Compatibility issue ?
- Pros: Case is what I wanted when I checked it out before purchase. I could nit pick it but for the price it's ok, so far.
- Cons: I've read many, many reviews and didn't see anyone having the problems I'm having. Power supply is not compatible with the Intel Mother Board DX58SO , the DX58SO needs a 2X4 pin plug out of the power supply which is the " processor Core Power Connector ". Check Intel Tech. product Spec pages 11 and 12. also to install more than one 5.25 external drive I'll need to get the drill out and drill out some rivets ! The 2 USB plugs are different and unmarked. I just started building this system today, I received the MB and processor yesterday since Newegg was out of stock on those items., So was the rest of the country ! I see that I'll also have trouble with front panel LED's after reading reviews. Also the design that leaves those " notches" by the outside of your external drives, not cool, but it's just cosmetic. That 4 egg rating is for Newegg !
- Other Thoughts: Can't download the RMA form from Hecgroupusa.com web site, I don't have Excel ! Will call in the morning. I hope the power supply replacement doesn't eat up too much of my 30 days for return purposes in case I have to return other stuff that is being used in this build. It's going to be a fantastic system. someone posted here somewhere that they challenged anyone to build an extreme system for under $4000.00 . I'm doing it for less than 3 thou, that includes A $400.00 video card, 2 CD/DVD drives, a hard drive, card reader and the intel extreme chip for $999.99. 3 Gig fast memory, "XT can't use more than 4" . This also comes with OS XP. Maybe that $4000.00 challenge included monitor. I think I covered everything ! Newegg is fantastic !! I placed my order Sunday night and received it the next day, Monday !! And I live in Henderson, Nv. near Las Vegas. UPS was great also , no damage. Thanks Newegg for everything and giving us enough room here to post meaningful reviews.
Nice case!
- Pros: Came with a very solid PSU for the price. 585W! This case did everything I asked of it.
- Cons: Front HDD LED cable didn't fit the board I was using. Had a useless middle plug. Had to cut it off to get the LED working.
- Other Thoughts: Would buy this case again. Great for a mid-range cost-conscious build.

Introduction
HEC's 6C28BBX585 Mid Tower is great value for people who are trying to build an inexpensive system, or who want to spend more money on the inside. Four 5.25” and one 3.5” external bays plus five internal 3.5” bays provide plenty of room for storage.
An 80mm rear fan comes pre-installed, and you can mount additional fans on the front and the side panel of the case. A ducted vent is positioned in the side wall to be over the CPU fan for extra cooling efficiency.
Drive installation is easy, since both of the 5.25 and 3.5" driver bays feature one-side-screwed design. There is also a 585W PSU so you can get your system up and running faster. So, load your system up and get back in the game with the HEC 6C28BBX585.
