Over a year and half old and still going strong
Pros: I purchased this beauty back on 02/07/08 and have loved every second of ownership. The color on it is still vivid, bright, and just phenomenal and after heavy game usage, not one dead pixel. I play mostly fps games and I have yet to experience lag on this monitor. I don't use the speakers, so I can't comment on those. However, anyone who purchases a pc monitor based on how the built in speakers sound needs to have their head checked.
Cons: Only thing that I have noticed is that there is some light bleed on the top and bottom of the screen when dark scenes are displayed. Again, is not so much of a problem if you are gaming or just want a big monitor for general usage.
Other Thoughts: I am upgrading to a 26 inch Samsung I purchased here on Newegg (I should get it on Tuesday, 11/4/08) and I am passing on this monitor to my younger brother. He is stoked. And he should be. This is a great monitor if you can still find some place who carries it. If you get the chance and your in the market for a great 22 incher, pick this bad boy up. You won't regret it.

impressed
Pros: For the price and quality of this monitor compared to the more expensive big name brands, it's a great deal.
Cons: There was only one in the box.

Still happy!
Pros: The buttons are hidden on the bottom of the monitor and out of the way. The speakers, while I seldom use them, are also hidden so you don't know they are thereunless you are using them.
After almost 2 full years, I still am yet to find a dead pixel. Colors still look alright.
Cons: Has a lot of "light bleed" as it is called, esp from top and bottom. You don't notice it under normal use, but when you watch a movie in a dark scene, you can really see it. Brightness/contrast have faded, but with the thousands of hours of use that I have put on this, that is the least that can be expected.
Other Thoughts: This cost me quite a bit more 2 years ago, but even then, it was reasonably priced (for the time). I think my first review was 5 eggs, but as I become more knowledgable, I think it deserves 4. For someone who uses it for general computer use, def. a 5 though.

Very Clear!
Pros: I got this monitor almost exactly 5 months ago and I have to say that this monitor is the best I've ever seen by far! Amazingly clear, which goes a long with the graphics card but aside from that the controls are easy to use for anyone that has sensitive eyes (It's a little brighter than most monitors).
Cons: There is only one thing I can really complain about, is the fact that after you snap on the stand (Which is really sturdy), it's near impossible to screw in/out the AGP/DVI Cords in the back.
Other Thoughts: The price is great for the size of the monitor and the quality defiantly doesn't lack at all.

Pros: Cheap. Good quality. Good resolution
Cons: Speakers are weak. I hooked them up to my Dell Inspiron, and it didn't register any louder than the laptop speakers.
Other Thoughts: Great LCD monitor for the price. I do not know how many times I bought from Newegg, but I have been satisfied every time. I even placed orders while I was deployed to Iraq, and the package came in one piece as scheduled.

Pros: Bright, reading text looks good (with a tiny bit of tweaking), videos and games look great on it.
Cons: Lack of telescoping stand or included stack of books. Luckily, I had purchased my own stack of books years earlier.

Pros: excellent performance for price, great value! Looks great for anything from browsing the internet to indepth gaming. Half Life 2 Looks PHENOMINAL at 1680x1050.
Cons: had a dead pixel right out of the box, but not noticable during gameplay. speakers are totally useless.
Other Thoughts: couldn't ask for a better 22" widescreen for a little over $200.00 while comparable ones can be much more

Nice
Pros: It is what it says. An excellent value, and a bright crystal clear picture.
Cons: The speakers are useless. It would have been nice if they skipped the speakers and re-designed the mounting bracket.
Other Thoughts: I can't complain. No dead pixels, not a single problem to date, and a nice price. I would recommend it to anyone searching for a new monitor. Previous reviews suggest a limited viewing area, which I have yet to find problematic. You need to be at a substantial angle to see any color shift, and it is assumed with an LCD due to the polarization film used to brighten the image.

Beautiful
Pros: This monitor has a beautiful and bright picture with no detectable dead pixels. Great price too!
Cons: The built in speakers are weak and tinny sounding, but I should have expected that.
Other Thoughts: With better built-in sound, this would be a perfect monitor.

Great monitors
Pros: For the price, these are excellent monitors. I've got 2 of them and setting them up in Ubuntu wasn't too hard. A very nice upgrade from 2 17inch LCD's. Yes yes, many would say that 1680x1050 looks better on a 20inch monitor. I mind now. These are great. No dead pixels, great refresh rate, colors are fine, Newegg ships ridiculously fast, etc.
Cons: Speakers are frankly useless. Do not buy these monitors for the speakers. You will be sorely disappointed.

impressive
Pros: not a single dead pix. really much bigger than i thought. super crisp image. love it
Cons: could say the stand, it is cheap and doesnt height adjust, but i have a small computer desk and it would not matter if it was a diff stand. it barely fits anyway.
Other Thoughts: some one offered same size monitor for about 25 dollars less, but it had only one vga port. having both vga and dvi was worth the extra money .

Great monitor for a great price
Pros: Bought this for my wife. Great price. Out of the box, color seemed a little washed out , probably needs a little tweaking of monitor of video card. No dead pixels, which is awesome.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. Surely quality is not as good as my Dell , but then for the price I paid for mine 2 years ago, I could have bought 2 of these and still saved $$$ .

Overall Good
Pros: good resolution. DVI rocks. fast response and no dead pixels or lines.
Cons: it takes super thin hands to connect the VGA or DVI after you connect the base to the monitor. (mine aren't) :P
that's why i don't screw in the connectors anymore
Other Thoughts: although it says max resolution is 1680x1050, it can do 1080p/i. i have a DVI/HDMI cable so i can play my PS3 on it, and it does 1080p. i didn't use the speakers so i don't know how well they work.

I love this monitor.
Pros: Photoshop CS3 looks great, everything bright and no dead pixels after 6 months now, I've had it awhile, very good monitor for the price. The refresh rate is unnoticeable even in shooters like COD4. The wide aspect ratio makes World of Warcraft look very good.
Cons: Connectors are kind of hard to get to tucked up in a non-ergonomic spot. If you're keeping the monitor on your desk for good, it's not an issue, if you're taking it to lan parties all over or setting up in different locations, I could see it getting irritating.

Great Monitor
Pros: I purchased a bunch of these units and have not had one bad pixel. They all work great in office environments and my users love them. I really like the speaker ports as it frees up desk space. The speakers are nothing to write home about but in a office they are good enough.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I have noticed that if you use the analog connector and look close enough the picture appears slightly fuzzy and has a flicker to it. Moving off to a DVI port and the image clears up. I have tried this on other manufactures and they produce the same problem. Not sure why but it is livable for my analog users.

Good Monitor for the Price
Pros: As everyone else has said, it's a huge, cheap, pretty monitor. I love it.
Cons: Given the price, none, but see below for thoughts and caveats.
Other Thoughts: Decent resolution, but next to my laptop's 14", 1440x900, it's a little grainy.
Others have mentioned a little color bleed at the edges. There definitely is some. You can see it on a black screen (for example, many screensavers). There is approximately one inch at each edge which gets kind of washed out.
The speakers are junk. They are actually worse than my laptop's speakers, which already leave a lot to be desired. It's kind of pitiful to hear sub-laptop quality sound out of a monitor this nice. As others have said, don't buy this monitor thinking you'll get decent speakers with it.
I gave it a 9/10 for the Customer Choice Award.

Pros: Looks great... especially for gaming and office work. Installation was easy XP-64bit had no trouble recognizing the monitor. Price and delivery time were excellent has usual when buying from newegg.com
Cons: After 30days the LCD monitor is experiencing flickering of small dots of colors at random... newegg.com return policy has expired, so now I'm looking forward to dealing with the manufacture in repairing my monitor.
Other Thoughts: Something that did bother me was how newegg.com shipped my LCD monitor... they should start shipping these delicate items in a second box with more stuffing. Not very smart to transport in its original box via UPS ground. :(

Perfect.
Pros: Everything. OSD Settings are extremely simple or atleast self-explainatory.
The built-in speakers are better than i expected, it's kind of a good set of center speakers(for vocals) if you get too much bass from others, as i do. Overall graphics just look spendid. Game textures and details are very nice too(Quad Monitor + SLi), just couple with good video cards and high-quality is all you get.
Cons: None, except i can't teach it to make me coffee, but then again it's not suppose too. But it's a good feature to add ;)
Other Thoughts: I love working in photoshop CS3 with them, colors are easy on the eyes and they don't really get hot(only when im too close and on for a straight 22+ hrs.). BTW i've had these since July 2007, no problems since then and till this day, no dead pixels and also, Newegg rocks.

Pros: Exceptional quality of picture and movie quality. I upgraded from a Samsung 17" LCD and the picture is clear and crisp just as it was with my old CD. This is my first widescreen and its amazing.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: The base stand from what i understood from the other reviews isn't as flimsy as i first estimated. It's acceptable and feels sturdy. Movie quality is just as good as my LCD Television.

WOW
Pros: This monitor is so big when you first get it out. It made me almost quiver. I love this thing. I play cod4 on this monitor and i can see just about anything.
Cons: The plugs in the back are a bit hard to get to. leave the stand off before you plug the dvi ports in then put it on, it makes it easier.
Other Thoughts: running max res with a 9800gtx, cod4 looks amazing, im seeing graphics ive never seen before.

Beautiful
Pros: Great picture, worked great out of the box, everything I run on it (games, etc) looks amazeing. Comes with all the cables, good stand, very happy.
Cons: No usb ports on it I guess.... but who does that anymore. And who cares?
Other Thoughts: Bought this on a whim and on the recommendation of a good friend. I am NOT disapointed and will be giving him his due tomorrow. What an amazeing monitor, very satisfied. New Egg shipped fast and with care as usual.

Clear and Bright
Pros: Very bright and vibrant with a great response time.
Cons: As said, the speakers are garbage but who cares. 4 eggs because there is some bleeding on white text (chromatic aberation I think it's called). It could be a contrast setting though and will be investigating it. Really not very noticeable unless you look for it.
Other Thoughts: Could use better hight adjustment as mentioned.

Acer 22" Widescreen Monitor
Pros: With over 500 reviews already, what else can I say about this monitor other than it's great. One point I like is the auto resolution adjustment it makes when you change resolutions on software you are using.
Cons: Beware...there are two (2) power buttons on the monitor that must be on in order for the monitor to work. I thought the switch in the back was it and didn't realize that you must also turn on the button in the front of the monitor.

I love this monitor
Pros: This monitor is really beautiful. This is my second Acer monitor, I also own a 24 inch. They are really nice. Obviously the color quality and depth is not as good as samsung, but I'll tell you it comes quite close. The text is sharp and videos are fine. It really is a great buy for the price. If you were on the edge of buying it; I encourage it.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Widescreen monitors are the way to go. Improves your efficiency for a lot of tasks and bragging rights too. It is the way to go.

Acer did a fine job with this one
Pros: Acer has done a fine job with this product, especally for the price. The colors are great and vibrant, the look is pretty good. I like it better than my Dell 2007WFP which I paid nearly $400 for a year ago.
Cons: No USB ports on it but this isn't really a con, just a nice feature the higher monitors have.
Other Thoughts: None at this time, you get more than you expect quality wise.

WOW
Pros: WOW This thing is huge. Good screen quality. No bad pixels.
Cons: The power LED is difficult to see on the bottom of the screen. (but that's just me being nit picky)

Acer AL2223Wd
Pros: Good color, sharp display, 5ms, bright, no dead pixels and lots of screen real estate.
Cons: Blacks are a bit faded and there is some minor black light bleeding noticable when watching dark movies. It lacks a vertical height adjustment, and the power light isn't visible from a normal angle.
Other Thoughts: Great value for the price. My second Acer, but a huge step up from my 17" LCD. I'd buy it again in a heart beat.

Fabulous addition
Pros: Great color clarity w/no dead pixels. Great price. A super upgrade from the standard CRT.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I can't believe I let myself stare into a CRT as long as I did. The Samsung monitor this Acer replaced I always liked but it is no comparison and no contest to this Acer unit.

A really great value,
Pros: Surprised and pleased with the professional packaging. Above average attention to detail as you would expect from Acer. Nice sharpe display. Tall mounting stand, it tilts. Works well with Vista. DVI input. Well constructed. No dead pixels. Infinte image quality adjustments.
Cons: With all black background some bleed through on outside edges,if brightness set too high. Dialed it down to lowest now its perfect. No real cons.
Other Thoughts: I am running a standard 512k Nvidia/Dell graphics card. 2.4 ghz quadcore processor. I shoot and edit lots of HD video. All published at 1080p. I personally cannot find any fault with this monitor. Resolution is fine. Out of the box its a bit too bright. Background black is really a deep flat black. Overall I am really happy with it. Standard shipping from newegg was less than 3 days! ordered on monday here on weds.

Nice Text
Pros: Ordered this to replace a dead uhm, toaster maker's 22" screen. The grids in Excel and screen fonts are very crisp and clear. A huge improvement over the old screen.
Cons: 16.2 million colors means the artists won't like it. For usual office work, it's just fine. I got confused with the hardware power switch then the on/off button. I checked the power cable twice.
Other Thoughts: Didn't mess with the speakers. The tilt adjustment is fine. Ship time was 2 days!!

Nice Monitor
Pros: i ordered 2 of these. they are very nice monitors, 1680 x 1050 resolution, looks really good, and its a huge upgrade from a 17" CRT and a 19" LCD.
Cons: I ordered two, 1 came with 2 dead pixels and 1 came with 1 not really a con since almost all monitors come with at least 1 dead pixel.

Great Monitor
Pros: This monitor, for the price, is very good. I upgraded from a 19" CRT monitor and am very happy with this choice. The color is great and response time good as well. Runs off of DVI or VGA inputs. Great upgrade from anything smaller.
Cons: Very poor speaker quality. Don't plan on using them for long periods of time or on music. Also no height or rotational adjustment. The Acer box opens on the side so I'm not sure how im supposed to use it for transportation again.
Other Thoughts: Great shipping time Newegg delievers again :)

Great Display ... speakers are awful
Pros: This is the second Acer 22" display I have owned. As with the first one, the display is rock solid and very bright. I am not a gamer ... for my proposes, this display is great. No dead pixels ... plug and play with my Mac Mini I just got for iPhone software dev!
Cons: Speakers? Do not buy this display assuming that you will use the speakers. I was hoping to save a bit of desk space by getting a monitor with built in speakers, but they are so bad it is not funny. They are buried somewhere behind the display and sound worse than a bad AM radio!
Other Thoughts: Several reviewers complained about the lack of adjustments on the monitor stand. If you read the Acer web site carefully, you will see that there are multiple versions of this display. Some have additional capabilities ... like height, tilt and rotation. This model is the absolute base version with no adjustments. If you want the extra do-dads ... you will pay more.

Gorgeous Monitor
Pros: Very Bright. Makes my Gateway 19" LCD look dark in comparison. No discernible background lighting (i.e. you can't tell that there are any backlights, the edges are as crisp as the rest of the display) and there are absolutely zero dead pixels. (The first thing I looked for after opening it) The Screen mode functionality is nice for one-touch configuration for Text, Graphics and Movies.
Cons: No swivel, but the tilt function is adequate if your desk is the right height. Gives my Gateway 19" LCD (standard square) an inferiority complex. DVDs in normal definition are grainy and ugly. Don't buy this monitor (or any large sized LCD) unless you're going to be upgrading to BluRay / HD DVD soon - normal usage in games and in Windows is fantastic however. It takes a few moments to "boot" when you turn it on. It doesn't just go right to whatever input is being sent on the DVI cable. Mildly annoying, but tolerable.
Other Thoughts: I have not had a chance to use the embedded speakers as I have a discreet 4.1 system.

Great Monitor
Pros: Great Quality. Picture is very crisp, the whole monitor is a solid machine.
Cons: Only 1: The buttons are on the bottom side of the monitor, so you have to feel for them to turn it on or off. This is nothing to whine about, but I figured I would tell you.
Other Thoughts: I have owned it for over a year, and I'm gonna get a second one to compliment it.

Great Price, Good Product
Pros: No bad pixes, tremendous price, reasonably vibrant display, prompt delivery.
Makes EVE Online a much more enjoyable experience. I can actually see what I'm doing now.
Cons: The LED for the power is positioned on the bottom edge of the display which makes it difficult to see. Very minor gripe.
Other Thoughts: Had buyers regret as I could have purchased a sleightly more expensive display with higher (1000:1) contrast at a local large retail store. That regret went away after I got the Acer and plugged it in. Very happy buyer.

I love this thing
Pros: The clarity and resolution on this monitor is fantastic! All my games look beautiful in 1680x1050!
Cons: 1 dead pixel upon arrival. Fixed instantly with pressing eraser to it.
Other Thoughts: Considering buying another one for a dual display set up since I like this monitor so much, and a really great price.

Bought my second one
Pros: I just ordered my second one today, decided to try dual monitors with my new video card. It's fairly well constructed for the price, and I've had zero problems with it in the past year. My brother bought a comparable one for 3x the price, and envies mine because his contrast is terrible from most angles.
Cons: No height adjustment, though mine happens to be just right. However, both won't fit on my monitor stand, so I'll be complaining about this shortly, I bet.
Vertical viewing angle is not ideal. With my eyes about 2" below centered, the top edge of the screen is slightly dimmer than the rest. It doesn't bother me, but I can notice it if I look.
Make sure you screw the DVI connector in, it loses connection occassionally if you let friction hold it for you. This goes for any monitor though, don't be lazy.
Other Thoughts: I bought this a year ago for $350. When I noticed it was $225 now, I convinced myself I needed another.

Absolutely gorgeous picture
Pros: fast 5ms response time. I have it connected to my SLi rig and my games (EQ, WoW, Crysis) look absolutely gorgeous at 1680x1050 reso. Words alone won't do the quality of picture justice if you've never owned a 22" or larger widescreen before.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: resolution maxes at 1680x1050 as listed in specs.

I love this monitor
Pros: This is a great monitor for the price! I upgraded to this from a CRT, and the upgrade is just amazing. The picture quality is vivid and clear, and the text is perfect. No dead pixels out of the box. I don't have any problems with color changes or fading when looking from different angles. Looks GREAT with games and movies!
Cons: As a lot of others have said, it's really bright, I have the brightness on it all the way to zero, but some things still show up as being really bright and had to be edited in ATI's Control Center (Dust 2 on Counter-Strike, for example). It doesn't bother me though and it's an easily fixed problem. I don't have any problem with the lack of height adjustment either.
Other Thoughts: I'm extremely glad that I decided to stick with buying this monitor. Although I've only had it for a day or two, hopefully it will stay that way. I love the fact that they included the DVI cable so I didn't have to buy it separately. My video card needs to be updated though, because when I changed the resolution to 1680x1050, I had to change some graphics settings to avoid lag. But that's not a problem with the monitor. Overall, a great buy for a 22" monitor!

Works great with my Ubuntu Linux
Pros: This monitor performs great and is reasonably priced. I ended up getting two of them for a Quad-Core Ubuntu Linux box I put together. Driving it with the EVGA 256-P2-N751-TR GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card (also from NewEgg).
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I configured the the two monitors to present a really wide desktop at a combined resolution of 3360 x 1050. This looks and works GREAT.

Would be great if it worked.
Pros: The picture quality is absolutely fantastic for the price. Picture is very sharp. No dead pixles. The contrast is great and the black levels are decent
Cons: Mine started to fail after the 40 days or so (just outside Newegss's return policy). My colors flicker like crazy. Basically, my color temp changes from cooler to warmer (or vise verse) at random, sometimes flickering back and forth for several minutes. I guess a 3 year warranty is good, but having to use it isn't.
Also, there is a significant color change with respect to verticle viewing angle - the colors appear much more red from higher up, and green from lower down. This makes things like working with digital photos very difficult.
Other Thoughts: The size is great. I went from dual-17's to this 22 widescreen alone and don't feel like I lost any significant amount of space.

5 stars
Pros: great looking screen, no dead pixels, easy set-up, works with Vista, low power consumption, great price.
Cons: none I can think of.
Other Thoughts: Hard to beat the quality, and price of this monitor. I use it for 3D design, Photoshop, and watching Lost, works great across the board. Would buy another one, recommended.

Great for the price
Pros: Bright, vivid and large enough for everyday applications.
Cons: However, it certainly is not comparable to higher end monitors. Colors are a bit too saturated (monitor settings helps, however, the best is to tweak the gammas with your graphic card). Speakers are weak, however, I have others anyway.
Other Thoughts: If I'd had $150 more I would have go with a 24". However, right now I'm very happy with it.

Gorgeous monitor
Pros: Call the town hall because you may want to subdivide all the real estate you get with this monitor. I upgraded from a 17", 12 year old CRT to this fine piece of equipment, and it really blows everything I've ever used away (don't construe that as a plug for this product over technically superior/more expensive products). I am also a big fan of the base on this monitor compared to similarly-priced Acer monitors.
The best part was that the monitor and its packaging survived a terrible UPS debacle which I'll describe below.
Cons: I thought a had a few dead pixels when I fired the monitor up the first time, but they (thankfully) ended up being specs of lint or something.
As others have said, the size can be difficult to adjust to if you're used to a smaller monitor, but that's the point of ADJUSTING. Once you adjust, you'll wonder how you ever lived without so much workspace.
Other Thoughts: UPS was supposed to ship the monitor the Friday before the MLK Day holiday weekend. They ended up putting my monitor on the wrong truck when it was shipped out for delivery. According to my secret inside sources at UPS, this usually means that your package is rattling around all alone, all day in the back of the truck while at the mercy of the UPS driver. It was impossible to pick up the package at the facility, so I just had to wait.
Who knows what my monitor endured, but it made it into my hands unscathed after whatever it went through. I was really worried, but Acer has given me reason to believe that their products are more or less constructed solidly.

Great Monitor
Pros: Very nice. Great coming from a 17" full screen. Very good for gaming and movie watching. The colors are much more vivid than on the 17".
Cons: A lot brighter than what I'm used to. May take a little getting used to. Not necessarily a con.
Other Thoughts: I don't know why other people are complaining about the speakers. They're really not that bad. I got this so when i go to lan parties, i don't have to lug around the 5.1 system. They are good enough. If you're buying the monitor for the speakers and expecting to get awesome surround sound, yes, you'll be dissapointed, but if you just need something to cover for your normal speakers, this works just fine.

Very solid
Pros: Really clean, bright picture. Like, really bright. You'll adjust the brightness down quite a bit and it still lights up a room. This is great in my dorm where there's a lot of ambient light. The backlighting is pretty uniform and it does a surprisingly good job displaying black.
Cons: It's a pain to install cables vertically, but every manufacturer does it.

Decent LCD Monitor
Pros: If all you are buying is a monitor, this thing is great given the price. Good color, contrast and resolution.
Cons: The speakers offer very poor sound quality. The monitor offers little room for adjustment. The lack of height adjustment can be a problem for tall users as the monitor sits quite low.
Other Thoughts: Consider whether you need a monitor with height adjustment.

Pros: I have had this screen for about 6 months and love it. No dead pixels, just bright crisp colors.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful display. Ever since I got it up and running, I haven't had a single problem with it. And the price! Definitely one of the high points. It's super cheap, and for the wonderful package you get, you really feel like you struck gold.
Cons: It took me a while to get it to display 1680x1050 on my GeForce 6800 GS. I had to search for about an hour to find the drivers I needed (the drivers weren't officially licensed). In some forums, I've read that while not unheard of, it is uncommon. Just be aware that you might have to settle on a different resolution while you find the drivers.
Other Thoughts: I'm using this in addition to a 17" Samsung. I would definitely recommend this product.

Can't beat it for the price!
Pros: Lots of screen real estate, very clear when using high resolution. No dead pixels...
Cons: Not really a con for me, but the built in speakers are awful. Go ahead and buy a nice set from newegg if you need speakers too. I didn't buy this monitor just for speakers so It's not a problem for me.
Other Thoughts: Monitor comes from the factory set too bright. it's almost a bit too bright but if you set it low on the osd it's neglible.

Good but...
Pros: Big, Beautiful, Bright. Awesome for gaming. Will forever have a wide screen monitor.
Cons: One bright blue pixel in the very middle of the screen.
Other Thoughts: Speakers are a joke, you can only hear them in a completely silent room. Thanks to the reviews on NEWEGG I bought some BOSE speakers before I received my monitor

Greatest Monitor
Pros: One of the best monitors i have owned. My hp v75 died and i decided to get this one. This monitor may only be 800:1, which some people tell me is a bad contrast ratio, but they dont know what they are talking about. The DVI interface is very good, and i love the wide screen. The acer vista software is excellent for using 2 windows simultaneously.
Cons: ummmm....doesnt take out the trash? The screen gets kinda warm after prolonged use, but that may be just becasue it is lcd. Be careful when attaching cables to monitor if u put the base on first. Its tricky.
Other Thoughts: great upgrade from a 17" crt monitor. You must get this.

Great!!
Pros: I have to say, this monitor came at a wonderful price and is extremely sharp with robust colors. It has two ports (DVI & VGA) with a menu based switch to go back and forth.
Cons: Honestly can't think of any
Other Thoughts: This is a great monitor for me b/c I have an xbox 360 that I connect through the VGA port and the PC connects through DVI. It auto-senses which input to display or you can manually choose through a 3-keystroke menu operation. 5ms, 800:1 contrast, 1680x1050 res, you can't beat this montitor!

Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I ordered 3 of these on a friday at 3:30 pm, delivered to me Monday 10:00 AM. every one of them was in perfect condition. Thanks Newegg!!

Changing my rating--2 units with bad DVI ports in a row
Pros: Good overall picture. Bright...but read the cons!
Cons: However, pay close attention! Only 16.2 million colors as opposed to 16.7 million, so do your research on lcd monitor technology. 16.2 million colors means it is only a 6bit panel with dithering. The AL2216w has better colors at sacrifice of lower contrast ratio. I also went through 2 replacements--both had DVI ports that went bad within a week. Don't know if it was bad luck or not, but buyer beware...
Other Thoughts: On the flip side, newegg was cool about a full refund.

Terrible out of the box, but good after calibration.
Pros: Great price for a 22" monitor. NewEgg rocks for fast shipping. No dead pixels. Good picture after using a 3rd-party calibration tool (DisplayMate).
Cons: When first hooked up the picture was overly bright and blue, shades of grey were nonexistent. Acer's eDisplay Management software doesn't hold the settings. I went through several calibrations with it. Always, after working for awhile, I'd find that the picture would degrade, like it wasn't holding the settings, and would bring up eDisplay and re-select the already-selected calibration setting to revert it to being usable again. After a couple of days of that bull, I was ready to return the monitor only to see that you can't return unless there are dead pixels. Found another calibration tool (DisplayMate), and used that, and now it's OK. The base could use a swivel and height adjustment.
Other Thoughts: I felt really let down after reading the great reviews here for this monitor. Out-of-the box usability is terrible. Acer's eDisplay calibration doesn't hold your settings. But after calibrating with DisplayMate, and needing to turn the contrast way down to 35, it's usable and nice, and I finally feel like this was an improvement over my 17" Dell LCD.

Great Resolution
Pros: For the price, this is a great monitor. I've had it for over 6mo, at it has performed flawlessly. I'm not a gamer, but I watch quite a few movies on the unit, and the colors and resolution are great. No dead pixles!!
Cons: None yet.

Nice monitor
Pros: High quality images comperable to more expensive models.
Cons: -
Other Thoughts: 22 inch widescreen is the way to go. This monitor is an excellent value and stands up fine to other pricier ones.

Best bang for the buck!
Pros: Great picture clarity, awesome price for the size
Cons: A little slow for gaming
Other Thoughts: I had a litle bit of issues setting this up with Vista because it wouldn't recognize the full resolution (no problems with XP), but there's a workaround (do some searching on the internet) and it works perfectly now.

Pros: Well, what I can say about this monitor? I bought it month ago and change my old one 17" monitor and wow. It`s lighter, bigger, save some place on your desktop... Realy (I was amazed) fast delivery, just 3 days wow.
Cons: Not very satisfied with colors. With monitor you got two manuals in dosens of languages, but acctually you can use just page or two which doesn`t say anything about anything. Got my monitor with speakers not working, but didn`t want any more trouble with returning it and paying all those fees and. Luckily didn`t throw out my old speakers.

Outstanding value
Pros: Reviews are accurate. This screen has brilliant color and excellent resolution. For this price it is a no brainer.
Cons: Speakers give the equivalent of laptop sound so don't expect much.
Other Thoughts: I wall mounted mine above a kitchen desk and I may never go back to my Dell CRT again.

Very Nice
Pros: Very happy with this monitor....bought it as a second display for my FCP system. Have a 23" Apple Display and this monitor matches up nicely,Plug and play has been great, after a quick setup I was up and running. It came with all the right cables and software. Very sharp screen...I am sure going to enjoy the extra real estate this monitor adds. Great service and Price from Newegg!!
Cons: None noted...will post if anything comes up

Great LCD - No worry purchase
Pros: Looks Sharp! 22". Great price, I got it with free shipping!:) No dead pixels, worked great straight outta the box. Some reviewers talked about washed out colors, but if you are like me and are an average user then you won't notice anything, just a great great monitor.
Cons: UPS took 7 days to get it to me. But I did order it Christmas eve, just seemed like a long time to wait for my present to me. Otherwise nada!

Pretty Good
Pros: Big, No ghosting, easy install.
Cons: Slight bleeding on bottom mid right. not noticeable except on dark or black images/games.
Other Thoughts: I think its a good buy. Gotta download the new drivers from Acers website.
