4 out of 5 eggsA true workhorse. Nearly a decade, and still going strong.

Pros: Large case with a lot of room. Sturdy construction, as this lasted through three builds. The sensors and gages on the front of the case are nice too.

Cons: The front LED are very bright. If I ever decided to sleep on the couch, I had to cover this with a shirt or towel in order to fall asleep.

Other Thoughts: I have moved on to a different case. I bought this when I was a teenager. But, I'm in my late 20's now, and need a more 'mature' case.

4 out of 5 eggsStill using it

Pros: It's still going. I bought this case in 2005 and I use it today. Never had a case perform that long. Price was right and it looks great and stays cool.

Cons: Some parts have lost power. Not all of the gauges work anymore. Some of the front USB ports have failed.

Other Thoughts: What a great case. Even after all these years, it's still going strong.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Tecky looking case

Pros: Has power supply and fans already.
Side panel easily removes for easy access
Great for the price

Cons: Large
Must open front panel to start.
One fan slightly noisy at times.
Power supply only had 4 pin plugs

Other Thoughts: This was my first computer build and this case really brought things together nicely.
I did have to buy an adapter for the power supply for my hard drive ($ 3.00 Local store)
It does have a very techy look with the 3 blue lit meters in the front, the clear side panel and the blue lit fans. (This was not part of the reason for my buying)
One fan will ocassionally be noisy at start up - but so far it quiets downs after a while.
The front panel where the meters are has to be opened in order to get to the power button st start.
Not as much of a niusiance as I had thought it would be.

5 out of 5 eggsForgot one important thing!

Pros: As stated earlier but...

Cons: Get rid of the PSU included with this box unless you're just building an average, mid-performance system! It's rated at 420 watts, but it won't be enough to power a system with just ONE 7-series Geforce card and an old dual core AMD processor. Invest in a good PSU and get the bare box. The PSU that comes with this box is useless.

5 out of 5 eggsGoing strong after 4 years

Pros: Price and appearance. There's no other cases out there that looks similar, it's original. The metal is a bit thin, but it's durable enough. After 4 years and two moves (one to another country), the paint is still perfect. Not a single dent.

The gauges on the front all still work. Love the fan controller, and it still works too.

It moves enough air, but if you're buildng a high end system - ADD FANS. You'll need 2 x 80mm for the front and one 120mm (i think) for the back, then move the included rear 80mm to the side window.

It fits a Nvidia 9800 GTX+ (and similar cards), if you move the HD's down a few notches.

Easy enough to work in via the side panel with thumb screws.

Cons: It would be nice to be able to use bigger fans, but it did it's job well enough with the 5 fans I installed. Keep in mind, all parts are circa 2005, except the 9800GTX+. My system isn't putting off as much heat as some do these days.

It won't accomodate 2 large vid cards in SLI easily. The hard drives will get in the way.

I would prefer the "chrome" accents were real metal. Plastic chrome means this will never be a professional looking case, but still a nice gamer rig.

The side air duct did not match up to my CPU so I just removed it all together and stuck a fan there.

Only one air filter (side window). Also, clean that filter often or it will invert and start rubbing the fan.

All these "cons" are just minor things. After 4 years, I still like this case and it's held up pretty well in all that time.

Other Thoughts: AMD 64 4600 2.2GHZ dual core CPU
Nvidia 9800 GTX+
2 x SATA HD in RAID 0
ASUS A8N-SLI Motherbard
Silverstone 600W PSU
Sony Bravia 40 inch LCD TV

...just thought I'd review this since I'm finally buildng a new system after all this time and realized...I had this one for 4 years and this old box is still doing pretty well!

5 out of 5 eggsAhhh

Pros: Have you every seen something this pretty? Stong material, to say also.

Cons: Paint scratches easily, but you have no idea how obsessively I care for my posessions.

Other Thoughts: Cools well if you PUT FANS IN IT. I have no money, so I buy one at a time. Every apevia case is pretty. I bet the guy who marks these on inventory likes his life. I could buy every apevia case and make a museum. really.

1 out of 5 eggsPass on this.

Pros: It's a case, and that's honestly about it.

Cons: Front LEDs on all of the gauges went dead within the first month. The build quality of the case in inferior to $30 cases I have built with. While it holds all of my components, it does not feel sturdy at all. The case itself is every flimsy, even with the doors on. Just removing the door to work on the computer is risking a dent. The front panel, aside from not working at all with the gauges and controls, is very thick and the fan slot inside is useless.

The work area is very cramped and is not friendly to work with. The hard drive bays are too small for harddrives to fit, and the sides are very sharp, in turn scratching your hard drive.

The Apevia/Aspire logos seem to bend themselves and are very tacky in person.

The plastic on the front panel is just asking for your computer to overheat. As so, I have taken off one of my side panels recently because of heating issues.

Fan controls, audio controls and inputs, and gauge wires were all shorted at purchase. USB ports soon

Other Thoughts: I would recommend almost any case over this. I have built with a lot of other cases, and almost every single one has been of better quality.

The Raidmax Smilodon is a similar style case, and is 1/2 the price but 50 times it's superior.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: It acomplished everything i expected it to, and looks pretty cool. I added another fan, although it is NOT needed. My computer runs very cool, and with some basic organizations the wires worked fine.

Cons: Just make sure you buy parts for the case. You can see what this case will fit, most who have trouble are simply buying parts without thinking.

Other Thoughts: I bought some blue light cables for the interior, it keeps up with the overall style, and only costs about 10$.

2 out of 5 eggsCould be better

Pros: It is pretty.

Cons: Lets just say that whoever put the wire harness together on this one did not know what they were doing. I had 3 wires come out of the plastic connectors. they were BARELY stripped. not enough to actually put a connector on. as a result I have LEDs that turn on and off. and the top gauge does not work at all. and it did not come with enough screws to mount the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I have a Belkin desktop wireless card that wont seat compleatly into the motherboard becouse of the tab that secures it to the case contacts the case before the card will seat. I do not know if that is a problem with the case or if it is a problem with the card.
Bottom line I will not buy again.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrid

Pros: It holds the stuff

Cons: I got this case in December as a gift. I must say I am not impressed. I expected much better quality. Once I hooked everything up in May when I got the rest of my parts the side leds went out right away. on top of that if the case gets even the smallest jar the gauge lights flicker and it gets to be really annoying. There is no cable managment to speak of to help you either. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for those damned lights on the front not working.

Other Thoughts: if you are looking for a decent case...not this one. I attempted to call apevia and I litterly got LAUGHED OFF THE PHONE!!!!! what a horrid experience.
