Ever Case E4252-PCT Beige Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 300W Power Supply

Pros: I've had this case almost two years ago,. It's housing a P4 2.8C on an ASUS P4P800-family motherboard.

I've built PCs with many cases before. This is the best one I've used. Well designed, easy access to everything, and good ventilation.

I'm running this case with a Zalman 300W PS; I never used the power supply that came with it so I can't say anything about the quality of that.

Cons: None I've found.

Pros: Mostly toolless design, good airflow, side panel vents, sturdy construction, roomy, easy to remove front bezel and side panels. Easy to remove HD cage and built-in drive rentention clips. Easy to remove/replace front panel for USB/Audio/Firewire. Very impressive customer service from Evercase-USA.

Cons: Some sharp edges. Back of side panel covers rear fan screws, making it very difficult to attach side panel completely without using force after installing a rear 120mm fan if the screwhead isn't completely flat and flush. Motherboard tray not an option.

Other Thoughts: Purchased in November, 2005 from Newegg. One I bought came without PSU and fans, the 4252-91 w/front USB. Emailed Evercase-USA about accessories and got the product listing within a minute. Same with shipping query. Same with purchasing query. Great customer service. If memory serves, Newegg got this to me in 2.5 days via UPS. They got my 5 stars since I keep buying from them. :D

Comments: I thought this was just another el-cheapo case. When the box came in though I could tell right away that it was heavier than any cheap case I've ever bought. Upon further inspection I was shocked at all the bells and whistles this case has. Screwless entry, built-in hold-offs on the mobo tray, removable HDD gondola, locking tabs for the optical drives and PCI devices, chassis fan, air funnel for the CPU, and a decent mid-level PSU. Sheesh... that's a lot of cool stuff for the price. I've paid more for less in the past.

Comments: If you're looking for a great (if somewhat vanilla) classic-style case, look no further. Easily competes with the best from Enlight, Lite-on, and even InWin. Very easy to work on, and the choice of either going screwless or using mounting hardware is a nice touch. Plenty of interior room in addition to mounting options. Everything fits just as it should, and its finished appearence, while not exactly designer-quality, is pleasant enough. My only complaint is that the supplied 80mm fan I received with the case was a sleeve-bearing type. Otherwise, top recommendations.

Comments: I have used quite a few of these cases. It is the only case I sell unless someone wants something specific. Evercase seems to be making improvements as they go along. I can have a new rig put together and have Windows loading in less than 30 min in most cases. They are sturdy, no rough or sharp edges, and the power supply seems to be of good quality. I have been very pleased.

Comments: I use this case to build all my full size ATX computers, unless the customer wants black, then I use the black version. This case is probably the best case available for the money. Very well built, screwless design, no sharp edges and plenty of mounting hardware. An excellent value.

Comments: I have used two of these cases now and I would use it again.
PC cards can be screwed down contrary to an earlier review. Front USB has changed from 8 leads to 4, making it much easier to get the connections right. Roomy and truly tooless case that works great. A little plain looking, but who cares.

Comments: I have built 18+ systems with this case. The truly tool-less construction and solid feel convince you this is quality item. I haven't lost one power supply over 2 years, and the front usb port is high enough so you won't kick and ruin your USB drives. Especially in the office, that's a must. Also, you can add fans easily. Lots of drive space, and I think the card clip works great. Ordered 4 more systems this week, all with this case! NewEgg rocks!

Comments: I've used this case when building several computers. I was very satisfied with it. Didn't need the extra bays for additional hard drives so this was a great value for me.

Comments: Pretty decent case. Thick and heavy steel - give a sturdy feel but might be too heavy for some people. PSU is quite. Highly recommended.
