Great Speakers
Pros: I hooked up these speakers with my HK receiver, they immediately sounded very different from my old JBLs, with a lot more details. However, after just a few minutes, I feel the sound is too bright. I then tried a few other CDs, but it sounds too bright.
I always thought that "break in" is a myth. My JBLs didn't need much "break in". They sounded not much different compare now from when I initially bought them. But these swan speakers appear to be very different. Since they are hooked up, then started to sound better every day. Only after ~10 hours usage, it started to sound noticeably better. After 20-30 hours, they sounded great, and better than my old JBLs in every aspect. Now I have long passed 100 hours "break in" period, these speakers deliver warm and detailed sound. I can listen to them and enjoy for a long time.
Now I started to recommend Swan speaker to all of my friends who are looking for speakers. These speakers are just great!
Cons: requires "break in". may not be an issue for audio enthusiast.
Other Thoughts: Before I placed the order, I was a bit uncertain about how UPS would ship these heavy weight speakers. 3 days later, the speakers arrived in great condition. They are packed in huge double boxed protective wrappings. I got a LCD TV a few months ago via UPS shipping. The TV arrived with a broken base stand. These speakers are packed much much better.
Once unwrapped, these speaker looked much nicer than the picture displayed at newegg. They appear to be taller and not as fat as the displayed picture. The displayed picture was probably taken from a angle that somehow make speaker appears shorter and fatter.

Had a problem
Pros: These speakers sound spectacular. Full range the whole front of my room is a sound stage. Last speakers I will ever get.
Cons: Oh yes nothing like spending 2 hours inside a new speaker gutting it. I think someone else posted this too, but my midrange also did not work. The circuit board was broke. I am pretty sure this was broke from the factory. Like someone said before 3 screws one threw the middle of the board where it needs to be is in the corner. I scraped the coating back off the circuit board a soldiered it back together in 3 different places. Sounds perfect now but yet I wouldn’t recommend this speaker for anyone right away.
Other Thoughts: I own a set of Swans 4.1, R3BC, C2BC, and the 6.1. My neighbor who is an audio speaker freak has now gotten the 5.2’s. He had swore never to own anything but B&W. When he first heard my 4.1’s he thought he was listening to B&W speakers. I am defiantly hooked on these speakers.

shoddy workmanship
Pros: The price is good. One of the two speakers I purchased is fine.
Cons: Midrange did not work because the crossover board was cracked. This was surprising, because there is no external damage. Only three screws were used to attach the board to the cabinet, and probably related to the missing screws, it cracked in half. I can't even get a replacement board - I am told I have to return the entire speaker(>80 lbs).
Other Thoughts: These speakers look good from the outside, but after looking inside, I realized they were poorly assembled. I am surprised the speaker made it out of the factory with such a problem.

Excellent Clarity
Pros: Very clear and tight speakers. Not too bright. Very well balanced with Swan's center channel during Dolby 5.1 and DTS playback. I've read 70 watts per channel is enough to push them, I use an H&K AVR7200 as my head unit which has more than enough power for produce high volume crisp sound. (My point is that they have a very good response level.)
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: They sound better now (after a year) compared to when I got them. The wearing in process helps these as I have heard it does with other speakers. I have 4 of these paired with a Swans SWC3BC for the center channel and a 10 inch HSU Research sub. The sound is superb. The only thing I would change about my setup is upgrading my head unit to one that does HDMI switching of at least 3 inputs.

Pros: Truly an amazing speaker. If your budget is under a $xxxx, look no farther. Bought these for a second home theater room for the great price. The detail and imaging is unbelievable. Have another pair costing 3X's as much as the Swan's and the Swan's sound just as good. The craftsmenship is very good as well. Listened to all types of music through them and sound better each day. I am a heavymetal fan and they rock out. I like a lot a bass, the Swan's are strong & tight. Considering a second pair, you will not be disappointed in this speaker.
Cons: No manual
Other Thoughts: Speakers are double boxed. Mine arrived without any damage. Twelve gauge speaker wire is included. Also can be bi-amped.
