Mixed emotions...
Pros: My wife/parents/in-laws can finally use the home theater system without a two hour tutorial. Incredibly easy to use, and programming via USB is killer. "Smart state" functions allow you to control your devices even if they don't have discrete on/off or input source commands. It's a great form-factor for a Tivo/DVR remote replacement.
Cons: 1) My remote was replaced once, and I've had to replace the rubber keypad as well. And now the device is "acting up". I expected better from such a (relatively) expensive device. 2) Not macro-based like other remotes, so though it's "smart", it's actually quite limited to what THEY want you to do, not what you might actually want to do. 3)Because of the "smart state" functions, this one remote has to be the only device used to control your setup. You can't use a second remote or the front panel controls to turn your devices on/off, otherwise it'll lose sync (though the "help" button is an easy way to re-sync).
Other Thoughts: If I didn't have so many hardware problems, I could overlook some of the other annoyances. I only wish they'd open up the remote to allow advanced users to hack it into submission. If mine totally died, the only reason I'd buy another is because there's nothing better yet, and that's a pretty sad reason to be a repeat customer. It pains me when a product is "so close, yet so far" to what I want.

One for all
Pros: Being able to set up everything and then program the remote. The on-line database seems to have just about every product ever made. Change face plate colors. Wife loves being able to punch one button to either watch TIVO, a DVD, or listen to CD.
Cons: That blasted ring. It is awkward to use. Would like to have channel and volume buttons closer to top. But, remote is smaller than most, like it ws designed for smaller hands (women).
Other Thoughts: I've had programable remotes before and this one seems to be easier by doing it all on-line. One feature I've NEVER had before is the one-button macro that will turn all the correct components on but will also turn them all back off. Unit was stolen in a home burglary and I'm getting another one to replace it.

I like it
Pros: Easy to program. Easy to customize. If my wife could figure it out, anyone can figure it out. Easy to find "glow" button.
Cons: Couldn't get it to work with my digital satellite box.
Other Thoughts: I couldn't get it to work properly with my satellite box, but I think it has more to do with the box and less to do with the remote control. I even manually programmed the Harmony with the satellite remote with no luck. Oh well, two remotes is better than 5 and my coffee table is much less cluttered. It was very easy to program and I had a lot of fun customizing it. This is my first universal remote and I like it so much, it will be a permanent fixture for my home entertainment system.

Nearly flawless
Pros: This remote is the best universal remote I have ever used. Setup is extremely simple using the web guide and the few problems that I did encounter were easily fixed. It controls all my components as expected and makes their use much simpler.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I have used a Phillips for the past two years and this remote is much simpler and easier to program. I was very impressed that my receiver and cd player were in the database as they are not common products. I highly recommed thid remote!

Best Universal Remote but the Customer Service is even better
Pros: With the USB connection and online setup it's a real straightforward process. The best part is when you run into problems you can email or call and the techs can set it up for you. After they are done, just plug in your remote and hit update! Problem solved.
Cons: After heavy use some button graphics rub off. If you use the glow function too much the battery life is real short.
Other Thoughts: I recently had a problem with a spot on my LCD screen caused by my cats knocking the remote across the room on a hard floor. It was still under warranty so I called Logitech support. Within minutes they gave me an RMA number and get this; they sent me the new remote before I had to send back the old one! No hassles at all. Within a week I had a brand new remote and all I had to do to program it was plug in the usb cable, login and hit update. Minutes later I was in remote control heaven. The best customer service ever!

Greatest Remote Yet!
Pros: It literally works with all of my equipment, even an odd Sony that nothing else would talk too. Easy PC interface for modifying it to do just what I want. Even my girlfriend likes it!
Cons: None

Solid Remote
Pros: Highly Configurable PC Programmable Solid Construction Backlit
Cons: Web based programming Setup slow because of website response Channel/Vol/Number keys a bit too low
Other Thoughts: This is a great remote. About the only complaints I have are the ridiculous web based software. It should be PC based and not require web access to program a remote. Also I think the Channel/Vol and number keys should be a bit higher up on the remote and I'd like to see the backlight button have a different feel than the rest so I can ID it by feel in the dark.
Otherwise, this remote is built solid, and can handle everything a throw at it. It's definitely a good choice.

AWSOME
Pros: VERY configurable and can learn ANY commands. Sometimes has MORE button commands than what the factory remote for the units come with.
Cons: Wish the website based software was done on local computer for speedier simple changes, but this con is in no way a "Dont buy" factor.
Other Thoughts: Those "I want max configurability" geeks out there will love this remote. Those "I kinda know how to use my computer" people, stear clear. Simple enough to configure, but anyone who isnt at ALL computer savy may want to look elsewhere.

Nice product
Pros: It controls all of my devices and the setup is not too complicated. The softkey functionatlity is nice and expected from a high-dollar product.
Cons: The buton layout seems a little awkward. The number buttons being on the bottom of the remote make them difficult to use without contorting your fingers around. It would also be nice to be able to assign buttons/softkeys to multiple step processes (e.g. press a button to do several things at once). The activity buttons do this, but it would nice to be able to do it with normal buttons as well.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I am very happy to be rid of three remotes and be able to just use one. It can be a little tricky to get the remote just how you want it, especially if your TV has its nuances (I have a Syntax LCD)... but it is working fine for me

Easy to use. Excellent WAF
Pros: The first time programming this can be a tedious task. But after all the macros are programmed, my wife loves it! She's very intimidated by my Pronto 7000, so with this remote, she can easily switch from one source (TV, Tivo, DVD, etc) to another.
Cons: Im used to programming my Pronto and feel that the Harmony's website is a bit cumbersome. Its also slow to response to my clicks. Harmony need to create something where programming is done locally.
Other Thoughts: Once everything is all setup, this definately got the Wife Appriciation Factor.

It makes life easy, brings families together, and cleans up clutter
Pros: This remote control is amazing. From opening the box, installing the drivers, updating the firmware on the remote, updating the sofware on the computer to programming the remote I was done in under 30 minutes. The software/webpage is exceedingly easy to use. Operates my yamaha receiver, sceptre 37" LCD, and Sony DVD Player and Scientific Atlanta DVR/HD Cable Box without a hitch.
Cons: $xxx remote came with dead batteries (duracell) :( - "laggy" response time compared to native remote for my DVR
Other Thoughts: This remote made my relationship with my girlfriend better, she now can operate everything very easily. TV on, receiver on, STB on for television viewing with 1 button accomplished in 2-3 seconds. My parents are coming to visit in a week and they have a VERY difficult time figuring out my home theater. IF they are able to use this remote (albeit with small buttons) without an issue, it truly will have passed the test.

Pros: I have a Hitachi HDTV, Onkyo reciever, dvd player, vcr,HDTV satellite receiver, OTA antenna rotator, ceiling fan, and ceiling lights all working with this remote. Took 30 minutes to program and it took all of my equipment on the first try. Was able to teach my age 7 daughter how to operate everything in less than 5 minutes.
Cons: Software needs to be available on disk instead of only on their website.
Other Thoughts: HDTV home theatre = $xxxx Remote with $xxrebate = $xx Wife & Kids using all devices with one remote = priceless

WOW! The 676 Rocks!
Pros: Internet setup was a breeze, layout and functionality is great. I upgraded from the 659 and like this one much better. I use this mostly for controlling my Tivo/satellite setup.
Cons: Needs a larger LCD screen so there can be more than just 6 selections available on one screen. It's a pain to need to hit two buttons for one function.

Excellent learning remote for the $
Pros: Decent layout, narrow, finger holds and rubberized molding feels very good in your hands, good weight, initial setup for all your equipment is exceptionally easy, codes for rare equipment available.
Cons: Absolutely hate the customization software, direction buttons as a ring often cause me to hit right when I want down, glow button hard to find in dark, all buttons being the same size makes running the DVD in low light too hard, you can't do final tweeks by programming the remote from the remote.
Other Thoughts: Overall I really like the remote. Once it is programmed and you get over the button size cons, this remote is excellent. Logitec has opted to not give you any software with the remote. All of your settings are on their web site so if they ever discontinue support, you will have no way to program the remote. The site is also very challenging for "after wizard" customization. I have programmed many macro/learning remotes and this is by far the least intuitive for non standard installs like MCE.

Balanced /w a couple rough edges
Pros: Good features vs. price
Awesome connectivity. Firmware is upgradable and the remote connects via USB to online device database.
Activity (DVD/TV/Tuner/CD) based buttons are a great idea.
Cons: Fairly expensive, no RF support, and worst of all:
Channel up/down buttons are poorly placed towards the base of the remote. My thumb is large and I have to hold the very end of the remote to watch tv...
Other Thoughts: Somewhat regret buying it due to channel up/down placement.

Put all o9ther remotes in the drawer
Pros: Wow, it's the first truely Universal Remote. It will emulate any remotes you have, I even got it to emulate a 14 year old Sansui Amplifier. One button turns everything on, sets the TV to HDMI, sets the Cable box on and the amp. If anything goes wrong, a simple help screen walks you through. My wife calls it a remote for Blondes.
Cons: None to complain about.

Everything but the ring
Pros: Easy to setup. I love their website. Works great with all of my "normal" devices (TV, DVD player, receiver, etc.). Works well enough with my computer's IR keyboard (it might be able to work better with more tweaking). Battery lasts a long time.
Cons: The ring style navigation is enough to make me not want to buy this remote again. Many times I meant to press one direction and got another on the ring.

Simply Amazing
Comments: This has to be the best remote ever made. Setup was simple (about 30 min from opening package to working remote). The on-line setup was easy, you only need the manufacturer and model numbers of your equipment. You can even use this if you have weird setups. Once all the info is downloaded you can test the remote to make sure it works, if it doesn't the remote will go through a simple help system that will attempt to correct the problem. (My receiver wasn’t going to the right input for the DVD player the help system solved the problem on the first try).

Pretty amazing
Comments: You wonder if you should believe the hype about products or not. Well, I sure think you should believe what you see about this remote. Took very little time to set up and it's working very well. A little more fine tuning to make me happy and that's it. What's aamazing to me is my wife and kids think it's so much better than the one I replaced. They ae thrilled to now be able to hit on button and play a CD. They had no clue how to do it with my old remote. And playing DVD-audios with the old remote, I could barely remember how to get it set up,, much less explain it to someone. Now, one button and listen!!
I've read some folks don't like the internet setup. I had no problems. A couple thing I wanted to do took a few minutes of looking around to figure out, but I had no need to call support for help. Downloading the finished program takes a little over a minute (cable internet).
And like always, you just can't beat Newegg's prices and service.

BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!!
Comments: This is absolutly amazing, I come home and press 1 button and I'm watching TV I have control of A/V Receiver for Vol. and Sat. Box for CH up/down. EVERY button works perfectly, if you have a device that requires a different button, you just add it in the easy online setup. My wife and everyone can control the DVD, Sat., Radio, CD Player, and DVR. With the push of a button. Newegg and Logitech ROCK!

Cursor key bad design.
Comments: The direction ring is a bad design. Hard to press. The up direction was bad on mine. Either it does not catch or if you press hard enough, it triggers left or right as well at the same time. Had to call tech support and had it replaced.

Just what I was looking for
Comments: This remote is great. With this remote you can truly put away your other remotes for your components. I like the feature where with just one button you can turn on every component that is needed to watch Satellite TV or watch a DVD. The setup of the remote is a lot easier than other universal remotes that I have tried.

Fantastic.
Comments: I really, really like this remote. No longer do I have to hear a word from next-of-kin when they go downstairs to watch a movie, play PSone (yes, what more do you need for Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo?) or watch TV.
The activity-based control makes great sense. The one thing that surprised me was the size--it is small!
Most importantly, it gets the Wife Seal of Approval (tm).

your wife will love you
Comments: if you have more than 4 remotes for all your stuff you really need this one. my wife loves it and i dont have to hear her complain anymore on how to set this to run that. push one button and everything comes on already set and ready to go.
