XCLIO took two facts into consideration when designing the A380BK. First, today’s systems run hotter than ever before and therefore need better cooling. Second, the larger the fan the more air moved with less noise. Instead of messing around with smaller fans they installed two 250mm monsters, one on the front and one on the side. These seven bladed powerhouses can move over 150cfm at maximum speed at only 32.1dB. A speed control lets you adjust the fan speed as needed.
And you’ll need that cooling power if you fully load out the case. There are five external 5.25” and one 3.5” external and seven 3.5” internal bays. And they’re all tool-less for easy installation. The tool-less convenience extends to the expansions slots which have a locking hold down to make installing and swapping cards fast and easy.
The case’s large size allows it to support E-ATX motherboards at 12”x13”. This makes it a great box for servers or data farms.

Excellent buy
- Pros: Very nice bang for the buck. I read every review before purchasing and it seemed alot of ppl were surprised by the size cuz its definitely a full tower, unlike advertised as a Mid tower. Heres the specs since you wont find them anywhere else. 23"L x 21"H x 8"W and every bit as big as the ThermalTake Armor series. Inside its no bs and lots of room. The dual 250mm fans is what sold me on this case cuz no other case offers this, and they are whisper quiet. I can actually hear my raptor hd accessing data now, coming from a Mid tower Raidmax with 6 case fans all pushing 250 cfm roughly combined. It sounded like a microwave. Not this one. Its very quiet, and looks very sharp. In some reviews the front grill was delivered damaged and touching the fan cuz it seems packaging doesnt protect the front as well as the top and bottom. Also check the led's on the fans cuz i did find one about to hit. Just simply bend it out.
- Cons: Advertised as high gloss when its actually semi to dull. Top usb's are not standarized with plugs. Each wire is separate. Weak manual that didnt explain which way to position the screwless drive brackets. If you get them in backwards they are a pain to get out. Tiny button speaker wasnt explained in manual and I almost threw it out cuz case doesnt come with a typical speaker.
- Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this case if you want extra cooling. The rear port hosts a variety of different sizes of fans but 120mm is the way to go. Xclio added a nice touch in illuminating the logo with the Hdd lead. The side fan covers my vid card nicely but could be a little lower when going sli to cover the second vid card. Cpu temp dropped from 104 to 89 idle up to 100 loaded. Gpu's dropped from 145 idle to 133 up to 144 loaded. Abit Fatality, AM2 5200+ w/Zalman, Nvidia 7950 GX2.
Impressive
- Pros: > Size: The Images make it look like a Mid size case, When i got it i was like sweet, its a Full. I was really pleased. More room the better in my opinion.
> Air Flow: Very Impressive airflow. The front turbine acts like a jet engine and sucks the air onto the HDD's to the Mobo. the Side fan sucks air onto the Mobo directly. I added a 120mm fan to the exhaust to blow air out. Everything is noticeable cooler. No need for a fan speed controller, what u can't see is that there is a front fan control dial on the left side of the case that controls the front fan and the PCI slot control fan is for the side fan. ALL FANS ARE SILENT even on max which is awesome since they are big fans. Theres a space under the front fan that actually pushes some air under and out the case which keeps your feet cool in the summer if u put it on the ground :D > Screwless System: Simple. Easy. make sure you insert CD/DVD 5.25" drive in from the outside with the rail backwards. }continues in other thoughts[
- Cons: Not Really Cons but:
-Mesh Grill was dented slightly on the bottom right (can't notice it unless you touch it. -One USB port was bent on the side (Screw driver pushed it out, Easy) -One LED was being hit by the side fan but i just pushed it in and that was that, fixed. :P > Shipping: Nothing to do with Newegg or the Case buy i ordered it on a Monday, Came in next Monday, I paid for 3 day shipping, UPS. Came from CA, im in MA, Plan your Order Date.
Again Very Minor Cons, I would buy from Xclio for a case if i needed to. Very pleased.
- Other Thoughts: ]Continued[ HDDs go in regular, just put the rails on and push in snap. PCI, you just lift the tab and push to side and there you go. Awesome.
>Motherboard support: I was impressed because i have an E-Machine case mobo. They usually make the mobo's screw-in parts so you need to buy their cases but this case supported it, which is awesome again, tons of holes in the case to fit any mobo. Comes with screw extenders so regular mobo screws fit. > Install: Have your motherboard Manual handy, Get it online if u don't. Easy in, buy a longer IDE cable if u need, mine barely fit. You'll need manual for USB pin installation. My mobo didn't support the 1394 connector, no biggy never used one. Fans connect to Power Supply. > LED: Just the right brightness, Arranged along the side fan and Front fans in between the fan support columns. Very strategic locations. They don't flicker. Overall Great Case. I Highly Recommend it, First case transfer for me, It'll last me for a long time. Very spaciou

IT'S HUUUUUGE!!....and sweeet
- Pros: Absolutely massive! will fit everything you will ever need. the 2 fans look great and are impressively quiet considering their size.
-shiped and received within 4days in excellent shape
- Cons: LED light is blue...wish it was yellow, but i digress
-was not thrilled to see box was shipped in original manufacturers box therefore showing the box contents to the world. UPS left sitting on my front porch for anyone to snatch! luckily it wasnt! not Neweggs fault obviously, but wish they would ship in plain brown shipping box like every other product ive ever ordered through them
- Other Thoughts: Got this on sale at an excellent price rather than paying more for a yellow LED model
Very nice case at a great price
- Pros: The case is large, roomy, very cool, good looking case.
- Cons: Took forever to ship.
- Other Thoughts: Lots of room, almost no screws necessary, except the motherboard installation.
Lots of Space, Some design flaws
- Pros: Lots of space for pretty much anything you want to fit in it. I actually just ordered an ATI 4850 X2 video card that a lot of people were saying wouldn't fit in their cases. Some even mentioned this card not fitting in their full size cases. I don't have the card yet, but I took the length and width measurements of the card and checked my case - I've got more than enough room.
Another pro concerning this big case is that it allows for lots of airflow. Although the design of the airflow for the front fan isn't perfect (see below) it still managed to drop the temps on my two HDD's by 20degrees Celsius over my previous case. The front and side fans, plus the large size (and lets not forget the cool looks) are the main reasons I bought this beast.
Tool-less design for hdd's and optical drives sped installation and was a welcome change from my old case.
Fans are pretty quiet and seem to move some air.
Customer service for warranty issues is great! (See below for details)
- Cons: Design of front fan sounds great, but HDD cage actually blocks quite a bit of air. Don't let the "jet-like" appearance of the side panels fool you into thinking that it allows air to go out and around the sides of the HDD cage. The "bubble" out on the side panel is actually only cosmetic as the inside of the side panel is flat and "fills in" that bubble.
Side fan sticks into the case pretty far. I'm going to mount mine outside the side panel using some different screws. I actually had some trouble with mine because the PCI-E 6-pin adapters on my vid card are mounted in such a way that I had to bend the cables close to the connector so they didn't slip through the plastic guard on the fan and hit the fan blades.
Fan speed control for side fan is in the back of the case in a PCI slot (but not actually using a PCI slot of the MoBo). This makes it hard for me to get to, so I just set it on max and left it.
- Other Thoughts: Side panel fan somehow became imbalanced and got stuck on one of the plastic guard "arms". I emailed Xclio and got a response later that day requesting product purchase verification so they could send me a replacement fan "ASAP". I've emailed them the requested info and hopefully should be seeing a new fan soon.
Lastly, the Tool-less HDD trays have big front handles on them that (if used right on top of one another, or if empty trays are left in) "almost" prevented me from being able to plug in my SATA hard drive power/data cables. If you are planning to use all 7 drive bays (and you do have to use the tool-less cages, btw) you will have to break off this handle in order to plug in all your drives. For example, I had to put an empty bay (no drive or empty tool-less cage) below each of my HDD's in order to plug them in without fear of breaking connectors.
