Fuji continues its tradition of full-featured cameras at an affordable price with the FinePix A610. This compact powerhouse has a 3X optical and 6.2X digital zoom. The 1/2.5" Super-CCD-HR sensor uses octagonal pixels to capture highlights and shadow detail in every picture you take.

The icon based GUI menu system makes navigating through the cameras settings and options fast and easy. To completely take the guesswork out of changing settings a textual explanation of each function is given.

10MB of memory lets you take pictures even if you forget your memory card. The xD/SD card slot lets you choose the memory option that's best for you.

Excellent all around camera.

Pros: I have been searching for over a year to find the right one. Fuji did a remarkable job on this product. Runs on 2 AA batteries. Manual is easy to read and ONLY in English. Fuji choose not to burden us with carrying around Spanish, French and German instructions. Turns on quick into either shoot or view mode. Bundled 1g SD card holds 620 6MP photos or 27 minutes of video. The video is crisp and accurate. Auto-focus is fast and capture appears instant [some cameras don’t capture what you think you photographing…but a second later]. It takes about 3 seconds to record the photo after you snap the picture. The user interface [menus, buttons] is very intuitive and easy to learn. I took me about ½ hour to understand everything about using the camera [except the manual mode]. The software only takes up 162 megs on your computer...unlike other brands which force you to install tons of extra junk. Fuji only installs one driver and one viewer program and it is really easy to use.

Cons: I have not found a single one so far.

Other Thoughts: I am an IT technician and I needed a camera to document server room installations. A must-have was the ability to photograph each installed device and their info stickers showing model and serial numbers on equipment. This camera has a text mode that provides excellent photos of the smallest text on these stickers. Automatically chooses macro mode without flash so the text is crisp and clear without any white-out from the flash.

Other Thoughts: The memory that comes with this camera works perfectly fine, I don't understand why people are saying it does not support the memory.

Pros: Quality pictures for a good price. Enough options to get by. FREE 1 gig card when I purchased it.

Cons: This isn't a colossal picture machine, but you shouldn't expect that from the price.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a digital camera for casual use at a decent price, then this is what I'd go with.

Pros: Inexpensive, very easy to use, great color saturation. Fits easily in my pocket, and as other reviewers have noted, it's so inexpensive that replacing it won't break the bank. What you don't get in features you certainly get in convenience and price, and the photos are very clear for outdoor shooting.

Cons: Hey, it's NOT a DSLR, and won't perform like one. It's not as functional in low light or with moving objects, but it works great for about 100 bucks.

Pros: *Nice big LCD screen
*Pretty nice battery life (lasts over a day when doing nerdy sightseeing)
*Very easy to use interface
*Comes with plenty of modes to shoot pics in

Cons: *You can't zoom in/out while taking video
*No audio available for sound

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't hesitate to buy this camera again
