Great Case, Wrong Side Window
- Pros: The case is awesome!! The toolless design made building my computer easy. The case is very solid w/ few sharp edges. It has plenty of room to work with. It is actually very quiet. Also, it's dimond cut front and glossy black finish is beautiful.
- Cons: The only complaint is that the case that new egg advertises is not exactly the same as what I got. The side window is the only difference. New egg shows a "moon shaped" window w/ locking side 'hinges' but I got a full square cut side window with back thumb screws (for removal), which I like better anyway, so its not really a con. If you want to know what it looks like, go to silverstone's product page to review it. It shows the window as an option and it is not the one that newegg had advertised
- Other Thoughts: This case could run cooler, but it is average.
CPU runs cooler when rear fan is NOT running.
Better than most but...
- Pros: Heavy gage steel. Excellent drive bay design and drive mount system. Roomy. Nice style (whether or not you like the plexiglass side cover).
- Cons: Additional standoffs seem flimsy. Floppy drive installation requires HD bay removal. Instructions do not cover floppy drive bay removal or wire connections.
- Other Thoughts: Front access USB and 1394 connections are at very bottom front of case. Overall not as well designed as other Silverstones, but still better than most other cases.
Overall great case
- Pros: Nice simple clean design. Removeble drive case. The drive toolless design is great too. Though the last 3 1/4 bay still needs screws.
- Cons: If you want to use the 5.25 bays without removing the bay covers you might have some problems. You have to break 2 small clips and remove a part of the front bay panels that comes off easily. Other than that no big problems.
- Other Thoughts: They sent me an updated version. Much better then the one listen here on newegg. It has no fan grills. comes with 2 fans instead of 1. And it came with a complete window panel instead of the window panel shown. Which I thought looked mugch better.
Don't hold any parts hard, got a cut on of of my finger. It was my fault though.
