Poor image
Pros: good price, with audio.
Cons: poor image quality, really rainy, compare to the tv-ip100 and ip100N.
Other Thoughts: I changed out the lense to 2.8mm wide angle lense and the picture quality didn't change.

TrendNet Camera
Pros: Awesome for the price! We are using it for security monitoring on our front door and its working great.
Cons: Wish I could setup a hostname on the device so that we don't have to type the IP address into a browser.

Hard to set up
Pros: was on sale for $69 and free shipping.
Cons: you must have a static IP adress and some good understanding of network setup. there is no good step by step instructions on how to set up the camera, instructions are very vague.
Other Thoughts: make sure you have a static IP address, most people have a dynamic IP and you can't get to the online setup page.

Great Camera
Pros: Purchased this on a Newegg special.Wish I had purchased a few more at the price.Great camera, changed to a 2.8mm wide angle lens as suggested by another review.I can see almost all of my 24x30 shop. The audio is very sensitive and will easily pick up voices on the other side of the shop. The camera also works good in lower light conditions.I have blinds on both of my shop windows and they are closed. With the small amount of light that comes in during the day time the camera still is able to produce a viewable image.
Cons: Wish I had bought more for the price.

Faulty per TrendNet Tech Support
Pros: none
Cons: Called tech support ordered 5 of these. All matched serial numbers that were faulty. Network settings can not be saved.
Other Thoughts: Trying a samsung will post if successful.

Careful, some models unusable
Pros: pretty good for the price, when it works
Cons: I ordered 5 of these cameras from Newegg, four of which were defective. They would not accept any changes to the configuration. Every time they rebooted, they went to factory defaults! TrendNet technical support said there was a problem with certain models, and they have to be replaced. 4 out of the 5 had to be RMA'd.

Big, slow, low image quality
Pros: None
Cons: Big. slow, low image quality, proprietary interface. I write my own software that works with a wide range of IP cameras. First of all, the image quality is low and is very similar to that by another low-quality camera D-Link DCS-900. While other manufacturers use HTTP servers to feed MJPEG to the user as one stream, this one seems to use NetBIOS over IP. You can capture an images using HTTP get requests issued several times a second, but the performance is very low and often there are long delays.
Other Thoughts: If you need a great and cheap IP camera, go for Linksys WVC54GCA (not WVC54GC). I bought mine for $99.

not bad but no motion video over internet!
Pros: Picture quality is not bad. In contrast to other reviews mine did come with mounting bracket and camera looks quite nice. Setup was easy enough using web interface.
Cons: Alerts do not work for me because you need IPView software to be constantly running! There is no streaming video support over the internet!!!!
Other Thoughts: Setup was easy enough. Once configured I was sending 640x480 res pics at 25 fps to my FTP server so I could view the camera from anywhere with an internet connection (I travel a lot!). The result is NOT streaming video, but individual .JPEG files you can open one at a time to view. Streaming video support would have been nice. Other than that it works OK.

Good but work at it
Pros: Cameras do work good right out of the box, but you need to really play with the software to learn your way around.
Cons: Camera angle is not very good for small wide rooms, you can buy wide angle lenes for them.

Beware the Lens
Pros: Um... I don't think there is one anymore... maybe the price.
Cons: They changed the product! I now have 4 of these cameras. The first one I was happy with, so I bought three more. The first one came with the lens pictured on the box and in the photos. The image is sharp and crisp and overall produces a great image. Its model # is TV-IP201. The next 3 all have a terrible, cheap lens that produces a blurry image, a fisheyed image, and an overall lower quality image. Their model #'s are TV-IP201/A. The /A is what makes it horrible. I'd buy something else.
Other Thoughts: Not sure what they were thinking. It doesn't even look like the lens is switchable now to "fix" them.

Open right away
Pros: Picture quality is good to above average for a low quality camera. I have purchased two so far for my company.
Cons: The 2nd one, I bought, but didn't open the box to install for over 30 days. Newegg has a 30 day only return policy on this product. When I opened the box, the camera was completely crushed. Keep in mind that the external box was in perfect condition. This was packaged at the factory like this. Don't be like me and wait 30+ days to open it.
Other Thoughts: I may try to return to newegg anyway, but I've been in situations like this with them before, and they basically say "to bad".

IPView Pro and Trendnet
Pros: IpView Pro worked fine on Vista, the motion detect alerting is very fast and you can send to 2 email addresses for each alert. Even added my D-Link DCS-900 cam on the same IpView list and was able to view it fine at the same time as the TV-ip201 in mulitiple windows.
Cons: Overall this cam is more expensive than the others for what it can do. My gripe is that it can not motion detect without the ipview software forcing you to go up to the next model tv-ip301 series which cost more.
Other Thoughts: I called Trendnet Tech support to ask about the motion detect option, I was put on hold for 15mins and the guy came back with the quick answer of "no you need IPview running to get the alerts". When I asked for more details on some of the parameters that controlled the sensitivity of the motion detection, he put me on hold again and I gave up after 20mins and hung up. Getting Tech Support from Trendnet is quite challenging.

keep looking
Pros: the picture and sound pickup is relatively decent and certainly works well for my home monitoring needs.
Cons: I was able to see the camera's view over a web browser, and was also able to hear audio, but through the provided IP View Pro software the camera would not function correctly. Even with the camera added within the GUI of the software, IP View Pro could not display the camera's image.
Other Thoughts: first and foremost, the customer service at TrendNet is absolutely horrible! I could not get a tech support rep on the phone for nothing! Each time I called, I was immediately asked for my name and phone number and was told that I would be called back...and they couldn't give me a ETA on when I would receive the call, let alone offer any type of immediate technical support. After 3 or 4 calls, I finally received a return call and was given a quick brush off.. "try downloading the new software and see if that helps". the guy wouldn't even stay on the phone to see if that would help, when asked to do so. I asked about the firmware and the possibility of that having an effect, and the guy said that the software would automatically install the new firmware on the camera.. that is BS! the new software did NOT upload the new firmware, i guess that's why there is a feature within the software to point to a firmware file and then upload it!

Motion detect does not work standalone
Pros: 2nd review comment
Cons: The documentation is not clear enough for users to understand that the motion detect alerting requires the IPView SE/Pro program to be running and connected to the TV-IP201 camera. I called Tech Support and they confirmed that the webcam server will NOT sent the email alert without the help of the IPView program. So I'm going to return this internet camera.

NICE
Pros: Works great! plug and play, easy to use. Just plug it into your router/switch, and go!
Cons: distance. i called trendnet before i ordered the product, so i new what to expect, but anything more than about 30'-40' away is kinda blurry. also, the viewing angle leaves some to be desired @ just about 53 degrees.
Other Thoughts: I ordered 8 of these and 4 TV-IP100s, and hooked them up to a Trendnet TEG-S224 (24 port switch) and everything works fantastic. (on the 8 201s i switched the lenses to wide-angle) using that many cameras (while recording w/ 6 or more at a time) uses a full gig of RAM and 2.13 Dual Core 6400 processor w/ nothing else running, so if you're going to do much more than that, you NEED a designated system. But just 1 or 2 cameras work great on a MUCH slower system.
OVERALL A GREAT ITEM! WOULD (and have) RECOMMEND!

Good CAM but Docs stink!
Pros: Runs cooler than the TV-IP101W that I returned. The motion-detected emailed alert goes out very fast! The IPViewPro comes with this camera but with the previous TV-IP101 series it came with IPView Lite. I liked the Pro version better. Good frame rate at 25-30 fps if you use the lower compression modes.
Cons: Main body of the cam is 1/3 times larger than the TV-IP101's. The email alerts have to be sent in clear with your email acct ID & password so setup or use a different account email to protect yourself! The documentation basically stinks! Some of the settings warrant explaining what it does but Trendnet didn't go further than to explain it with one phrase or one word; which had no real good meaning. You may notice that other internet camera manufacturers have the same documentation problem; poorly written. Focus isn't automatic, you may have to view it remotely and then turn the focus lens ring to get a better picture.
Other Thoughts: This is my initial impression after taking 3 days to figure out how the email alerting worked. Used a sniffing tool to see what the cam was doing or not doing during my troubleshooting. So far this internet camera does the job. I'll add more info later if needed.

Sweet Cam
Pros: Product mounted and installed easily and quickly. The web interface is clean and easy to use. ActiveX and JAVA worked flawlessly. Video was clear and Audio sensitivity was insane. (You can hear people whispering... seriously)The fact that you can stream audio and/or video individually or together is nice. IPView software is very cool and easy to use, makes find cams on your network a breeze.
Cons: Using from a remote location with audio engaged is only as good as your connection. The video streams smoothly at any size or compression. I think more adaptive streaming audio would have made this a PERFECT device but i've found work arounds. Cameras field of vision is too narrow, although this seems to be the case with just about every ip cam you buy.
Other Thoughts: You can play with frame rates video compression/resolution and get audio and video to play together nice. There are other lenses you can attach to it to give it a better field of view and NIGHT VISION woohoo!

not as what manufacturer claim
Pros: Product works, good video except for one problem mentioned below.
Cons: According to trendnet claim this video does streamline broadcasting, but set it up and did not do it. So called Trendnet Support and staff said they used to do streamline video, but the company decided to remove the feature.
