Great Case for the price
- Pros: * Well made
* Includes fans 2 - 120mm and 1 side mount 80mm * Got as part of a deal with 600w PS for a GREAT price * With Power switch and lamps at the very top front of the case it works great if you have this PC on the floor.
- Cons: * Cables from top front switches/lights may be a bit short, depending where they need to go on your MB. Hint - Do not put a DVD/CD drive in top spot, immediately below the lights/power switch as it will force the cables to go up and over it, leaving them too short.
- Other Thoughts: Very happy with this case. Installed an EVGA I-7 MB along with 6GB ram and 3 video cards driving 6 monitors.
* Included 120mm fans are OK - they are very quiet but do not move huge volumes of air. I kept 1 and installed a Rosewill 2 Ball Bearing 120mm case fan on the back which includes it's own speed control. It works great!
OK for Price, but Far from Perfect
- Pros: The 120MM fans, front, rear & top really make for a cool case and the price is reasonable.
- Cons: As someone else said the lack of clear instructions make it hit or miss in figuring how to install the rails for the drives. I had to remove the top fan as it is positioned too close to the back of the case and my power supply would not fit.
- Other Thoughts: I purchased this case for a new build for my wife to replace her aging system. This case worked fine for her medium requirements, but I would sterr clear if you are used to well designed cases with clear instructions.
a mixed bag of features
- Pros: A lot of features for the price. Looks and works well when finally assembled. Moves some air around your components. Top mounted USB and audio connections are a plus.
- Cons: Assembly is somewhere between a bad dream and a nightmare. And I have assembled a few before. Way more than a few considering the number of times I have reassembled the same ones. I figure fifteen minutes to put a motherboard and a couple of drives in a case and button it up. More like an hour and fifteen minutes with this bad boy. There are no instructions, not even on their website. Maybe that is common and you are just supposed to intuit everything correctly. But there are some labels here and there so at least they were thinking of us. The front panel connectors are mounted at the to of the case which is great. What is not so great is that all of the wires are laughably too short for any kind of sane routing. I have the front audio connector stretched across the inside of the case like a bowstring just to get it to connect. The rails for the optical drives come in two styles, top hooks and bottom hooks. I finally gave up and just used four machine screws as normal.
- Other Thoughts: In fairness, it did eventually go together and everything works. All the fans are a nice touch and you can feel warm air coming out of the top of the case like a little chimney.
Routing the wires and installing the drives should not be near anywhere this big of a challenge.
I would still recommend buying this case but I would also recommend setting aside plenty of time and patience to get everything assembled properly.
