5 out of 5 eggsGreat and long lasting

Pros: First of all, I love this case and had it for about 2 years.

-fairly small compare to most DIY cases (yet still enough room for expansion)
-the side panel had a thing that sticks out to give your CPU heat sink a direct flow from outside of case
-fan built into side of case
-cool blue LEDs
-fun to press large power button
-nice no-screw locking for drive bays

Cons: These are cons but never were a big problem for me.

-not much airflow from front, panel has some vents but not many in front
-my CPU didnt line up with the side panel's CPU thing that sticks out
-reset button used to fall out sometimes (for some reason it stopped falling out though)
-would not be able to fit large CPU heat sink
-sometimes the power button gets stuck if you put the front panel on wrong (just learn to do it right)

Other Thoughts: Overall, I loved this case (sold it to my friend) and I would definitively recommend this case.

4 out of 5 eggsCase with 1394

Pros: I used two of these (mine and wifes PC). Solid and well built. I like steel. Two fans and a collar for the processor fan.

I like the Molex plugs for the fans. You can either hook them up to power supply through one of the 4 pin legacy drive power connectors or disconnect at the Molex plug and hook the fan up to motherboard fan controller.

I got this case because of the 1394 front connector and the 3 1/4 front bay. I use 1394 for video and my wife has legacy software that needs a floppy.

Cables from the front audio, USB, 1394, switches and LEDs were long enough.

Cons: Directions were a litttle sparce. After I put the motherboard in with the standoffs, I noticed two of them had collars. Second time I put those in two of the rear holes assuming they would stabilize the mother board when things were plugged into the rear I/O pluggs . Nothing in the directions about this.

One of the two had not enough screws for standoffs. Bags were open and screws were rolling around in the box.

The metal pegs on the plastic brackets for the sidefacing drives were too thick for the screw holes in the drive.

While the front facing drive locks worked okay for the normal optical drives and floppy drive, they didn't lock in place the brackt for the motherboard USB front bracket, any bracket for the SSD (2 1/2 to 3 1/4), and a plastic floppy drive holder to allow it to mount in a 5 1/2 slot.

The plastic latches on the openings for the add-on cards, do not hold the brackets securely. After the build was complete, I pushed a USB cable onto a bracket it dislogged

Other Thoughts: I would have liked the front LEDs to have a Molex plug arrangement similar to the fans. As it is set up, you can only plug those auxillary LEDs into the 4 pin power plugs. However, my mother board has two LED plugs and I could have plugged these LEDs into the second mother board plug and they would have flashed in sleep mode like the status LED.

It would be nice if the directions or the plugs for the LEDs told which side was +. Mother board says here is + side of HDD LED, but I have to guess which case connection is +.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperior Case & Options

Pros: This unit is about my 400th custom build as do this on the side in my small business and have been for some 15+ years. The options that are offered are many and provide a lot to choose from. I am running dual boot system with Win 7 and XP PRO, both 64 bit and have a total of 5 HDD's internal and 3 external. Except for the dual boot (2 HDD's) the rest plus multiple flash drives are use for data storage only. The Mother Board I used is an ASUS M4N78 PRO configured for SATA Mode rather than RAID Mode to allow use of more HDD's for data storage and minimal use of gaming. The rear fan that is included is a must for very quiet and cool operation.

Cons: The only con is the USB, External Audio, 1394 front access panel. It includes some micro PC boards. The Audio connectors tend to wear out in about a year of constant use, so I have had to replace it.

Other Thoughts: Really excellent computer case and interior components. The options are also excellent for all but serious gaming enthusiasts.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price

Pros: Straight forward case with high quality parts and solid build. It is quiet, cool, and looks great but isn't flashy. My temps have always been stable, parts are secure, and there is no rattles or vibrations of any kind. Great for the price.

Cons: Some of the exterior LED's are a little bright. I had to tape over it because it was lighting up my room at night.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again.

3 out of 5 eggsWould not buy again

Pros: Extremely tool-less design that some people may enjoy. Aluminum is sturdy and case has good heft. Good construction at a very reasonable price. Side panel comes off easily and is replaced onto the case just as easily. Overall, good external construction.

Cons: Tool-less design inside does not afford good stability. Add-in cards can wobble and become loose. 5.25'' drives fit well but 3.5'' drives do not. Cages are too close to ATX form-factor motherboards when installed. Very little room for aftermarket heatsink and fans. Only two fans installed and no obvious mount point for additional 120mm fans. One fan died after just 1.5+ yrs use - unacceptable. With only one fan operational the cooling went from adequate to unacceptable. Add-in cards are cooled OK as well as CPU but wow, memory temp was near egg-frying temperatures. Not a good case for air-cooling.

Other Thoughts: Overall, just not worth the lack of reliability and redundancy. I regret getting this case and am glad that for other builds I went with more expensive cases that had more options.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi aqua,

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with our case. What kind of specs are you installing to create such high temperature. The case is a mid-tower size case and may not fit all your specification. We do recommend the Haf X rated best air flow and full size tower. As for your broken fan, under warranty we can get it replaced by filling out the parts request. If you have further questions, please contact us on live chat. All links are attached below.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, especially for the money

Pros: Sturdy, high quality materials throughout. Truly tool-less design, makes a new build or upgrades a snap.

Plenty of cooling, fans are very quiet, have not had any issues with them in over a year of constant use.

Cons: None, see other comments.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely put some anti-vibe tape on the sides of your hard drives before installation, the tool-less hdd keepers let the drives vibrate a little more than they would bolted down.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst build ever and case worked.

Pros: Case has a great brushed look to it and for the most part was pretty solid. The blue LED lights are fun, it would cool if there was some way to make them dynamic or something.

Cons: There is not really much in the way of cable management but without a window that is not an important point.

Other Thoughts: Had plenty of extras which made things easier.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great case. Solidly built; sturdy and no sharp edges anywhere. Toolless installation good for the most part. Looks great, the front LEDs can be unplugged. It's got enough space, it fits my gigantic HD6950 (not a whole lot of margin though). I don't have a problem with space for cables, as I only have one 5in slot used and I just tucked all my unused PSU cables in the bay. The included 120mm fans are almost completely silent. They don't move a whole lot of air, but it's adequate. I replaced the rear fan with a scythe s-flex "silent" fan that was WAY louder, but also moved about 2-3 times the amount of air.

Cons: It's probably a good idea to go ahead and screw in your video card, the expansion slot clips don't hold very strongly. They were fine for my sound card though. I wanted to put my hard drive in the forward-facing 3.5 in mount for cabling reasons. It eventually got in there, but the toolless slides were REALLY tight and had to be forced. The side-mounted bays with the rail system work fantastically though. I just didn't have a right angle sata connector that you'd need to avoid kinking one to fit. There is a front fan port, but you physically can't get a 120mm fan in there to screw it in. Proably could by cutting out some of the interfering structure, but in my mind, that's not acceptable. The CPU air duct doesn't line up right with my cpu. I've heard this is an AMD issue. The front panel requires a LOT of force to get off, I always feel like I'm going to break it.

Other Thoughts: I just use the stock AMD heatsink, so I don't know if there's enough room to mount one of those aftermarket monster coolers. You'd definitely have to remove the duct.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice and simple case. Looks great. Buttons feel good. Easy to assemble. Plenty of room for components.

Cons: Tool-less on the slots are garbage. The locks did not hold my GPU securely. Some of them broke off.

It got a little tight when I added more hard drive. A little more room in the case woulda made things easier.

Other Thoughts: Air-flow is alright. Not great. Not bad.

Overall very happy with the purchase
