LIAN LI does it again. The PC-A16-B offers maximum room for your drives without resorting to a full sized tower. A staggering six 5.25" external drives are available up front by removing the rarely used 3.5" external bays. If you want any of the external bays to be 3.5", a simple adaptor can be used to convert them seamlessly (sold separately). Naturally it includes 2 USB ports, a Firewire port, and two audio ports up front, but located on top of the case for even easier access.
You'll have no trouble setting up your perfect system here either. The Drive Cage is easily removable, as is the Mother Board's tray, giving easy access to all of your components. Likewise, you'll have no worry about accidental cuts or scrapes as all edges have been folded over to prevent that dangerous razor sharpness. The tray supports all standard ATX Motherboards up to 12" x 9.6", with 7 PCI expansion slots in the back. The system comes with two 120mm ball bearing fans to be used in the front and back of the system, and has room for two additional 120mm fans if needed.

Decent
- Pros: Sexy black aluminum. Removable mobo tray. 120mm fan / HD assembly is modular and can be moved up or down on the front of the case. Side fan exhaust assembly sucks out hot air near your video card and pushes it out the back. Power and HD activity lights are on the front, instead of on the top (where the audio, usb, and buttons are). This makes it so you dont have to get outta your chair or open a dumb door to see if the dang HD is being accessed heavily.
- Cons: Front fan was way too loud. I replaced with a Z@LM@N 120mm with the resistor (800 rpm most of the time) and now its whisper quiet. Perforation at the front is pretty substantial, so that ambient light can shine thru and highlight cables and things in the case, which isnt too pretty. It would be better if you could have just the dark background in there created with smaller perforations. It prolly helps with cooling tho. Led lights can be seen thru the slotted perforations in the side of the front bezel, which shines some of the light out of the side. Pretty annoying in a completely dark room. Fan filter is not exactly "removable" as you have to take the whole dang assembly out if you have anything mounted above it (DVD drive, floppy) and want to wash the filter.
- Other Thoughts: I have a Lanparty NF4 Expert with an Opteron 170. I moved the HD/fan unit up a few notches (CD and floppy are on top) so that it is in line with the cpu and rear 120mm fan. This, coupled with my Freezer 7 (would also work with a 9500/9700) essentially creates a sort of "air channel" where the cold air is taken in, blown over the HD's, in to the CPU fan, out over the memory, and exhausted thru the 120mm in the back. Pretty cool!
Great case
- Pros: Beautiful.
It's all thumb screws which makes it super easy to take apart. Plenty of room for an 8800GTS inside.
The 3.5 inch drive bay insert means you can move your 3.5s all the way up and down the front of your case, even get another 1 or 2 inserts from Lian Li and have room to mount 9 drives. The way drives mount means only removing one side panel to mount them the RIGHT way.
The Power Supply bay has a plate on the back that you screw your power supply to. You insert it from the back rather than the inside, then you can use the thumb screws on the plate to slide your power supply out the back of the case to get the power cables out of the way when you're working inside.
The side fan mounted on the back and blowing out the back is much better than one mounted in the side panel.
The front panel cabling is plenty long and none of the plugs are collections of single pin plugs.
Comes with 3 120mm fans, great airflow.
- Cons: the black aluminum scratches pretty easily. I like everything black, but if you can do without, go for the silver version, not the black.
I stripped one screw hole that holds the mb tray in. It's not a big deal, and their tech support got back to me quickly about replacing it. Also probably my fault, I'm paranoid about screws falling out :P, I cranked on it pretty hard. Those are probably the weakest holes on the case, and you don't even necessarily need to take out the try. Summary: not their fault, just be careful :)
- Other Thoughts: Highly Highly recommend this case. It's a tad larger than the average low end case, but not too large to cause a problem with the desk slot or anything. The extra size is a good thing for working inside it.

Simple, well planned out, won't hurt yourself bulding it
- Pros: Mostly Thumb screws for the larger components. Hard drive bay is movable to anywhere within the case. LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT, can pick this baby up no problem. Fits all of my components. Keeps the system cool from the get go. Also is is surprisingly quiet with all of the stock fans at full bore.
- Cons: Could have rolled some of the cross bars instead of putting up a plastic guard. Wish there was a bit more cable management at the top.
Nice and Expensive
- Pros: Its a beautiful lightweight case. Relatively easy to work inside of.
- Cons: Price Price Price.
- Other Thoughts: I don't really understand what I got for $170. Don't get me wrong. Its one of the nicest cases I have worked with, and I'm the one that bought it for $170. I guess I was expecting to be blown away by it, and I wasn't. Thats not necessarily a negative, thats just me.... I might be jaded.
- Pros: shipped quickly. undamaged. no scratches. everything fits nice and tight. nice room for components. fans are very quiet.
- Cons: missing a couple of the thumbscrews. but that is fine, it came with enough drive and mobo screws to compensate.
- Other Thoughts: this is the first lian-li box i've purchased and i absolutely love it.
