Works Great!
Pros: Cools very well, no need to drain.
Cons: None that I can find.
Other Thoughts: Used in our upstairs bedroom to save on AC costs. If you don't set it right it will go into an energy saving mode where it just recycles the air instead of blowing cold air all the time. Once you change the setting though it works great!

Portable energy hog
Pros: Price is great if you're buying an air conditioner. Too bad you all you get is a fan and part time cooler. This unit eats electricity like there's no tomorrow. Virtually zero cooling if you use it in a room larger than a small bedroom. Drips a storm too.
Cons: Too many things are off. It is just a bad buy.
Other Thoughts: This was a waste of time and money. I wish I did more research.

Great AC
Pros: cools well, very little draining, inexpensive and decent on energy
Cons: wish it had a lower fan setting
Other Thoughts: good bang for your buck! Own 2 of these now for almost 2 years. Keep the hose straight and unit away from the wall as so you don't inhibit intake. Also, turn it on before it gets too hot to reduce the amount of time your compressor is on and you'll be fine with this. Will do 400 ft but will take a while. 300 is best.

Excellent unit
Pros: Cools well. We use to suppliment cooling on upper floor during summer, and to reduce cost of running central air 'too cold' to cool bedroom. works like a charm. In 2 years, have had to empty water once. Very effective cooling at a good cost. No "window unit" look on the outside either. Newegg shipping was 'instant' as usual. thanks from a longtime customer.
Cons: Not completely quiet, but no moreso than any window unit.
Other Thoughts: Compared to a second zone AC, the cost is 1/10th the price, and keeps us frosty cold (we like 66 degrees in august to sleep well) at a low cost.

Pros: Easy setup. Does a decent job. Nice and cool if you're in front of it.
Cons: I have no idea how to install the filter. You're suppose to be able to remove the filter unit but the rails are bent so that you can't remove it. Not sure if this a defect or how the factory has made it.
Other Thoughts: Emptying water from the unit is a pain. Water will spill if you move it. The drain plug is so low, I had to roll it outdoors to drain it.

Very Disappointed
Pros: Self evap system seems to work fine. That's the only part that performs to specs.
Cons: Completely ineffective. It does not cool the room. I have 180 sqft studio apt, but the inside temp is the same as outside. There's less humidity, but it's still hot in the room.
Even at night, the temp doesn't drop unless I open the windows.
Other Thoughts: The exhaust pipe gets pretty hot, so it's basically a space heater as well. The result is a totally ineffective AC unit. You'll be happier with a window unit, especially considering the price.
I checked the manual several times to make sure I was setting it up right. Now I'm going to try to return it.
I cannot warn you strongly enough: Don't waste your money on this.

Not very satisfied
Pros: IF the temperature is below 80 it cools with ease.
Cons: The unit started getting my carpet wet. This was due to the fact that the self evap system works terrible. Instead of the water evaporating, it catches the fan and mists out the vents. My carpet is wet to the point that when I step on it water is between my toes. I am cooling 192 sq.ft with this unit and it the temperature outside is above 90 forget it, the unit can not keep up, I can have the unit set at 70 and it will never get below 80. I am returning this unit and buying a window unit.
Other Thoughts: Stay away, this unit is not worth it if you are going to be cooling a room and have outside temps above 80.

Product good but...
Pros: Unit works great, cools my 1 bedroom apt really good. You have to keep it on all day and all night using the automatic setting for best results.
Cons: After 2 weeks of usage, started to leak from the bottom, I drained the unit but still leaks, call their support line and they'll exchange it.
Other Thoughts: Follow the instruccions carefully on how to install the exhaust tube, for best results I put the tube as short and straight as I culd.

Great Purchase!
Pros: My bedroom has a large closet, large bathroom, and vaulted ceilings. This A/C cools the entire room very well. I had it as low as 69 degrees. To my surprise, it came with a remote even though it said it was not included. Installation was easy. Design seems sturdy.
Cons: Pretty expensive. I paid 319 + 62 shipping + 24 tax = 405. The window kit was average. I am putting the exhaust out through a sliding glass door, so I'm trying to build a piece of plexiglass that the pipe can connect to.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I am very happy with this machine. Very cold.

Works well
Pros: For the money, this thing works very well. I've got a bonus room over the garage (if you're not familiar with this arrangement, it makes for a VERY hot room) and I run 5 computers and a small fridge in it. I'm in GA and on a nice 70 degree day it was over 90 degrees in the room. I'd say this unit easily knocks 15 or more degrees off the day's high temp in the room. And if the room still feels too warm, just have the air flow directed to you for excellent spot cooling. Its got a pretty powerful fan, so the air flow has some reach.
Also, have had no issues with water filling up or anything like that. It just sits there and runs 24/7.
Cons: Nothing wrong. Obviously its a bit noisy, but its got a pretty fast fan, so I don't think its going to get much quieter for what it is - just understand before ordering.
Other Thoughts: Paid only a couple more bucks for 2 day delivery, got here fast as usual. Newegg rocks.

Packaged damaged
Pros: cheaper than most places... mfg. has 1-800 number, so has good tech. support.
Cons: Received unit in 4 days via UPS. Packaging is so so, could be better. Once installed, noticed loud grinding noise inside unit. Turned out it was damaged from shipping. Other than that, the unit is very loud when running. Request RMA and will order another one.
Other Thoughts: The unit is very big, and it's around 70-80 lbs. The window kit is black foam, so it looks ugly if installed in front window of the house. comes with everything needed. fan is very loud, and doesn't seem to cool enough in my room 14' x 14'. Maybe it's a defective unit. Lets see what happen with the replacement unit.

Comments: This unit is good at supplementing my central air conditioning system. When stands alone, it is not capable to cool either one of my two rooms (125 sq. ft and 200 sq. ft, respectively; both rooms have direct sun light through the windows), however. The dehumidifying function is quite amazing. I ended up using the supplied tube to drain water continuously when the unit is on.

Decent for the price...
Comments: When i had purchased this unit, it specified it was cooling and heating. But when i received it, it only cooled. Besides that and the fact that it dropped $xx the next week its an ok unit. It keeps my room cool which has 4 Server computers running in it along with Gaming PC. Its a good deal for the price!

Comments: This unit just arrived yesterday and was a snap to hook up. A welcome addition to my home. Naturally, as is my luck, just one day after I received it the price has been reduced by 20 dollars. :(

Works Great
Comments: I purchased this to augment my office at home. With a roomful of computers, this unit keeps up just fine with the heat.
