Nice Navigater
Pros: As a Chinese-American who cannot speak fluent English, I am always too shy to ask for direction and thus cause me get lost and waste time. But now with the Garmin nuvi 350, I dare to travel in US! It can show me the destination right the way and even show me another route if needed. But won't guide you to hit the R/R track. LOL. My friend's GPS lead him the wrong way to cross the R/R and he was horned by the train. LoL.
Cons: Price drops very fast even faster than I expect. :( Need time and patient for boot-up. :p Slow reaction under poor weather condition and after operation for a period of time :(

Pros: It works well, screen size is easy to see and instructions are clear.
Cons: It's difficult to change route to accommodate construction, it takes a long time before it stops telling you to turn and go back the other way- which gets pretty annoying.

Maps Lacking
Pros: Used this on multiple roadtrips in eastern US. For the most part it does an adequate job. Was a good price compared to OEM units I've owned in the past.
Cons: Maps are inaccurate at least in in North Carolina, Indiana, Detroit, and Chicago resulting in scenic tours down the wrong path. On at least a half-dozen occasions the unit has directed me to turn the wrong way. A map updates cost around $80 which I refuse to pay on a relatively new unit
Other Thoughts: I'll buy a new unit in another year to hopefully get accurate maps. Can you say TomTom?

Great when it works
Pros: Many features, more than I would need. It reads the street names. Very small so it is easy to carry. I never had any real issues with the navigation aspect.
Cons: Well it started with a battery that would not hold a charge. One minute the battery indicator would be full, the next minute the unit would beep saying it is about to shut off because the battery is dead. This was not a big deal because I just kept it plugged in while in the car. The real problem began when the back lighting would keep shutting off. I would have to angle it a certain way in the light to actually see the map. I eventually realized I could twist the unit to make the back lighting temporarily turn on. After doing this many times during a single drive I decided to attempt to fix it the loose connection because I knew that was the problem. I began to open the bottom half to see the loose wire connection inside but was unable to correct it because the top part of the unit is attached in a way that the average person cannot open. They use very tiny hex screws and they put them in spots where a regular hex wrench would not fit (behind the antenna hinge).
Other Thoughts: After all my frustration with this unit I decided to send it in for an "Out of Warranty" repair that would cost 175 dollars. I attempted to get an RMA number so I could return it to them. I called for the person that promised me the repair and free map updates by e-mail but they never seemed to be there. The people I spoke with said they would email that person and they would then call me. Over a full month I did this 2 times and no one ever called. After e-mailing a 3rd time they asked me to jump through more hoops to get an RMA number. I now have given up and am going to buy a new GPS. I hope I NEVER have to deal with their "support" ever again.

Good Enough GPS
Pros: Compact size and lightweight, good battery life, decent text to speech, quick routing and recalculation. Contains many POIs and accepts common file formats.
Cons: Some menus are less than obvious at first. Suction cup is a bit small/weak -- optional dashboard mount is better. Directions are occasionally inaccurate or inefficient, typical of GPSs. Lack of left/right direction to make next turn and short audible warning times before turns may necessitate last-minute lane changes, which are not always feasible in traffic.
Other Thoughts: I'd consider a 6xx model with a larger display next time.

A lot of GPS for a small price
Pros: I am really pleased with this GPS. For the money it fulfills all the GPS needs I have. Compact enough to fit in your pocket. Voice gives you directions plenty of time before turns. Plenty of on board memory to load mp3's if you so choose. The additional memory slot has worked fine for me. In the event I miss a turn, it recalculates and gets me back on track. When I away on business, I take it with me when I walk somewhere. Now that I own this GPS, I will never travel without it.
Cons: This is a sturdy unit. The mount that attaches to the windshield does not work well. In warm/hot weather it will fail and fall off...taking the unit with it. For some reason the rubber suction cup does not adhere well to a windshield that has sat in the sun. It will fool you. I've attached the mounting device and tugged on it to make sure it was secure. Only to have it fall off after I'm en route. Then I have to pull over to pick it up off the floor. So far no damage to the unit but now I'm concerned if this will be covered in the event damage is caused by the mounting device not working as expected. I am now inconvenienced because I can't trust the mount anymore.
Other Thoughts: The pro's outweigh the cons. Be careful when you mount it to the windshield and be prepared to pick your unit off the floor in very warm or hot weather if it is mounted with the suction cup. Pull over if you have to do this...don't try it while driving. ;)

Imperfect, but much better than not having it.
Pros: Small screen (blocks less of the windshield). Cheap. Clear voice instructions. Intuitive user interface. Packaged accessories. Seems to lock onto satellites quickly.
Cons: Some maps are out of date, and you cannot update them online for free. Gets confused in some freeway systems (eg. I5 in Seattle), especially when there are a number of routes running together or above one another. Asks you to take non-existent exits. Does not always choose the shortest route.
Other Thoughts: Garmin charge a lot for their upgrades.

Compact GPS
Pros: Compact for easy transferability from card to car to bike. Great price!
Cons: Not sure why the flip-up antennae is needed. Slight lag in GPS screen rsponse when highway cruising over 95 MPH.

It works for me
Pros: I do contract work all over South Louisiana, and it's always gotten me where I want to go. It finds satellites quickly, it chooses reasonable routes, and recalculates quickly if I miss a turn. I have not gotten lost with this unit yet. It's really easy to use. Nothing to set up, works right out of the box.
Cons: Sometimes on a long street or highway the street numbers can be quite a bit off. I've had it about 1/4 - 1/2 mile off in a few remote cases. I'm not sure if I need some updated maps or if the street numbering/mapping system is inherently flawed. It's really not that big of a deal, though, and once I'm in the general area I can read street numbers and get where I need to go.

Great equipment
Pros: I have used a marine gps for years, but this is the first auto travel one that I have owned. I bought Garmin, because I consider Garmin the best in GPS. I have owned it for about 6 months and have never been lost with it. Have already recommended this unit to several family and friends.
Cons: Sometimes takes a couple of minutes to acquire sattelites after it has been off for a day or two. The screen could be easier to read in bright light.
Other Thoughts: Sometimes it doesn't take you on the route that you know is better, but - hey - if you knew what route you were going to take, why did you turn the GPS on. Even if it does not always take your favorite route, I guarantee that if follow Jill's instructions you will not get lost in a strange town. Entering a destination by address is usually very accurate, but sometimes the POI database does not have the exact location.

Good Buy!
Pros: Good sturdy construction. I've dropped this thing in the car a couple times and it works every time. This thing has definitely reduced my stress level when I am driving in New York City or Philadelphia. I am not afraid to go anywhere now. Took this device on a trip to the Ozarks in Arkansas and this thing was great. I was able to mark where our cabin was (off an unmarked road) and come back to it without having to ask for directions once!
Cons: Takes a little time getting a signal. Software is a little funky. If you shut it off while on a trip and turn it back on, it will give you different directions.

Garmin Nuvi 350
Pros: I have owned this unit for roughly a year, and although not perfect, it is a pretty nice unit that will assist any US motorist thru the majority of their situations. Size is nice, comes with enough accessories to plug into home and auto.
Cons: Not a gripe with the unit, but with software available to users.....more current updates and several times a year would be nice to make this and other GPS units more functional. Point in case, traveling from Iowa into Missouri, the road was moved 300 feet, and it goes thru recalculation until it finally gets to the original road. Not the fault of the unit, but the maps loaded into the unit.
Other Thoughts: To Maxamoto, see my above comments. I have actually taken this unit hiking and mountain climbing, trails and climbs, and it's probably 95% accurate for that terrain. I would expect the gov't to provide more accurate units to our military other than this unit!! If they don't, then shame on them. We spend billion of dollars for out military, and this isn't the unit I would expect them to use. However for the everyday motorist, getting from point A to B, it is very intuitive with a few gotchas. Newegg delivered this unit on time before a trip, and all I can say is assisted me thru neighborhoods I'd never been thru to get me to my destination, even with new construction and roads. The mapping software was pretty well up to date.

great product
Pros: Works straight out of the box. small enough to carry in pocket. Gives good directions. Business lookup on the fly
Cons: Sometimes gives you weird directions which will take you through undesired detours. I wish it was easier to see if your next turn will be left or right, as it is now, you have to click on the screen to see this. I would like this on the screen
Other Thoughts: Amazing product

Great GPS, use it every day... not to just watch the icon.
Pros: Excellent signal. Custom POIs are great. I've had it for almost a year. Use it daily to find client addresses.
Cons: Touchscreen is a little twitchy... recallibrated several times, but not enough of an issue to drop the rating. Garmin updates are great.
Other Thoughts: No GPS is 100%. Some of these 1 egg reviews are totally out if line.

Total junk
Pros: Small. Everything you need for a horrible GPS experience is included
Cons: Everything. This thing is total junk.
Other Thoughts: This thing is total junk. Anyone who trusts this thing to get them from point A to B is a fool, as it will only get you good and lost. Does not support WMA, the extra features are worthless, cannot navigate for anything, constantly recalculates the routes until it crashes and reboots. Have had two of them do the same thing. I am a US soldier, and I am pretty comfortable with GPS as I used it every day in Iraq with no issues. Only in the states and in Europe have I had issues with a GPS unit. Magellan are good for everyday use. Do not trust Garmin. Ever. There is a good reason the US Military won't buy them for combat usage. They will get you killed in battle, but for civilians, they will just get you lost. Anyone who gives this thing a high rating probably just stuck it to their windshield and is satisfied with a little car icon moving around. I guess if that's all you want, you'll more than get your money's worth with this piece of junk.

After one year usage of GARMIN streetpilot i3 GPS
Pros: small and cheap
Cons: Garmin forces you to buy their update which cost $75, and it seems like the device is not worth it.
Other Thoughts: Purchased the GARMIN streetpilot i3 more then a year ago, it was working fine more or less no significant complaints. As a year passed suddenly appeared a message every time I start the GPS about an update, the device started to malfunction like “Recalculating….” All the time even when there is no mistake, the GPS refuses to function from the lighter cable alone and charged batteries must be used – not cable alone. Its just annoying, Garmin customer service wont help with the message its their initiative. I would look into other options then garmin.

The best choice
Pros: The unit is just the right size that will not block your view in any position on the windshield. Very bright and uncluttered screen. Small enough to walk around with to find that restaurant. The routing recalculations for missed or forced detours are quick. The unit is loud and clear for a half deaf person like myself. For those dark and rainy nights in a new area where the road signs are missing, and the expert next to you (who can't read a map) would be throwing out every male driver cliche and giving directions, this unit makes the trip so peaceful. Buy this, you'll love it.
Cons: The power cable for the car is China cheap. The kind of plastic cable that is impossible to staighten out. You know, like a toy Slinky. The subject of not following the scheduled route can be comical/frustrating. Sometimes the unit gets obsessed with it's route "recalculating" your alternate route taken with U turns and roads to get you back on the original track. Only after six miles did it finally recalculate the last mile routing correctly. It would be nice the place a "Via" in the initial routing. Starting up with tall building around you (10-20 floor) can be frustrating. The unit gets brain dead and will not acquire any satelites. Even after entering an area of open ski. Traveling in city traffic while rebooting, entering your destination, and not too sure where you are going can be a challenge.
Other Thoughts: Once the unit locks on some satelites, do as your told and enjoy the ride. You'll get there.

GARMIN nüvi 350 3.5" GPS Navigation
Pros: This device has a lot of toys on it that you can play with. It has an SD slot on it that will play music & pictures. Not that you would want to looks at pictures on this thing nor listen to music out of its tiny speaker when your driving, but it has a audio out jack that can connect to any in car radio. You can listen to your favorite music & when it goes to tell you a direction, it will lower the audio so you can hear it. The maps are detailed & the commands are pretty clear.
It also has a tripometer on it, it displays how long you been driving, how long you been stopped, how fast you have gone etc.
Some of the other reviews have said that it takes you in odd directions. Well the unit has options & you can tell it to take all highway, avoid toll roads etc.
The other great option is you can stop were ever you are & tell it to find the closest gas station or mall etc. Over all its a great unit for its price!
Cons: When you drive to any location, there are a number of ways to travel to get there. When I go camping, the unit will tell me to turn right on one road but I want to go left. It's no big deal, the unit is just taking me the best route but the route it wanted to take me was all hills & left is no hills.
You can't have the unit stop & say ok you can turn left & go this way or go right & go this way but there are a lot of hills & your towing a boat so it may be better for you to turn left.
This unit cant save you from your self so there is no way around this problem that I can see.
Does not have live traffic feeds
Other Thoughts: Buy it if you have the $

Awesome
Pros: Very simple to use Good Software Good Battery Life Nice Size Well PRiced Good 3D Screen
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Had mine for about 6 mos and am thrilled with it. I did several days of researching all brands and other models of Garmin and this one was the best going at my price range. Extrememly easy to use - I never had to pick up a manual to get rolling with it. You don't always have the quickest route but you'll get there. On a small few occassions, it was totally wrong but so rare. I love the other features like restaurant listings, wineries, shopping, etc. Want a car wash, ask where, want Italian, ask where, need gas, ask where etc. It's my best buy all year.

Great while it lasted...
Pros: It's user friendly, very accurate, somewhat decent signal most of the time, and I never got lost with it.
Cons: After just over a year, the device died for no apparant reason. Garmin's manufacturer warranty only covers their products for up to one year. If I wanted to send it in for a repair, even a simple battery change, it would cost $225 (you can look it up on their website)! It was absurd to think I would pay that much when for just a little more I could just buy a new one.
Other Thoughts: This is a very expensive device, and I feel like I was conned out of my money by these dirtbags. I've seen longer warranties on a freaking CD player. Garmin needs longer warranties on their products and reasonable fees for their "support".

Great navigation - mp3 player shines
Pros: I read a previous review that indicated that the mp3 player isn't very good. I disagree completely. I run it through my Sony Car Stereo and it sounds great (iPod quality anyway). Standing alone, it's pretty poor but what would you expect. The other features are great, adding the custom POI's and other features make it a spectacular value.
Cons: Occasionally directions are slightly off, but very rarely (usually might have the side of the street confused).
Other Thoughts: I think overall it's a great value. I was looking at the MIO as well but went with the Nuvi 350 because I felt it was more reliable and Garmin was the better company. I bought this for a trip to Cape Cod and would have been lost without it.

Great GPS
Pros: User friendly gps easy to find nearest restaurant or any place that you can spell out, and it's in a porable size. I can even fit this gps into my cannon sd600 camera casea.
Cons: sometimes it takes 1~3 min. to received signals in some areas once it's on.
Other Thoughts: Great product, just wish it comes with MSN traffic / movie time / gas price server .... ha .... still it's very nice protable gps without msn service.

Pros: Excellent voice prompts, easy to use, MP3 player works great with cassette adaptor.
Cons: Hard to see screen at times in direct sunlight
Other Thoughts: The MP3 player works great with the SD card and a cassette adaptor plugged into my tape player. You can listen to music and then when the voice prompted directions are issued they come over the radio-cassette speakers.

Nuvi 350 review
Pros: This unit is very good cand comparable to some TomTom products. We have tried both, and as a beginning unit, is priced about right, and offers a good base set of standard features. I would highly recommend to anyone getting into it for ease of use. I had many things set up without having to delve into a manual. Very good 1st or 2nd unit
Cons: .Not really cons, but it would be nice at this price range to have a few more features of the more expensive units available. But then again, to get into the GPS world, I bought it for ease of use... not only by myself, but my wife and kids!! It just works.
Other Thoughts: As a first or second time user of a GPS unit, this works very well. It does have some issues with mapping smaller towns (we live in Iowa, and where I work - Middle Amana is not a listed town) and getting instructions to where I work are incorrect, however, it got us out of an unknown to us town in Missouri, and even after making 3 wrong turns, still managed to guide us properly to our destination. It's not perfect, but pretty close. A good buy. Newegg also delivered it right as usual.

Other Thoughts: We recently drove about 1000 miles round trip. Garmin worked great. Good directions, accurate maps, POI and restaurant information. This was the first trip when I did not fight with my wife about directions (she likes to ask at gas stations for direction!!). Best purchase for year 2007.

nice little system
Pros: Size, ease of mounting, aesthetics, touch screen menu interface, day/night sensing. Precise SirfSTAR III chipset.
Cons: -Missing some major POIS which should be in there, but are not.
Other Thoughts: Wanted to get a replacement for my Dell Axim PDA w/tomtom Navigator 6 due to its lack of aesthetics when mounted in my car (size, too many wires, too many components, etc). This GPS system is compact, aesthetically pleasing, and performs well. I noticed that it was lacking in some very obvious POIs. Tried to look for target somewhere in the middle of PA, and this did not give me the closest one. For me, thats not a big deal for me since I have google maps on my cell phone as a backup. Overall I'm happy with this device.

Life-altering.
Pros: Accuracy, ease of use, excellent touchscreen UI, great physical design and size.
Cons: Price...gps units are still far more expensive than they need to be in my opinion but they have come down significantly.
Other Thoughts: I had this unit for nearly a year and accidentally left it in a hotel room, and ordered the replacement the following week. I thought I could live without it, but nope.
If you're cardinally/directionally illiterate sort-of-speak (like me) gps units are a godsend. I travel a lot and just toss it in the suitcase and never worry about pre-planning and printing maps like I used to. I had been so happy with this particular unit I didn't even consider another model, let alone another brand when buying a replacement. It has never let me down. It may sound corny, but to me, the device is every bit as lifestyle altering as a cell phone. I'll never be without one the remainder of my life. To *never* worry about getting lost or finding locations is remarkably liberating. Kudos to Garmin.

Pros: This was my first experience with a unit like this. Easy to use right out of the box. It worked well and got me from the the JFK airport through the Lincoln Tunnel and beyond. It work great in New York City and great in the rural areas as well. I recommendend it.
Cons: The unit that holds it to the windshield only works for about 5 miles then it falls off.

Pros: For the price this unit is great. Voice prompts, nice maps, clear screen. Has mp3 player and nice additional features. Calculation is fast and recalculation also. Easy to use.. Retails for 499 at local Stores
Cons: As with many GPS units, It isnt perfect. It will always get you to your destination but sometimes wont get you thre the fastest way.
Other Thoughts: Best deal on the unit from Newegg.

Great GPS
Pros: Worked great, less features then both of my Lawrance units but directions were always precise.
Cons: Attracts thieves, window was smashed and unit was stolen about 2 months after purchase in a good neighborhood. They were too stupid to steal the money in the ashtray, amps and kenwood receiver though.

Not Bad
Pros: Keeps me and the wife from fighting when we get lost. Works great by highway areas.
Cons: Sends you up dead ends every once in awhile. Takes strange routes at times.
Other Thoughts: If you get lost alot this thing is worth buying.

Pros: It is great. I have used it driving to Florida, and then on to Texas. I then returned home, to Maryland. It gives great directions.
Cons: every now and then it takes a little time, to find a satelite. The little suction cups is always falling.
Other Thoughts: I was in an accident this past Sat. My car was totaled. Yes, the little suction cup finally broke but, the garmin is still working!

Lifesaver
Pros: Very compact unit. Full touchscreen interface that's really easy to use. Text-to-speech is just a must have feature. Route recalculation is suprisingly fast. Favorite locations feature is really useful. Newegg price is the best by a huge margin.
Cons: Satellite acquisition takes really long sometimes; especially if I power the unit on when I am already on the move. Boot up time is a bit too slow for my liking. The unit can get confused sometimes when you are inside a mall parking lot for example. It will just say "Please drive through highlighted route" but its not clear which direction you should go in. Not a big deal. I just take one of the exits and go in some random direction. Nuvi will just recalculate real quick and I am on my way.
Other Thoughts: I travel once a month to the east coast (from the west) and this unit being so compact is really easy to carry around. It fits nicely next to my laptop. Its incredibly light weight. The antenna folding into the unit was a brilliant idea. If you are in the market for a GPS without too many bells and whistles this is an easy decision.

Pros: Size, text to voice reading road names, portable are all a plus. Bean bag mount works great for me and is a nice addition.
Cons: Choppy movement if you watch the screen. Only a few warnings as you approach a turn and enter it. Not able to buy additional voices like my older TomTom. I miss John Cleese. Not as easy for advance planning like the TomTom. POI's do not show on the map like TomTom.
Other Thoughts: I have an older TomTom Navigator 5 software on an older HP ipaq PDA. As much as it worked great - the screen was never bright enough and it was time for a new toy. After alot of time spent on reviews, etc it came down to the TOMTOM ONE or ONE XL and the Garmin nuvi 350. I choose the 350 for a few reasons; mapping was supposed to be better (NAVTEQ) for US but not sure it is all that better, size and portability, accessories like the bean bag mount (love it) and ease of use for my wife. I do miss the older TomTom which had better advanced planning capabilities, smoother screen movement and more advanced warnings as you approach a change in direction. If TomTom had text to voice capabilities to read roads, etc I would have chosen them again. Still – real happy with the Garmin since the real reason for a change was size, text to voice and ease of use for my wife.

poor perfmance
Pros: The voice guidance is a feature I wanted to have and is a good feature since you can keep your eyes on the road. The screen seems to be very clear and I like that it shows the distance to turn in the bottom right corner along with the estimated arrival time in the bottom left corner. It has quite a few settings that one can tweak but not one for driving only highway/interstate.
Cons: OK, here I go. I have tried both settings of fastest and shortest route but when we took a trip to Six Flags yesterday, the only way it ever wanted to take me was by back road highway and city. It really ticks me off that I spent this much money and it will not allow me to only drive on the Interstate. Upon coming home I gave it anoter try and was coming down 294 South out of Chicago to 94 Expressway and all I wanted to find was the 88 tollway that would take us straight home, but unfortunately this thing kept telling me to take the next exit putting me thru the backroads and thru cities. Yes, I had switched to both fastest and to shortest route but achieved the same result. When I passed the exit it kept having to recalculate my route but would tell me to take the next exit. So as far as I am concerned, anybody want to buy a fancy GPS for a cheap price???
Other Thoughts: It might be possible that I am missing some software patch that is necessary so I am trying to see if I can give Garmin the benefit of the doubt so I am going to call their Customer Service to try and work this major bug out. As for now, I will be a loyal mapquest user.
Jim

I like
Pros: Ease of use. My first GPS so I have nothing to compare it to, but I would quickly purchase this again if I dropped it off a cliff accidently. As always, Newegg shipped it FAST.
Cons: The wall socket power supply was missing the necessary connecter for pluging it in (the prongs are appareently modular ... I suppose for european and US differences, and my unit shipped with no prongs)
Other Thoughts: I've had this for about 3 months now and am well pleased with this unit.

Outstanding product
Pros: small size, bright screen, has mp3 player. Good navigation software and maps. Has POI, food, lodging, gas and other locations. Comes with mount for windshield and dashboard with car charger.
Cons: Some times takes a while to acquire satellite signal. At times gives very short notice for the next turn. Little pricey.
Other Thoughts: Overall a good user friendly GPS with built in mp3 player. I use it with fm transmitter to listen to the music through the car stereo. It pauses music when prompting the next direction which is good.

Pros: Very accurate and fast satellite acquisition. The voice directions are very clear and concise. I like the detour button so you can find a different path to the next waypoint in case a road is blocked. My favorite feature of this GPS has to be the fact that while navigating or just viewing the map, you can touch the map screen and the GPS goes into a mode similar to that of Google maps: you can move the map around, zoom in and zoom out. If you find a location on the map you want to navigate to, you just select it, hit the green "go" button and it will take you there. This is extremely helpful if you want to go to an intersection or a park and you cannot remember the name of the streets or the name of the park. Pretty cool MP3 feature, though I doubt I'll ever use it.
Cons: A lot of people don't like how there isn't a volume wheel anywhere on the outside of the system. You have to hit the power button once and there is a slider for volume and contrast on the touch screen and the hit the power button again to return to the map. It's still easily accessible, but takes two extra steps to adjust the volume and return to the map. It's not really that big of a deal though.
Other Thoughts: just a note. One reviewer had said that the system kept directing him to the highway. This is because the highway was still, according the system, the fastest or shortest route (depending on what setting). Also, you can set the avoidances to include highways and also u-turns, tollroads, ferries, etc.
All together, this thing is amazing. If you are looking for an accurate, slim, easy-to-use GPS for under $400. This is it; hands down.

Nice Compact GPS
Pros: similar functionality compare to 660 but without FM tranmitter. Boot up time seems a bit slower than 660, but for the price, this is well designed portable GPS in all aspects.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: why the heck do I need my GPS to play mp3!!

Excellent system at an excellent price
Pros: * GPS navigation anywhere (don't need to use it in a car) * Search by business name / category (Can type in the name of a place [and won't need the address] and if it is in the directory, get directions that way) * Touch screen is VERY VERY accurate (much.. MUCH.. better than 2 other in-dash nav systems I've tried using) * Audio directions are concise, map is easy to read * Arrival Time listed * Easy software/map updating using USB and their Web Update program * Easy to mount in car, comes with adapter for car power * Inexpensive but a superior product
Seriously this thing is one of the cheapest nav systems available and it works better than some ludicrously expensive in-dash nav systems I've tried out. I especially like the search by business name / category and how amazingly accurate the touch screen is. An excellent nav system at an excellent price.
Cons: * None yet
Other Thoughts: Very satisfied with the nav system.

Goodbye Mapquest!
Pros: Before I purchased this GPS I did my own share of research. This little thing is amazing! I love the way a voice actually guides you on how to get to your final destination. I live in NYC and for the most part I really don't need it in the city. However just got back from a long 2 hour trip from CT. and this GPS got me there without a hitch. Mapquest directions were very clunky as compared with this unit. This thing even found a restaurant I was looking for in the middle of nowhere in CT. I just love using it even when I know how to get where I am going. It comes in handy when you need to get to a quick gas station or when searching for a store. Simple out the box setup.
Cons: External Antenna that flips out (no built in antenna) looks fragile. Re-Routing is not at it's best. Tried avoiding the highway due to delays, but unit wouldn't show me any other local roads. It kept redirecting me back to the highway even when I attempted to drive away from it on purpose. Doesn't come with an extensive instruction manual. It actually advises the user to visit support site and download .pdf manual.
Other Thoughts: It's a bit pricey, but in the long run it's worth it. Gps haven't caught on as much as they have in Europe, but for the most part Garmin is the #1 manufacturer with more shares of GPS in the US. Would of love to have had the weather and traffic options built in, but would of been more expensive.

A wise investment.
Pros: Small, powerful and intelligent.
Cons: Windshield suction device is too short, wish it can be extended. Ended up buying aportable friction mount from the Garmin store which cost $40.
Other Thoughts: I have used the poduct all over Chicago and I was really impressed on how fast it locks in to the destination. The screen is still visible under the bright sun and Polarized sunglasses which is really a plus for me. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a GPS.

Practically Perfect Nuvi
Pros: Nuvi is a very good navigator to have riding with you.
Simply lying on the seat next to you, no matter which vehicle you are in, it is most reassuring to hear that friendly voice which reminds you when to stay on the route selected, and tells you when to turn. And you don't even have to look at nuvi to hear it.
Being an accomplished map reader, I thought I would never have a need for one of these electronic travel assistants. But it selects the same route I would select from a map myself.
Cons: Once in a while pronounciation of a name goes goofy at first.
On a trip through Oregon, nuvi told me to take the exit to Can-onion-ville instead of Canyonville. But the 2nd exit warning nuvi pronounced it correctly. A quick study.
Other Thoughts: Some of the business addresses need to be updated. One listed local restaurant burned down 3 yrs ago. Others are no longer listed in the local telephone directory.

Pros: This product is very easy to use and configure. Updating the product was very simple. The design and size is great.
Cons: I initially bought this product to take with me on a road trip through N Calif. In San Francisco it had to constantly recalibrate my location. I think it had a lot to do with the streets being so close together. We were getting lost all over the place. On the road to Eureka, it worked fine. In Eureka, we were trying to find a Carl's Jr and it told us to go down one road where it would be .7 miles away, but after a turn, all of a sudden we were 9 miles away from the Carl's Jr. We decided to turn around and went in the other direction and found a Carl's less than a mile away in the opposite direction. From Eureka, we wanted to go back to Oakland where it called the 101 freeway the 580 freeway (not sure why).
Other Thoughts: I did a lot of research before buying and I thought this was the best product for the price point. I should have gone with another product.

Great GPS
Pros: After using this GPS I can honestly say it is one of th easiest pieces or equipment I have ever use. It does what it's supposed to and so much more! I have yet to have any problems with it. I would defiantly buy it again in a heartbeat (from newegg considering B35tBuy is selling it for $499.99 USD) can't beat the price for the product!
Cons: none thus far

Great Product
Pros: I got this as a gift for my Father's birthday thinking I would have to spend half the day hooking it up and downloading maps. To my surprise it worked out of the box without even being plugged in. Perfect for use as a hand held if so desired. Easy to use out of the box without even reading the instructions.
Cons: The Bracket to mount the device to the windshield. Its a bit tough to push the ball into the socket and I have to put so much force that I'm afraid I might crack the case.
Other Thoughts: GPS devices like this have really come down in price in recent months.

Garmin Nuvi
Pros: This works great. Compared to other Car Navigation units this has been one of the best I have used yet including the ones which come in a 2007 GMC Yukon Denali! Used the Garmin 680 and for the most part the only difference is a few less features and not a wide screen. Voice turning helps alot you dont even have to look at the Garmin it tells you usually clearly which direction to go.
Cons: Small Screen(but viewable). Not much to say bad.
Other Thoughts: I would get a Garmin again.

the "Must Have"
Pros: super easy to use, just plug it in and you are ready to go. Very accurate turns, love the voice prompt. I don't have to stare at it when I am driving in a residential area to see when I have to make a turn, it warns me that it is comming up. It will tell you about round a bouts and which exit you have to take to get out of it. It always gets me right close to the address that I am looking for, at most a stones throw away from it. I could go on and on, there are too many good things to list.
Cons: the only real issue I have is that it will sometimes freeze when I am entering in addresses. But I do work it pretty hard (usually about 30 addresses at a time). Wish it would give a little more of a "heads up" before letting you know that you have to turn. Sometimes I am right in the intersection when it tells me. These are very small gripes in comparison to what it does. Take them with a grain of salt. You will not be dissapointed.
Other Thoughts: I use the Nuvi everyday with my job. I work in telecommunications and drive all over the place. Most of the time I am very unfamiliar with the area that I am in. But with this little tool at my disposal I have no trouble finding where I need to go. I have even given people directions using it. I have saved a lot of gas also, I find that I make way less U-turns and am taking much shorter routes than when I was guided by a map book. Consiquently I am getting home earlier and get to spend a lot more time with my wife and two little ones. I would be lost again without it.

Awsome
Pros: Very cool device. Immediately impressed. Worked out of the box. Got numerous satalies acquisitions from inside the house. Have suction-cup bracket mounted on the center-console in vehicle with no problem getting satalite signals.
Cons: Did not come with a Mapsource City Navigator NT DVD. Really don't need it though. Can't use MSDN-Direct Traffic service with it.
Other Thoughts: Flip the GPS antenna down (turns off GPS receivers) and then you can simulate a route and watch it drive the programmed course. Current speed was within 1mi/hr of my vehicle speed. Recalculates routes very quickly.
Programmed a 700mi trip that I have driven many time over 20 years and it planned the route the exact same way, including around Washinton D.C..

major time saver! love it.
Pros: Works exactly as I expected, and has saved me countless U-turns and squinting at signs in the dark. Accessories are plentiful, battery holds a charge for about 2-3 hours. Knows all addresses I have put into it, knows where gas stations and restaurants are. It will get you where you need to go even if you miss your turn. No problems with signals in New York City. Windshield mount works perfectly.
Cons: Sometimes slow to pick up satellite signals. Doesn't get a signal indoors. The voice gets annoying on a long trip. Once it told me to take the Queens midtown tunnel (toll) instead of the (free) Queensboro bridge.
Other Thoughts: This is my first GPS besides rental cars. I've taken it from Chicago to NYC, and also on vacation to Hawaii. Its a MUST HAVE device for your life. I went to a wedding in Honolulu, and all the guests were telling me how lost they were all the time... Not me! Plus, who wants to waste precious vacation time getting lost and arguing about directions? Its taught me new ways to get around where I live, and helped me find a place to go swimming during a road trip! The voice gets a little annoying, but you can turn it down. I keep it on very low volume, and you can just look at the little distance to the next turn in the bottom right corner. That way you don't have to worry about switching 4 lanes in 2 seconds.

Great GPS
Pros: I bought this unit to replace a Navman F20 (Gave the Navman to my son). I understand that some brands (Navman included) are European based, so their maps are not as accurate as their U.S. counterparts. This has proven true with the Nuvi 350 vs. the Navman F20. The Nuvi finds all of the addresses that my Navman wouldn't, and many of them are in the POI database! Nice LOUD speaker, very bright screen! MP3 player!!! Also comes with everything you need. DC adaptor, AC adaptor, leather case,USB cable, window and dash mount. The AC adaptor, USB cable, and carry case were extra cost options with the Navman.
Cons: My Navman would consistantly pick up sat signals indoors... the Nuvi has a problem with that. Along the same lines, the Navman locked on much faster outdoors than the Nuvi does.
Other Thoughts: Although the Navman seems to have a more sensitive receiver than the Nuvi does (however, they both use the SirfStarIII chipset), it doesn't matter if it can't/won't find the addresses that you're looking for. I REALLY liked my Navman, but the Nuvi's maps are far superior... and mine came with the 2008 maps that are not even available for purchase yet!!

Great navigator, a few kinks to work out
Pros: I did a lot of research on different gps units, since this was going to be my first. After using for about a month now, I am well pleased with how it functions, especially the fast recalculation for those of us, that still miss the way :)
Cons: You have to remember that the product isn't perfect, a few kinks to work out like the timing of the voice prompts.
Other Thoughts: I gave this product a 4 basically because the voice timing could be better, but otherwise, this is a must have for any driver.

GREAT BUT...
Pros: Everything works accordingly to the reviews mentioned above..
BUT..
Cons: Doesn't come with SD card, so I can't friggin update. I don't understand why it didn't came with Garmin SD card. :BLEEP:
Other Thoughts: I will post another review once I get into the details with Nuvi 350

A good value for a solid GPS unit
Pros: Text to speech is a great feature and definitely helps. Fast and accurate.
Cons: Have to reset the unit after car charger is plugged in. No dedicated volume button.
Other Thoughts: I find it funny how one user review said there wasn't any feature that lets you find the nearest gas station. Well if he actually LOOKED carefuly at his GPS unit he would see there are two arrows in the bottom right corner that shows more options, with fuel being one of them. It finds the nearest gas without a problem. As far as some streets not being there...ummm DUH there are new streets going up DAILY. No GPS on the planet is going to have ALL streets at all times. That's why there is this wonderful thing called UPDATES! Overall a great unit and a good value.

acquiring satelite problem
Pros: Please review one of my previous posts
Cons: One problem I noticed is that when you cold start the product, it sometimes takes 2-5 mins to acquire satelite connectivity. Some other times the unit just doesnt aquire any connections but the problem is solved if you turn off and turn onn again (a couple of times)
Other Thoughts: At first I thought it was something wrong with my particular product, but after some research found many website forums on the same issue. This problem is known by Garmin but they are denying it but are trying to fix it (go figure..) Just Google "slow satelite acquiring Nuvi 350" to find more discussions on this issue. Other than that this is a great gps unit.

Top Notch GPS
Pros: Device has a great display, great voice prompting, and route mapping. Took a routine trip with my wife and actually got us there faster and home faster using the new routes!!
Cons: Some of the street names were not updated, and without the traffic feature, could not tell where construction was. One stop for gas and the recalculate of the maps said we should go in the opposite direction.
Other Thoughts: Would be nice to have a built in Gas or Restaraunt button that would automatically bring up the nearest gas stations or food places so you could pick from the list. Otherwise a great unit that I recommend to all who are looking into it! Thanks Newegg!!

Pros: I just got my 350 recently and I am truly amazed by the accuracy of the Navigator...and it is so simple to use!!
Great!!
Cons: I wish it'd be bigger...but it's OK.
It is NOT CHEAP...but compared to other Models and brands it's worth it.

Thanks Newegg!
Pros: Ordered on Saturday and delivered on Tuesday with standard UPS ground shipping. Great price!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Did a lot of research for a GPS in my price range and would read street names. The Nuvi fit the bill. Previously, I would lug my laptop loaded with Delorme and MS Streets and Trips with a USB receiver. What a pain! and bulk. Excellent GPS product and great service, selection and price. Thanks Newegg!

Great Unit
Pros: Does everything you need for a great price. Higher models have blue tooth, not really needed. This model will say street names, and it's portable. I'd rate this the perfect sweet spot for price and function.
Cons: No way for the end user to replace the rechargeable battery.

Awesome unit
Pros: Text to speech-with regards to actually saying the street names. Very sleek, not bulky like other gps systems. Leather case is awesome.
Cons: None really noticed yet. Some of the addresses are just a little big off, but no big deal.
Other Thoughts: After a lot of research, I decided to buy this unit. Most of the reviewers and professional reviews rate this an excellent buy. My uncle bought the garmin C330 and this unit in comparison to this is like comparing cell phones of the 80's to the ones from now :)

It's the Best
Pros: It's the best. I used it to get some directions in my local town and realized some shortcuts to my regular route. Screen is very responsive and other added features are cool. As always, it was delivered before i expected and newegg had the best price.
Cons: NONE

Awesome GPS n more
Pros: Compact, fits nicely on your car dash or your palm. Excellent fast Satellite tracking, finds location in about 5 seconds and can even pickup SAT indoors(well sometimes). Loaded with useful features such as points of interest and security options. Comes with the essentials, leather case, PC adapter, car adapter, suction mount for car and soo on definitly worth the reasonable price.
Cons: I would suggest downloading the latest firmware and map updates which can be found on the Garmin website.
Other Thoughts: The manual has to be downloaded but thats not a problem in my book, its the 21st century doesn't hurt to save a tree or 2. Great product that has a name lookup in points of interest that aided in finding a common super center retailer.

Great Buy
Pros: Bought a few of these for business. Saves a ton of time and the text to speech feature is nice. I've used more expensive models of this brand and this seems to do just the same as with accuracy.
Cons: None really, easy interface, nice battery life, clear sound...couldn't be happier
Other Thoughts: Very satisfied with my buy and at the price i paid for them. Thanks NewEgg

Gamin Nuvi 350
Pros: Great price, very easy to use and setup, nice screen, compact size
Cons: This unit does not include a manual only a quick reference, guide, the manaul can be downloaded from the garmin website, like other reviewers had stated when i used this device near my residence, it directed me to go the longer way and not the more direct way. Other than that a great device.
Other Thoughts: If you dont like to be bothered to stop and ask directions then this device is for you. The text to speech function is excellent and it recalculates very quickly in case you miss a turn. Newegg gives you the best price and the fastest shipping.

Awesome!
Pros: Complete package. Says "Turn right on Market Street" (Not just "turn in 300 feet"). Fits in pocket (no bubble back shape). Plays MP3 (handy if in a rent-a-car with no ipod jack). Cool currency converter & utilities. Neat speaking dictionary (optional)
Cons: At first, I thought the screen might be too small and I was tempted to get one with a bigger screen. However, I discovered that anything bigger would be a big distraction. Because it speaks street names, the screen size isn't that important.
Other Thoughts: If you want it to say street names, make sure to pick a voice which ends in TTS (text to speech).

Most Excellent -- Buy it!
Pros: This little GPS Nav unit is simply the best. Aquires satellite fairly quickly and calculates route mad fast. The directed route can be iffy sometimes but it definitely will get you to where you need to go no mater what obstacles you might come across. Great screen size, not to big but not to small. Awesome anti glare and able to zoom in and out for a better look of your route. Does a great job finding those new places you always wanted to go check out but where never brave enough to drive to.
Cons: The sound can be a bit tingy once bumped up to full loudness but that's to be expected. For whatever reason, this GPS unit likes to take us down wierd roads but meh, nothing serious.
Other Thoughts: For all of you who were saying that this unit doesn't give you enough warning ahead of time before a turn must be driving like 100 mph. Unless if they fixed the problem in the 4.6 update, I honestly think that this GPS gives you plenty of warning ahead of time. It gives you 3 warnings, once at .08 miles, again at .04 and lastly another one at .02 miles. Plenty of time. I understand the price can be somewhat nerve racking but honestly, Newegg has a great deal here. To top it al off, I ordered this on a Wednesday, got it on Thursday even though I paid for 3 day shipping. I live on the east coast so it's pretty impressive. You rock Newegg! I highly recommend this little GPS for you people who really want to discover new roads you haven't been down on yet. Great adventure tool!

Pros: Fast, simple and efficient. Newegg has good price. Accessories to buy: - External antena GA 27C (magnetic mount on car roof is really good for signal reception)
Cons: Screen could be larger. Accessories not to buy: - Traffic receivers (it does not help, not really) - Garmin travel guides (good idea, but out-of-date and limited coverage) - Garmin SaversGuide (you get card, people do not honor card discounts)
Other Thoughts: There are more advanced models (360 and 370) with additional usesless features. Overall: Not the best GPS, but very good for money.

NICE UNIT
Pros: EXCELENT UNIT FOR THE PRICE. IT GETS YOU WHERE YOU WANT TO GO. AND THE SOFTWARE CAN BE UPGRADED ON YOUR COMPUTER.
Cons: COULD USE A DIFFERENT MOUNTING SYSTEM.
Other Thoughts: I JUST UP GRADED TO A GARMIN 680 WHICH IS REALLY FANTASTIC. EXPENSIVE BUT I REALLY LIKE IT BETTER THAN THE 350.

works well
Pros: large bright screen.
Comes with a LOT of charging options: AC power, Car cigarette lighter, and USB.
Cons: when you get down to which side of the street the house its on, its 50/50. Thats the only caveat seen so far.
Other Thoughts: Bought one for my dad a short while ago on another site. Recently ordered a second for my grandparents. Price was similar.

The Best GPS
Pros: This is the best GPS that I ever own. I did not get it from Newegg. I got mine at walmart.com for $398. But this GPS, for the price, bets them all. It's a must have. I work in the oil field and does it get me where I need togo. Turn by turn's. It tell's you the time when you will get there. If you take the worrg turn. It will give you the other best way to get there. And it's right on the money to were you are at and going. It tell's you the name of the street. It has a MP3 player in it. Very cool. Also has a Picture Viewer. Thats cool too.
Cons: I can't think of any cons at this time. It's just the best GPS that I seen for the price.
Other Thoughts: It has lots of other thing's to find like Food, Lodging, Fuel, + 10 other's cool locations. You will love it. + it give's you Phone number's to the location's so you can call them before getting ther. So you don't have to look it up in the phone book.

Best Price Anywhere!
Pros: The 350 is out of stock on Newegg for the obvious reasons -- price/performance can't be beat. No need to google maps anymore. I save my roadtrip destinations into favorites and arrive on target every time. Hundreds more elsewhere. Ver. 9 Navigator due in June. Free update. This unit ships with 8. Fantastic support from Garmin.
Cons: Missed a destination by 2 blocks on one occasion. I crashed the unit by pressing detour a few times after missing a few turns. Learned to let the unit recalculate. All is fine. I do pack a hard-copy road map for backup on the long trips. Navigator 9 should improve upon 8 which will prove out of date.
Other Thoughts: I almost bought the 350 at REI for $599. Thank the heavens I dropped by Newegg. Rock solid retail box. Buy with confidence. No worries.

nuvi Vs. I5
Pros: I like the touch screen settings. It is a lot faster to make inputs than with the thumb wheel on the I5. The voice is loud and clear. (I use the Australian woman). She announces the names of the streets (the I5 does not) Route 66 is pronounced Are Tee six six. I've always gotten where I'm going - even out of state.
Cons: The Nuvi is annoyingly late giving warnings of road exits. I sometimes needed to pull over three lanes or miss my exit entirely because of the last seconds warning. Side by side with other brand, the Nuvi performed poorer in this regard. I originally had it set to its default - which must have been shortest route. It took my colleagues and me through some unsavory neighborhoods in D.C. and VA Sometimes seems to have me driving in circles. Very slow turn-on and download of maps.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I love these units. The Nuvi is a little disappointing considering it was an "upgrade" from my I5. The I5 seemed to do a better job at early warning of exits. Some of the I5 routes also seemed more direct. One time following the Nuvi with the I5 also turned on, I wound up on a narrow residential street with a dirt road exit (I thought it was a driveway at first) only to get me back to where the I5 would have taken me directly on paved roads. I'm only giving it 3 stars because of its late and infrequent warnings.

Have a map handy
Pros: Good to track your travel time and speed if your speedometer is broken.
Cons: Recently I took a trip from Wyoming to West Texas and the unit took be on back roads and dead ends. You will need a map to make sure you are not taken via a route that may require a 4x4. The mapping must be for interstate and city travel. Good buy if the unit is $xxx or less.

No more excuses left
Pros: I've only had this thing a couple of days, but I have utilized a wide variety of GPS units for boating, hiking and driving. This is by far the best of the breed ... fast satellite acquisition, outstanding positional accuracy, great speaker volume with clear voice instructions, bright display that autodims at sunset...I could go on and on. Bottom line, it is a great little device.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: Now that the price is several hundred dollars lower than early last year, all of the non-buying excuses are gone. Spend the money and enjoy! Also, I recommend getting the portable friction mount (Garmin# 010-10908-00)if suction cups on your windshield just aren't your thing. It works well and is easily portable.

Supreme GPS
Pros: I have used mine for more than a year now....got it when it first came out. Paid much more. This unit is amazing! Perfect to business trips to new cities. Hop in the rental car and drive all over town. Excellent routing, spoken guidance, small pocket size, rock solid mount for car windshield. Look at the nuvi 380? to include Bluetooth for phone integration and free Euro maps.
Cons: None.

Quality Matters
Pros: First off I did not buy this product at new egg. I one week ago paid 70 dollars more...this is the best price on the internet. This unit is fast and accurate. The tom tom is cheap but recalculates slowly and takes a lot of bad routes....this unit is quality. Its also nice to be able to have all US maps on the unit without loading and unloading regions like the tom tom one...spend the extra hundred and get this
Cons: About a 20 second boot up to acquire satelites the first time its loaded for the day...after that it pretty much aquires instantly the rest of the day
Other Thoughts: Neweggs quick shipping...great price. Buy it here and feel good about the purchase

Better than I expected!
Pros: This thing is great. Does everything it says and more. Street by street accuracy, plenty of time for turns, quick recalculations (for when you drive the route you chose instead of the GPS)and clear color display. I can drive anywhere and never ask for directions!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: This is my second Garmin product and impressed with how well they work.

Great product
Pros: Wallet sized, speaks turn by turn directions w/ street names
Cons: Wish accessories were cheaper
Other Thoughts: Price is great (it's half the price it was 6 months ago) and the product works perfectly. Even the projected arrival time is accurate. We have the 350 in two different cars and works great. I almost sprung for a mavigation system for the new car I just bought. I'm glad I didn't; this is a much better option.

Reasonable, watch out for heat prostration
Pros: Lots of fun. Usually gets you there, and it's comforting to have.
Cons: If you know where you're going, the directions are sometimes really weird: "Why would it send me that way?" Mine left me stranded in the middle of San Diego, seemingly with heat prostration; in the evening it was fine again. That was not a good time to let me down.
Other Thoughts: I suppose this is as good as it gets now. I hope these things will improve.

GREAT BUY!!!
Pros: very slim, very light weight, no difficulty in viewing screen, very clear directions, street name announcement is a very nice feature, SD card slot is a very nice feature. overall product seems very well built, speaker is loud and clear.
Cons: in incliment weather it can take up to a minute to aquire sattelites. when in a really busy metropolitan area, sometimes it loses vehicle aquisition under bridges and such (this is to be expected on any unit)
Other Thoughts: i had the pleasure of being able to demo this unit over the New Years weekend because my friend bought the same one a couple weeks ago and we went on a trip together. overall, the unit is well worth the money paid. it works well in an overcast sky and in the rain. haven't used it in snow, but then again, i don't think i will be going anywhere in the snow where i will need to use it so... it doubles as an MP3 player, but i'm not sure how often i will use it as that. i need to play around with it some more, but the SD card slot alows for a lot of expandability. the touch screen is very accurate, and programming destinations is simple like on a 3rd grade level simple. definately a great buy considering big chain electronic retailers sell this same unit at $600.00 +. if you want a GPS this is it!!!

Buy it, you won't regret it.
Pros: This is an awesome unit. Got one for Xmas and tried it out driving to see the family. Worked perfectly. Has a mini usb charging port, so I ordered the adapter for my cell phone stand to tie it in to the same power. The mp3 player is pretty good, and since I already have an audio in on my stereo, can hook right in.
Cons: Built in speaker is a bit tinny at high volume, but is perfect otherwise.
Other Thoughts: I like the built in battery, it's better than the AAA ones that older models used. The mp3 player, picture viewer, and regular SD slot will come in handy as well. I drag and dropped several songs, and a lot of photos to a 1 gig card, and it found them with no problems.

A+ Product
Pros: This thing is small! IT doesn't take up too much space in my windshield, but doesn't skimp on the features either. I didn't consider the size when buying it, but anything larger would seriously obstruct my view - it's perfect for small cars. Text-To-Speech is an awesome feature. The software is easy to upgrade and there's plenty of room to add more. The list of options that can be added to this unit is impressive. The interface is incredibly intuitive and easy to use. I just turned it on and started navigating. The software in general is top notch - and coming from a software developer that's no small praise.
Cons: The only real complaint I have so far is that there is no low-battery warning when the unit is navigating. It just shuts off the screen without warning when the battery gets down to a certain percentage. The nice thing is it doesn't stop navigating immediately, though. It leaves enough battery power to give you time to dig the charger out of the glove box and plug it in before it loses power completely. The speaker can get a tad crackly at high volumes. The instructions are a little sparse, but like I said, you hardly need them. The extra addons are not cheap. The sleek design looks out of place in my 10 year old junker; I'm going to have to buy a new car to match the styling :).
Other Thoughts: This is my first GPS unit, and I am very pleased with the purchase. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone.

Pros: The Best device out.As far as these people said they would like more time to turn. First, thing change setting.2nd that number in the bottom right hand corner tells you when to turn. It's worth every penny.I bought one and the company I work for bought seven.
Cons: A little hard to hear with the window down.

pretty good
Pros: Small form factor, very portable. Nice touchscreen interface, vast database of points of interest, screen is very bright. Audible/MP3 feature is nice as well as the card slot - not sure if you can play any books off of it. Perfect for car trips and dash mountable for ease of use.
Cons: At this price it should have included bluetooth and traffic features. Mounting strip did not hold up very well and I need to replace it or velcro the mounting disc to the dash. The speaker on it is not so good, to hear it sometimes you have to turn it up load at which point the sound is awful. Great for audiobooks, but I wouldn't bother with music. Occasionally you'll be notified of a turn a little too late which is a real pain on a major highway. Not useful outside of driving.
Other Thoughts: It's a great little device and it has made trips from Florida to Colorado very easy to do with zero planning ahead. I'm getting a BlackBerry with GPS & Turn by Turn so if that thing does all this does, I'm selling the nuvi, it's great but still a very single-tasking unit at a very high price.

Buy this GPS
Pros: I really like this GPS. It’s very easy to use, bright display, flat shape; voice is loud enough, good navigation directions, easy to see everything on the screen. You can use display in day or night mode. It takes some time to start this GPS, but once it’s on, you have no problem to locate satellite signal. A buttons on display are big enough to touch, but what I really like about this GPS that it’s small enough to put it in your pocket and take it anywhere. So you don’t have to leave it in your car. I received this GPS very fast, thank you NewEgg and your customer service.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: It would be nice if you can choose a different voice. I prefer to have case for this GPS which I can hag up on my belt. If this GPS gives you more distance before turn it would be nice too.

Just Perfect!!!
Pros: Traded in my street pilot III+ when I saw this and read the reviews. Text to speech is great. Very fast satillite acq and calc of route. No more annoying "Off-Route" - just "recalculating. Awesome screen resolution and the 3d view is great. Good sound. MP3 player is very nice - bought a cheap 2GB SD card and now have my ipod killer! Device switches transparently from car to walking. Finally a suction cup mount with the power adapter attached to the mount - not device. I kept breaking my street pilot power cord. Nice touch with the multiple Englidh accent voices. Choose your babe.
Cons: Minor - sometimes too much volume and the speakers crackle a bit. No music play lists or sort feature for MP3 (would be nice add). Just a hair quicker on the turn annoucements would be nice also.
Other Thoughts: Can't wait to see the nuvi 360 w/bluetooth wireless calling. Just add a few simple apps - word, excel, maybe some email..... NewEgg is still the best !!! This is so portable - just amazing device

WOW!!!!!!
Pros: With out a doubt, the BEST traveling toy on the market today. Locks onto multiple sat within seconds. Finds your destination within seconds. I just got back to Oregon on a trip to a small fishing community in Canada on Vancuver Island which had to be gotten to only by ferry. Small back roads to the fishing community of Port Renfrew. Every step of the way was PERFECT!!!! Gas stations where they were supposed to be, even had a battery go on in the truck....got me quickly to an automotive store within about 1 min. Wish I had bought one years ago. If your looking for a GPS, It is worth every penny your going to spend on this state of the art system. You won't be disapointed.
Cons: Battery life less that advertised. Expected the 8 hours and got about 3.
Other Thoughts: MP3 Player - Curency converter- Calculater - Book reader are all great assetts.

Gadget Heaven!
Pros: light tiny quick satellite acquisition holds onto birds like a rabid pitbull figures new routes within seconds
Cons: ?can we add apps to it somehow?
Other Thoughts: I've waited a long long time for the perfect handheld GPS. This is it. Has every feature you might want, and the TTS Australian girl voice is downright awesome! We need to hack this thing!
