110V or 220V input - NOT BOTH !!!!
Pros: None so far
Cons: The 1000B has two models: a 110V input model and a 220V input model. The unit does NOT autosense the input voltage.
Other Thoughts: I live outside the US and power elsewhere in the world is not as reliable or steady as in the states. Having a unit that is multi-standard, as OPTI-PLUS documentation implies, is necessary for those who live outside the US (Military, business, etc.) OPti-Pluss should market the two different models accordingly instead of under the single model name.

Opti-UPS DS100B 1000VA/700Watts
Pros: reliability, noise is not anywhere near as bad as the other two ratings suggest. I sleep right next to one of them, and can barely hear it!!!!
Cons: Software sucks but you don't have to load it!!!!!!!!!It works fine without it!!! I have a PC Power and Cooling 850watt power supply,Intel 2.93 XTREME core 2 duo over clocked to 3.70, two 150gig raptors, water cooling, 6 Silverstone adjust. 120mm 10 blade fans and it only shows like 44% usage!!! I love these things!! Plus it keeps output voltage to +- 2%!!! Better than any other!!!!!!!!
Other Thoughts: I have two and am getting ready to buy more.....they are far better than APC in my opinion.

Very Good "Online" UPS
Pros: True "Online" UPS, with zero switching time to inverter output.
The ability to manually select modes (constantly powered inverter, "high efficiency" mode which uses a fast-relay like cheaper UPS's, tolerances for input frequency and voltage).
Cons: Only 700 watts.
Only 1000 volt-amperes of reserve capacity.
Drivers use a Java based browser interface, which is horrible to configure.
The Java based browser interface does not give the option to select different modes of operation (online, high-efficiency "Automatic Voltage Regulation [AVR]).
*Dude*. The fan is pretty loud. It's no "Delta" 80mm fan at 90 decibels, rattling the fillings in your teeth, but it's definately loud (I would guess 50db at 8 inches). The fan is load-controlled, rather than temperature controlled. I am considering cracking the thing open and replacing it with an Enermax temp-controlled fan (the drivers report 27C temps, and the exhaust fan air feels very cool -- there's no way the windings are temperature stressed).
The inability to log load levels. I have little use for logging output voltage, since it's pegged at 119-120v. However, I would very much like to log the load levels to see maximums and minimums.
Other Thoughts: My UPS has a faulty "enter" button on the unit. I am unable to manually select between modes of operation. This doesn't bother me all that much because I bought the thing for it's constantly powered inverter ability, but still -- it would be nice to have that ability since it's _designed_ to have that ability. I'm not motivated enough to return it since it's completely working for me in every other regard, so such is life.

It is 1000VA not 1500VA
Pros: Excellent products but with wrong description. It is 1000VA 700W.
Cons: I thought 1500VA w/1050W. When i recieved it, I found out it was 1000VA 700W from the manual. It is too heavy to do the replacement so i keep it.
