4 out of 5 eggsNice case for builds

Pros: Other than the weak door and having to remove the front cover to clean the air filter, this is a great case.

Great design in a TAC case.

Cons: Weak door, have to remove front cover to clean the air filter.

Other Thoughts: I've made several builds with this case (P4d's and C2d's. Add a Vantec 120mm stealth or Nexus 120mm front fan and the C2D's builds run around 38c with the Intel stock cooler. Adjust the airguide to about 1/4" from the CPU fan.

"Tech" who reviewed case on 2/6/2007 is misguided about the I/O shield. You remove the I/O shield that comes installed in the case and use the I/O shield that comes with your board. No problem.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat case

Pros: Lots of space. Very quiet - comes with rubber mounts for hard disks, I can barely hear my twin Raptors.

Cons: As others have noted, comes with no documentation and the door is pretty flimsy. I have several of the server cases that are the big brother of this case, they are very similar but have a better door design, not sure why Antec cheaped-out this model.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case, kind of cheap looking

Pros: Great cooling, installed a 120MM fan in the front, removed the plastic holder and dremeled out the grill in the front for peace and quiet.. Plenty of room, keeps my hard drives at 28C and my fanless LEADTEK WinFast PX7600GS at 40C-43C

Cons: plastic door on the front won't stay open..plastic feet on the bottom fall off immediately.

Other Thoughts: wish my motherboard had individual hard drive activity connectors for the three leds on the front.

3 out of 5 eggshalf-@** design - interior barely saves it

Pros: there is lots of space. putting devices in and taking them out couldn't be any more comfortable. that, and the removable drive cages, would be enough to make this a nice, smooth investment, but... now the downside...

Cons: the front cover is wack as wack can possibly be. it's flimsy and plastic, falls off with the slightest brush or nudge, and it offsets the alignment of the front USB ports. i fear that any USB drive i put into the port repeatedly will eventually be bent out of shape/ disfigured. i absolutely HATE the front cover.

Other Thoughts: the filter behind the front cover is an ok touch. it keeps most of the debris out, but not all. again, that front cover is a serious problem. if it weren't for the space inside and the ease of interior configuration that the space allows, i would have RMA'd this case. next time, i'm going with a c***** m*****.

4 out of 5 eggsGood box

Pros: Large box with easy tool-less access. Multi-speed manually adjustable fan is quiet and moves air nicely. Air duct on removable panel allows an overclocked E6600 Core 2 Duo to breathe rather nicely. Removable 3.5" bay for hard drives makes installation of drives easy. Comes with rubber pads to isolate vibrations from revving hard drives; makes for a quieter machine as there isn't as much metal-on-metal contact. Plenty of room for many drives.

Cons: On both Asus P5N-E SLIand P5N32-E SLI boards, the SATA and PATA connections are right under the removable 3.5" drive bay and it can get a little tight when you're installing 2 DVD-R/Ws, a floppy and 3 hard drives but I imagine this to be the situation with most ANY case. A fan in front of your hard drives wouldn't be a bad idea to keep temperatures there down; that's the hottest place in the box that I've noted to date though I'm unsure if it's hot enough to affect drive life.

Other Thoughts: It's a large box and made of steel (read as: heavy). If you go to a lot of LAN parties or otherwise transport your machine, consider something a little lighter. That being said, the steel parts can take a good portion of abuse although I suspect it'd take just a good couple of blows to damage the front door. If you're looking for a good desktop that doesn't move much and can take an occasional kick, you've found it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plenty of room, side air duct with guide to cpu hsf. Sleek, 2 usb 2.0 ports on the front are all you see. 120mm fans.

Cons: Have to take front face panel off to remove drives, even though they have rails.. I thought it was kindof strange.. but not that big of a deal. Only comes with 1 fan.

Other Thoughts: Works great for me. Its sitting in my server room running my web server. Haven't touched it other than to take one of the optical drives.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Dust filter in bezel. Easily removable bezel, drive bays, and rear I/O panel. 3-speed case fan. 3 HD LEDs. Side vents for CPU & GPUs. Silicon mounting grommets for internal drive bay.

Cons: No manual, and minimal online support.

Other Thoughts: Recieved with a small crack in the front bezel. Packaging wasn't damaged so it must've happened prior to packing - QC must've missed that one. Oh well - I'll still buy Antec.

5 out of 5 eggs1 was good, 2nd still good!

Pros: I bought my first one of this case more than a year ago. Liked it so much, bought another for the new computer. Nice space, solid construction. Easy open side is great. Removable drive chassis is also nice.

Cons: Had to buy an extra 120mm fan for the intake in the front. Shame it only comes with the exhaust fan and not both.

Other Thoughts: I dont mind the drive cover door but some people might not. Pretty easy to remove if you dont.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy-peasy install

Pros: Easily removable drive bays. IO Shield pops-off with screws to let you use your own motherboard-supplied IO shield. Seemed to fit everything.

Cons: Front fan would have been nice. A screen for the side vents would help. No 'sleep' button, which would be nice. Some more USB ports up front. Basically all the cons I'm coming up with can be answered with, "why did you buy this budget-minded case then?" Long story short, for the money, darn cool!
