; Acer factory specs show max RAM of 4 GB, but OS will not recognize more than 2.3 GB even if BIOS sees 4 GB, so purchasing more memory than factory installed 2 GB is a big waste of money; confusing & contradictory Acer & Windows s/w problematic
Other Thoughts: If I were buying this machine again, I would definitely go for the XP version. Not only is it several hundred dollars cheaper, all of the claimed features of the machine might actually work, and the Acer s/w might be helpful instead of a conflicting mess with Vista Ultimate; poor (but expected) battery life
