Cheap in more than one way
Pros: Cheap.
Cons: Very cumbersome bulky battery that sticks out the back 1.5 inches. After 2 or 3 uses, started randomly restarting after 15 minutes of play. Luckily still in the warranty period so they replaced it.

Below Average, broke in less than a year
Pros: It was really cheap. Included a remote and all the cables I needed.
Cons: Got flakey right away then broke about 8 months after I bought it. Screen resolution is low so you will see pixels. Volume is ok but sound quality is low.
Other Thoughts: Once in a while it would just stop and give me a disk error. Finally it was doing this 2-5 minutes into any disk I was watching. It turned into junk too quickly for my money. Plus it was loud. It had some strange quirks like showing subtitles when they were turned off too. I will not by another to replace the first. I will spend a little more for a Sony or a Panasonic.

Random system resets
Pros: Cheap.
Cons: Randomly resets after playing 30-40 minutes. The screen goes blank and then the system restarts. Does not remember last play location.
Short battery life: 1.5 - 2 hours.

Fantastic Value
Pros: Great little product, especially for the price. Plays xvid and divx w/out a hitch. I've burned all kinds of xvids and divx videos; all of them have worked so for. Compatibility is great here. Speakers could be a little bit louder (on airplanes most the time) but it's great in the car. Two jacks for headphones so you can share. Video out is absolutely great for being stuck in a hotel. Having a SD and a USB port for flash memory is really cool too.
Cons: It's not a big fan of my cheap DVD-r's that i bought, so just use some name brand discs and you should be good in that regard. If you want something to view camera pictures looks somewhere else. When displaying jpegs it looks like it's in 256 color.
Other Thoughts: With the exception of being a little picky on DVD-R media and a terrible JPEG viewer. The pros outweight the cons byfar. I bought this product for watching movies and I can watch multiple seasons on one disc. If i could buy it again, i would.

poor DivX implementation
Pros: Plays DivX and XviD .avi files that are standard 4x3 dimensions relatively well from CD/DVD-ISO.
Probably an OK standard DVD player, but I can't comment there, as I bought this exclusively for it's DivX feature.
Cons: Media compatibility: It only read 2 out of 7 discs I tried in it. All 7 CDRs/DVDRs worked fine in my Initial player.
Video format: It didn't display 16x9 .avi files properly at all. With the LCD screen in 16x9 (full) mode, and the video output type set to any mode, including 16x9 mode, it (incorrectly) continues to add letterboxing around the video as if it were still in 4x3 display mode, resulting in a vertically compressed image.
USB speed: Couldn't read a VGA resolution XviD .avi file off a USB key or USB 2.5" HD fast enough to feed the video properly.
Other Thoughts: If you're looking for DivX / XviD compatiblity, get the Initial IDM-750DX, it rocks.

MP80B
Pros: Works great. Picture adjustment worked well getting my photos to look nice. Speakers are loud. works well with my memory cards. I can even attach a card reader to the USB port and use any type of flash cards with it.
Cons: I wish I could use other types of batteries when the battery packs drains. Other than that none.
