Pros: works really well, its been in the mid 80's at night and it's been great having the bedroom at 64*. I had the unit set up and running in about 15 minutes. If you read the manual you find a couple of tricks that some of the other reviewers seem to have missed like how to turn off the units display light, how to make sure you have the AC running and not just the fan.
Cons: it took me a bit to get into the habit of draining the condenser tank daily and to remember to use the power off switch on the plug while draining.
Other Thoughts: Read the manual. I wasn't really happy with the unit until I got past the I don't need to read the manual stage. now that I understand some of the operational hoops, the AC rocks and I'm extremly happy with the purchase

Horrible
Pros: A remote control air conditioner is a nice idea.
Cons: Everything else. The backlit LCD screen is actually very brights, and cannot be turned off. It's MUCH bigger than I anticipated, but that's really my own fault. On the absolute lowest setting you would have to turn your TV up to hear over this monster. It does blow cool air directly out of the front of the unit, but it wouldn't lower my room's temperature more than 2 degrees. I bought this for use in my bedroom. For some reason, the rest of the house can be 70-75 degrees, but my bedroom never seems to drop below 80, usually sitting at 82. When I tested this machine out before going to the trouble to set it up in the bedroom, I noted how loud it was, and the very bright light on the front, but thought I could possibly live with that (turn some music on and pull the covers over my head).
Other Thoughts: When did finally did move it into place and crank it up I had some doubts about my ability to sleep though the noise, but let it stay because I just can't bear the heat any longer. After an hour the temperature didn't drop on either of my gauges in the room, so I thought it might be an air circulation problem. I turned off the television and computer and turned on a ceiling fan and stick fan and left it in the room for an hour while I ran errands. When I came back the temperature had dropped a whopping 2 degrees down to 78. I let it run the rest of the day and came to bed the thermostats are still dead on 78 degrees while the Whynter SNO 14000 is set to 64. I pointed the air (and bright blue headlight) a the bed and tried to deal with it. As it turns out, there is no way I am sleeping through the noise. I have wasted 500 hard-earned dollars. Don't do the same

Decent air conditioner
Pros: Does an adequate job cooling a my apartment, but I agree with the other reviewer that it can't handle more than 400sq ft. It's on wheels, has a remote control, easy to install.
Cons: It's big and heavy. It's a little loud, isn't energystar rated, and my exhaust tube doesn't fit tightly in into the unit so I had to get some extra sealing materials to keep the heat from escaping back into the room.
Other Thoughts: A few things that aren't dealbreakers: The remote control is made of cheap plastic, the unit is huge, and you're supposed to drain it every now and again. Having said that, I've been using the thing everyday for 2 weeks in New York City and haven't had to drain it once.

Good Machine
Pros: Sends out 58 degree air. Nice looking. On a hot day, 400 square feet is the absolute maximum that can be cooled to a comfortable temperature.
Cons: BIG! Makes weird random sounds.
Other Thoughts: The box arrived with a crushed corner and the unit had a broken wheel. But with a heat wave arriving here in the Northwest, I didn't want to be without it.
My room is 400 square feet, with exterior walls that face SE and SW, in other words, the sun beats down on this room all day.
It was 100 out yesterday, and I know from past experience this room would be 90 degrees inside w/o air conditioning. The A/C cooled the room down to 71, which is acceptable. The unit can't do any more - I had it set to 64 degrees and the 3 speed fan set all the way up. So the machine was maxed out. But 71 is pretty nice compared to 90. The unit draws a LOT of air, so be sure to leave something (a door) slightly open or I think the motor would be stressed.
Would like to hear if others get the random sounds or if mine does just because it was dropped.

DOA But all good now !!!!
Pros: Excellent cooling, portability, styling, remote control and ease of use. It would have received 5 eggs if it actually worked when it arrived.
Cons: Arrived Broken .... I didn't want to send it back so I disassembled it only to find that the temperature probe was not connected to the controller board. Now that it works ... it works great.
Other Thoughts: NewEgg was great as they always are, the unit arrived at my door 2 business days after shipping.
