Don't let the fangs on the front scare you; the Smilodon is a monster under your control. Its innovative design features speed assembly and get you back on the hunt in no time. Once you're up and running, the plethora of fans will keep your system cool even in the hottest of firefights.
System setup is eased by having the mobo tray attached to the right side panel. Undo the locking screws and remove the side panels and you have a totally open chassis. Install the mobo and expansion cards to the side panel along with the CPU and memory then all you have to do is put it back in place as a unit. But first install all your drives in the tool-less racks. When both sections are assembled all you have to do is connect the wiring.
There are fans everywhere to keep your components cool. A 120mm fan is mounted on the back panel for main ventilation. The side panel has an 80mm fan to boost CPU cooling. There is a retaining bar designed to help hold your video cards in place, and that too has an 80mm fan vented to the outside.

Pros: This review is to provide some info on the case, Ive had mine for 6 months. Power Supply: 2 12v Rails, each with 2 molex and 1 Floppy (4 molex, 2 floppy total) 2 Sata power connectors, on one rail. 20+4 pin main power connector ONE(1) 4pin MB connector ONE(1) 6pin PCI connector
Cons: See other thoughts
Other Thoughts: The doors can be removed from the case, I suggest you do so in the install, so you can hide your cables. The bottom HDD bay is also removable, but the top 2 bays (CDroms and Floppy) are riveted.
To remove the door, open it, and look down at where it has its hinge. By positioning the door so its only slightly open (approx 80 degrees, where 90 is when the door is closed in the case) you can lift it out, it may catch until you get the angle right, and may do the same when closing. The Fan arm can be removed in a similar fashion, just use your eyes.

Pros: This case is probably my new favorite among the 40-odd computers I have built for people. I love that it is steel, though it IS quite heavy. So things not listed that are cool about this case: The hard drive enclosure on the bottom front of the case is removable. This makes installing drive so much faster and easier! There is an included tool kit that has the drive mounts for the HD Enclosure. It also has a good assortment of screws and small parts. If you look at the illustration that shows the rear ¾ view, look at the bottom of the case? See a small green tab? That is the toolbox. The Dirk-Tooth is awesome as once you swing it closed; there are three adjustable “fingers” that bridge the gap between the fan and the video card to help support heavy cards. It is even wide enough for dual video cards! The giant fans are awesome, and there is room to add one to the MoBo side of case, where the vent opening already is.
Cons: If you can really call it that, the only con I can find is this thing is HUGE. It barely fits on my desk, and is a full 5 inches deeper than my old case. All that extra space makes for a great and easy to install case with lots of airflow.
Other Thoughts: The magnets on the door are intentionally weak, so that a CD drive that opens will kick the door open rather than jam or break the CD tray. I paired this case up with an ASUS M2N-SLI motherboard (item # N82E16813131013) for a great combination. Very Happy with this case!

Pros: Great cooling, easy to install. Most drives are screwless install. Great looking, better if the lights were blue. Smilodon means Saber-Toothed Tiger, which I have loved since I was a kid. Very strong and well made. Everything you would expect from a steel case.
Cons: It didn't install itself. It refused to get me more Dr. Pepper so I had to use my kids for child labor. It is too quiet. The lights are not Blue, nor are they Purple or red. I think it bit me during install. The front USB and sound ports are a bit low for my tastes. It makes my friends want one too. Needs expensive Elecricity to run the power supply instead of air. My children can find the power button when I am not around.
Other Thoughts: I was very impressed with this case. I have built hundreds of PC's in the last 10 years and this was one of the easiest cases to work with. Oh.. The arm with the fan on it comes off... stop having people hold it for you. The door comes off as well and makes the MB install very simple. Really the only thing I would change in this case is the power supply and up it to about 800 watts. But that is easy enough to do. The Price is unbeatable for what you get. The Egg, as always, shipped my stuff the same day and I got it quick.

Pros: System "looks" good easy to use...motherboard screws were premounted...case layout is good.
Cons: POWER SUPPLY D.E.A.D. ; will have to spend more on a different power supply...bought the case a couplamonthsago but am just assembling now...got everything connected and..."dud" NO POWER...I sent an urgent help request to the MFG...(it's Saturday) I will let you know if I get a response by Monday evening...wish I could have given it a ZERO!
Other Thoughts: My suggestion, If you purchase this tower...make sure you get the EXTENDED insurance AND when the tower arrives...MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IT IMMEDIATELY.

Pros: Very cool design led design, very good air circulation
Cons: absolutely none!
Other Thoughts: the fan might be little loud if you are going to put it right beside you on the desk. make sure you buy a male to female molex splitter if you are going to: buy more fans, use a 2xmolex to 1x8 pin cpu connetor, use graphic card that requires power cable.

Pros: The case looks great from afar...
Its definitely well ventilated.
Cons: The power supply that was provided for me was completely faulty. When it was time to turn on the computer to see the BIOs for the first time, nothing happened. Did a quick voltage check and found my power supply was not giving me any power. $40 later with a coolmax PS, my system was running smoothly.
Even the faulty power supply was bad anyways. It came with two SATA power connectors, on the same line.... If you are planning on connecting a SATA dvd driver with a SATA HD, forget about it. The HD storage is all the way on the bottom, and CD's are on top. It'll never reach.
The clear plexi-glass was slightly cracked at each point where a screw was attaching it to the side case. It wasscrewed on too tightly.
After some engineering with the loose wiring for the front fan, it finally started to spin.
The paint job wasn't very smooth. The top of the case has bubbles from uneven spraying.
Other Thoughts: So... yeah... its a risk... If everything comes correctly and all these problems above are fixed then this could easily be a 5 egg case. However, when i'm paying almost 100 bucks, I dont want to have to spend more money upgrading the power supply and worrying about quality assurance.
OH, and i sent an email to RAIDMAX, no response yet.
