Nice case!!!
- Pros: This case is my third Chenming case that I have bought that is this size. This one has squeezed an extra 5-1/4" drive slot into the same space as my two other older cases. Lots of hard drive slots that are easily accessed, easy to remove MB tray, fully accessible case to reroute cabling. Front access panel to allow two front fans to be added.
- Cons: Not a lot of cons. The hard drive mounting trays are a little tight to remove. The releases get stuck in the locking hole and need to be pried out, not really a big deal once it is finally installed. No front dust filter like my other cases. Very minor cons that I can definitely live with.
- Other Thoughts: I thought that the case was going to be taller since it had 5 5-1/4 slots vs the 4 I currently have, it is exactly the same size. I am water cooling my cpu again but the HD cage is in the way of my radiator and fan. I will have to reconfigure my setup now, maybe part of it outside the case this time. Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H, AMD 64X2 5000+ 65w, GECUBE HD2900XT 512, 4gb Corsair DDR2 800 Ram, Seagate 500gb SATA.
It's Heavy
- Pros: Plenty of room, very sturdy, cheap for a large case of this caliber
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: I bought this as a replacement for my desktop case(I was running out of room) and I was glad I did. My old one was flimsy and cramped, but looked nice. I bought this thinking that I would make some major modifications, but once I had everything assembled I think that I might leave it as-is.
Perfect
- Pros: This case is very large and fit my SUPERMICRO MBD-X7DAL-E-O Dual Socket 771 Intel 5000X ATX Server Motherboard beautifully. The pull out mobo tray is great, very convenient, and the rail based drive bays work flawlessly. The case has excellent ventilation and space for plenty of extra drives/cards/etc. I didn't think I would like the two-tone color of it but it actually looks quite nice.
- Cons: It doesn't have a front external power button but that is probably for the best if it is to be used as an office server.
- Other Thoughts: A great case at a great price.
