Good Speakers
Pros: Exceptional build quality. Clear highs and lows. The front panel input, volume knob, and Bass/Treble controls are very handy. The front input jack does not disable the rear however, which can be nice, so you can leave two devices hooked up at the same time.
Cons: A little pricey.
The LED is indeed bright. I cut off a corner of the sticky part of a post-it note, and place it over the led, making it "normal" brightness.
I'm not sure how much adjusting the Bass knob affects the speakers, however, with headphones plugged in, it makes a huge difference.
Other Thoughts: I purchased these because I wanted a relatively compact set of speakers for college that would afford good audio quality for video games and music (classical). As someone who loves highs, these are nice. They sound much warmer than my old set of speakers. If you are obsessed with Bass, these probably aren't for you, if you enjoy all parts of the spectrum, these are an excellent choice.

creative gigaworks t20 28 w 2.0 speaker
Pros: it works, but always has on occasion static
Cons: I mailed in rebate like I was supposed to and they had told me I didn't send all the reguired info. I also know someone else who bought a different model and it caught on fire. under normal use. I could easily recomend Altec Lansing as I have a pair and beleive their far better.

Nice
Pros: Nice design, high quality, good sound.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: For their size and volume these are as well made and sounding as mid-end Infinity Home Stereo. So long as all you want is low-mid range volume, good acoustic controls. LED a bit bright, but who cares, Lets you know to turn it off after shutting pc down.

Great Sound!
Pros: Owned these now nearly a year, and the sound is clear and crisp. Front ports are great for plugging in mp3 player. Music stored on my system easily fills the room. Does exactly what I intended them for!
Cons: As everyone has said, find a way to cover the LED.
Other Thoughts: At first, I had these plugged into my NEC TV/Monitor WMGX2 as I was using my computer monitor as a TV (great little monitor, horrible speaker). Plugging these in caused a constant hum which was worse. I wanted a docking station for my laptop (HP) and once I plugged it all in, the humming and static disappeared. I've been careful to lower the volume when I plug in any external device directly, and these speakers have lived up to expectations. I do still hear a pop when the system is rebooting, but have had no other issues.

Great sounding 2.0 system with problems...
Pros: Sound awesome for a 2.0 system! Fairly easy to travel with and pack away. Got lots of comments on how great they sound. Great for classical music!
Cons: Has issues with static, just like everyone else. Bulky wall-wart power adapter
Other Thoughts: I've had this system for awhile; sounds great! but the static issues that have been mentioned before kill this thing fairly quick. I cannot change the volume on these things without a very loud crackling noise emitting from them; making everyone in the room jump. Unacceptable for such pricey 2.0 speakers.

Pros: Good sound without the bulky subwoofer. Simple, intuitive, sturdy and accessible controls. Good cord arrangement. Plenty of power for my needs, which does not include house parties.
Cons: Sound a little hollow and cold. Putting the holes on top without any mesh is just a bad idea!
Other Thoughts: I got these basically to get rid of the bulky/ugly subwoofer in my 2.1 system. The sound quality on these is better than my 2.1 system. First thing I did was put on some Vivaldi - the violins were crystal clear, right down to the scratch of the bow on the strings! Rock on! Other music with more bass does sound a little hollow, though, especially if I am standing up near the speakers (evidently from the holes in the top).

Good but worrisome
Pros: Good sound without the bulk of a subwoofer, nice styling, has bass/treble knobs, has headphone jack and aux in on the front.
Cons: Intermittent issues with loud static as mentioned by some others, which is very troubling. When it happens they are not usable anymore. For me, the problem comes and goes. The static is a MAJOR concern; all the other issues are trivial by comparison. They are somewhat narrow and can be knocked down somewhat easily. Headphone volume is not matched well with non-headphone volume. And of course, the LED power light is the brightest light source in the universe.
Other Thoughts: I would be a big fan of these speakers if it were not for the static issue. Given how many others have experienced this, I would not recommend these speakers to others.

Pros: I purchased these speakers at a brick and mortar after an accident left my 2.1 Logitechs unusable. I am very satisfied with the sound, these speakers actually sound better than the 2.1 system I paid about $30 more for. I like not having a separate sub/amp sitting on the floor taking up space next to the computer, also less wiring for me to hide. I'm not an audiophile, for me these speakers are worth the money, sound great. If you don't need surround sound these speakers are the way to go.
Cons: Like nearly everyone else mentioned, the blue power LED is way to bright. You will want to stick something in front of it to block the light, color it with a marker, put tape over it or something. Not something that would keep me from buying these speakers though.
Other Thoughts: Comes with an adapter to plug in RCA cables, as well as a cable to plug devices in through the front accessory jack.

Great speakers at a great price
Pros: Great sound, small footprint, good bass response, aux input, headphones jack
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: These are all around good speakers. I like that they have good bass response without the bulk and extra cables of a separate subwoofer. They don't take up too much space on my desk, and I can feed both my desktop computer's audio and an auxiliary source like my iPhone or laptop into the auxiliary input at the same time without having to crawl around under my desk to switch cables.

WORTH THE MONEY
Pros: I gave 5* cause the sound is AMAZING. A very high quality even on MAX Volume. Also if you put all the bass the sound does not get cracked
Cons: The headphone jack is so low the output volume
Other Thoughts: Buy this if you want to get a great sound quality to your PC or Mac. Satisfied !

Right channel failed then speakers failed
Pros: Sounded great when they worked and high build quality/styling made them a really nice addition to a desktop setup. Also a solid amount of power and loudness w/ a nice bit of clarity... overall if these had kept working I would have been really happy.
Cons: Within the first 2 weeks the right channel started flaking out, so you had to rotate/play with the connector in the back to get sounds to work again... the type of thing you used to do with desktop speakers 10 years ago. Anyway, after 2 months both speakers completely died... dead as a doornail. I read a few other reviews here that had identical problems. Unfortunately these like to die well outside the return period, looks like a QA issue over at Creative.
Other Thoughts: Really too bad these didn't survive... I liked them up until they broke.

Right Channel of "Line In" Failed on Arrival!
Pros: Sound Quality is nice.
Cons: Right Channel of "Line In" Failed on Arrival ! Totally silent on Right Channel, incluing front headset output! However, I could use the front "AUX IN", both channel works.
Other Thoughts: very disappointed

Incredibly clear
Pros: Excellent tonal quality. The sound fully envelopes the listener with crystal clear highs, spacious mids, and rich bass. The bass and treble controls are very responsive, do not interfere with each other, and can both boost and dampen frequencies.
Cons: When not directly in front of the speakers the sound is a little thin and the bass does not carry throughout the room. Also, the blue power LED is excessively bright and obnoxious.
Other Thoughts: I'm "downgrading" to these after 5 years with a more expensive Klipsch 2.1 system. Aside from the obvious difference in bass volume coming from a much more powerful 2.1 system, the sound quality of these is far superior. If you don't need wall shaking bass, these are just about the best tone you can find in a 2.0 system.

Exceptional
Pros: Most of the time, I feel discouraged to connect my TOSLINK cable to my sound system when I listen the GigaWorks T20. I use the Realtek HD Audio Control software that comes with the Platinum MSI K7A2 motherboard. These speakers output an exceptional good sound!
Cons: They are kind of little big next to a 22 LCD monitor. The blue led light is a flash light.
Other Thoughts: After 5 weeks, I am still waiting for my rebate. The build quality is excellent no regrets on that!

Amazing
Pros: The sound from these speakers is incredible! My friends keep looking around for the sub and can't believe these little things put out the sound. They're great for gaming and listening to pretty much any kind of music.
Cons: They are slightly unstable and there is the obnoxious power LED that has been mentioned by many others. Some tape fixes that.
Other Thoughts: worth the money for sure.

Great speakers
Pros: Great sound and really decent bass from a 2.0 setup. I bought these speakers over a year ago when they first came out for over $100, hell it was way longer than a year but I don't remember the exact date. These things sound amazing for the price.
Cons: Like other reviewers have said that brightasfuck blue light is annoyingly bright! The first thing you need to do when you get these is cover that LED up with black electrical tape.
Other Thoughts: I used these at first as auxiliary speakers for my HDTV and then moved them to my PC once I bought a decent home theater system for the living room. You heard that right, these things performed adequately as living room speakers for a television and Xbox 360 gaming. They were 20 times better than my Samsung LCDs built in speakers and they still rock in my bedroom. Buy them now!

Excellent 2.0 system
Pros: After my cumbersome logitech z-680 broke for good, I decided to go small on the speaker system. I mainly use speakers to play MMORPG games and Music, and the Creative T20 delivers in both aspects. I compared this and the Bose Companion 2 in the store. This thing totally blew bose away. With individual Bass and treble control for internal amp, the T20 delivers crystal clear Mid and Highs very accurately. The Xbassport is quite useful in deliver just enough bass. Craftsmanship is excellent (compare to low to mid end logitech speakers which were all made cheaply) This thing is best suited for a dorm room or medium sized working space. You won't be disappointed.
Cons: The only part that this speaker falls short is earthshaking bass... if you are up for that earthshaking bass, get a logitech z-2300...
The T40 have 2 mid range dome, it sounded exactly same as T20 when I tested it in store, so it's not worth the money.
Other Thoughts: It comes with some extras like mini headphone jack and a RCA to headphone jack for connecting a lot of MP3s and other equipments. I wish I got it at newegg for $35 cheaper than what I paid... (I paid $99+ Tax in store)

Best 2.0 Speakers I've Owned
Pros: Originally purchased these as mobile speakers for my laptop. They performed so well that I now use them on my desktop system. I've had these speakers a little over a year and haven't had any problems whatsoever with them like the other reviews - no whines, no static, crystal clear sound, easy to tweak. Nice highs, good lows - all from 2.0 speakers.
Cons: The LED is really bright, I have to keep something infront of it even when it's daylight out (or get electrical tape). At night it's a notch above annoyingly bright - make sure you cover it.

defective at the start
Pros: good sound, easy set up cables are a good length if your conputer is on your right side, not so good if your computer is on the left
Cons: I ordered two units, one of the home and one for work. Upon unboxing, one of the units has a high-pitched whine and picks up one of the local radio stations - clearly defective compared to the other unit.

Awesome Apartment
Pros: Excellent quality for 2.0. Extra control over the bass and treble built onto the front of speaker. Packaging was excellent.
Cons: Not a problem with speakers. UPS tried their best to destroy them but the packaging from Creative Labs was better than the UPS demolition squad.
Other Thoughts: These work great in my apartment. Hooking up a splitter at the source allowed me to run a long audio cable to the other side of apartment. Now I can listen at a considerate volume and not have to stay in one location. My neighbors are undisturbed.

Sounded great, for 17 months
Pros: Like the design, like the sound
Cons: After 17 months, all the sudden the left speaker is producing loud static even with the computer's sound input disconnected. Torn whether to order another pair or change to something different.

Great computer speakers!!!
Pros: If you have any idea how a pair of speakers should sound, this is it.
They sound like they would cost a whole lot more. Sitting in front of the computer with these playing is a pleasure, not harsh and colored like alot of others.
You do not need a sub to get the lower frequencies. Its not like you need a thousand watts two feet in front of you. If you do, buy something else.
Accurate sound reproduction without tweaking.
I really like these. If you are picky about sound quality, buy em!!!
Cons: Yes, the light is bright. Black tape works.
Other Thoughts: Had to buy a pair for my other computer.

Left channel noise out of the box
Pros: Sounded great when first turned on. Have a pair of older promedias as well, but wanted something new.
Cons: Developed the infamous left speaker static after an hour or so of use. Did some troubleshooting and noticed that the noise is present with the speakers off through the headphone port. Even moved the power to an isolated source (UPS) and noticed the same problem. This shows that the design is flawed. Bad move on Creative's part for releasing a product with such an obvious design flaw. What is this, six sigma process at its finest?
Other Thoughts: Too bad, speakers were awesome while they worked properly. I definately would have kept them otherwise.

Good quality speakers
Pros: Good quality sound... Seperate adjustments for Bass and Treble is a definate plus... Headphone jack also a plus...
Cons: Only 2 things I can think of... They are narrow and a little top heavy, which makes them kind of easy to tip over... The other is the extremly bright power LED
Other Thoughts: I do not experience a whine as others have mentioned... Concerning the speaker wires (someone refered to them as "hair thin" ), it's standard speaker wire... If your looking for Monster Cables, you should be checking in the $300+ range... As for the power supply being external and "cumbersome", Any speakers you get is going to have an external power source and it's far from being "cumbersome".. Cord is plenty long and the transformer is not that big...

Creative certainely did not put their thinking caps on for this one.
Pros: Looks good. Sounds ok*.
*If you don't notice the high pitch squeal.
Cons: Poor design of the speaker case itself makes it inherently unstable and prone to wobble. Blue light on front of right speaker is bright enough to light a table area. Included audio cables are hair thin. Power supply is external and cumbersome. The largest problem with these speakers is that the vast majority of units sold emit a rather high pitch whine at any volume but not through headphones connected to the speakers. This is due to a poorly designed amplification component in the speakers themselves. Creative's support forum is filled with hundreds of complaints but Creative is fighting it with ignorance and has yet to acknowledge the fatal flaw with their product.
Other Thoughts: With no recall in sight, severe quality issues apparent, the MSRP of these speakers is asinine. Although no problem with these speakers can in anyway be associated with Newegg. It is purely Creative at fault. I purchased these at a brick and mortar store but felt Newegg customers deserved a warning. I am returning them ASAP for a full refund. Creative has used up its last chance and lost another customer.

Great Speakers!
Pros: These are great speakers for under $100! They sound and look great. You can take the black mesh covers off to reveal the yellow speakers which i think look better. Creative makes great products just buy them, you will not be disappointed.
Cons: I guess the size? They could be smaller but they probably wouldn't look as good if they were.

good speakers
Pros: Good clear sound for music. Speakers are small and fit well on my desk. Adjustable controls for treble and bass. Won't wake the neighbors with bass rumbling through the wall.
Cons: Speakers tip over all the time as they are quite unstable. Can be annoying if you have a desk where you are moving stuff around a lot. LED is quite bright-although some electricians tape will fix this.
Other Thoughts: Overall I am pleased with these speakers. Some times I do miss the rumble of a subwoofer-but I knew what I was getting when I purchased them.

good sound = good value
Pros: Great sound for a desktop 2.0 system. Just about the right size to fit into a computer desk with a laptop. Powerful enough to fill a small room with sound. Great for use with online video, mp3 and some gaming. Crisp, clear, natural sound after a week of continuous use.
Cons: Required a burn-in period for the tweeter/midrange crossover. Some hum and muddy sound in those early days.
Other Thoughts: They aren't an audiophile set of speakers, but what can you expect for a low-cost desktop speaker? They sit in the middle of the range between my audiophile grade speakers and the cheap desktop speakers. They are a good match for motherboard integrated audio chipsets.
If you're looking for great sound consider monitor/audiophile speakers. Beware, your neighbors wouldn't appreciate your gaming with a set of those! They rock the house (literally).

design pitfalls
Pros: The sound quality and visual aesthetics are pleasing. Included in the package are several useful adaptors and cable types.
Cons: These speakers are amazingly unstable. Their height, small footprint, and rounded edges, along with the rubber feet that make them tip rather then slide when disturbed, make tipping inevitable in a home environment. The first week I had two speaker-toppling accidents, and none with any other item in the household. Conclusion: BAD DESIGN.
Other Thoughts: In addition to the mechanical instability that I had to address by mounting the speakers onto home-made, wider-footprint stages, the power LED is way too bright. Other reviewers mentioned masking it with a piece of tape. Finally, the manual does not explain if "aux in" and "audio in" inputs require different input levels, or are identical.

nice speakers
Pros: I've been using an Altxx Lansxxx 2.1 system for the past few years. Living in an apartment, I always had to watch my volume levels due to the sub box in a 2.1 system. Even at very low volume, the sub would pound, and the bass would travel to neighbor's units. So thus, I decided to get a 2.0 system.
What attracted me to these Creative speakers is the fact that they have separate bass and treble controls. I can tweak the settings to my likings. The highs and mids sound great, but it is very lacking in bass even with the bass knob turned all the way up. However, that's not a problem for me since I wasn't looking for a system with bass anyways.
Cons: The brightness of the blue light is ridiculous. It is grossly blinding. First, I used scotch tape to cover it up, and it was STILL blinding. I then put the scotch tape over a thick white notecard and then taped it over the light. Although it is still bright, it is effective in cutting down the intensity of the blue beam to tolerable levels.

Bad sound
Pros: Great color, I also like the design of the speakers.
Cons: They almost make my ears bleed. Seriously. The treble is just way to much on these things. Even if I mess around with the knobs, my sound card equalizer and iTunes equalizer I can't get these to sound right at all. Too high pitched I guess would be how to explain it. And the blue LED in the front is annoying. I read the otehr reviews about it and I didn't think it could have been as bad as people were saying. I was wrong.
Other Thoughts: I bought these because I had a 8+ year old set of Creative's Cambridge Soundworks speakers and the headphone jack was wearing out, I'd have to wiggle the jack to get the headphones to work properly. But now I guess I'm going to go back to using them. I just should have tried out a pair of Bose instead of wasting almost a hundred on these. Sorry Creative, I'll keep buying your sound cards but I'll pass on the speakers.

Big Sound and range
Pros: WOW! These puppies really have a lot of Kick to them. The thing I like best about them is that you can really fine tune the quality of sound using Realtek sound manager and the knobs on speaker. The price 69.99 with rebate is great, you rock NEW EGG! Ordered them after dinner and received them the next day before lunch
Cons: I wish they were all matte black. That blue LED light is a laser light, I was afraid me or my cat was going to go blind from it so I had to cover.
Other Thoughts: Another great product offered at a great price from NEW EGG. They have become the best online store on the WEB.

Pros: For the price their hard to beat.
Cons: I received these as a gift and from the firt day I turned them on one speaker or the other would stop working. Got an RMA from creative with no problems. According to Creative their policy is to replace with the same or and upgraded product. I recieved neither! I got a downgrade! They sent me a set of speakers that looked like T20's but were only 22watt speakers. The power supply was only 2.5Amp where as the original was 2.9Amp. They simply do not sound as good.
Other Thoughts: No more creative anything for me. Good luck with yours and pray they keep working.

Seriously, these are GREAT!!
Pros: These speakers are amazing. They are under $100 and 28W first of all. They are extremely easy to hook up and come with excellent cabling. Upon first listening and turning it up I was blown away by the clear undoctored sound coming out these. You get so much bass out of this for a 2.0 system, all you need for a desktop setup really and they get LOUD. It is way more pure sounding than anything with a subwoofer I've heard. All the negative reviews should probably check they're EQ in their music playing programs.
Cons: Sometimes the cymbals can be a little intense, but on those songs you can just tweak the treble knob a little since you can!
Other Thoughts: These are larger than I initially thought, but still very visually pleasing and stable. Frankly, they gotta be that size to get the quality of sound that comes out. Headphone jack in front definitely a plus! Why don't the JBL duets have that?!

Great Little Speakers
Pros: In a small space you get a Big bang for your buck! Excellent sound quality, Easy to use. Low Noise (feedback) Separate volume, bass and treble controls Creative built a solid product here GigaWorks T20 I just order a second set of the T20. These speakers Rock for a little box. They sound better then the BOSE Companion 2 that I have. The Base is is great for a small speaker I you are looking to Crack the wall boards then your in the wrong place But for a Computer these are your best buy for good sound.
Cons: SO far none
Other Thoughts: ISee other complaining about DOA or Blue light LED is Bright but I think they are pushing it on the Light So far I have had these for over a year and they have work great my second set came to Day and Now I am rock the house For just 28 watts they really put out some Volume. Have fun all.
Thank you Newegg

simple, solid.
Pros: What they don't have is perhaps the strongest case for these speakers: 1.) No subwoofer, no better way to foul up music progammes than to rely on a subwoofer. 2.) No THX certification, what a scam that whole thing is, whats the saying about a fool and his money? G. Lucas is nothing if not a brilliant marketer. 3.) No remote controls (wired or otherwise) to further clutter my workspace, how far are you usually sitting from your computer??!? In the absence of the above what your crisp Ben Franklin buys makes them even stronger: Clean, bright neutral sounding speakers...thats it. Take off the grilles and you will recognize what you see as a small set of hi-fi speakers; woven glass cone, cloth tweeter and a bass port. They aren't hard on the eyes either (except the blue led that will burn holes in your retinas if you don't cover it up with electrical tape). You won't feel silly in two years with some odd looking toads sitting on your desk.
Cons: Flame-thrower of a power led, always the same story with blue leds...I have no problem with blue (I own 2 vw's...blue dash illumination in both) electronics manufacturers gotta learn to bury these things deeper in the case behind a diffusing lens. Fortunately the rest of the package is subtle. The power brick critique is overblown, it is a lot smaller than a crummy subwoofer rumbling away at your feet.
Other Thoughts: I'm happy to say PC speakers don't all suck as I previously thought. Just don't expect them to replace your hi-fi, it's just a computer folks, even running a soundblaster card. If you are interested in quality of sound, buy speakers made by a company specializing in pc audio components, interested in quantity of sound, buy speakers made by a peripheral manufacturer.

Exactly what I wanted
Pros: Excellent sound quality Good bass without a sub Separate volume, bass and treble controls Aux in and Headphone jack Includes an aux-in cable as well as stereo RCA to mini plug adapter
Cons: I'm stretching for a con here, as I feel these are the best deal in their pricerange - but they are rather tall and somewhat easy to knock over if you have a lot of cables on your desk. I use these at work, and occassionally I will knock them over.
Other Thoughts: I love these speakers because they provide excellent sound and features, no sub, and a pretty small footprint.
I tested them with my Shure SE210 headphones - sound quality is as good or better than directly out of the computer's headphone jack.
The input works well too - the included cable is great - so many companies cheap out by not including cables, but not with these speakers - good job Creative!
Sorry if this review seems a bit sugar-coated - but when a product really gets it right, I have to give them credit.

Good speakers
Pros: Very clear speakers with good mid range and a surprisingly deep bass. I listen to mainly classical and pink floyd and the sound reproduction rivals more expensive speakers. I use them for my dorm room and they are just perfect.
Cons: The blue light could land an airplane. I ended up putting electrical tape over it.
The only problem I have with the speakers, if you could even call it a problem is that with some music, the highs can sound a bit washed, almost not enough bite on them. But that might just be me.
Other Thoughts: Speakers sound noticeably better after a week of use. Much clearer high and mid range.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for dorm room speakers.

powerful full range desktop 2.0 speakers
Pros: loud! it gets scary loud, Im scared to turn the volume knob more than 2/3 of the way, not just treble loud, I can feel the bass on the floor. comes with all the cables you need, a long miniplug for your pc and a short one for your laptop.
Cons: bright bright blindly bright power LED, when will manufacturers ever learn? I'm almost thinking about getting a sharpie and painting it with some ink so it'll dim down

Speakers Failed
Pros: The sound quality of these speakers are excellent for computer speakers. The best I've heard. I was impressed with the build quality and appearance.
Cons: Whining from the left speaker from the beginning, however it was tolerable. After 2 months my left speaker is producing a constant, very noticeable sound of white noise (static). I've tried different power sources and another computer and mp3 player with the same result.
Other Thoughts: If you look at the forum on the Creative labs website, numerous people are complaing of the exact same situation. Creative Labs obviously has a serious problem with the manufacturing of these speakers. I'm very disappointed.

Happy!
Pros: I am a audiophile purist. So I will have to say these speakers are great for the money. I would NEVER use a computer for HI-FI stereo sound EVER. But for the purpose I use my PC for these are very good sounding speakers. But I would never spend more for my computer under any circumstances.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I just use these for basic things. I have my $50,000 stereo for when I get serious. Bottom line is I would be hard pressed to find better speakers for my PC.

Failed in 3 Months
Pros: Great feel and solid build quality. Surprisingly heavy for their size, nice look as well and sounded great when they worked.
Cons: Right off the bat the signal to the left speaker would cut out unless you'd reach around back and play with the plug to it. Speakers completely died after 3 months. $90 out the window.
Other Thoughts: While the speakers look and feel like high quality speakers, I don't think they are built well. Try and find some long-term impressions from folks if you plan to buy them to see if they are still working.

Great little speakers
Pros: I was looking for a pair of portable speakers for use with my xbox 360 (i go to a lot of lAN parties) and found these at my local A/V store for $60.00. I took a quick listen to them in the store and was impressed (despite the less than ideal setup). These speakers sound great on every game that I have thrown at them. They have plenty of bass for my tastes. They also sound very good with music (metal, rock, classical, jazz, you name it). Imaging is very good and no matter how loud I push them, the sound does not become terribly distorted.
Cons: At higher volumes, the tweeters can become a little fatiguing to listen to.
plastic enclosure (kind of goes with the price)
Other Thoughts: You also might look into the M-Audio line of speakers. I had a chance to listen to them at the store as well and they sound amazing as well (maybe even more so).

Great Buy For Money
Pros: Everything on them is great I have owned 2.1 systems not the best ones but ones costing 120 150 bucks and this t20s leave them in the dust. Lots of power only turned up about 1/3 the volume and can hear throughout the house. They also are not bad eye candy either!
Cons: The Blue Power light is awfully bright, bright as in like stare at it too long and you see the dots like when staring at sun too long. No wall mount option on them so need to sit on a desk or somewhere, which to me I have barely any desk space as it is.
Other Thoughts: Buy it if you want great sound for an affordable price and don't mind not having a box at your feet shaking your house to the ground

Affordability vs Performance equals 4-1/2 Stars!
Pros: Excellent highs, midrange and separation at normal office volumes. The sound coming from the scaled framework is very good. Excellent quality, well built and attractive.
Cons: Adequate base, limited power
Other Thoughts: The Creative Labs 2.0 GigaWorks T-20 two speaker system is a beautiful thing! Why?, because they sound very very good and are economically priced so no need to break into your son's piggy bank. Before I go too far, there are better sounding, base thumping, MORE EXPENSIVE 2.1, 5.1 and 7.1 systems. However, the T-20's are perfect for a home office setup and will fill the room with good highs, excellent midrange and an adequate base. They are solidly built, look good and suit my needs. They have very good separation, especially at lower to moderate volume. Gigaworks is Creative Labs flagship 'highest quality' brand. Other reviews have said these are the best 2.0 desktop speakers available. They certainly are in the top two. (Klipsch ProMedia 2.0 being the other which have a tad more base at higher volume). If you have the room and need even more base try Logitech's Z-2300 2.1 system. They are rated ***** excellent, affordable but have been around for four years. They look a little dated a

Great Sound & Looks, but Short Lived
Pros: Clear sound, good bass & treble throughout the volume range. These sound almost as good as my bookshelf speakers with 5+" mids. They are also sized well (small) for the sound quality.
Cons: The left speaker slowly developed the problem of playing white noise. Sounds can still be heard clearly, but the white noise is ever present (even when no audio source is connected). The blue LED on the right speaker is also far too bright.
Other Thoughts: I bought a pair of these at a local store, had the white noise problem, and returned them. I wanted another pair, but the store was sold out. So, I bought a pair from NewEgg. The same problem developed, but this time it was only in the left speaker (and after only 1 week of use).

Great 2.0 System - Not Long Lasting
Pros: Incredible sound from a relatively small footprint; Solidly built units.
Cons: Speaker height limits area on desktop for placement; Unbearable static after 4 months of use! Crackling and popping from speakers - even when not connected to an audio source!
Other Thoughts: After contacting Creative, I need to send these in for repair or replacement at my own cost! This will set me back another 10-20 bucks, which is not acceptable for a faulty product. I own a Zen Vision:M 30 GB Player, SB X-Fi Sound Card in my PC, and this is the first issue I've had with their products.

Sounds great when they work
Pros: Sounds great. Nicely balanced for a desktop speaker. Plenty of bass.
Cons: Massive, painful static after 7 months.
Other Thoughts: Just yesterday these speakers started to play very loud static, even when disconnected from my computer. It's very loud and sounds like clipping.

Satisfied
Pros: Nice appearance, bass & treble controls, headphone jack, knobs have a solid feel, great sound for 2.0 computer speakers.
Cons: Blue power light is brighter than the sun, headphone volume level is low (when using headphones, you can turn volume to max and it is still not very loud).
Other Thoughts: I am very happy that Creative (or anyone for that matter) is offering a quality mid-range / high-end 2.0 speaker set. Still, I would like to see a set with larger more capable low-frequency speakers.

Very impressive 2.0, with one problem
Pros: These speakers sound phenomenal for only being a 2.0 setup. The spectrum of sounds is better than any other 2.0 setup I have tried, and that's saying a lot. Bass, which usually lacks in most of them, was very clear and accurate. That is the biggest surprise. The speakers they replaced were some Series II Bose Companion 2s, which weren't all that bad in their own right, but the T20's are acoustically superior in almost every way.
Cons: But...and it's a huge one...there is this very high pitched squeal that is almost inaudible. I have hypersensitive ears...where I can hear stuff and it will annoy the heck out of me whereas most people can tune it out and ignore it. This whine is simply the most annoying thing to me...and for that I had to return them. I REALLY wish that it didn't exist (I tried two sets, both did the same thing) because I like EVERYTHING else about the speakers.
Other Thoughts: In the end, I had to go back and get another set of the Bose Companion 2s because they are a good speaker set...and they don't make noises. Most people will be perfectly happy with the T20s though...but if you're like me, the little sounds will start to annoy you.

Poor sound
Pros: Attractive speaker enclosures
Cons: sounds poor when using radio to drive them. Sounds OK when using MP3's. Not that much bass. For the price I'd recommend a 2.1 speaker set up from Ligitech.
Other Thoughts: If you look at the reviews Creative doesn't fair to well, overall.

Excellent Speakers
Pros: Simply put, these speakers sound excellent. Definitely worth the money.
Cons: If you intend to use them at night, then you might need some black tape to cover the bright blue LED.
Other Thoughts: They're an excellent set of 2.0 speakers. Just a great mix of bass and treble and no need for a subwoofer.

Great pair of 2.0 speakers
Pros: I'm no audiophile, but the sound quality is amazing. I had a really bad pair of 2.1 speakers before I got these and it just sounded like the band was playing right in front of me.
Cons: The light is way too bright, there is a high pitched sound when you turn on the speakers although it goes away quickly, and it gives really low headphone sound.
Other Thoughts: I just covered the light with something to make it much less annoying. Great pair of 2.0 speakers, I love them.

For the $$ these are fine speakers
Pros: I bought these for my IBM laptop, which I use for school. I wanted 2.0 speakers for their portability. These speakers have clean, clear sound with some bass (not a lot, but enough). I listen to shoutcast at "room" levels and what I get with the system of these speakers and the soundchip in the IBM laptop is about equal to what you get with a Bose table radio (which I own).
Cons: The blue "on" light is a pain. I covered it with a small piece of black duct tape.
Other Thoughts: For the money I doubt if you can get much better crisp and true sound out of a small form-factor 2.0 speaker set-up.

Crisp & Clear
Pros: It's plenty loud of enough for us, the sound is clear and crisp, they don't dominate the desk, but they aren't "that" small!
Cons: Lack of documentation about the size of the speakers.

Best 2.0 speakers for under $100
Pros: Very neutral, pleasant sounding speakers with very tight upper bass. Great imaging. Quality construction/finish and substantial feeling adjustment knobs.
Cons: The worst things i can say about these speakers is that it has an annoyingly bright blue light and ugly wall-wart of a power adapter. Woofer can distort at high volumes, so don't expect party/club-level music in anything bigger than a small bedroom/office. If you want earspliting sound, get a Klipsch. If you want quality, get this one.
Other Thoughts: Needs a subwoofer to experience mid-low range bass (ie. anything below 100hz). If you have the room, I recommend buying seperate subwoofer, any decent powered subwoofer will do (doesn't have to be one made for a PC, a home theater subwoofer will work fine so long as your computer has a subwoofer output, which most modern ones do)

Great Speakers! ....and then came the static :-(
Pros: Great set of speakers. Had to get rid of my Logitech Z560's because they were rattling the plates out of the kitchen cabinets in our new house. Decided to go with the Gigaworks T20's and have to say for 2.0 speakers the sound is impressive. Tight bass and decent highs and the plates don't rattle anymore. Today they developed a static/crackle just sitting there by themselves with the computer shut off. Had them for about 8 months now. Waiting for an RMA from Creative to get a replacement set.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Can't say enough about Newegg! I've never, NEVER had any issues and customer service is always A+++!

Excellent Speakers!
Pros: crystal clear highs, and low mid range tones!
Cons: blinding blue light, and enormous power supply.
Other Thoughts: These are the best 2.0 speakers I've heard in this price range! I bought these online (untested in any store) and was basically going by what others were saying about them, and I gotta say I'm happy I took the chance on them because they are well worth the $80 w/ free shipping (that I paid)!
They are powerful speakers, with crystal clear highs and low mid range tones. I wasn't expecting the bass to sound as good as it does without a subwoofer, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a punch they actually deliver.
If I had to give them any negative feedback, it would be the blue "power on" light is so bright I can almost use them as a night light... and the power supply is gigantic! but aside from that they are top notch speakers!
If you're expecting to listen to rap or loud rock, I suggest looking elsewhere, but for everyday PC speakers these can't be beat! I use them for music as well as games, and they both sound fantastic! highly recommended!

Fit my desktop well
Pros: A bit pricey but they are certainly nice to look at and they sound great. If you like to crank the volume or prefer to shake the wall's these are probably not the speakers for you.
Cons: Would have been nice if they could have build in the power converter rather then using a brick. That blue light might be a cause for alarm if you live near an airport.
Other Thoughts: Overall, very happy with these as they sound great in my small study and with the doors closed, I don't have to worry about the bass waking up the kids.

Very good speakers
Pros: Of the three speaker sets that I've bought, these were the best. Very comfortable listening.
Cons: As another user pointed out, they could use a little more shielding. If you put them right next to the monitor, you get some color distortion.

Great
Pros: These speakers have a great solid sound. I feel like i can hear each insturment and voice sperately when I listen to music on these. Bass is pretty good, although its not as good as having a real subwoofer.
Cons: The light on the speaker is very bright and i often have to cover it up with something when im watching a movie.
Other Thoughts: overall good speakers, I recomend them if you want a simple, good sound small speaker system.

Pleasant surprise
Pros: Nice looking design and color. Base, treble and volume control with headphone and auxiliary intput. Very solid feel. Space saving. Accurate mid, highs and adaquate bass.
Cons: Kinda pricey for a 2.0 system. Needs to be broken in for many hours to get smooth even sound.
Other Thoughts: I have several PC's at home. I recently bought the logitech z2300 2.1 system for almost the same price as these little speakers. I love the bass on the logitech for games, dvd movies and hard pounding music. But 90% of the time I listen to a mix variety of music while I surf, work and even play pc games. I tend to find myself being more comfortable with these speakers for long periods of time even though they are connected to my less powerful PC. These speakers just sound better when you want to just chill out and use your computer. I can actually hear individual instruments and voices. I use to judge speakers by how loud the volume and how low the bass response. These speakers let me appreciate quality balanced sound as well. Anyways I have the best of both worlds. But if I had to choose between the THX certified logitech 2.1 and these Gigaworks T20, I would choose the smaller T20s. I have a 15 inch subwoofer in my car anyway and an after market audio system.

Great 2.0 System
Pros: They take up little space, front jacks for line-in & headphones, detailed highs, surprisingly good lows.
Cons: The rubber inserts for the speaker grilles come out when removed. Just annoying.
Other Thoughts: I needed a small set of speakers to use with my laptop that were easy to take to and from school. The T20's worked out perfectly for me. They take up little desk space, and sound great even at very low levels. This is probably the most detailed 2.0 system I've heard in the computer market. Take the speaker grilles off and you'll get attention. They look and sound more expensive than they really are. The front mounted controls and jacks are just icing on the cake. If you're looking for a small 2.0 system that sounds great this is the one to get.

Pros: Sound is rich and clear. Bass is accurate without the annoying distortion that's common in lesser speakers.
Cons: What's with equipment makers thinking people actually want bright power indicator lights?
Other Thoughts: When I ditched my bulky CRT for an LCD, I figured it didn't make much sense to have a sub and a mess of wires. What I didn't expect was this 2.0 setup to totally outclass my old 5.1 X-530's.

Great speakres
Pros: Great Sound, very nice looking. Extra input, solid good material. Loud enough
Cons: Bad balance.. they fall easy That BLUE light its so blueeee
Other Thoughts: If you want to feel the bass (low frequencies) from them you have to place them 2-3 feet away from you, or make sure there is wall 3-4 feet behind them. I use to agree with all the people who didn't like the lows of these speakers but now I am not.

Excellent 2.0 Speaker!
Pros: I chose T20 over Klipsch 2.0 and I am glad I made the right choice. The things I like about it: 1. Sound quality. This little speaker produce sounds with high fidelity. The base is stronger enough for me (I live in apartment).
2. Price. Even sweeter with $20 rebate (the rebate arrived within a month).
3. It looks nice.
Cons: No cons so far.

Good speakers
Pros: Great sounding lows for the size, high volume, high quality construction.
Cons: Bad sounding high mids.
Other Thoughts: I bought these for my GF, and compared them side-by-side to a pair of Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 2.0s. The Klipsch speakers have better sounding high mids and highs than these. Listen to a song with a lot of midrange (such as Interpol - Slow Hands) and the problem with these speakers becomes evident. You can hear a lot of frequencies ringing out, and there are wolf notes. It is enough to drive a perfectionist like me nuts.
I still gave them 4 stars, because they are still above average for computer speakers. They just can't compete with their Klipsch counterparts.

Outstanding quality and design
Pros: beautiful design solid construction excellent sound quality plenty of power
Cons: The blue LED is a tad on the bright side
Other Thoughts: I bought these to go with my MacBook, as I didn't want to have to deal with a big bulky subwoofer any longer. They pump out nearly as much bass as my old system, and they sound just as good. You simply can't go wring with this 2.0 system.

Buy these now !!!!! (
Pros: These speakers sound extremely nice. Im a huge audiophile and to just compare to Bxxe, Bxxe just doesnt come close to these. Even those Kxxxschs 2.0 speakers dont sound as half good as these do. Highs, Mids, and Lows are just stunning. You gotta hear these to beleive. These can compete with some of the 2.1 setups and these things just have pure clarity and Bass, a MUST AND I MEAN MUST BUY. GET THEM WHILE YOU CAN NOW!!!! =)
Cons: none

Simply Amazing!
Pros: Like the review below I was fed up with having to deal with so many cables and speakers and after a while surround sound gaming isn't that big of a deal. Living in an apartment with a sub thumping away during shootouts and explosions won't endear you to your neighbors. I went to a local MxxxxCxxxxx planning on buying a pair or cheap Axxxx Lxxxxxs to use in the meantime. While browsing around I saw one box of T20s. I wanted to ask one of the sales people if they had heard them or knew anything but of course there was no one around. When I pickeed up the box I was skeptical at first since it seemed pretty heavy and I thought it would mostly be the AC adapter but I bought it anyways. When I got home I was surprised at the size and weight of the speakers. I plugged them in and fired up winamp and was blown away by the sound quality. I used a lot of rock and classical to test them out, I was hearing details I can't ever hear on my regular surround sound. An awesome buy
Cons: The price is a little on the steep side
Other Thoughts: I was hoping that the speakers would have the transformer built in but not a big deal, it's not that big.

1 - 2 Punch!
Pros: Compact, good frequency response (40hz to 20Khz), component-style controls (bass/treble/volume). Easy access to the headphone output and Aux-in for MP3 and other portable devices. 28 watts of pure performance!
Cons: Bright Blue LED!
Other Thoughts: I was looking at the I-Trigue 3300 2.1, but saw these and decided these would fit with my Benq F791 LCD monitor, and small space. There is nothing wrong with the AC/DC power brick. Smaller than the size of your fist! If your looking for compact speakers with good sound...stop looking, because these are it! Speakers are matched with a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 sound card. Your ears won't be disappointed!

2.0 Good 2.0 Be True
Pros: I fell in love with these speakers as soon as I got them. After years with messy surround sound set-ups, I decided my new set-up would be cleaner. Armed with a new 24-inch Dell flat panel, I wanted everything to look that nice so I purchased the T20's. Side by side with my monitor they looked gorgeous. Hell, even the blue light matched my system!
Upon hearing these, I was impressed. Never have I heard such good sound from 2 speakers. These were much more clearer than my 5.1's... I was even happy to find there's a nice "thump" in songs that had lots of bass. In fact I had to turn my bass knob down in some songs (but for the most part the standard setting is fine).
Creative even throws in RCA plugs! Perfect for my set-up where I have a flat panel with no speakers. My DVD or DirectTV can hook up to that, and the Red/White wires to the speakers and voila, done.
I consider myself an audiophile; I love music and I want it to be played right. I feel the T20's accomplished that.
Cons: The only negatives I have would be you can't play them EXTREMELY loud. I play my music at an already loud level where I could hear it clearly on the opposite side of my 2-room apartment, but in testing these speakers I just wanted it a bit louder. Just enough to hurt my ear drums at least - well you can turn them that loud except the sound quality won't be there.
In retrospect I was just being a bit greedy; the T20 speakers were already perfect and turning them up all the way and expecting it to be clear was me trying to be greedy. These speakers get loud enough to wake the neighbors, but not the people across the street :)
One minor flaw would be the headphone plug in the right speaker. If you put in headphones through the speakers you'll notice they are much quieter than you would expect. So just either 1, turn up the volume knob to get it where you want or 2, put your headphones in another input such as in the front of your computer if it has it there.
Other Thoughts: From some of the reviews I've read it seems like people complain about the power brick... well nearly all speakers I've ever purchased used a power brick so I have no complaints with it here.
Bottom line is that these speakers for you UNLESS you are into surround sound (5.1's). That's the only reason not to get these. Of course from my experience with 4.1-7.1 set ups can get really messy (unless you have expensive wireless ones). Also, I really don't watch DVD's on my computer; if I did I found 2 speakers were good enough. In fact with my surround sound I usually found myself just putting all 5 speakers in front of me on my desk because the wires were too much trouble... not to mention surround sound on your computer just isn't the same if you had a nice TV set-up where you can kick back and enjoy it more.
Gaming surround sound was impressive to me at first like in Call of Duty, but then it just became a non-factor and I put my 5.1s back in front of me. I just rather have 2.0s

Nice
Pros: Great sound for compact 2.0 speakers. The build quality appears to be excellent.
Cons: The price is rather high especially considering the cheap AC/DC power brick. It requires 110V AC and does not automatically switch between 110/220/240V (as would nearly all laptop power bricks).

You'll love 'em
Pros: - Great full sound from 2 small speakers - Solid Construction - Look Spiffy
Cons: - Stuf could fall into the bass port at the top and get lost... I guess
Other Thoughts: When I first got this box I though... oops I just spent xx+$ on these tiny speakers... I am such a moron.
That feeling quickly passed when I got them hooked up, these really sound like much bigger speakers.
Don't think about it just buy them :)
