5 out of 5 eggsAn excellent card ...

Pros: I just downloaded the new ATI drivers, and they have taken the x1900gt to a new level. This board performs fantastically for the money. I get an average of 40fps on COD2, maxed out at 1280x1024, the ability to smoothly play COH @ 1280x1024 maxed out, and AOEIII looking beautiful and playing great at 1280x1024 ... more than respectable performances for a sub-$200 video card. DVD playback features rock, too.

Cons: Connect3D took a long time (3 mos) to send my rebate check ... however, I did get it, and it didn't bounce. How thoughtful. The card is hot (80C @ load) ... although this has not affected anything except my propensity to remark, "the card is hot."

Other Thoughts: A really great deal. The 7900gt, nVidia's competitor for this card, might be a better choice for people who play FEAR and HL2. I'd like to see some new benchmarks on guru3D, TH, madshrimps, etc. of the x1900gt with the latest drivers from ATI ... honestly, I experienced a 20% improvement in all 3D applications!

5 out of 5 eggsConnect 3D x1900GT

Pros: Quiet. Ungraded from Nvidia 5950 ULtra. Don`t laugh please. Upgraded for alot of reasons but primarily I did it for video editing. Premiere loves minimum shader 2. Video color is better on ATI compared to Nvidia.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Bought is when the $xxx rebate was offered. One of those Newegg weekend specials that appear out of nowhere and the retail was $xxx.

5 out of 5 eggsA steal!

Pros: Absolutly amazing!! Its surprising to not have manyreviews! The X1900GT was rated one of the best upper $xxx range cards and with that $xxx rebate it really becomes affordable. I was considering SLI but now crossfire is becoming resonable. It has tons of extra cables.

Cons: It does get very hot- I just aim the extra fan I got with my mobo towards it and it stays cool. Its also a larger card- so make room cuz this baby needs a place!

Other Thoughts: It plays Age of Empires III demo with NO lag and Battlefield 2 demo with 15 secs load- thats it! I am waiting for DX10 and than I will get a second card- prices should plummit.

5 out of 5 eggsPrice/Performance KING!!

Pros: Just look around at all the hardware review sites (tom's guide has a great review on two identical x1900gt's), this baby rips through high end games and benchmarks like a fat kid through a tray of oreo's. And that's fast, real fast. Couple that with a HUGE mail in rebate, and you have near top of the line performance for mainstream price. This card makes it seems senseless to pay 300 more dollars for like 10% increase in performance.

Cons: Runs WAY TOO HOT with stock cooler under HIGH load. Easily fixed with a new vga cooler (i threw a zalman 900 on there, so cold now I use it to quick chill a brew)

Other Thoughts: Awesome card, Unbeleivable price, a true must buy since directx 10 seems like it won't EVER get here. Just make sure to add a better VGA cooler to your cart too.

5 out of 5 eggsExellent Price performance (for the moment)

Pros: Excellent price/performance with rebate. The rebate puts the price at the same level as the lesser 1800gto, and puts pressure on the cheaper 7600gt as well.

Runs HL2-Episode 1 with max settings, HDR, 4AA, and 16AF at ~50fps.

As usual, ATI delivers exellent image quality, particularily with AF (compared to nVidia).

Cons: The large size of the card can be an issue for smaller cases or if you have a lot of add-on cards in your system.

Excessive power consumption.

Other Thoughts: In a few months when DirectX 10 comes out...and mainstream cards with DDR4, most everything in the current lineups for nVidia and ATI will be obsolete both in performance and pricing.

...but then again one would have to upgrade to Vista to take advantage to DX10 anyway...stupid Microsoft...only allowing DX10 for Vista...

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Card

Pros: Incredible display and graphics quality, comes with every sort of odds and ends cable you will never use. Support for dual monitors with included software

Cons: card runs fairly warm, but easily taken care of with either a PCI fan or side mounted case fan for cheap

Other Thoughts: Comes with two digital to analog converters so you don't need to worry that it only had digital displays. Requires direct power from supply but an adaptor is included

5 out of 5 eggsWOW....if u don't mind rebates.

Pros: The price...with rebate is oustanding. Almost outperforms the 7800GT for the price of the 7600GT. Overclocks insanely. Runs Oblivion 45fps at 1440x900 with HDR and all settings up. Runs Quake 4 with full AA.

Cons: high price for just the card itself without the rebate. I wish they would include longer TV cables but thats kinda a stupid request I know.

Other Thoughts: Amd opteron 165@2.43ghz, AsRock mobo, 1 gig corsair xms, Connect 3d x1900GT(this card), Ultra UV wizard case and Ultra x-connect power supply. I got it from a 33xx in 3d06 to 4816 on the ATI auto overclock and by overclocking my opteron. Stock 575/600->595/720 and i'm sure it can go higher(especially with a better cooling system)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat X1900GT

Pros: PRICE!!! after a rebate well under the two hundred mark. Performance, is great I play Counter Strike Source on a 21" widescreen with HDR and AA all enabled, lots of eye candy and still average 100 FPS+

Cons: It gets warm, idles 60c and under a load will go to 70-81c... thats pretty hot... looking into a cooling solution.

Other Thoughts: Box says VISTA as supported OS, its not a DX10 card but it will be compatible for those looking towards the future.
