Great case - Bad PSU
- Pros: The Overture 2 is a pretty case that can hold any sized ATX motherboard that i placed inside of it. This case is very easy to work in with a combination of screw-less and standard screw architecture.
- Cons: The PSU started to fail a month ago. That's less then a year in use. I needed to upgrade anyway because of my new Vid card. Easier said then done. I bought an Antec Trio 650. I had to cut a hole in my power supply (so long warranty) and reroute the cables to make it fit. Lucky the case lays flat and the PSU is in a sort of cage because i can't screw the PSU in because it's not made for the Overture 2 case. The fans are getting loud as well. Gotta change those soon..
- Other Thoughts: I use this with my LCD TV to play games, Movies, and Music. My PC is a AMD X2 4000+ (939), 2x 1GB OCZ DDR 500, 1x 300GB Dr, 1x 200GB Dr, Nvidia 8800 GTS. Extra slot fans. haven't had any heat issues so far.
Works fine for me!
- Pros: Looks nice, simple layout, solid construction. i Bought this for a HTPC, and fits nicely with other components. Just picked up another one for my 2nd htpc. i have the older overture and the overtureII is quieter and has nice fan options. i havent seen any Power supply issues people are mentioning (knock on wood)
- Cons: as other have stated, it scratches easy if youre not careful. and the blue light is a little bit on the bright side.
Flaky power supply
- Pros: Looks nice, Spacious for a desk top case because its for full sized ATX boards. Drive cages are easy to work with. Layout is good.
- Cons: Power supply acted strange from the beginning. It got rocket hot to touch and would shut itself off randomly the first 2 weeks it was owned then it died.
- Other Thoughts: I would read the reviews carefully this case seems to have a ton of powersupply problems. I am hoping to RMA just the PS to Antec to save myself money on return shipping. If the next one dies I'll have to RMA the whole case to Newegg for big money. Not enthused about trying another one because of the frequency of power supply probs in retrospect, but since I have a full sized ATX board my options are quite limited.
